541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confused, Your thoughts is needed on: December 05, 2019, 06:23:04 PM
Well, it depends on quite a number of factors you know.
1. For instance you need to consider the total supply of the coin that we are having such an allocation. Because if this is quite small then definitely it would cause such a huge dump but if the token is huge then it's nothing serious.
2. The use case of the project together with a working product are the backbone of every good token. If these are set right, then it does not matter how people dump, the price would shoot up for sure.
542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After years in this space...I am now a BTC/ETH maximalist (Both are important) on: December 04, 2019, 09:53:36 AM
That's some great motivation @OP. Well i have also been in this industry for quite sometime now and the only blockchains i have ever got to trust is bitcoin and ethereum. Just as you said, the use cases of Ethereum far exceeds that of Bitcoin, i guess the reason why Bitcoin is still higher than Ethereum is most investors rather prefer investing into it more than Ethereum. Let's hope this PoS of Ethereum might bring us all some nice pump.
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friends of Satoshi on: December 02, 2019, 02:52:54 PM
The think of the mystery is everyone just keeps focusing on Satoshi and who that might be.
No one is really searching for people who may have known that person or persons.

There are several people out there. Who do know who Satoshi is and did talk to him at least. Why are we not focusing on those people? the friends?
For what reason reason mate and where do you think all this search would lead you? Would this bring any solution about bitcion's technology? The obvious answer is no. i am really getting tired of all these searches about Satoshi, can't we focus this energy else on something relevant that can help in improvement of bitcoin and the blockchain technology as a whole.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enforcing government regulations on: December 02, 2019, 09:43:28 AM
Sure, the governments can enforce some regulations about the use of bitcoin in the real world but what if we continue to use in the digital world like it has always been? There will always people who are willing to purchase bitcoin and others who might want to sell in this industry. I don't know about all of you guys but i think we made the governments believe this industry have seen great heights even without their participation.
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What other uses does Blockchain have aside from Cryptocurrency? on: December 02, 2019, 09:27:49 AM
Maybe i need you to become aware of certain problems so that you can see the essence of the blockchain technology.
1. Have you ever had to wait for long hours in order to cast your vote? Well this happened in the shortest time possible with the use of blockchain technology when used in voting and it was a great success.
https://medium.com/bpfoundation/election-voting-blockchain-case-studies-18321c379529

2. Have you had to take the bitter pill of seeing just one individual abscond with the tax payer's money and have no trace of evidence to hold him up with?

Trust me, i can go on and on and might never end.
If you ever had to ensure some of these uncomfortable situations then you will scream on top of your lungs anytime the adoption of blockchain technology is at stake.
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It’s dying for the 378th time, so when’s the 379th? on: December 01, 2019, 12:53:48 PM
Lol, never pay attention to these naysayers mate, most of them base their decisions and comments on the current prices of bitcoin. For those who have been in this industry for quite sometime now would notice that this is a normal trend where bitcoin price usually dips pending an upcoming bitcoin halving. These are time of purchasing bitcoins, hodl them and wait for the rise after halving Grin
547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has entered a shop (non-BTC accepting) and asked if they will accept Crypto? on: December 01, 2019, 12:36:56 PM
I have not seen in any grocery shop or supplies shop that accept bitcoin in my community but i remember about 3 weeks ago i run short of fiat currency and i asked the shopkeeper if he accepts bitcoin. To my amazement, he said he has no clue about what that is and i was quite shocked. I think we all have a part to play in spreading news about bitcoin as another mode of payment. I explained things to him later and he said he would read more about it and let me know if he would add BTC as another form of payment.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe satoshi is dead on: November 30, 2019, 07:33:03 PM
maybe SATOSHI is dead and BTC is at mercy of GITHUB developers, owned by blockstream

what you guys think ?
Yes he is and can you guys leave him in peace so that he can have a successful "RIP". All these queries about his identities and whereabouts are definitely a pain in his butt and you guys need to put an end to this once and for all Angry. If he wants to be known he would have done this about 5 years ago. Let's all learn to respect a man's last wishes!
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum staking concept 2020 (Proof of stake) on: November 30, 2019, 06:42:07 PM
Running a proof of stake protocol will surely be a good idea and will go a long way to increase the price of Ethereum next year when it gets launched. I believe this is one of the best moments and cheapest way to get your hands on some ETH waiting for this imminent pump. This is because validators on the network would have to accumulate a whooping amount of 32ETH and this will definitely bring about an increase in ETH's value.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, What did you buy with your bitcoins on Black Friday? on: November 30, 2019, 11:48:52 AM
Ah yes, Black Friday...i made some cosmetic purchases but unfortunately the online market that i shop at don't accept bitcoin as a mode of payment so i had to liquidate some bitcoins and make the purchase in fiat. However, i made a request to their support team to inculcate this into their future plans because digital currencies is definitely the future. Hopefully, this would fall on good ears and improve upon the adoption of bitcoin. I did this in my own little effort. Y'all should try and do your best.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was Hal Finney the real Satoshi? on: November 30, 2019, 11:34:07 AM
OMG! so can't you guys ask any question other than the identity of Satoshi? Is this going to bring any bread on your table? There is so much to learn about cryptocurrency, blockchain technology and the whole digital world which senior forum members are willing to help explain to you. But no, you guys choose to ask that one question which has been asked over a hundred times in here.

