361  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL: Chips have shipped, on their way to US on: February 27, 2013, 03:08:49 AM

Did kano ever claim that the light aircraft in the picture is the one in which he flew or is that just an assumption people made?

Yes. That's the plane that Josh and kano flew.

362  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER: Cablepair (Tom) from BTCFPGA.com/bitcoinasic.net on: February 26, 2013, 11:27:59 PM
Thanks Tom. I'm guessing BitcoinASIC.com was liquidated and whoever bought it was behind the CAN-ELECTRIC scam? Would probably be good to clarify this for the benefit of the accusers here.

Wish you and your family the best.

People need to stop giving Tom excuses to use and let him explain himself to the community if he has any hope at all of returning to it.  I for one would like to hear the complete story of how bASIC failed.  We now hear for the first time, from the horse's mouth, that the chips as designed were failing.
363  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: LTB -- Jalapeno on: February 26, 2013, 12:48:15 PM
Been looking and trying to find details about min system requirements for the BFL Jalapeno. If anyone has info or can direct me to a link where i can read them, that would be much appreciated, Thanks in advance.

simple a basic laptop or computer to run it from and using usb. The basic you could use is a Raspberry Pi Smiley

so my APU A*-3870k processor (AMD) and Asus Motherboard (AM3+ board) and 120 ssd Harddrive and 8gb ram will be enough windows 7 64bit to run device and the software it comes with?

more than enough
364  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] X6500 FPGA BTC miners (With Escrow) USA ONLY on: February 25, 2013, 02:07:54 PM
Has anyone used the TML bitstream on their x6500s? 255MH/s/chip claimed.
365  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch#2 Re-open 2/18 on: February 25, 2013, 12:57:27 PM
I've refrained from PMing BitSyncom because I'm sure that his inbox is most likely overloaded. Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me?

Placed some orders on Feb 3 at about 11AM CST (First wave Batch #2).  I have the WalletBit receipts.  I have received no updates from Avalon-Store.com regarding a order confirmation.
Placed orders on Feb 18th at about 10:50AM CST (2nd wave Batch #2).  I have Wallet Bit receipts and also received a Avalon-Store.com order confirmation.

Checking the status of my orders on Store-Avalon.com I see only Feb 18th orders.  Some show "Processing" and some show "Pending".

#1 - Should I be eventually receiving a order confirmation for the 1st wave Batch #2 orders?
#2 - Should the 1st wave Batch #2 orders from Feb 3rd be shown on the website?

It's a bit frustrating having spent the money I did and not receiving even a single email thanking me for my order.  If no email is going to to out, I would hope that at least the website would be corrected to properly show my orders.

368  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] *FANS* for Sapphire 5830 xtreme's on: February 22, 2013, 04:17:19 PM
I assume the regular non-xtreme Sapphire's use the exact same fan?  anyway, I need 4 of these to get them ready to resell (well, make that 5, in case another breaks down in the next month or so)..   Most of my 5830's I've been running fanless @ 0.95v for a while now..

anyone have a batch they'd want to sell, or could direct me to some guy on ebay?

thanks

Measure the diameter, height and bolt pattern and go here: http://myworld.ebay.com/cooler_shop/&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2754
Don't forget to match the plug ends and wire length. I bought many fans for Nvidia and AMD from them.

He doesn't have any for the sapphire 5830s Wink
I've looked.

Did you use your fan dimensions or just look for the name? I used the dimensions to match up the fans on my Diamond 5830's. They were a little shorter in height but worked fine.
You can also email him if you haven't.

Fan dimensions of course.  The 5830s use a funky 39mmx41mmx39mmx41mm mounting pattern. I think he's got sapphire 5850 fans which are a bit smaller but $28 for the fan :/
369  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB: Rooted Android phone on: February 22, 2013, 04:15:30 PM
Rooting is not really the problem. Just need an android phone that can be rooted. Changed the op

I've got a practically new sealed in the box htc one s 16GB. used for 2 days and put back in the box.   I see they go for about $275 which is why I didn't offer it earlier.

Now I know why I ignored Hippie Tech.  I wonder what pool he's a puppet for?
Wish the forum would ignore idiots like this.

Everyone please click the "ignore" under his nick.
Thanks much.
373  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: February 20, 2013, 03:01:19 AM
BTW, reinforcements are here, 33 more 7950, I simply couldnt resist the price. Pictures to be soon. If I am correct, I will be at 80GHs now Smiley

Gutsy move with asics around the corner.  Right now you are looking at maybe $65/month gross assuming no change in diff.  Expect that to be reduced to $20/month in about 1 month and less than $5/month after that. I'd be surprised if you see a payback period under a couple of years.
374  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: February 20, 2013, 12:33:42 AM
How much power is SATA cable rated for?
I have 5830's that's undervolted, and was thinking of using SATA to PCI-E power cables.
Don't!!!
It can handle no more than 5 amps so no more than 50-60W. And the connector is the problem, not the cable, the connecting surface is too small.

been running 5830s on sata->pcie power connectors for over a year.  no problems.
375  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB In Hand Avalon Asic on: February 19, 2013, 11:55:52 PM
No one has an Avalon ASIC out there? Still interested for now.

No one that would actually want to sell it Wink
376  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 11 pending preorders for Avalon ASIC @ Batch 2 on: February 19, 2013, 04:54:56 PM
How are you planning to get an unpaid-for preorder?  If you don't pay for it within 10 minutes it gets canceled.

378  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB: Rooted Android phone on: February 15, 2013, 11:05:37 PM
I need an android phone that is completed unlocked and allows root access. This is a project I'm working on so the cheaper I can get one the better but it'd be nice if it was Android 4.0 and was in good condition.

PM me or post here with what you have and what you want.

Thanks guys!

I have a used Samsung Dart complete with box and all accessories.  It's been in a case and screen protector since new.
I'm sure I could root it for you.  It appears that it will run ICS, although I'm not sure what's on it now.

$50 shipped to 48 CONUS.
I also have a new one if you want for $80 shipped.

Is it possible to put the .dll files into the miner itself?

Now why would you want to do that... unless... no..
you want to create an easily portable cpu miner? hmmm..

look how the price appears to have drop fast yet bids are being placed above the the curent price...

what happened

their was a sell off when they saw the wall

then bids where placed, high and no one sold into them?

i think this chart is a Photoshop / bugged / or if true... really fucking bullish

I don't appreciate being called a liar.
