20 mhz gives 54 mhash? I think your math is off...

IIRC, 6990s are clocked in a 880MHz per core stock. His miner is not configured well. He should be getting ~394 mhash per core at stock speeds. No idea for ltiecoins, probably he same # in khash. I don't mine scrypt.

stop using poclbm. use bfgminer or cgminer

IIRC, if you're going to use an older SDK, 2.1 and 2.5 were the best. If you need a miner software that requires 2.4, you'd be better off going with 2.5.

Very good news!!! After 48h without sleep, have memory working at 150 on my 7950 Vaporx's rig with auto starting with system will work for any 7xxx card!!! Now I go sleep but when i wake up i will release some some files and will write tutorial. I will be hard part of it due to my english. I some one want to give me some motivation here is my BTC adress 19tohyQ7WjRD6n47HxyoPAiPGtsddYszgU
-1. If I can't ask for bitcoin tips for information to get GPU rigs to run better, then neither can you.

Will ANY Ivy Bridge CPU activate the 7th slot on the Z77A-GD65? Thinking of using the G1610. It's listed at 10 watts less than the G550 I have in my Z77A-G45. Fun stuff I used the Celeron G1610 and I can use all 7 slots with it. Device manager and CGminer screenshots please.

My first open air proto type. 3.7mh\s mining ltc sweetness What kind of mobo is that It's the two mobos side by side kind! Idiocy and unhelpfulness aside, it appears to be a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 and a Biostar Hi-Fi A85W

C:\Users\Ssateneth>D:\pywallet\pywallet.py --web --port=8989 A mandatory option is missing
Usage: pywallet.py [options] (it spams all the options after)
what am i doing wrong?

There are no miners that can natively change voltage of 7xxx cards. ADL doesn't support it. You need to manually change voltage with trixx or afterburner. I heard one can hex edit and flash the BIOS of the card, but thats too involved for me.
If a card crashes or you reboot the system, voltage for that specific card will return to stock volts and you will need to set it again with your program of choice. No way around it.

This works on win-7... it is not a win-7 issue, it is a driver/hardware/mobo issue.
The middle 16x slot NEEDS a "card present" jumper.... The card will not supply "card present" on the 1x PCI-e. (Also the 1x above it MAY need it. They are the same slot.)
Population Slot 1 1x (card 1) Slot 2 16x/1x (card 2) slot 3 1x (card 3) Slot 4 1x (empty) [This disables if anything is in the 16x slot] slot 5 16x (card 4, with card-present jumper, HAS TO BE THE ONE YOU "SEE". {Plug your monitor into it}) slot 6 1x (card 5) slot 7 16x (card 6)
Also note, you NEED to disable the onboard video options in bios.
Also note... You NEED a monitor or dummy-plug in slot 5, card 3... or none of the cards will be able to operate. (Dummy plug if you want to remove the monitor.)
Only one dummy plug is needed for that card, if you don't have a monitor hooked-up. (RAM is irrelevant, unless you are doing scrypt for litecoins.) I use 2GB on one stick.
Device manager plus cgminer or bfgminer screenshot or it didnt happen.

I don't think it will massively improve things though. It will be the flagship part with availability, so the new $1k part. Aka same hash as current 7990s just lower power.
And lower power will allow for higher density.

From what I've read here it looks like the MSI Z77A-GD65 with an Ivy Bridge CPU is the way to go for 7 GPUs
Do you have proof? Or are you just guessing? Screenshot with device manager and cgminer please.

Hmmm. Damn. I'm getting only 360 after raising it to 950mhz and mem to 1200
Are you mining bitcoin? if so drop the memory down to 150 or 300. And dont use shitty SDK. 2.5 or 2.1 (if possible). You will gain much mhash.

I wouldn't recommend using an x1 riser anyways LOL.
Why not? What makes 16x risers so much better? IMO they're more difficult to plug in, causing unnecessary stress to the riser and video card and possibly break. I broke all my 16x risers because they were too difficult to plug in (No I didn't break them in a fit of rage. They broke because they required too much force. The wires that were soldered on would break off)

Can you try a different motherboard? I know this seems unreasonable, but "disappeared gpu's from device manager" is usually something the motherboard or BIOS is causing. I've only used MSI boards so I haven't had an issue like this yet.
"I am putting them into the 16x and 8x slot, so both are running at 8x and it is detected by gpu-z" I am confused by this part. You say that it is not detected in Device manager but it IS detected in GPU-Z. This sounds fishy. Do you happen to have an "Unknown Device" in device manager when this happens? Are the sensors for the second, "detected but not detected" card all weird, like 0MHz core but 3174MHz memory, strange readings like that?

never heard of "verification failed check hardware" error. try a miner that doesnt suck :p
|
|

I'd honestly feel more comfortable with $340 free shipping for the msi. Considering that the free game card that comes with it sells for $30 on ebay and this is used, i think this is a fair price.
