If everyone considers when IconicExpert promised his Wall Street friends to Blackcoin that might have looked good but what is Wall Street famous for? Price manipulation.
He got his friends together to insure huge profit from an unregulated market. Not as much profit in oil futures I guess.

I was wondering the same. NRS has 5 million coins which is less than 7.5 million. So, while that is still rare, it isn't as rare as others. I'm just confused as the hype came from no where. |

looking at the movements of different coins on different exchanges, like MRO, QCN, XC, I wonder why NRS is still underestimated. In my opinion it should be at least 0.01 BTC by now (and that is still under the real value compared to other coins). So still a lot of room for growth!!
I tend to agree with the above poster that a lot of people are going with the anon feature hype. That being said, this coin will show it's true form when some of the future projects get announced. I think that I really got excited when I read that the devs were already thinking six months ahead. That's pretty epic when you consider the huge majority of coins/shares in the crypto world. I can't wait to see what they have planned and wish I had gotten in earlier. |

We received news from the Zerocoin Team itself that they have abandoned the zerocoin project. Zerocoin is now a dead project. We had started implementing their library to Libertycoin hoping to implement a fully functional and stable version when they released more updates. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do now. We will start removing the zerocoin library that we added to the code, and we will consult with our developer if there are other anonymizers we can deploy in the future. For the time being we will realease an update removing zerocoin from our code, and Libertycoin will remain as a great X11 100% proof of stake coin with 16.5 Million units.
I am thinking it is damage control for their coin. I don't believe that Zerocoin is a dead project and I do not believe that he talked with Ian from Zerocoin...but the rest of the announcement kind of depends on that statement to try and rally confidence back into their coin. So...Meh. |

Here is the scoop, as most of you know the wallet is being worked on by Mullick of Cryptsy, which I am sure most of us that have spent time in the CryptoWorld will be able to identify easily.
Actually...we don't know that. We know someone has said that he is working on it. We also know that a deadline was missed and no one really showed up to explain. It seems not much is happening and that a coin that had some potential to at least make a splash is left fumbling around...Good show... |

At least NXT is on all the exchanges and I can be sure about consensus market value (no I am not a NXT advocate but respect them for letting the financial markets dictate their future) but Maidsafe should "float" on major exchanges also imho.
Maidsafe is a proxy coin...meaning it is a placeholder until the Safe Network is live and then it will be exchanged 1:1 for Safecoin...which is used for transactions on the network... Maidsafe could be on other exchanges but none of them are set up to handle Smart Property yet...which is what Maidsafe is considered. So it is better to wait...in my opinion for the Safe Network. |

I have invested with BTC, I'm stupid.
I invested in BTC...and I don't consider myself stupid. Stupid is trying to play the day trade game without going through the motions and learning about it...using small increments first over a long period of time and doing the research necessary to understand all of the coins that one is placing money in...even if for just ten minutes. That game sucks. Research is more fun and when one does the research, one sees the reasons for the altcoins and why everyone is experimenting with different algorithms, different tactics...it's all about creating a better system. Yeah...money is the incentive, I won't deny that but research led me to MaidSafe and I like what they are doing and the fact that they want to help people. I invested in them with BTC...I will farm. If I see profit on my IPO investment then cool...most likely I will to some extent. But There are so many opportunities for doing awesome stuff with their platform that I might not care as much as I would have five years ago... |

The IPO clearly wasn't run correctly, we all know this. I personally believe that the Maidsafe team knew there were risks involved with their IPO strategy but overlooked them as small risks to what the benefits raised through the Mastercoin/Maid partnership. These risks clearly came to fruition having a much larger impact then they first thought. We have to remember the maidsafe team have also taken a big loss here.
Now being a BTC investor tbh I knew the risks to start with, Maidsafe were very open about the Mastercoin strategy before the safe but I did not worry myself with the complications of earning a few extra maidsafe coins. At the end of the day, like most investors I could probably imagine we're in this for the long haul. Its got nothing to do with a quick win, it is about supporting the Maidsafe project and hoping that it will pay off much MUCH further down the line. I couldn't give a crap about MSC investors dumping coins below IPO value, that's up to them hopefully they will be kicking themselves a couple of years from now when safecoins are floating at a healthy value.
At the end of the day BTC investors were promised 17,000 maid for 1 btc (+40% bonus) and thats what was delivered. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't get me wrong I still feel for those who lost out on the BTC > MSC > BTC but this sale was very unpredictable and as they say "the early bird gets the worm".
At the end of the day it's over with now, instead of bickering on here like little children lets all sit back, take a deep breath, hold onto our maidsafe coins and lets see how this really plays out in the long term. Finger pointing and jumping to conclusions mid game is a pointless waste of energy and oxygen. The starting pistol has fired. If your in the race just keep running.
And for those of your who didn't invest and are still complaining. Why? Are you that concerned for other forum members well-being or are you just seeking the attention?
