When it was said that an announcement was going to be made, I didn't realize that you were getting ready to release the code. Does this mean that this portion of the code is fully functional and can be implemented right now? If so, that is pretty cool and I hope that someone in BitShares can make use of this. As for Peerplays, I'm filing this under 'A Priori' news but am looking forward to your synopsis, CryptoPrometheus...: )

no exchange to trade yet? It's on FreedomLedger. That has been stated multiple times throughout the thread. That said, I am unsure why anyone would want to trade this. I bought with the understanding that this was a long term hold. Not sure how many others feel the same but the holders list has increased since the end of crowdsale... I don't really want this on any other exchange until after testnet. Even then, I think that it should be listed at the impetus of others. I want to hold long term and discuss moving possible dividends back into development if it comes to that (I hope it does). Edit - There is a peerplays forum on Steemit and Neil posted an awesome Intro...which makes me more excited for this project. I recommend checking it out.

Economy / Services / PeerPlays Logo Contest!

on: June 29, 2016, 08:45:09 AM

PeerPlays is a cryptocurrency project that will launch in the Fall of this year but to pass the time until then, they have decided to hold a Logo Design contest. It's pretty simple, the winner gets $1250 worth of Bitcoin (or 400 PeerPlays tokens). Logo Design Contest FOR PEERPLAYS GAMING PLATFORM Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to do a complete re-design of the Peerplays logo. We are looking for a radical, high-impact and revolutionary new logo that gamers around the world will never forget! Are you a skilled graphic artist? Do you love the video gaming industry? Would you like to have your design featured in a groundbreaking new technology platform? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you might have exactly the right stuff. Show off your talents by uploading your ideas using the box on this page. You can enter as often as you like, up to three times a day. If you are picked as the winner on July 15th, we will send you your choice of either 400 Peerplays tokens or $1,250 in Bitcoin!
http://www.peerplays.com/logo-contest.htmlEntering is Simple - Just follow the above link, design a logo, and then upload it! The winner will be contacted through their email and announced on a separate thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1462351.0 ). There has been a pretty low amount of participation thus far and I am hoping to get some talented artists to give this a go! Thanks and Good Luck!! You can enter 3 times a day, every day, until the end of the contest!!

How is the logo contest going? I have no skills so won't be participating but I am kind of interested in seeing what others come up with.
Would it be advantageous to open the contest up to communities outside of crypto? I was thinking of setting up a deviantart account and providing a link there if their mods allow it? Thoughts?
You can check and vote on the submissions here: http://www.peerplays.com/logo-contest.htmlThere are some good ones already. Found it. My adblocker was preventing them from loading when I checked earlier. I thought nothing was loading. I like the one in second place but am not really liking many of the others...no offense to the awesome contributors.

You guys keep humming your song, but all I have to if Bitshares wasn't garbage, it's value wouldn't just be a constantly decline tell yourself whatever you want to hear to make yourselves feel better about your investment It's funny you guys even mention cryptofresh, some no name Ruby developer made a block explorer better then / before the official team even made one that's worth using... what a joke. Man, bishares didnt run away with peoples money wasnt hacked even, this in 3 years.....what survives in crypto soace 3 years n remains strong like a rock? Almost none.... Price is not there? Right, it happens in all market, the good thing its a bargain right now in crypto space for the size, reputation, tech, expertise, experience, community, network effect, volume, china users Just my 2bts I actually bought some Bitshares the other day but decided to sell them off once I read more into the Bitshares community. I'm not too sure who's really leading the Bitshares platform at the moment and i'm not exactly comfortable with that. Perhaps I did not do that much research into it and you can assist with clarifying? Just feels at the moment, it's just the Bitshares community holding it up. Whereas, in other Cryptos, e.g ETH has Vitalik or the ETH Foundation, SIA has Taek, etc. If you can assist me with identifying who are the core members of Bitshares, that would be great. Am trying to find the roadmap for it as well but can't really seem to locate any. It's still the fastest and cheapest blockchain around... https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/48spvc/bitshares_now_offers_the_cheapest_transfers_on/If you have new data to counter that, I would be interested to read it.

Peerplays team were smart to select graphene.
Given the negative connotations around Bitshares I'm not sure how true that is... and where do you see "negative coonotations"? tech is great and stable since launch... If it's as great as you say it is, why does the price not reflect it? I've had my own experiences with Bitshares and personally I think it's not user friendly at all. It's no wonder there's a lack of support for it. Didn't Dan practically abandon Bitshares as well? So... contrary to what the Bitshares believers say, this is not what a good investment looks like folks It doesn't matter what the price of BitShares is. Peerplays is using Graphene and the ecosystem, which was developed by BitShares. Peerplays will be a standalone app, if I interpret correctly, that interacts with it and potentially will interact with Ethereum once a side chain is created (though The DAO won't be funding it since it is dissolving). The tech is the most usable for what Peerplays is aiming for.

Hi, devs. Can you perhaps make a comparisson between Peerplays and BreakoutCoin and let us know what is similar and what is different?
I was trying to figure that out a few days ago and asked in their thread. Pages 18 and 19 have two posts affirming that they are a centralized poker project that isn't hosted on a blockchain - it's centralized. The relevance of that per the success of either project is not something that I really know. I have been thinking about the DAO circus though. It was essentially a bug in the smart contract that allowed this to happen (on a side note, I think it sucks that a DAO failure could end up bringing Ethereum down with it). Vitalik tweeted a link to this reddit thread eight hours ago, https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/4omdlf/to_kickstart_the_building_safer_smart_contracts/. It is essentially a look at failed smart contract projects and I thought that it might be relevant for the devs here, since they are going to be using smart contracts and one of the projects was an ETH casino. At the very least, it could provide an opportunity to collaborate with others in the field and provide for stronger collaboration and code in the future...or I could just be naive. Granted, this is highlighting ETH code and not Graphene/Bitshares but...
