461  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how traders earn money?? on: September 14, 2015, 03:17:52 AM
Trading bitcoin is a very hard deal. It can get you great profit, but it can also give you a lot of headaches.

You might find this article interesting:
http://gizmodo.com/how-to-trade-bitcoin-and-if-you-should-1484488823

I'm not sure that's the best reference for someone to get started.
That article from early 2014 recommends Mt Gox and stated that the block reward for mining is 50 BTC.

It seems the fuel is getting low. Is this just a big set up for a dump?

The official verdict from a bit over an hour ago is that the weekly candle on a large number of exchanges came out red...  (but barely).  Will be interesting to witness whether next week's candle is red or green... seems more likely to be green than red, but what da fuq do I know?

Nothing concrete enough for me to make a trade. I was short until this morning. Not sure where we are headed and I'm not seeing anything definitive enough to take a position.

I can make a guess on what the 3 day might do... which would be very bullish if we had a bullish engulfing candle that covers the 3 previous reds.

463  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: September 14, 2015, 12:39:59 AM
I would say buy low and trade btc. Use the markets and play futures and options to increase your btc. This is my plan to get rich. Options trading. Vanilla and Binary options!

You can do that... Until one unexpected move wipes out your capital. Smiley

That's why traders should be careful with leveraged positions in a volatile market like bitcoin. It's also wise to place tight stops on your positions so you don't get wiped out on a bad trade.
464  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: September 14, 2015, 12:38:25 AM
I am interested by those signature campaign, can someone tell me more ? Also, how can you make $30/week, I only make 0,33 Shocked ! Maybe it's because I do not use a lot of faucets. But I can really earn from this ?

Here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

Yes faucet is slave labor. You're welcome.

You can actually earn a decent amount from faucets with referral links, but that would require a site.
Since you're a Senior Member you should absolutely have a sig campaign, you'll get paid out much better than faucets for doing what you already do (post on bitcointalk).

It doesn't work now. I get "Nice try" and "Could Not Update DB" messages.

Yikes not my day today. Thanks for the heads up, this has been resolved.
466  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Any chance we can change "view on Blockchain.info" to something that works? on: September 13, 2015, 10:39:11 PM
Not a bad idea, or even let the user choose the explorer they want to use.

There are lots of choices out there.

467  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: September 13, 2015, 10:22:33 PM

No proof that those were solved by bots.
Based what I'm finding, funcaptcha is the best defense against macros and bots.

http://network.ubotstudio.com/forum/index.php?/topic/18036-bot-for-funcaptcha/
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/funcaptcha-shines-ultimate-bot-blocking-130000963.html

I'm going to stick with funcaptcha for now.
468  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: September 13, 2015, 10:09:43 PM
No captcha is 100% safe from bots.
http://hackaday.com/2012/05/25/captcha-bot-beats-new-are-you-a-human-playthru-game/

Changing your captcha service every so often probably isn't a bad idea though. I would assume the attacker has a list of recaptcha sites vs solvemedia vs areyouhuman etc and then puts a specific bot for each site? It seems like bots are specific to the captcha type and not universal. So if you change your captcha service every so often it might annoy the botter enough to stop targeting your site.
469  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Licenses for Bitcoin Business? on: September 13, 2015, 09:45:46 PM
I guess it would depend on the type of business. If you are making homemade jelly and you want to sell it online for bitcoin, you are not going to need a special bitcoin license. If you are going to be holding other people's coins like an exchange that's when you are going to need a license.

yesterday, i have won only 12 satoshi, why ?
today, i add a captcha and my btc address and read "You must wait 4 more minutes."

I got the same issue. After 7-8 hours from last claim i visited the site now and i got "you have to wait 13 minutes".
There's something wrong with it Smiley

Thank you for letting me know about this issue guys. I found the error that was causing the times to get all messed up.
It has now been fixed, and this won't happen again.
471  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [QUESTION] Bitcoin Ad network on: September 13, 2015, 07:21:43 PM
Yes thisir would be useful. There are many publishers that are looking for betree paying ad networks. Currently, nothing comes close to adsense payouts.