All questions regarding the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto are yawned at!
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You think that governments might adopt cryptocurrencies to replace fiat currency on: November 29, 2019, 05:18:59 PM
Yes, but most governments are likely to create their own digital currency and back them with fiat currency. Let's forget the idea of them adopting the use of bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies. These governments always want to control everything  and the last thing that would ever cross their minds to give people is financial freedom and transparency. Some countries have started making talks about adopting the use of digital countries.
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOTHING IS ABOVE BITCOIN on: November 29, 2019, 02:39:19 PM
It's such a great feeling when we get crypto enthusiasts share some supporting and motivating statements about bitcoin. This makes the community strong, we need more folks like these who believe in the technology and not folks who tumble down any time bitcoin prices plunges. No cryptocurrency can ever boast of having the success rate that bitcoin has seen over the past years.
554  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: November 29, 2019, 11:24:19 AM
Give them some time to refill the funds, based on my observation here, signature funds were refill within the day or maybe a bit more but it did not reach at least 1 week. Most campaigns are paid on a weekly basis and I think its not exciting to withdraw everyday as the post count limit were reduced to 5 daily.
I think it's high time the Yobit team made the withdrawals weekly as this would go a long way to reduce the transaction fees that they have to incur on every tiny bit of transaction. Just imagine over 200 participants making all these little withdrawals almost every minute you can guess as well the accumulated transaction fee all this would amount to. I think we can all save ourselves a few bucks to go another day or two if withdrawals are done at the end of every week and not every time the account balance are updated with funds per post.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter CEO Sees Big Future for Bitcoin in Africa on: November 29, 2019, 07:16:09 AM
Africa is one of the countries that is supplied with almost every natural resources that can help improve the growth of development of every country but it's so sad to see that they have fallen so deep when it comes to development and this is all due to corruption. Cryptocurrencies would definitely help such countries in there so that government officials don't steal and misuse the funds of the state for their own personal gains.
556  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Upbit hacked on: November 29, 2019, 06:48:12 AM
It's yet another sad event that has occured in the crypto industry which is further going to frustrate prices of currencies for a while. I don't know why they had so much money on their hot wallet in the first place. I think other exchanges need to learn something from this series of hack that occurs in this space.
Does anybody knows whether the management team of Upbit has announced if they are going to refund users of their funds?
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is impossible to proof that somebody is Satoshi. on: November 28, 2019, 04:28:02 PM
That's not true mate @OP. Signing a message through the bitcoin address that contains the genesis block is the surest way that anybody can prove the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. In addition to this, i believe some members like Theymos, Sirius and other staff members can help prove this by making sure this individual is able to communicate with them through emails and other media that they used when Satoshi was operating on this forum.
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new Faketoshi strikes again! on: November 26, 2019, 11:07:49 PM
It's so funny when people are trying to claim the glory and honour that should solely go to Satoshi Nakamot for his creative invention. These guys could do themselves a good favour and bring up something new or better still a solution that would help promote the adoption of bitcoin as a mode of payment more feasible other than wasting their time to defend an identity they have no knowledge about.
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: November 26, 2019, 10:45:14 PM
I am just wondering would it be possible in the future for the world to run solely on cryptocurrency? Considering that right now there are many people from different walks of life who are using cryptocurrencies in their day to day life. I think right now one of the main limiting factors for world-wide cryptocurrency usage is the world’s governments who make restrictions on cryptocurrency usage. Moreover, I also think another factor in limiting cryptocurrency usage is a lot of people’s lack of understanding of cryptocurrencies as it is a rather new technology to most people.
That would be absolutely possible as most countries even if allows cryptocurrencies in their country would prefer users to their own cryptocurrency coin other than using bitcoin, ethereum, dash, litecoin,
I think that we can solve most of these problems by educating people about cryptocurrencies and debunking what the mainstream media have done to slander cryptocurrencies.
I honestly think that if these issues a solved then we will probably have more people to use cryptocurrencies worldwide.
That's so true mate, educating people about cryptocurrencies would help alleviate the defamation that the media have labelled against crypto. Users would get to understand that cryptocurrencies are not all about scams.

560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A whale transfers $310 millions worth bitcoins for a ridiculously low fee!!! on: November 25, 2019, 12:12:51 PM
Well how amazing it is to have such a huge amount of transfer being done for a fee less than a dollar! I wish the governments could see this truth and open up to the adoption of cryptocurrencies. But no the government would rather maintain the fiat currency so that they can keep looting us of such huge amount of fees. I don't even want to imagine the fees that would have been incurred if this transaction was made in my country.
