Yes this is crazy, a fantastic one-season transfer record. I see on social media if they have spent more than 600 million pounds when coupled with bonuses. Chelsea are smart enough, they sign players with a long enough time duration contract. This makes the annual expenses smaller and this they use to avoid FFP. With this action it looks like Chelsea will be a club under serious scrutiny from UEFA. Even with this incident, there will probably be new rules regarding transfers. If Chelsea still fail next year maybe Potter should go.

At this moment finacial fair play has to be enforced strictly or dismissed. This is getting ridiculous and has no point whatsoever.

Yeah, but it has been happening for years - PSG's Neymar deal being by far the worst in my opinion considering that Neymar's release clause wasn't even paid by PSG but by Qatar World Cup sponsorship deal.
City had huge sponsorship deals, we have seen clubs exchanging 10m players with 50m players, loans with huge initial fees being paid..

It is a joke for a while. I know most people don't want to hear it, but salary cap is a perfect solution for such cases. With it, clubs would not have 70 players on the books and 50 loan transfers per season.

It's hard to understand why Enzo was so expensive, since he was just average at the World Cup. It is indeed a huge deal for Enzo, and I hope that he repays the amount with an outstanding performance. The club has signed eight new players in this transfer window alone, but most won't get enough playing time and will end up being a waste of money. Signing so many young players was a huge gamble for Chelsea, but somehow they all didn't lived up to what was expected.

Don't get me wrong. Arsenal also spends lots of money on football players, but they are moderate, in comparison to the Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United and Man City madness on the transfer market.
Chelsea looks like Manchester United from several tears ago-spending insane amounts of money and desperately wanting to buy a bunch of overpriced players, assuming that this will solve all their problems. Well, it didn't solve any problems for Manchester United and it won't solve the problem for Chelsea. The problem is the manager, not the players.

The winter transfer market is over and at the same time Enzo Fernandez, who was recently brought in by Chelsea from Benfica, made him the most expensive player purchase in the English Premier League and managed to break the transfer record previously held by Jack Grealish when he moved to Man City from Aston Villa. For me it is absolutely crazy what FC Chelsea was doing during this winter transfer period. It will be interesting to see what players will leave the club now in the summer. If they are losing players like Havertz for example then i don't really think that the overall quality of the squad of Chelsea has improved even though they have spent an ridiculously high amount of money.
I also have to say, that i think that it is absolutely stupid to pay a transfer fee of 130M€ for a player that "only" has a market value of 55M€. Enzo Fernandez has played a great world cup there is no doubt about that, but that is not enough to justify such an extremely high transfer fee. Chelsea has just gone mad.

I understand that Jorginho is the wrong side of 30 and cannot replicate Thomas Partey’s role. But with Mohamed Elneny facing an extended injury layoff, and Sambi going to Crystal palace, Arsenal remain short in holding midfield. It’s not really a replacement for Thomas Partey, but bringing in another midfielder to thicken the depth. Honestly, it’s a good signing, €12M for a proven EPL player that brings in depth and experience to this squad isn't too bad. And it's only a short term fix as the contract also suggests.

To be honest, I don't expect much from Jorginho. however because Arsenal didn't get what they wanted from several of the midfielders they had their eye on in the January transfer window, in particular failing to sign Caicedo from Brighton. Jorginho, could be an option to replace Thomas Partey. at least, Jorginho can be relied on by Arteta considering he has a long experience in the Premier League.

According to rumors, the arrival of Jorginho clearly made coach Mikel Arteta happy because he is an admirer of the player. however, it is reported that the voice of the Gunners supporters broke because Jorginho had difficulty showing his best performance with Chelsea. Meanwhile, if you look at the skills he has. Jorginho has a plus, he has more accurate passing accuracy than Partey and Caicedo. apart from that, whatever Arteta does. as a Gunners fan, I hope he can perform well with his new team.

Arsenal signing jorginho can as a surprise to me , but the coach Arteta knows what's he want,  Youri Tieleman would have been a better signing than Jorginho because of what he brings to the team defensively, arsenal are leaving no area of the squad unattended to as they are improving every aspect of the squad with quality additions, Jorginho will try and settle things in midfield in the coming games.

Arteta wants to have a quick replacement for Thomas Partey in the defensive midfield position because Partey needs a substitute, which is the main Arsenal problem because Sambi Lokonga has been loaned out and Elenny, who is supposed to be his replacement, is also injured, so the signing of Jorginho will help because Partey will be able to rest in some games.

He becomes a worthy replacement, especially with the ability and experience he has, this is clearly very profitable for Arsenal. On the age side, he can still be counted on because regardless of anything, 31 years old is still very capable of competing.
They did lose a few players in recovery and this is a very good addition of course for Arsenal.

