1841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEMZ]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP THAT PAYS | Android App Released | on: January 30, 2015, 05:17:06 AM
Is datamining possible through this platform?

I'm not fudding.  I really want to know.  It's centralized.  And user centric.  Serious responses only, please.
1842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald's accepting Bitcoins (not really) on: January 30, 2015, 05:14:18 AM
Either way it seems to be a successful campaign by McDonalds. They get quite the buzz and at the same time they get an open survey on what payment systems people would like them to support.

Good advertising. Most likely the new payment method is exactly what they've shown. At random a customer has a chance to be charged with "a smile" instead of $x.xx. Maybe 1 in a 100?

The clues are the "at random" and the customer smiling. There ya go.

PS. Can't wait for devious employees starting to randomly charge things other than a smile....

If that is the case then wow.  I can't imagine disliking a scam (in this case, scam=bad food with intentional addictive additives to their food) restaurant more but I now know it is possible.
1843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald's accepting Bitcoins on: January 30, 2015, 03:29:22 AM
If this would be true, the BTC will rise above 1500 Smiley

Doubt it.  Their entire demographic has largely not heard of Bitcoin nor care about it yet.

On a side note, I wouldn't spend a single BTC on anything on their menu.  And I could probably be persuaded to spend BTC on some pretty useless stuff.
1844  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obamacare Fine to Be Owed by as Many as 6 Million Taxpayers on: January 30, 2015, 03:08:52 AM
I applaud the government compelling tax evasion.

Who the fuck is healthy & non-injury/accident prone and would need to spend $12,240 in an average year (if they paid cash rather than insurance copays for all aspects of medical care)?

What's funny is that while doing my taxes this year, I was asked if I had an offshore bank account.

True Story.

If anyone is not happy then just pack up and go Smiley
simple and easy

The thing is, this isn't a project that one can simply just not pay attention to, in my opinion.

I'll be reading and watching.  This might be a crypto I care not about financial gains more than I care about what happens.
1846  Other / Meta / Re: Mistake made on thread removal and dev banning on: January 30, 2015, 02:31:33 AM
Believe what you will.. but..

I say Mr Spread planned this so he could continue playing the victim and/or to create traffic on their copy n pasta'd forum.

Anything to keep from losing the few supporters still hanging on.

That's a pretty intense conspiracy theory regarding someone who seems to be quite busy with coding.
1847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HAM - HamRadioCoin - SHA 256 - Crypto on the radio! Official Thread on: January 30, 2015, 02:28:59 AM
I didn't realize that there was a crypto that sent over the radio waves.

This is cool.
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Safecoin maidsafecoin on: January 29, 2015, 10:36:35 PM
where do i get the software to earn Maidsafe?

I think that development is still in Testnet 2 (followed by Testnet 3 and then Beta).  I don't think that we will see any software until Beta, if then.
1849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: January 29, 2015, 10:34:34 PM
Mildly interesting that the dev here seems to be top notch but the IPO parameters seem pretty crazy.  I really want to see the meshnet situation though.
1850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: January 28, 2015, 06:51:55 AM
I'm now banned at bitcointalk

Your entire account is?  Or just from that thread like the rest of us?

Quote
Sorry Mr. Spread, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
Conducting a banned altcoin giveaway (14 days)

If this is true, then how did he manage to send what appears to be a PM ?

Who said the MN testing thread was deleted ? It is fully intact and there should be a mod's note/tag stating who/why it was locked.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=938222.0

It was deleted.  I couldn't access it earlier.

It seems it might have been recently reinstated as the last post is almost 12 hours ago.  If that is the case then I think that it should be closed (in deference to BTCtalk rules) by Mr Spread with a re-route to spreadcointalk.

Or any other solution that works for BTCtalk.  Really, been following threads all day on spreadcointalk and everything is positive thus far.  If the thread re-opening is a precursor or an adjunct to his reinstatement then cool beans.  But the way I see it, everything is moving along nicely over there.  Kind of interesting actually.
1851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: January 27, 2015, 07:19:02 AM
Can you reveal some information of skycoin team?

Not sure that is going to happen.