Hmm that's strange... the time is set when you click the Start button with a successful captcha and is based on your BTC address. I'm noticing several other people that are able to claim every 30 minutes. So if you claim on your cell phone with your BTC address, and then try to claim again on your laptop before the 30 minutes has passed you will hit the time limit breach since the timer is based on BTC address.
the same happened to me I came back after 5 hours but it said 4 minutes remaining please solve this cron issue

Interesting... okay I'm away from home right now. It might be the way I have the function written, it operates without crons. I'll rewrite it tonight when I get home.

474  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: CoinWallet.eu Stress Test Cancelled + Bitcoin Giveaway on: September 12, 2015, 03:32:44 PM
Seems to me that the stress test, also known as Bitcoin Giveaway, has failed to harm the Bitcoin transactions in any way.

While Mem pool is quite large and tx back-log has also grown, it seems that the only back-log are the spam transactions them self.

Real transactions are going through as usual Smiley

I only made one transaction today. It is unconfirmed after 8 hours.

I sent it using "bitcoin-cli sendtoaddress ...", let bitcoin core select its own fee - I think it's meant to use "smart fees" now - and it decided to use a fee of 300 satoshis. FFS.

The legendary doog even tried!
I think these dust addresses and keys will float around with a balance for a while. It's just not worth the effort to write out a 5 input raw transaction in core just to receive 0.00002 after the 0.00003 in fees. And it's too much work to write out a 100 input raw tx let alone these are filled with 3,000+ inputs.

i have any problem, i see in the thread
300-10,000 every 30 minutes.
Instant payout to faucetBOX.

yesterday, i have won only 12 satoshi, why ?
You get always 300 satoshi and then you play the game for a chance to get 10k
So you got 312 satoshis yesterday.

Thank you lelouch.
Yeah you received 312 satoshis not just 12.
Then you must wait 30 minutes between claims.

can is a good idea but if the reward is high, because i waste more time, i have add 11 different number and later:
Reward: 12
Winner!
12 satoshi was sent to your FaucetBOX.com address.

12 satoshi is very low

won 10000 satoshi  Smiley

Awesome job, 1st guess!
I won't be changing back to solve media or recaptcha due to bots.
477  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: cheating faucets on: September 12, 2015, 05:11:35 AM
how can you tell how many bots are blocked ? does funcaptha tell yo?

Yea it has a dashboard and tells you how many puzzles have been started, how many completed successfully and how many bots it has blocked.

Got my 500 satoshis thanks.
I think you should consider removing the pop-up ad when the user clicks on the input box. Pop-ups are disliked by many users.
479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 12, 2015, 04:44:16 AM
I still believe that bitcon's price will go to zero in a few years; but almost certainly not by that route...

I think you are dismissing die-hards and fanatics in that equation.
There are still people that play Quake III and pay for servers even though the game is 16 years old. There is still a select few that still play.
I know bad example, except for those of us in the 30's age group.
Anyways my point is that there will always be a demand and use for bitcoin. If not by mainstream then at least by niche users and diehards. There are some people that wouldn't be able to resist buying 100,000 BTC for $10.00.

A zero price could only be achieved by a major flaw in the protocol that either revealed private keys, or allowed people to generate 'counterfeit' bitcoins.
480  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: cheating faucets on: September 12, 2015, 04:30:01 AM
Faucet owners are trying to protect themselves against bots, though it sometimes makes their faucet real mystery to solve.

A point has been reached were faucet owners are using this as an excuse for such actions.

Posts in the faucetbox thread have shown that using other Captchas such as FunCaptcha has helped reduce bot abuse substantially.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1094930.msg12376133#msg12376133

That was an eye opener, thanks! I just switched my sites over to funcaptcha after seeing that thread. It's only been switched over for a half hour and my dashboard reports over 30 bots have been blocked!
i just had to shut my xapo faucet down due to bots...I can tell because there is no ref number behind 20 claims in a row...my faucet script was made for solvemedia and im not sure how to change code for funcaptcha.i tried just adding the keys but didn't work in the dash board...i will try tomorrow to figure this out.If yu go to thebotnet.com they had the bots listed in there and they are using my list to add to there bots as you can see here .  http://thebot.net/threads/coincollector-v2-multi-faucet-bot.316973/page-37#post-3491172

The transition from solvemedia over to funcaptcha was really smooth for me. Let me know if you need any help with it. Already up to 155 bots blocked since the switch.
