261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Blockchain-based decentralized instant messaging apps? on: March 20, 2020, 12:42:13 PM
Thanks for sharing these insights @OP I never knew such instant messaging applications have already been deployed and being used. But then i tend to wonder why most crypto users are still stuck with Discord and Telegram though i personally prefer Discord to telegram due to the organization of chat channels.
Anybody also heard any recent development of the launch of telegram blockchain.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is all set to boom now... on: March 20, 2020, 10:53:24 AM
Absolutely! Actually the price of ETH started to rise as its upcoming switch to the use of PoS protocol was drawing nearer until the whole pandemic of COVID 19 slowed world markets which affected the crypto market as well. Once things are calming down the price of ETH would pick up again especially as it gets closer and closer to the month of July when the update is going to happen.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steem blockchain will hardfork tomorrow. on: March 20, 2020, 10:24:55 AM
Is the fork official?
Looks legit.
Huobi and Binance Support Community-Led Steem Hard Fork
This is free money to bagholders of steem.
hahaha...you know right and I am glad to be holding quite a sizeable bag myself. When i heard Justin Sun purchased steam i knew something of this sort might pop up since the steam community would not want Justin to control the affairs of the network. I guess my thoughts were right finally, the hardfork is coming and those who bought steem are now making profits with the surge in price.
264  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coronavirus scam email - do not donate bitcoin on: March 20, 2020, 09:39:28 AM
OMG! Are people these heartless, Darn! The world has become an unsafe place indeed to the extent that some folks want to take advantage of such a pandemic issue and scam innocent souls of their hard-earned money. I am glad this alert was sent out as soon as possible and i hope people don't fall for this though. Goshh, soo annoying.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will coronavirus encourage people to use crypto more thoroughly? on: March 19, 2020, 01:32:28 PM
Nope, but at least it would open their minds to the fact that if breaking the chain of how the virus is spreading then digital currencies should surely be used in the coming days. I heard the issue about China actually disinfecting currencies that come to the banks before issuing it out to the people again. I believe this has even help control the spread because yesterday i heard Wuhan did not record any new case of COVID-19.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are having rough days, are you still a HODL? on: March 19, 2020, 01:25:19 PM
Well, it would be a great loss to your portfolio if you should sell at this moment. The best of strategies at the moment is to either buy more in addition to whatever good cryptocurrency you have or better still to minimize your risk just hold unto the coins you have. Selling is never the choice at this point in time lol.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did this guy just find the founder of Bitcoin? on: March 18, 2020, 09:27:46 AM
I think if its anything to get to know about the whereabouts of Satoshi and who he really is this forum has seen enough of it and mostly lead to a futile search. Don't waste your time on some of these claims mate, He does not want to be known and i think we should respect that decision of his and move on.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Store your bitcoin on: March 18, 2020, 09:06:26 AM
Many crypto investors especially newbies are scared of this huge market crash but if you have been in this industry for at least 5 years this would be of no surprise to you at all. This time is rather good and cheap to buy more bitcoins and hold till the future when the market starts to rise. This would generate huge profits for those who bought in at this level.
269  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Can i get bsv in blockchain wallet? Plaese help. on: March 18, 2020, 09:03:25 AM
Sorry about your situation mate, but I think maybe you should reach out to the support channel of Blockchian.com. If there is anyway they can help you I am sure they would let you know. This is the link to shoot them a message through their support line https://support.blockchain.com/
270  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-13] Despite Bitcoin Price Dips, Crypto Is a Safe Haven in the Middle Ea on: March 17, 2020, 10:13:45 PM
The only way I think these people are considering crypto as a safe haven for to sustain the value of their funds is the fact that though crypto may be volatile the prices bounce back with time, unlike fiat currency. Some currencies have been depreciating in value for the past 15 years and don't see any signs of rising. Well, in seeing crypto as a safe haven for funds, it has to be a coin with a good market cap, recognized worldwide and been in this industry for the past 3 years at least.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Corona Virus Created by BTC Whales on: March 16, 2020, 01:30:46 PM
Let's stop with all these wild accusations because it would not help us in anyway. How did you come by with all these baseless accusations in the first place? Do you think anybody is happy with this pandemic? These so called whales also have members of the external family who are in places like China, Italy, France etc. and have every chance of getting this disease, do you think they would have the wicked to heart to orchestrate this dubious acts all in the name of making money? Come on @OP, cut us some slack when it comes to this issue.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Italian Red Cross accepts BTC as donations to fight the corona virus on: March 16, 2020, 01:24:33 PM
That's a great initiative to help the people in Italy. frankly speaking I don't know why the Italians have been hit so greatly with this pandemic but I think this is the least of help people all across the globe can be off help to them. Just yesterday I heard they have recorded the highest daily deaths since this pandemic broke out. I would donate to this programme at the end of the month when I am paid at the end of the month by my company.
