321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Crypto News Websites - Where do you find your crypto news? on: February 21, 2020, 05:39:07 AM
I mostly rely on the feed from Cointelegraph, Coindesk, Cryptoadventure, and Cryptopress. I see you already have the two popular crypto blog platforms in the list, maybe you might want to consider adding Cryptoadventure and Cryptopress as well. They have a very good web interface and their news are straight to the point.
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Visa approves Coinbase as Principal Member - big step for mass adoption? on: February 20, 2020, 11:34:12 PM
I was very happy when I heard this news and i know we are going to see more crypto approvals and regulations in the upcoming years. Hopefully, VISA might integrate the use of cryptocurrencies not necessarily bitcoin but any workable currency unto its payment platform to be used. Can't wait to see this happen.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving: What is it? on: February 19, 2020, 01:25:26 PM
This is the cycle where the reward of bitcoin that is given to miners is halved. We have had two halvings already since the launch of bitcoin in 2009. Initially the genesis block reward was 50 then we halved to 25 and now block reward is at 12.5. In May of this year, the reward is going to be halved to 6.25 and this is likely going to increase the price of bitcoin. Some are speculating the price of bitcoin to reach way over $20K
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Potential Lawsuit to Bitcoin on: February 18, 2020, 08:42:26 PM
Seriously this guy should give us a break about all his rants of being the creator of bitcoin. We have had enough of it and they are pointless since he has not been able to prove true ownership of Bitcoin. So I am asking myself how is he going to suit BSV and BTC when he is not the rightful owner. I think it's high time we ignored Craig and all his baseless arguments.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NOW the time to get into Ethereum ? on: February 18, 2020, 02:52:33 PM
Yes this is the time to invest in Ethereum pending the launch of its Proof of Stake protocol. The price of Ethereum has started rising already but i still think it's still within a good zone to invest into it. Bitcoin halving coupled with the launch of PoS protocol on the Ethereum chain is likely going to shoot the price way above $500. Right now the price is around $200+ and so you are likely to earn over 100% on your return on investment if all things being equal.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why exchange coins moving up.. on: February 18, 2020, 12:00:49 PM
The reason why exchange coins move up regularly is the liquidity and demand that is created for it by the exchange platform. For instance, some exchanges offer reduction of fees for users who trade using the native coin/token of the exchange as fees. In addition, others also burn some of their currencies from time to time to reduce the amount of their coin in circulation. Consider Binance coin for example, they burn some of their coin periodically and this has contributed in its price growth.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: February 18, 2020, 11:54:13 AM
Thanks for this word of caution @OP. Sometimes we get so intrigued by a project we tend to forget that some of them can exit as scam project. I remember I invested hugely into a project called MiracleTele and it had a great use case but along the line ,this project started showing some signs of exit scam but i was so absorbed into the project i failed to see the reality. Now, this project is dead and i have lost huge sums of money. Let's always try and do a good research about any project we invest in and always be cautious too.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Industry and Cryptocurrency! on: February 18, 2020, 05:39:36 AM
The gaming industry has seen great improvement with the introduction of cryptocurrencies. I remember in one of the games provided by Enjin coin gamers had the opportunity to complete several levels to earn enjin coin and within that same platform liquidate the Enjin coin to BTC and withdraw. I hope the games listed by OP allows users to withdraw their funds and spend.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Hardware wallet really secure enough? on: February 17, 2020, 06:41:27 AM
Absolutely, hardware wallets are the best form of keeping your cryptocurrencies safe because hardware wallets store your private keys offline and this makes it highly impossible for anybody to access your funds from a remote area. I prefer to use the Ledger or Keepkey wallet other than Trezor though, maybe you should try that out as well.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want your Bticoin. Don't fall for this new scam, it's too real on: February 17, 2020, 06:16:55 AM
Thanks for this quick alert. I think it's high time these scammers and hackers pick up a new style of deceiving people lol. This one is pretty old, archaic and does not make sense until you get so greedy to fall for this. Anyway, i hope newbies are learning from this and also to try and get a work to do in this industry so that you don't really get to the point of considering these kinds of worthless proposals.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CHINA NEED PRAYERS AND NOT BITCOIN on: February 17, 2020, 12:51:41 AM
Since some people start to talk about Donate China over Corona Virus, while the fact is that China is the Second Rich Country in the world for that they just Need Prayers to overcome Coronavirus outbreak and treat well people I think in terms of the money they can Afford

May God help china
Trust me they don't need prayers but they need to be honest with the rest of the world as to how and when this whole disease started. Did you know that just recently it came out that about a million people had already traveled out of Wuhan City before the City was locked down? They feared the criticization of WHO and put the whole world in danger. Now you see how this disease is spreading rapidly, i just pray for the lost souls rather and hope this whole menace is brought under control.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First petition to lift CryptoCurrency Ban in Pakistan- your suggestions needed on: February 16, 2020, 10:17:01 PM
That's a great initiative mate. I would be following up on this to see whether your authorities are actually going to heed to it. Then I can make similar suggestions in my country. They have not made any strict regulations concerning it but they have labeled bitcoin as a big scam making many people dislike the idea of using bitcoins for transactions.
333  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin withdrawal fee is damn high in exchanges! on: February 15, 2020, 10:06:18 PM
This is so true and sometimes i think the exchanges are extorting huge fees from us. Initially i thought it was because bitcoin was at very low prices below $5K but i have realized that no matter the price increase in Bitcoin some exchanges are still going to take huge fees.
I have this view that the withdrawal feels should be constant but based on the currentt trading price of the coin. So for instance, if bitcoin should be at $50K would Binance still be charging $0.0005 BTC? That would be huge and insane

335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than your bank! on: February 11, 2020, 11:20:28 PM
No doubt about that! I barely save any huge amount of monies in the banks because they give only pennies on any investment plan they offer. One issue that actually got me off saving hugely in banks is the fact that some monies of some of their users are taken if any unforeseen circumstances occur and relatives are not able to contact the banks.

You also don't get to spend your money at your own will and freedom when you save at the banks but with Bitcoin it's the opposite!

338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Change mainstream media's perception on "Bitcoin being used by thieves" on: January 30, 2020, 03:37:22 PM
Most governments have succeeded in bad-mouthing bitcoin and its goal but we as crypto enthusiasts know perfectly that this is not true so it's incumbent on us to educate people and let them know the real use of bitcoin. Definitely bad and corrupt people have taken advantage of the anonymous feature of bitcoin transactions but we need to make it clear that, this does not define bitcoin.

We can do this if everybody puts a little effort in it and educate people within your own niche.
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised!!! on: January 30, 2020, 03:11:20 PM
Woww, this information is very resourceful mate @OP. I made a review about Bitcion SV and Bitcoin Cash and i thought those were the only forked coins of bitcoin not knowing the exist numerous of them. Well i think BSV and BCH seems to be the prominent ones who claim to fulfilling Satoshi's vision by increasing the block limit size of bitcoin to increase speed of transactions across the network.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee called BITCOIN as a Shitcoin! on: January 30, 2020, 10:39:18 AM
John seems to have lost it this time around because i remember him sharing some anticipation towards the bull run of bitcoin and now he is saying the opposite. Anyway, people are free to share their opinions just let them not get to you, brush it off and move on. This should not be given the attention that  we are giving it, let's focus much more on the developments of Lightning network and how it would improve upon the scalability of bitcoin.
