Unfortunately I have had my house stolen and with it my hard-drive containing my BTS backup.

All I have is the AccountNo(username) and Password I used to create my BTS account - Located on a master-backup.

Is it possible to redeem my PeerPlays on launch with only that information?

I think if you have access to the computer/browser that you were using then the password could be sufficient if you haven't cleaned cookies/history.

If that is the the computer/hard drive that was stolen then I have no idea what to tell you...: (

How did I never hear of this before now?

That is why its price is still so low. You are an early bird and should consider yourself lucky.

I've read but I don't know how to buy...

Fantasybit tokens are intended to be used in our Protoblock Apps, and have no investment value whatsoever.

So I am unsure about how to interpret this.

I would purchase tokens in the ICO in order to play Fantasy Football?

I can do that for free on many different sites...

doesn't giving your private key compromise your wallet?

No one is asking that anyone give out or post their private key.  That should be made very clear!

The requirement for sending BTC from a BTC wallet that you control the private key to is important.  For one, if you don't control it then someone else does.  If you send BTC from an exchange, then the exchange you sent from owns your Peerplays...because they have the private key to the wallet that you were using.  And often times, the address is just one of many inside of the wallet that they are using.  This means that there is no way to prove that you or someone else sent the BTC for Peerplays.

For two, and I am assuming here, but in order to claim the Peerplays bought in the crowdsale, you will just input your private key into the Peerplays Blockchain when it launches at the end of May.

Your private key is your proof and the method for claiming. There is no need to ever post it or give it to anyone! But you need it.  And you need to know how to find it and use it.  Per the advice I gave earlier, if you have questions, then utilize the support team of whatever wallet used/that was recommended. They understand the importance as well and are great resources.
1666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Peerplays - First Ever Blockchain-Based Gaming Platform on: February 27, 2017, 03:10:23 AM
I got excited  Cheesy and send  some mbtc from my blockchain wallet but for the life of me I don't know where to find the private key I guess I need to claim the tokens in May... Undecided  I hope I didn't mess something up. Their site recommended the blockchain wallet so there must be a way right?  Embarrassed

Blockchain wallet is fine.  I read a bit on your behalf as I have never dealt with a blockchain wallet.  The method for retrieving the private key seems kind of complicated at this point, at least from what I read.  There is plenty of time though and rather then go through a series of explanations that might just confuse you, I recommend contacting their support team and having them walk you through it...

What would be the best suitable wallet to pay from?
Not all allows to export private key, which will be needed to claim PPY tokens...
Thanks!

Hi I am a little lost with this. I have some of these on freedom ledger. Is it ok if I just leave them there or anything sopecial I need to do?

You're good.  They can live there until the launch of the Peerplays blockchain after which you can use the private key from Freedom ledger to claim the real tokens.

From a sardine ICO buyer, good to see some devs delivering on their promises.
BTW How can we have access to the new PeerPlays blockchain ?

To be honest, if you have been paying attention enough to assert the first sentence then you should already know the answer to your question.
1670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Peerplays - First Ever Blockchain-Based Gaming Platform on: February 03, 2017, 02:09:28 AM
For those who already own Peerplays tokens on Openledger, how long after the crowdfund are we going to have to wait to be able to get access to our Peerplays ?

I have no idea.  I would imagine directly after the crowd fund but an actual time frame will be based on the length of the crowdfund - which is unknown currently.

That information should be along somewhere before the 26th....so not long to wait.

Fibre also used a BTC dev and coded some cool things for COR (something about a swipe screen or something).

Same devs.  Different name.

Have u read ur own post? How would u be able to buy anything at a fixed rate when its 1 month away from the due date for the peer review? My company will be peer reviewing the platform before the start date of the ICO.

It's not that ridiculous.  I remember when people were impatient for Rep to get listed and they ended up selling the accounts that purchased the crowdsale.  If I were inclined (which I don't think I am), I could sell the information to my OpenLedger account and bam - the sale would be successful and off the books.  I likely don't have enough to make it worth his while though and I am kind of curious to see what happens here - the team looks pretty solid.

