Can BTC go down to <$5k again now?

I dont think so. I dont believe can go below $10k ever again. Most likely it will also stay above $20k. Or at least if will somehow fall below $20k it will retrace back extremely fast. Impossible to buy unless you will have buy orders set at that price.

Privacy Coin Firo under 51% attack

If miners are not interested to mine it then 51% attacks will happen. Luckily 51 % attacks in Pow Are not so catastrophic as in PoS. When they happen in PoS is game over since the attacker have 51% forever and owns the network.

Will President Joe Biden be good for business?

It is the same. It does not matter. Crypto takes power from state and from politicians. All are against it. But on other hand crypo will reduce costs in economy, so good for any country economy.

Time will tell.  I'm just ecstatic that Trump is (almost) out of the White House.  I was afraid we'd be in for another four years of that BS.

Yup our physical health is most important. Keep listening his bullshit took everyone 5 years of their lives. Whoever would replace him fixes that.

Sorry but I believe Harden doesn't know how to play defense, he is just a pure scorer and a good passer, and I understand that because no one is really perfect, there's always a weakness, Harden is a good shooter outside and inside and he is very smart on getting the one who will guard him into foul trouble.
That's one of the misconceptions that Harden is unable to play defense.

Yup. I dont understand why so many say he dont play defence. He is one of better defenders. Ha always have a lot of steals. He looked not interested much at Huston this season but I just looked he had huge 4 steals in last game for Nets. His average this season is 1.2 what put him on rank.40. I do expect he will climb up.

407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 18, 2021, 01:39:32 PM
FUD about how no government will allow Monero and how all exchanges will delist it is so string that even legal opinion of 100 years law firm that made IPO for Amazon couldn't break it. I wonder if Comptroller of the currencies can.

https://www.occ.gov/news-issuances/news-releases/2021/nr-occ-2021-2a.pdf

National banks and Federal savings associations (collectively referred to as "banks") may use new technologies, including INVNs and related stablecoins, to perform bank-permissible functions

... cryptocurrencies can present risks under AML and countering the financing of terrorism ... because cryptocurrencies may be used by bad actors for the purposes of avoiding the financial system or engaging in other illicit activities. However, banks have significant experience with developing BSA/AML compliance programs to assure compliance

Governments will do anything to keep crypto on centralised exchanges where they have some influence on the exchange. If all crypto gets exchanged thought atomic swaps they lose allot of power.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are people still buying XRP? on: January 17, 2021, 02:08:20 PM
I got disinterested in XRP back in March 2020 when I learned about the 20 XRP wallet minimum. That was a deal breaker for me because it requires people to invest some money that they will never be able to access again. Also, I did not like how XRP is centralized. But now, with the giant lawsuit, why are people still buying?

They are buying it from same reason as they did a month ago. To sell it at higher price. Speculation. That is why XRP was made in first place. Well to make owners of Ripple rich and for others to speculate on its price. That is its sole usecase.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Price Speculation. $1,000 doable long term? on: January 17, 2021, 01:34:17 PM
The moment people will start using crypto more, opaque ledger cryptocurency prices will skyrocket. If you dont use crypto and you keep it on exchanges and just trade you dont need privacy. When you pay in a bar or when you go get a salary and pay salary to someone you will start cherishing what advantages you have when using opaque ledger crypto over transparent ledger crypto.

But if we talk about $1000 Monero. That can happen in a month or two. Monero BTC ATH is at 0.035. So at today's Bitcoin value that is $1200 already.  When people will start using crypto Monero will be way way higher than 0.035 btc.

$11 Billion is a lot of money. Not that many corporations are worth more money. In general things will go crazy this year in crypto. Will be interesting to see how will preform projects that are already valued extremely high.

LEA prooves that Monero is more used than BTC

https://www.europol.europa.eu/newsroom/news/darkmarket-worlds-largest-illegal-dark-web-marketplace-taken-down

DarkMarket in figures:
almost 500 000 users;
more than 2 400 sellers;
over 320 000 transactions;
more than 4 650 bitcoin and 12 800 monero transferred.

LOL yes since Bitcoin is few times more worth than Monero. $140 million of Bitcoin vs $2 million of Monero. I guess that was all time figures.

When I checked r/darknet subreddit I see many say it was not biggest darknet market. Also there was long time rumour that was lead by a woman that is now apparently proved false. Tongue
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 13, 2021, 09:02:30 PM
What’s everyone’s preferred methods for watching all these games? I see NBATV, league pass, Hulu, TNT, etc. all offering some sort of way to watch games, but it seems insane to pay for all of these different services. Anyone have any thoughts on the best way to watch the most NBA games without breaking the bank?

https://nbabite.com/

This is a new site for me, I haven't visit this site before, I hope this one would play the live streaming smoothly.

Thank you for sharing @Febo .. I'm using crackstream actually.

I watch them there all this season. There are 20+ different streams fro every game so if for some reason one goes down you just open other. But they are very stable. It is good to have some adblocker for some streams or you get annoyed when close all advert popups when you open the stream. Smiley
414  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: January 12, 2021, 11:17:07 PM
It will be painful 4 months for most countries since they will not be able to vaccinate enough people before start of Spring. In May lock downs will stop and economic recovery will finally start. It will take years that economy will get to January 2020 level.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 12, 2021, 10:19:36 PM
Transactions change a lot during day. I saw them over 2000/h. What matter is transaction in last 24h. Usually are least on Saturday and most from Tuesday until Friday. At the end of the month will probably again be a 10-20% increase of number of transactions.

Altocoin innovations

Bitcoin is boss!!

Monero is what people buying Bitcoin first thought Bitcoin is. Seems like not an innovation but a fix of a flaw. But every fix is also an innovation.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 10, 2021, 10:04:52 PM
It seems covid stroke Dallas Mavericks. Already last game 3 players were missing since they needed to quarantine.    Dorian Finney-Smith,    Josh Richardson and    Jallen Brunson. Now there is news also Maxi Kleber will have to quarantine. Together with Porzingis this are 3 first unit players and two that usually fist come from the bench. If it will continue like this, soon even Mavs 2-way players will have to show what they are made of.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex delisting XMR, ZEC and DASH on: January 10, 2021, 01:26:34 AM
I see a lot of funny posts.
Centralised exchange are not dangerous to any coins but only to its users. To minimise that risk you need to be sure they are not scammers before you deposit coins to them  and as fast as possible after you trade your coins to withdraw them to your wallet. Centralised exchanges are of same use to privacy coins and to surveillance coins. There is no difference.
One thing I totally agree. Privacy coins are not dependant on centralised or any exchanges. Since they have clear use case. Their use case is not just to be traded on exchanges but to be used in commerce.

Inflation coin emission rate over the years

Usually monetary inflation is calculated from today to a year from now. Not today or a year ago until today, but today and next 365 days. I am nor sure of BCH or BSV but Monero monetary inflation right now at 1.41% what is below Bitcoins when calculated properly. And it will stay that was for the next 7 years.  Also it is interesting to see how much BTC, BCH and BSV have different although I would expect are almost totally identical.

Hm. Also I just calculated for Bitcoin and I got 1.76%. How did you calculate monetary emission?   For bitcoin is 900*365/18595750.
