441  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: December 22, 2012, 05:56:11 PM

1200SF warehouse; 4800SF Office. As of Nov. 14th, space was still available, but we were shown equipment moving in prior to that date. Possibly, the earliest starting least date was Dec. 1st. No sprinkler system. Least rate.

My smallest warehouse is 1200SF. It's nothing. BTW, the "No" in the image above reflects if the space is equipped with sprinklers.
Is the sprinkler system the focus of your attention? If so, why? What is the importance? (Of there not being one?)

May make it hard to insure  Huh   OR............arson to come soon for insureance money  Grin

442  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MemoryDealers.com founder Roger Ver abuses admin access at Blockchain.info on: December 20, 2012, 03:11:46 PM
private information (phone number) has been disclosed from the blockchain.info database.

Source?

[Edit: What you are probably assuming is that the person's info (phone number) posted in another thread came from blockchain.info.  It did not.  Blockchain.info doesn't hold that information regardless.]

Unsure if it is his phone number, but all that information came from blockchain.info database.

443  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 1 BFL Single for sale on: December 20, 2012, 02:49:00 PM
Keep in mind the BFL Single prices are currently being influenced by the BFL trade-up program.  Sellers believe their singles are worth the trade-up value when they offer them for resale.  As long as the trade-up program is in effect, BFL singles will be artificially expensive.  Once the program ends they'll be the same as a Jalapeno.

Any BFL single that doesn't already have a ASIC upgrade order attached to it is significantly devalued.
444  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB BFL singles on: December 20, 2012, 02:31:58 PM
Things might have changed, but I'm pretty sure they're worth more than that..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Butterfly-Labs-BFL-BitForce-Single-Bitcoin-Mining-Rig-/190750862076?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c69a32afc

Of course, things might have changed since the reward half..

That auction ended a month and a half ago. Most Singles now are going for 400-500, from what I've seen. If you can sell one for 600, you're doing awesome.

Have any of us said "the chance of X happening is so remote that we don't need to worry about it?"  I have, and far too many times I've had to follow up by saying "ain't never seen that before".

Well, perhaps your analysis of the probability of X occurring was faulty? That said, I've always thought million-to-one chances happen nine time out of ten.

Exactly... Like "storms of the century" seem to happen every year Wink

oh.. and with all the math formulas being spewed here by meni and ooc, i'm beginning to think that both of them are actually wolfram alpha sock puppet accounts  Grin

454  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [70 GH/s] BTCOxygen.com - Pure PPS=Guaranteed Profits, Stratum=ASIC Ready on: December 14, 2012, 08:56:06 PM
There is a lot of animosity and accusations being thrown around. I see no proof that this is the actual BTCOxygen pool operator "harassing" people on irc, I only see someone using that nickname. As others have said in this thread, there are two options BTCOxygen is working against his own best interests to circumvent irc bans and bother people to no discernible advantage and, more likely someone is posing as the pool operator to immaturely sabotage his character.

That is your opinion, and you are certainly welcome to it. But you are incorrect on both.  Wink

BFL has stated they won't change shipping addresses on orders.
459  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Raspberry Pi 512MB - 4 BTC on: December 14, 2012, 12:31:52 AM
Is it because these are out of stock that they go so much higher than market price?

I think that's how supply and demand works. Wink
Lol.  I should have worded that differently.

Are they still out of stock everywhere?

Meh.. I bought it because I've wanted one, and I've got the BTC available.
People have to stop hoarding BTC and start using it if it's going to be a viable currency.
460  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [70 GH/s] BTCOxygen.com - Pure PPS=Guaranteed Profits, Stratum=ASIC Ready on: December 13, 2012, 11:26:09 PM
BTCOxygen has been asked not to return to a couple of irc channels for whatever reason.
He failed to comply. A ban was set in place.
He has evaded the multiple bans set in place by using proxies.

This is all that needs to be discussed.

Anyone that's used irc for more than a couple of weeks should understand what an irc channel ban means. An individual that does not understand simple irc rules and etiquette and has to harass multiple respected and well known pool operators is not one that I would personally want to support by mining at a pool that they run.

Take the events that have transpired and make your decision whether or not to mine here.  Good luck to those that continue.  I am hoping that BTCOxygen is just a newbie to irc and doesn't understand what a ban means. If BTCOxygen respects the bans that have been set in place, there need be no further discussion of this matter.  If he decides to continue to circumvent the bans, I am fairly confident that various individuals will ensure that the community know about his behavior.
