701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Ways to earn crypto without investing or mining on: October 24, 2019, 11:56:48 AM
Well there are several ways through which one can earn from crypto through his/her efforts and i guess you have covered this pretty well. However, working for crypto companies is not easy and mostly you have to be recommended by someone already in the game. I quite remember when i used to write to some projects through angel.co but never got hired until a good friend of mine introduced me personally to some managers. Ever since then i don't really use my profile at angel.co anymore, through some friends and partners i get hired.
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens If China Bans Bitcoin Mining? on: October 24, 2019, 10:04:26 AM
Banning bitcoin in China would be a big blow to the entire network as this is likely to slow down transactions as the OP rightly said. However i think Bitmain and other mining farms need to relocate to outskirts of cities and towns instead of being within the community if that's the situation at the moment. Because the mining of bitcoin really causes noise pollution and i think relocating to the outskirts of towns would be a good resolution. Using sound proof doors is likely going to increase the heat within the the farm and using cooling systems can also increase their cost of electricity consumption.
Also, i think mining farms which still use coal to mine should be made to stop as this also pollutes the environment.
703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020? on: October 23, 2019, 10:06:11 PM
The increased adoption and use of cryptocurrencies would definitely bring about an increase in price but the pivot of actually resides in bitcoin halving in the month of May. This is what is going to bring about a possible moon price of bitcoin again. Let's not forget also that about 85% of the total supply of bitcoin have been mined and this is also another factor which would contribute to another all time high rise of bitcoin if all things being equal.
704  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC- When it back to 20k on: October 23, 2019, 05:15:30 PM
Bitcoin ain't crossing even $15k anytime soon not to think of $20k Grin. It's quite sad you bought in at such a high price. Amidst all the regulations that are popping up in the cryptosphere i doubt bitcoin would cross $20k soon. My advice would be sell 50% of your BTC and invest in another solid project and use that to recover your loss whiles still holding that 1 BTC just in case bitcoin does it magic one more time.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's up with Ethereum? on: October 23, 2019, 03:54:06 PM
There is nothing wrong with Ethereum. It's the entire crypto market that is under big dump. BTC's dominace took the whole market with it when it crushed. Also, most people are not investing into Ethereum as of back then, these days everybody is investing into Bitcoin hence its rising dominance over the entire crypto market.
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency in the next financial crisis on: October 23, 2019, 10:38:34 AM
You have a very strong point though it might look a bit difficult to occur. So many currencies are struggling in the internation market. For instance in most African countries  a dollar is about 5x worth their currency which is bad. The worst of it all, most of them are huge importers other than exporters further worsening their currency. If things are to down fast i think African countries would suffer the most
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Selection of coins, your thoughts? on: October 22, 2019, 11:38:32 PM
Most of the cryptocurrencies that you have selected are good coins to invest but it would be great if you can do away with VET and add BNB as Binance coin has been seeing some great developments off late which brought about a whole increase in its price.  Also, the launch of its DEX brings more value to its cryptocurrency i the long run.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's acceptance in the World on: October 22, 2019, 09:13:26 PM
There is a major issue which is becoming resistance in the way of Bitcoin to be accepted globally and it is its "Volatility".
In the near past we have seen Bitcoin dropping more than 15% in a matter of 3-4 hours. And there are a number of cases in the past like this.

This property is too much dangerous for any entity which is holding Bitcoin. If a company sells products/services of 10000$ and receive payment in Bitcoin, and bitcoin loses 10% in one day then basically company has lost 10% worth of their products.
That's right, volatility of bitcoin is a great hindrance to the global acceptance of it but i guess such companies can always convert their bitcoin to stable currencies such as tether. But i guess they all want to make profits when bitcoin rises so why complain when the market crushes lol.
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: October 22, 2019, 03:49:22 PM
The reality yet painful truth that most of us have to get along with yet we still have false hopes in so many shit projects. Damn, i remember i had invested and also join a bounty campaign and earned so much TELE tokens. At DEX price it was about $0.2 and i was holding over 9k+. Now this token is worthless. I guess we have to learn our lessons from now onwards, only invest in BTC!
710  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Compare Your Trading ideas with others ? on: October 22, 2019, 02:05:43 PM
Sure i do and it has been of great help because through reading some tactics on several trading channels i got to know about the 72-hour crypto volatility cycle. I have joined several trading groups as well where we share ideas and news about market movements and this also have been of great help in my crypto trading activities.
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are People Losing Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 21, 2019, 10:40:49 PM
I strongly doubt that. The price of bitcoin or its marketcap has no relation with the interest of people in Bitcoin. bitcoin is volatile as it has always been and these fluctuations are very normal to most of us. The interests of bitcoin is still growing and so many industries across the globe are joining in. Some teams in the European countries have even started using bitcoin to pay for tickets and also shop for football items.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Energi's (NRG) charity, what do you think? on: October 21, 2019, 06:42:28 PM

What do you think about a charity being connected to a coin?  Personally I think it's great as they are making an impact. There are very few coins / tokens that actually make a difference in the blockchain space, never mind in the world. On top of that, i've seen a lot of projects that are trying to improve the environment but have done nothing, Energi has planted 3,000 trees in one campaign, cleaning up beaches and helping orphans, I hope they continue to grow this part of their ecosystem.
Well i believe this environmental campaign of Energy coin will go a long way to promote the project as well. It's quite impressive though, at least the outside world would see some benefits of crypto startups. 3000 trees planted is a great achievement and i guess they deserve a big thumbs up.