I'm more interested in the constant updates.  Keep them coming.  I have no problem waiting to invest.
1852  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many messages you have on: January 27, 2015, 12:36:45 AM
I delete every message I get as soon as I read (or when I no longer need it as a reference).
1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: January 27, 2015, 12:28:11 AM
Guys,

I'm a long term DRK investor and supporter, I have a single masternode and have been in DRK since it was around it's ATH. I've traded reasonably over that time to build up my holdings (an achievement in and of itself considering I bought in at around 0.02!) but it's not much more than the single masternode. That's okay though, and I'm grateful I've been able to do as much as I do, I've really enjoyed being involved and I love interacting with some very good people.

Now, I've taken a position here in SPR too (unfortunately before all this madness happened over the past few days so I most likely could have had four times as much Spread....that's crypto for you) and am looking forward to setting up a Spread masternode on my existing VPS. I think Mr Spread's take on how things could be done better is very interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing Spread make a positive impact.

And there are clearly many good people here too with lots of commitment, good ideas and positive sentiment. But unfortunately this thread is turning into a farce. I've just spent an hour or so catching up on the past 15 pages and it's been pretty mind numbing to say the least. We've had never ending posts by Hippie and that other idiot that constantly types in big red letters and can't put a space after a comma,to save himself. And now showjackoff has raised his ugly head in here. Good grief! Can we just move on and stop interacting so much with these people? The amount of tit-for-tat back and forth posting is terrible. I'd say 95% of the past 15 pages of posts have just been a constant FUD, then FUD rebuttal, then FUD rebuttal come-back, then FUD rebuttal come-back plus ask for details of proof, explanation, etc. It's appalling that so many are taking the bait and adding to the cacophony and continuation of shit-head noise.

I'm interested in what Spread's going to do to get adopted and how it will make inroads into areas that crypto may not currently touching i.e. what is Spread for and why is it important?

Can we talk about these concepts and just leave these idiots alone? I've responded once to Hippie and then bumped that response but I doubt it's had any effect. That's about as much as I'm willing to do because he's clearly committed to putting shit on everyone. We just shouldn't interact any further. The same with red,"can't,use, commas",text fool. And don't get started with ebolajackoff, it's just not worth it; he's had a history of extreme FUD and aggression in the DRK thread over many months and he's an untrustworthy individual.

Well said.
1854  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mass surveillance is fundamental threat to human rights, says European report on: January 26, 2015, 11:48:56 PM
It's going to be fine.

Omniscient surveillance will become ubiquitous and the people who don't like it will help contribute to the American's Prison Industrial Complex which will in turn provide a larger pool of cheap labor that will drive the price of business down - increasing profits for CEO's and investors while making moot the debate regarding unions and minimum wage (because criminals don't get to have a say).

I'm not sure whats not to look forward to here.
1855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are everybody buying FlappyCions? on: January 26, 2015, 09:10:10 PM
I'll take "Idiot with sockpuppets galore is trying to shill a random shitcoin to dump on morons who would believe the ruse" for $2000, Alex.

Ding, ding, ding.
1856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: January 26, 2015, 09:07:41 PM
Long live $100 Spreadcoin!  Grin
I'd laugh my ass off right now if some Whale came by seen this and was like "FUCK THIS" and dumped like 20 BTC into SpreadCoin and the price SKYROCKETED and all the panic sellers would just shit themselves thinking "Why the FUCK did I sell those coins for so cheap?" LOL That would be totally classic if that was to happen lol

We shouldn't be relying on whales necessarily.  Mr Spread's coding is what would be 'classic' if he rocks it and provides what many here think he is capable of.

Coffee.

Might have to try that avocado juice.  Didn't know that was a thing.

1859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinDark (BTCD)--Teleport/Telepathy Privacy Tech--SuperNET Core Coin on: January 26, 2015, 08:58:58 PM
interesting stuff. I'm new to BTCD so a little unclear on what the chat is about, but it seems like they're talking about sending BTCD and having it automatically exchanged for NXT or something? Built in exchange functionality I suppose?

Either way, it sounds fairly exciting.  I'll be looking forward to what arises.
1860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storjcoin X (SJCX) - A Coin for Decentralized Cloud Storage on: January 26, 2015, 08:51:09 PM
this coin is great....I love the idea. I am surprised more people haven't caught on to this coin yet....?

They have.  Right now there is low volume due to lack of major exchanges.  But this coin is definitely on a lot of people's radar.
