Illegal. We would be purchasing the unit off YOU. If your supplier is a scam, that's not our responsibility. I would be suing YOU, your company and anyone else involved.

Again, unfortunately there is nothing we can do if the asic is indeed a scam. We are simply providing a proxy service to order the unit in your name, receive it, and process/send the unit to your location. But you do bring up a good point; we will have our lawyer draw up a contract of sale stating liabilities on each side (seller, buyer) for every order to sign and return.

JFYI it is very hard (and sometimes impossible) to export mining hardware from Russia via DHL and other courier services.
I was in real trouble trying to send Icarus boards to China for trade-in.

What did you list it as on the export forms and did you include the customs classification code?

It can be tedious but with some wax to grease the skids and extremely accurate documentation it can be done. We have fall back plans in the event that we cannot ship them out via a carrier; or have significant problems in doing so.

905  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Open Source FPGA Bitcoin Miner (Last Update: April 14th, 2013) on: June 02, 2013, 05:42:45 AM
Can you please point me to the hashing code that you used? I want to program my 7K325  on KC705 board with that code and check its performance. Thanks

It was the OrphanGland stratix IV code ported over to the K7. We were planning on making an FPGA device but the power utilization vs hash vs cost figures weren't as close to the avalon figures as we had hoped.

Is that code the same on fpgaminer's github project or is there another link? Any link would be great. Thanks!

https://github.com/progranism/Open-Source-FPGA-Bitcoin-Miner/tree/master/projects/VHDL_StratixIV_OrphanedGland

The port was pretty basic it was just to get it to compile and display correct timings during analysis.

Just as a cursory reader of this thread it might help if someone posted a picture of the before and after job of what the fuse looks like when it is cut.  Or at least a photo with a very clear arrow pointing to whichever fuse is the culprit.

Is this "fuse" thing specific to Batch 2 units? I've never seen anyone discussing it before Batch 2 started shipping, now it's suddenly a big deal...

It's specific to the v1.5 control module. From what I understand they've already fixed all new batch 2 units shipping out. So if you receive a unit on or after May 29-June 1 it probably already has the fuse removed.

You can make refund ypur bitcoins but it will be processed during 30 days

Спасибо.

I offer intermediary services for English-speaking users.

Quote
They provide a guarantee. To do this, there are 2 options (You can only select one):

1) You click on a link, letter arrives at your mail, you click on a link from a letter, you choose the number of pieces and pay the exact amount of Bitcoins. You can request a refund Bitcoins. Regardless of the exchange rate, this is exactly the number of Bitcoins you pay. BUT! This amount is always kept with them! (the risk of being hacked or something like that)

2) You click on a link, then buy them  Bitcoins (these methods: wmr or wmz or qiwi or yad, bank transfer becomes available on Monday) paste your empty (no history) BTC-wallet in which they are enrolled paid Bitcoins to this address. Then send them a letter explaining that you want to spend these Bitcoins to pay Bitfuri and precise method by which you paid. These Bitcoins are stored in your wallet as collateral. When the devices are made, you send them the exact amount from the purse. And getting devices.
Point 2

Returns will not be necessary. Bitcoins have in your wallet.

Not interested in going with a 3rd party. I may order more units and come pick them up, or not. Right now I was just wanting to make sure i can get the 17.0751 btc back that I had paid for the unit :/.

Предзаказ Bitfury ASIC

918  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: May 31, 2013, 05:11:23 PM
I finally got altium viewer installed and looked at the board designs. Removing J1 would remove all power to the USB. But you would need to power the tp-link by some other means

You are reading it wrong Smiley F1 powers USB-A1, nothing is connected there. The tp-link is connected to USB-B1.

First time reading one of these things, I'm going blind! What a horribly tedious job designing this stuff must be.

At least it's an easy fix for anyone who's cloning the avalon design. Should just be able to delete the one pathway that leads back to the usb-hub from the usb-a1, no?

919  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: May 31, 2013, 04:56:29 PM
Disabling wifi was always a good idea.

Hard line is far more reliable in general, rather than suffer a wifi drop at a bad moment (submitting a difficulty 64 hash).  It also uses less memory.

I wasn't using it, it just wasn't disabled.

Bump senseless's question.

If F1 is the power line to USB-A1... if nothing is plugged into USB-A1, how is this causing too much power to be drawn from the control board?  Perhaps that is why Bitsyncom said "this is fine"?

I finally got altium viewer installed and looked at the board designs. The fuse definitely needs to be removed.

I thought maybe you could just remove the J1 jumper, but it looks like the usb-hub chip will still be overvolted unless the fuse is removed.

I have a question regarding fpga mining on the 7K325T FPGA. Is there a project / bitstream which can mine at or greater than 1GH/s on this FPGA?

I was able to achieve 1Gh/s (5 cores @ 200mhz w/ +0.1 timing) but not using fpgaminer's code and the code wasn't complete (didnt actually hash, comm wasn't migrated), but yes it is possible. I was able to achieve 450Mh/s on the A7 200.

It should be possible to get 1.2Gh/s out of the K7 and probably around 600 with the A7 (If you give it a little bit of help on the fit.)
