381  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: September 02, 2013, 12:15:37 PM
I filed a claim for my wallet last April, but I did not anticipate having to file the same claim twice and subsequently have misplaced my wallet address

That's a misrepresentation of the claim process. You did not have to file the claim twice.
All you had to do is confirm that the amount we had on records for your claim matched the amount you expected.
A necessary step for us to clear our liability given the particular design of instawallet.
Your wallet key would have allowed you to confirm your payout in one click.
It was never a good idea to "misplace" an instawallet wallet key before the wallet balance was spent.
It is a still a good idea to keep the instawallet key until the balance is refunded.

however I still have the confirmation numbers provided by your claim form.

Why don't you send the numbers to me and Arsy via PM ?

UPDATE

The sixth payout batch was sent today. Tx ID is

'6342536a1b44ebbc08126631b1a999e08ee7685ad38502d40edbe2ff7e355865'.

Next payout date is Monday, September 16.
383  Local / Échanges / Re: Bitcoin-Central, discussion, questions-réponses on: August 31, 2013, 09:03:48 AM

384  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: August 31, 2013, 08:54:11 AM
iam disappointed about the claim process.
i received my reference number in may, but did not received any btc until now.  Angry
I understand your disapointment if you are the rightful owner but you could give us credit for setting up a claim process at our own cost.

If your claim was not paid there must be a reason and your claim status tells you about it:
- multiple claims for the same wallet with different payout addresses
- large amount balance that requires identification before payout.
etc

Think about helping us determine that you are the rightful owner and provide at least your claim number, balance and claim status.

387  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any technical details on how Instawallet was hacked? on: August 29, 2013, 03:46:40 PM
I 've heard on the street that it was a scam related to drugproblems and gamblingdebts.
On of their own people 'hacked' the place and took 35000btc. Huh

Woww

It's strange to me that one of the biggest scams in btc recently seems already been forgotten.
Well, I don't forget when someone steals my money!

Woow again.
If it's that bad, there is not point in even trying to contact them then.
They probably run off to the Virgin Islands or Costa Rica with wife and children.
Evene a life sentence to Gitmo would be too lenient to them.

392  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: August 27, 2013, 04:36:07 PM
You did not pay out all rightful claims. At least one of mine is still pending.

When did you contact us (me or Arsy) about your "pending" claim ?
If you did not, I recommend you do, including you claim number.
No claim is "pending" without a reason.
You are not in a position to say whether a claim is rightful or not, except for your claims , if any.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper wallet questions on: August 27, 2013, 03:44:11 PM
It is difficult but still possible to remove the tamperevident stickers, read the privkey, and seal it again if you have physical access to the wallet (http://casascius.wordpress.com/2013/08/04/defcon-21-successful-compromise-of-the-hologram-reported/).
Just a reminder but I am sure you've already thought about it!

Yes I have read about it since I am selling casascius coins on microbitcoin.fr

Tamperevident stickers were never thought of as bulletproof in the first place.
Difficult is good enough as long as the physical coins are used as cold storage or collectors items or as a way to send coins to a newbie.
Collectors items can be tracked.

I never thouhgt physical coins would be used in my local fish market as medium of exchange.
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper wallet questions on: August 27, 2013, 12:13:40 PM

For those who are curious, that wallet design is from http://bitcoinpaperwallet.com -- and you can order properly-sized ziplock bags for geocaching etc. on the same site.

Great work: I just ordered some tamperevident stickers.
395  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: August 27, 2013, 10:51:22 AM

Oh, so revealing one fact by a customer authorizes you to reveal another fact publicly? So if I told publicly that there is "only one claim of 0.01Ƀ outstanding", I should expect you to disclose the paid claims of 10.000.000Ƀ? Makes sense.

Absolutely, if you are trolling this Forum to spread truncated information insinuating (like you do) "wrong doings", behind the comfort of your anonymity.
If anyone had a reasonable, documented claim for a wallet, the channel was open on instawallet.org and the payouts have been sent.
396  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: August 26, 2013, 02:53:09 PM
I agree with steelboy that Boussac should not loose his professionalism which he did in telling the world that steelboy has *****Ƀ.

Your reading of the thread might have been only partial, teacher:
here is the post written by steelboy on July 29 about his memory recovery and short lived happiness at receiving his payout from Instawallet:

Quote
My happiness at receiving my coins nearly made me forget about another wallet that I was talking with Davout about in IRC. I have sent a PM about it (the wallet with 232 if you remember Davout.)

So I should be dragged in the mud but with my hands tied in the back preferrably ?
If anyone starts throwing numbers on this open forum, one should expect the whole story will be told.

By the way, we set up a claim process allowing people to keep their claims private at our own costs.
I don't believe a 100% satisfaction rate would have been a realistic goal.
397  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: August 23, 2013, 02:53:16 PM
Come on Girls.  Take it off line.   He's got work to do and I still haven't received a pay out.

That's exactly my point. There is no response offline.  Sad
That's right steelboy: I have no concrete proof from you offline.
Please do not hijack the thread to deal with your particular case. A case that is highly "unusual" to say the least.
I will not respond to further allegations but I will respond to any proof that you provide. Offline as previously indicated.
If there is no proof you can safely conclude that your claim will not be accepted.

@BCB
What is your claim number and status ? (please PM me or Arsy).
398  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: August 21, 2013, 02:01:54 PM
Asking me for more cryptographic proof now is a blatantly obvious way of trying to make it impossible for me to get what is rightfully mine.
I am not asking for "more" proof since I have received none whatsoever. I am asking for A proof.

if you did not send any proof, that may be beause it does not exist, in which case it is only responsible to safeguard the interest of the company against an unjustified demand.

The balance of your claim is zero.

I am sorry if someone said they have a proof you did not empty the wallet, I have yet to see the proof.
I am asking for a proof like a signed message with a signature using the private key of one of the funding addresses.
Then, as a second step, we will search for a proof of you not empying the wallet.
Please use contact@paymium.com when sending evidence.
Due to a lack of resources, I will not respond to anymore of your numerous messages (including txt messages on my cell phone) until I receive such evidence.
399  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: August 20, 2013, 10:35:00 PM
UPDATE

The fifth payout batch was sent today. Tx ID is

'ab6bcf2f9cb4019fae464a9c5adc741403deb163faae93c12272979ea99dca6a'.

Next payout date is Friday, August 30.

Hi Pierre

Just wondered how you can post that on here without responding to the previous messages and questions aimed at you?

I (and many others) have asked a direct question to you and your team, to not answer it and just ignore it is a little rude.  Undecided

Hi James,
I am not sure if this conversation belongs to an open Fourm or PM but since your are here, I'll go for it, no problem.
That's right, it was rude of me to think about taking a few days off without responding to the dozens of messages I receive on this Forum.
It's not even vacation, since I am not paid to do what I do for Instawallet.
Now I recall that you questionned me about a claim for a wallet showing a near zero balance: no , I will not respond personnally to this type of inquiry, even if that means being rude.
When you claimed several wallets showing a significant, positive balance, I recall sending you the corresponding payouts.
You wrote that you did not withdraw the money: I may believe you because you sound like an honest person but I have no proof of that.
I have no proof either that you deposited the money.
If you can supply cryptographic evidence of the transactions at boussac.75011@gmail.com I will take a serious look at it when I get to it (i.e be patient).

EDIT: removed reference to amount of previous payouts to Steelboy at the request of Steelboy