What is the name of your company, if I may ask?
1673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Peerplays - First Ever Blockchain-Based Gaming Platform on: January 15, 2017, 10:47:05 PM
Why this coin has 0 volume daily, but the market cap volume is more than 30k BTC?

If you are referencing coinmarketcap, then you are just reading it wrong.

That isn't marketcap volume - that is just marketcap in BTC as opposed to dollars.  The top line is USD, the second is BTC.  Both show 0 daily volume.

Anyone knows the ico price is?

Who gives a shite?  Max Keiser is being heralded as one of the reasons why this coin is relevant....What the fuck Polo?  Do you even care?
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ADL] Adel | Startup Incubator for Blockchain Innovation on: December 07, 2016, 09:46:52 AM
To be straight up, id just like to see the team together in the boardroom on a video conference with potential investors such as myself. Will you be able to get a q&a going in video anytime soon?

If the hype is early then there is time to maybe work something like out.  I second the request.

Thanks for your interest in Adel. Since the team is spread around the world, getting the team in one location would not be feasible. However, we are planning to have an open web seminar in February 2017, with selected team members, and then have a Q&A session afterwards. It's all about timing, and it's too early to have such an event, since we only launched Adel yesterday. We will be releasing details throughout the next three months, so many questions will be answered in our materials, while at the same time, more interested parties will learn of our activities. A lot of questions will be addressed in our white paper series, which will likely satisfy 80% of everyone's inquiries. The Adel Board is also planning to attend and speak at some blockchain events and interested parties are more than welcome to attend and meet them in person. Once we have these events confirmed, we'll announce them, right away.

I would like to ambiguously reply to ambiguity...not sure I care anymore.  Thanks!

I have to say, that game was little bit of a letdown. Not sure what i was excepting but that was not on the list.

A little bit? It was a complete failure. It was toted as gold and shows us as bronze.

I, for one, can appreciate movement in small directions given the type of coding being heralded.  Smart Contracts are obviously still a work in progress and the immediate gratification given to ETH investors is proving pretty small right now.

I like the slow and steady progress.  It's not like there is a real competitor for onblockchain gaming right now...

Keep the slow and steady progress!  It just needs to work in my opinion.

Appreciate the update but I am not sure that anyone really cares anymore.

I don't even remember if I kept the N99 back up information I had during my last update.

Where is wallet and exchange?

The wallet is on Graphene as is the exchange.  The Peerplays network is still in testnet.

Updates happen consistently on "Beyond Bitcoin" every Friday.  I believe the following link is the latest update posted to Steemit - https://steemit.com/beyondbitcoin/@officialfuzzy/e180-2016-11-07-beyond-bitcoin-peerplays-gridcoin-esteem-steembets-and-blockpay

Jonathon Bahai of Peerplays. Last week, they announced their new Peerplays website where anyone can join to see the latest updates on the Peerplays project. This week Jonathon is happy to announce that new additions have been made since the launch of the new site. He urges everyone to visit the site and see the new impovements and additions.

He also brings the following updates:

Peerplays vs eth markets now open on bitshares dex
Michael is unable to attend hangouts because he is traveling the world! He is currently working with partners in Hongkong and solidify some of the partnerships in the Eastern markets.
They are preparing for next round of ICO
There are No updates on testnet this week because many elements of game are ready to be pushed out, but not yet all of them. If testnet was updated this week, people would know the game but would be unable to play it. Maybe next week or the week after!
Peerplays currently has another group of devs working on the wallet for trading within the peerplays network. Look for more updates on this in the coming weeks.
Teeka Tiwari --- Fox Business, Daily Show, Nightline, CNBC, Palm Beach Newsletter---contacted regarding peerplays for their 180,000 subscribers. It was a 1 hour interview.
-This week is a record for unique owners holding peerplays!
-Data answers a question from faddat about the extensibility of Peerplays (being able to extend its functionalities out into other projects).
-Further discussion of how on and off-chain games differ in addition to their implementations as planned with peerplays.

Audio of above summary can be found here - https://soundcloud.com/beyond-bitcoin-hangouts

anybody else having problems to connect with rocketchat?

I did and thought it was just me.  I have since resolved the problem.  I changed OS's though and thought the issue was centered on that...
