601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Will You Do To Recover Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2019, 07:13:06 PM
In 2010, you came across a site that was giving away bitcoins. The site said it was free money so you signed up. You were logging in to figure out how it was money but couldn't. The last time you logged in you had more than 100 bitcoins. Later you forgot about the site until 2017 when a ponzi was advertising Bitcoin. Bitcoin? The name rang a bell and you stated hearing stories. You remembered you must have many bitcoins  somewhere but you can't even remember the name of the site. How would you recover your BTC?
I have also had this same fears sometime back and hence i decided to write out all my account usernames, emails and their respective passwords. I have backed this up in several other books as well and stored them somewhere very safe. You have to go the length and breadth just to keep those funds. I know so many people are cursing their stars as to the number of bitcoins they don't have private keys to.
602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only 6.2 percent of American citizens own Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2019, 06:53:54 PM
According to this article , only 6.2% of a highly developed country like the US of America own Bitcoin , which seems unreasonable among the crypto community who rely on the Americans for Bitcoin to be mass adopted quite fast around the world. Here is the link of the news:
 https://www.tronweekly.com/bitcoin-advisory-founder-shares-research-that-shows-6-2-percent-of-american-citizens-own-bitcoin/
America is a great nation and with a great number of population so having 6.2% of the entire nation using bitcoin is quite a large amount mate. Also considering all he harsh regulation policies that surround cryptocurrencies and the fact that users can get charged high fees if they don't comply with the rules. It's a step in the right direction, let's hope this number increases with time now that we have seen China softening up on cryptocurrencies.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is twitter a good source of info? on: November 12, 2019, 03:47:58 PM
Actually, twitter is a place where you get to hear the latest information out there in the crypto industry but it's best to always certify the authenticity of any information out there even if it's from Cointelegraph, Coindesk or any of the credible crypto press website. One thing that you have to do is to always do your own research anytime you see a publication on the internet. Don't follow it blindly and neither jump into conclusions based on that.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your EOS price prediction? on: November 12, 2019, 01:57:01 PM
If all these predictions are based on absolutely no further development from the team then all these predictions are just based on a normal pump and dump scheme controlled by Bitcoin. So how about you rather consider the price prediction of EOS linked to Bitcoin because if there is a rise in bitcoin potential altcoins like EOS will definitely feel its impact. One feature that i think EOS can really work on is to improve their Dapp based network to allow other upcoming projects to launch on them.
Currently, Tron and Ethereum is taking over the seen.
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FINALLY- we can now exchange coins between different blockchains on: November 11, 2019, 05:06:39 PM
First of all, we have a couple of such solutions already operating in the crypto industry. Take for instance infinito wallet, Atomic swap mobile wallet, blockchain wallet etc. only to mention but a few. I have been using all these application and the only little hitch i can say is they delayed time within which transactions are completed especially on blockchain application. if you really keep to making transactions within few seconds i believe many crypto enthusiasts would find your solution very useful.
606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Looking to Spend $2 Billion on Blockchain by 2023 on: November 11, 2019, 04:06:13 PM
it's such a great relief to see the Chinese country finally adopting the blockchain technology with such a huge investment. I think the government of Chinese has now realized the huge impact and economic growth that blockchain technology can offer to them hence the reason for spending such a huge amount of money on this initiative.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose which altcoin will you buy? on: November 11, 2019, 02:58:28 PM
Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that i buy without giving much thoughts about it because of its huge potential. However with altcoins you got to be very careful or else you will definitely end up with shit coins. Look at the following factors at least when buying into any altcoin but don't limit yourself to these.
1. The experience of the team members and whether they have already worked with other companies before.
2. Do they have  a working product or a demo one at the moment.
3. The use case of the project. Is it something which has a real world connection which blockchain solution would be a great help to?
4. Does the team have a good marketing plan because nobody will know about a product until it's marketed out there.

With a good and potential coin i would say go in for TEM, it's quite young and i think its future is going to be great.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Withdraw your funds from the top 10 Exchange now !!! on: November 10, 2019, 07:54:10 PM
this is a warning !!!
Top 10 big exchanges is the next target hackers !!!
good luck, and be careful Smiley

Stop this fud will you, why make all these claims without any evidence. This can be very detrimental to some of these exchanges especially the big ones out there. Next time make your research carefully and don't base your arguement's on here says because this can kill a project. Crypto is too volatile and unstable that rumours like these can cause a great loss.
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEO of Twitter Holds a Bitcoin Meetup! on: November 10, 2019, 05:40:07 PM
He said it before that he holds bitcoin and it's the only crypto that he holds.

Jack Dorsey says the ‘only’ cryptocurrency he owns is bitcoin

And his other company, Square also into bitcoin. Those who bought there are now in profit.

Bitcoin Buyers for Square's Cash app Doubled in Q3 2019

He's really into bitcoin and doing the best that he can, yes adoption is imminent and he's contributing on it.

Oh really, that's great to hear. At least we have two major CEOs of social media companies all supporting the invention of cryptocurrencies and its adoption. Zuckerberg on the other hand wants to steer the wheels of cryptocurrencies but got blocked by SEC. Let's hope and see if Jack of Twitter can help in the adoption of cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin without being too greedy to create his own.
610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quick Noob Question about Traders on: November 10, 2019, 04:43:48 PM
I have 1.8 btc in total from two different trading sites. Its stored there. On somedays the websites work and is fully operational. hustrade.com and waxcoins.com

Does it have to do with server?