Now we just have to wait to see if Arsenal will sign another player as the rumors of an upcoming midfielder for Arsenal still exist at the moment for the nearest.

Arteta is building a title contender team, with the jorginho arrival to the team is a boost to the team.Arsenal is playing impressive game and a team to  beat, Thomas partey will partner with jorginho in the midfield, Arteta can adopt two defensive midfielders using Thomas partey and jorginho.
Thomas partey has been  part of the team, and there's no way jorginho Will replace him immediately, I think Arteta has a lot of decision to make in the team starting up.

Agreed, it shall be around less than 100 million but it's all decided by benfica. Chelsea has no other choice than get him as a new player. I meant Chelsea was also having caicedo as an option but it seems potter prefers to get enzo rather than caicedo considering both have been tagged with big prices by benfica and brighten.

Don't you remember if newcastle bought 9 players last season? The different thing is almost all of the players bought eddie howe have very cheap price compared with Chelsea. There are chance for Chelsea to come back later. Chelsea won't miss European spot.

Especially with several of his players currently injured and if they all recover, how will they manage these players? will this player who has just recovered from injury be sold to another club in the transfer market next summer? It seems that Chelsea is too greedy in the transfer market this time and doesn't want to know about the fate of its players in the future.

I think some players will be sold in the summer window. in depth the Chelsea squad is inhabited by players of high quality and even the arrival of Enzo will make the Chelsea squad strong enough for the rest of the season. Todd Boehly has spent quite a lot of money in changing the Chelsea squad to be stronger but I think the signing of Enzo can do the best for Chelsea this season.

indeed some of their core players are absent this season due to serious injuries, I think the players at Chelsea will continue to compete for the main place in every match.

Chelsea aren't Newcastle united, they both can't be buying players at the same price so sure, Chelsea will definitely be buying players much higher. I bet those players been bought for that cheap price by Newcastle, if it was Chelsea coming after them then they'll be priced higher than what Newcastle paid for them. Lets not forget, Chelsea tried negotiating for Enzo Fernandez fee but the club didn't want anything less than the release clause and also don't forget that Chelsea aren't playing all the fees upfront. They only paid about €40 or so, there's that's also good business.

Chelsea tried delaying the negotiations until the last days to see if any chances will be made but it seems Benfica weren't going any lower and Chelsea were now desperate for a replacement since jorginho has gone to arsenal and there was a void to be filled which the coach wanted Enzo Fernandez to be the player to filled that void. I think the Coach will find a way to make all the players happy especially the new players and lets not forget, many players will be leaving at the end of the season.

Liverpool are thinking possibilities to gets N'Golo Kanté from Chelsea and his status will be free transfer this summer because possibly Kante will not gets contract extension and if Chelsea gets Enzo Fernandez from Benfica i think there is no reason for him to stayed at Chelsea and Liverpool indeed currently lack of midfielder but i don't know Kante will be the right solution for Liverpool or not because he was often to gets injured and indeed Kante used to is great midfielder but with his injured history some people are very doubt Kante will performing well again and i wish Klopp will considering this factor before bought him this summer

I think that the question can't be answered. I meant chelsea also wants to give him a new contract. AFAIK, it's not only Liverpool. Real madrid has been reportedly interested in kante too. Kante is such a great player for Chelsea. Kante has been getting so many trophies since he was coming to Chelsea. I think that kante is very close to fully recovering from his injury. I hope that Chelsea will give him a new contract since he was very important to the club. Kante is as good as reece james.

Liverpool should hunt for another midfielder, ngolo isn't leaving chelsea, if he was to do that, Real Madrid would have been preferable, which also is not hapening. I hope to see Kante play again in chelsea squad. Already Gorginjo has been given out, it will be of a big loss to see Kante work out.  Chelsea's midfield proved deficient ever since Kante's injury, I'm just praying that Enzo plays up to expectation because the amount that is been spent on him is quite too much and I think chelsea is only doing this out of frustration.

Kante is a veteran player that has so many experiences in football. I think that kante will be so good to be a leader once he will able to recover from his injury. Thomas partey has been  part of the team, and there's no way jorginho Will replace him immediately, I think Arteta has a lot of decision to make in the team starting up.

Jorginho was brought in to help ease the workload off Thomas Partey in the Midfield. The number of times that Sambi Lokonga has been tried, he has proved not yet worthy to share the load with Partey which Elneny was doing. With Jorginho we now have an experienced midfielder that can be depended on in the case that Partey cannot play, or he is removed from a game, or a game where we need our midfield to be solid, the coach can play both of them as said already. My biggest hope however for him is that he adapts well to the club.

We have really spent less this Transfer season, but made good signings in some key positions. We got Trossard for 21million Euros, Kiwior for 17million euros and Jorginho for just 12million Euros, just a total of 50million Euros. We have done good business again.