Well my question is, do we have some statistics about this as all i see is people taking pictures on their instagram page. You know if we can see these plants actually being planted as well as their location, then we can give ourselves like a year or two and see the results.
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin finding its way through football on: October 21, 2019, 04:10:46 PM
Though the progression might take time but i believe bitcoin will be globally adopted in future. I stumbled across these information i believe it's great sharing in here so that those whom seem not to have much hope in Bitcoin global adoption will have second thoughts. These football teams are well-known and i believe in no time other popular football teams would join the train. Can't wait to see my favourite team, Barcelona join this train though. Let's be optimistic about the future of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies amidst the scams Grin

714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your crypto before death? on: October 21, 2019, 03:35:14 PM
I have seen some platforms to handle the inheritance of crypto assets. You can use them to secure your crypto assets. Or you can try to follow some tips based on many articles/books, just googling and choose the best one. The point is how you can note your asset's data and let someone you trust to know it.

Example of articles/books related to the inheritance of crypto assets :

Thanks for sharing these sites. I never knew some blockchain startups offer such help. I would read more about Safehaven as they seem legit to me. Hopefully, i can use their services in the near future because this is an important thing which needs to be looked at. i can imagine the number of bitcoins that has been lost forever Sad I think y'all can check it out too
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO projects with very good rating on: October 21, 2019, 02:57:39 PM
When i search i found ICO projects with very good rating, this rating posted buy ICO rating websites, how this rating works, websites did not mention about the factors use to rate this projects.
Rating sites like ICObench, kickico etc. all use different parameters in rating ICOs but the general ones that i know is that, they look at some of the parameters below:
1. The experience of the team members
2. the feasibility of the project's use case
3. The token economics
4. Established partnership with relevant companies
5. Any developed product already working

This together with other intricate details are what some of these ICO ratings consider when rating crypto projects.
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC, why do some people just get it, others really don't? on: October 21, 2019, 01:29:25 PM
Change is one of the things which does not occur rapidly you know. Some folks have strong perceptions about the use of bitcoins such as it being a scam, not secured etc. The worst part of it all is that they are not willing to listen! It's going to take a while with such folks though.

There is another group of people who are always willing to embrace change. These are the kind of people who go the extra mile after being introduced to the use of bitcoins. I quite remember when i was first introduced to bitcoin back in the days. I got so intruiged by the technology and wanted to know more. Through my researches and out of curiosity i got scammed by $150. That did not keep me down though, i kept on reading about it and how to use it and now i am a pro  Cool
I guess it'a all about the will and nothing else.
717  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin's Weak Points on: October 21, 2019, 08:08:10 AM
I agree with you that blockchain technology is hard to understand for the average joe and most of them don't want to put the effort to do it, so I think the solution would be to create user friendly interfaces and ecosystems where the user can use BTC and other cryptocurrencies just like he would be using money - eg. select a name, enter the amount to send and tap on "send" button & vice-versa. QR codes would be useful as well. As a matter of fact I've just given myself an idea. lol
That's right, we the world out there might probably not have the interests in learning how to make transactions with the use MEW, ledger of any other cryptocurrency wallet but if made simple with just some few clicks i think that would be great. There is this project (BitCash -https://www.choosebitcash.com/) which have made it possible to send cryptocurrencies by just using the name of the person on Twitter, Twitch, Instagram.
NB: i have not tried it myself but they have a community using it so i guess it's all good to go after you do your own research as well.
718  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we looking at Bitcoin down to $5K? on: October 21, 2019, 02:34:31 AM
That will be a huge downfall which i doubt ever happening especially with the news of bitcoin halving just around the corner. It's possible to see the levels of $7k-$8k but i doubt we would ever sink below this range to over $5k. This is the best of times to get friendly with the use of stable currencies lol.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not trust New wallets with your fund on: October 20, 2019, 08:03:54 PM
Trust is something that is earned over a long period of time after interacting with some entity for a over a long time and full of transparency too. You are very right, new wallets really don't have much nothing to lose as cryptocurrency wallets such as TRON, Blockchain, Trust, Ledger, Ellipal etc. hence they would not hesitate to abscond with the funds of its users if they are not able to run their project. Always go with the most renowned and trusted wallets like the ones i mentioned above. Don't forget Coinomi/Atomic too, these are good cryptocurrency wallets which allows easy swap of cryptocurrencies as well.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If You Died Tomorrow, What Would Happen To Your Crypto? on: October 20, 2019, 05:25:59 PM
This thought had once occured to me before and i figured it would really be a total waste of time to accumulate some amount of money in crypto and if unfortunately i should pass away nobody gets to spend it. So i have been saving my keys on an offline and giving instructions on how to spend some cryptocurrencies. This is sometimes tiring as i need to give so many directions. In addition, i have talked to a very bossom friend of mine to help my family in case the unevitable happen to me someday Sad