I know I might be answerings this question for myself, but it never hurts to ask.
How about you do some quick routine yourself and get to know the crust of the problem yourself:

1. Firstly, If they have a community like other exchanges like Binance, has other users reported
2. Secondly, have you written to their support and what was their reply?
3. Finally, dude...get your money out of that exchange after each day's trade. It only take some few dollars (less than $3) to send it over there again to trade so why go through this headache of having to think all day about the safety of your funds when you could have kept it safely on your wallet.
611  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Could Make Bitcoin Drop To $5? on: November 10, 2019, 10:15:28 AM
I was just wondering if it is possible. What event or series of events could crash the price of Bitcoin to $5? What will you do if that happens?
This would be very difficult to occur but one thing that can really crash bitcoin in seconds is if Satoshi Nakamoto moves any of his genesis coins and he decides to see it on any exchange. This would definitely create fear and panic among crypto enthusiasts as they may be thinking the bitcoin network might not be safe any more.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Makes a Successful Crypto on: November 09, 2019, 06:19:18 PM
I think we can also consider the following as part of the factors that can help make any crypto related project very successful.
1. A good token economics that is going to be used in the ecosystem
2. A working product or platform which is going to serve as a drive to ensure that the token is being used.
3. Having a team of good influencers who can help promote the project and also its adoption to the available community.

I believe if these are also put in place with any other project it would help bring real value to the project.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Years Bitcoin (Honor for satoshi nakamoto) on: November 09, 2019, 03:16:16 PM
Satoshi shall forever be remembered by the entire crypto community for the invention of the blockchain technology. Through this technology the world can now boast of total financial freedom and privacy. Many industries are adopting the blockchain technology in their operations and they are reaping off its immense benefits of reducing cost of transactions.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will POS lead to Ethereum's centralization (like EOS)? Why? Why not? on: November 09, 2019, 09:15:28 AM
See above Cheesy
Well i don't think Ethereum's concept of proof of stake would make it a centralized network. By running a PoS protocol all that miners need to do is to get the required amount of collateral number of ETH needed to be a masternode. I think this is equally fair and i am sure staking would also be enabled so that other smaller miners can also join.

Ethereum's switch to PoS rather makes it a more decentralzed ecosystem.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Business ideas with 60 Bitcoin? What would you do? on: November 09, 2019, 05:03:31 AM
60 BTC is quite a huge amount of money to invest into crpytocurrencies as an individual but not enough to run a project and sustain it unless you plan on conducting an ICO or IEO in the near future. I would rather take a quarter of the amount of bitcoin and do day trading with it whiles investing into some solid crypto projects on the long term basis.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: there are still many who invest in cryptocurrency? on: November 09, 2019, 04:16:51 AM
as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?
2017 was definitely the boom of the ICO market year and also the year within which most people got scammed with shit projects, don't always forget the latter too. Investors these days are now looking for projects with good team member and also experience and on top of it all, already developed a product into this industry even before the solicit funds to accomplish a much larger dream. For instance the team of Somnium Space are doing a wonderful job with their project and they have the full support of their community members. Their Initial Land Offering is going on pretty well.
Check more about somnium over here: https://somniumspace.com
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it Possible Stellar Lumens/XLM Reach $100 on: November 08, 2019, 05:02:35 PM
I think it's not possible soon but yes Stellar will touch $100 in very short time. It's Very potential coin and always limelinght on Media.

So I Just ask Can stellar lumens reach $100 ?
In as much as this is a wild guess this is the crypto industry where we have seen cryptocurrencies that were worth nothing have value now. However i would not like to think that all these are just based on guesses but rather the Stellar foundation has some sort of development coming up because i don't really get any real information from the source link.

If it's about just hype they can forget it
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How BIG will the crypto market be if China legit cryptos? on: November 08, 2019, 10:38:50 AM
China is one of the biggest economies in the world now and  legalizing cryptocurrencies in there would definitely boos the entire crypto market. We could be doing over a trillion once China announces that, it will also soften the grounds for other blockchain projects to sprung up. This would definitely open up to more organizations and industries investing into the crypto industry.
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is irreversible: strength and weakness on: November 08, 2019, 05:22:39 AM
I remember when i once sent $150 worth of Bitcoin to a wrong address. How i wish  there could have been a button either cancel the transaction or even call it back lol. That's a set back of bitcoin for sure which we cannot do much about it unless we work with alternatives. That's why some sites allow you to save addresses so that anytime you are sending funds to yourself..you might already saved a genuine address other than having to generate a new one all together. This prevents issues of wrong transactions.

Regarding the situation with hacking, there is not much you can do but to protect yourself from them. Save your keys on an offline computer or better still get yourself a hardware wallet and that will be all.
620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Been Profitable for More Than 94% of its Existence on: November 07, 2019, 06:32:22 PM

We have all heard the warning, ‘past performance is not a guarantee of future results.’ However, this warning is hard to ignore when an asset like Bitcoin has generated profits across more than 94% of its lifetime.

This is exactly the case with Bitcoin (BTC), a cryptocurrency that is a little more than a decade old with a history of shattering its previous all-time highest values.

Source link here

Bitcoin has surely done much more than most of the precious commodities on the international market especially Gold, Oil, Cocoa etc. Bitcoin has increased significantly for the past decade.

I still feel some regrets though. Way back in 2010, somebody mentioned to me about Bitcoin and must invest some. I replied like "What the hell is Bitcoin?". I ignored that for so long until years later, well......you know how I feel.

I share your feelings mate..i was introduced to bitcoin in late 2010 and i was like i don't really believe that this technology can stand the test of time. It felt to me like some of those flash in the pan activities. It was until 2017 that i heard so much rumours about it that i decided to make enough research about it again. At least i am glad i am now part of it even before the global adoption of Bitcoin.
