361  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Giveaway scammed me for 1.67 btc on: October 16, 2013, 07:23:44 PM
The second one is him agreeing to sent priority with tracking, but the postal lady was on "lunch brake"  so he left the package there to ship.

Yeah. That look totally legit.  Cheesy

Saying you left a package with a postal lady that was on lunch break = dead giveaway it was a scam. Theres two scenarios when it comes to mailing stuff at the post office. You either have a prepaid label on the package, which means you bought postage online or at a self-service kiosk, which means you would have access to the tracking number, OR, you bought postage in person at the post office, and transactions have to be completed in person and paid for in person.

You can't just leave a package sitting on the counter, say you want priority on it, then leave without paying for the postage.

Sorry, you were scammed.

I'm starting to think this guy feels he is entitled to 105% bitcoin PPS where in NO PLACE does it mention this in ANYWHERE on eligius website or forum threads.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 16, 2013, 06:10:55 PM
5% is 5%... Where does it say that's just for NMC? The top of eligius page says 105% pps, and doesn't specify NMC only on that.  in the end, it's not 5%. Dishonest or misleading at the very least.

It says it right here. You're just blind, or trolling.

364  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Giveaway scammed me for 1.67 btc on: October 16, 2013, 06:03:30 PM
Im still here? And i did send the cards. Just never got tracking #.
But until you get them leave this topic open

Why would you send cards without tracking number? That is incredibly stupid because it's bad for both parties.

The sender can say "I sent the cards, but sorry, no tracking number" when in actuality he never sent the cards.
OR
The receiver can say "I never got the cards, I demand a refund" when in actuality he already got the cards.

IMO, you're both fucked. Both people are scammers as far as I can tell, and it's all because you didn't do a tracking number.
365  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinabul order from August still non filled. No response from them. on: October 16, 2013, 05:52:27 PM
Instead of calling customer service at 2 AM when everyone is sleeping, why not leave them an email?
366  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer Alert: greendots on: October 16, 2013, 05:50:29 PM
You were scammed by greendots. There was no "my account got hacked". He's bullshitting you. Scammers will always make excuses.
367  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My USB erupter isn't working right. on: October 16, 2013, 04:32:51 AM
Have you tried not using a USB hub? Try direct plugging? Bad quality USB hubs can cause a number of errors.

369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Hack Your Radeon 79x0 GPU BIOS (any version) to Undervolt it on: October 14, 2013, 05:57:04 PM
Funny thing is, is that my HD7850's don't really use more power when overvolted, or use less when undervolted.
But, 100W is a huge win, such things mean ROI or no ROI.

Thanks for the guide, I thing many people will find this usefull.

Maybe your 7850 is voltage locked.
370  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] 5970 fans on: October 14, 2013, 05:40:08 PM
I have a FirstD FD9238U12D 12v 1.2AMP fan with newer AMD RADEON logo on the front, works fine in any reference radeon 5k/6k/7k series card with blower style fans. The fan itself works 100%, was bought from a chinese ebay seller for the purpose of replacing broken fans of my own, but never needed to use it. I plugged it into a 12v power supply, works fine.

It appears that one of the wires was pulled loose from the fan's PCB and resoldered back in place at one point, maybe due to haphazard storage, and a nick in the blue PWM wire's insulation, but I can cover that up with some black wire heat shrink.

Can do probably 12 bucks, or equivalent on in BTC according to preev.com, shipped via first class with tracking in USA. International will be on your dollar.

371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Hack Your Radeon 79x0 GPU BIOS (any version) to Undervolt it on: October 14, 2013, 03:17:57 PM
The benefit of doing this is what exactly?

I'm going to assume you have free power. The point of this is to reduce power consumption, so lower electric bills. It's also possible the resulting lower temperatures gives higher overclock headroom, even at lower volts.

374  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Self-Executing "Keyboard" USBs on: October 11, 2013, 06:58:32 PM
Regardless, "WinIogin.exe" is an attempt at making it look like the legitimate process "Winlogin.exe", which is usually what viruses do.
375  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: October 10, 2013, 02:50:43 PM

Haha I wanted to do the same with a few GPU's but I think the moisture will not do em good.
Is is quite an original idea tbh.

Don't worry, water only condense on an object which is colder than air, miners when running are warmer than the surroundings so there will not be condense. My net is to stop insect/flowers/snowflakes from being sucked into the intake of miners, it has large holes (2mm in diameter)

You'd be surprised how many stupid people on the forums think that water condenses on hot things. I'm glad you aren't one of the dumb ones. I ran computer equipment outside for over a year, had no problems except for heatpipes freezing in subzero temperatures.

WinIogin.exe... Sounds like a virus/scam. Avoid.

I wonder if that ebayer will get mad by expecting fully assembled USB miners and only gets 2 little itty bitty chips and doesn't know what to do with them. ebayers are, after all, very stupid.

let me know how it goes.