273  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we agree BTC is not a store of value? on: March 16, 2020, 01:17:49 PM
Bitcoin is not a good store of value because the very people who claim to be supporting it are full of doubts about its future anytime its price drops. We need to learn how to trust the volatile system and also learn how to hodl during these times but in reality you can tell what people should do with their money so it ends up being dumped on the market. That's exactly what we are seeing at the moment with all the panic selling which is crushing the price of bitcoin.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the market stand this trial on: March 15, 2020, 05:41:09 PM
Sure, the crypto market has seen worst of days since its inception and that is the more reason why most crypto enthusiasts who have been in this industry are not panicking at this stage. Whales are taking much profits right now as they buy cheap from panic sellers.
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Doomed ? on: March 15, 2020, 05:26:08 PM
No, It's not only bitcoin which has seen such a huge plunge in value. Stocks across the globe has seen a major decline in marketcap and I believe this is due to the slow economic growth and development due to the halting of activities as a result of the spread of Coronavirus.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Woman Funding ISIS With Bitcoin on: March 15, 2020, 03:52:04 PM
These are some of the reasons why the government of nations don't want to legalize the use of cryptocurrencies. The level of privacy is high, though good bad people would take advantage of this and use it for their obscene activities. I am glad this woman has been brought under the law to serve as a warning to others who might be doing this same thing with cryptocurrencies.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be a good idea to gift bitcoin? on: March 15, 2020, 03:36:25 PM
Before gifting it out have you at least educated her slightly about it? The reason why I am bringing this out is that, this amount of bitcoin is likely going to be lost if you have not done these. it's a great offer upon all standards but make sure we don't lose this amount of bitcoin in circulation together with the ones we have already lost.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be real projects on: March 14, 2020, 12:57:18 PM
That's the blatant truth @OP. Some of the projects that get launched into this space seem to be promising all that they can't accomplish in the name to lure investors in. What we see in the end is a dead project with no liquidity causing investors to lose huge sums of money. i think we have come a long way to fall for these scams again.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when price is dump?? on: March 14, 2020, 12:15:20 PM
In such a major market crash there are only two things that comes in mind. You either hodl unto the assets you have or buy more of some good cryptocurrencies with a solid use case which you know according to your research is going to bring you some good returns in the future when the market rises again.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Virgin coins from 2010 are on the move! on: March 14, 2020, 12:12:13 PM
To me it doesn't look like these coins are necessarily being sold. I'm far from the best Blockchain analyst out there, but if I see this correctly, all those BTC have been sent to a single address and then they were split into 15BTC addresses (https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/74c8189118f83e45d51ea480cc91f37d8a089efbebf1a2e9bf7a52e16f1f67df).

This is probably a panic selling. Its already obvious that we are still in the midst of bearish market. Typically a holder wouldnt even move a budge just to sell it on a desperate attempt. But our situation with all the markets are down, some cant be blame for selling and fear to lose their asset some value. Anyway, the market already down by huge since last night and still going down more. I am afraid it would touch down 3k level if this continue.
I highly doubt someone holding from 2010 is panic selling. If they've been through and resisted against every single BTC rise and drop it had in its history, the current moves of BTC are nothing compared to the past.
I agree with you perfectly, someone holding as way back as 2010 is definitely not selling at this point. He probably might be thinking of splitting his funds unto different wallets for further security so that in case it is hacked he does not lose them all. this is the cryptosphere and you can never be too sure of some of the attacks of hackers.
