Jordan are in the final then after beating South Korea 2-0 in the first semi final. We will see who joins Jordan in the final tomorrow when Iran take on Qatar.

I have to admit I thought it would be other teams in the final. Japan were my favourites to win it but they choked.

Nigeria vs South Africa
Ivory Coast vs Congo

I predict it’ll be a Nigeria vs Ivory Coast final. I think that’s what neutrals want to see, t’d be a really entertaining final.

I think Mbappe will end up at Real Madrid, there are only a few teams that can afford the package it’d cost to get him. He will be a free transfer but there will be a significant signing on fee and the wages will be astronomical.

I think he will sign for Real, the prestige there is to play for that club will mean he picks them, in my opinion.

Fully expect Man City to take advantage of Liverpool’s slip up yesterday and destroy Brentford tonight. This is the time of every season under Pep where they rattle off 10+ consecutive victories to really swing the title pendulum in their favour.

I’m disappointed in Liverpool yesterday but we hadn’t lost in the league since September and Salah was out. We will regroup and put Burnley to the sword on Saturday.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 04, 2024, 07:41:20 PM
Lacklustre performance by LFC, I make no excuses, Arsenal were better and wanted it more. Having said that, I don’t think we lose that without that comical 2nd goal. Absolutely pathetic by Van Dijk. We got what we deserved, 0 points.

Move on to the next game, Burnley at home, we can't afford too many more performances like that. Must be better, let’s get Salah back from injury and go again.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 03, 2024, 07:18:25 PM
Sheffield United 0-5 Aston Villa

3 minutes to go as I type this but safe to say the points are going back to Aston. Great result for them after a little bit of bad form. They’re back in 4th, level on points with Arsenal in 3rd.

I’d love to see them aualify for the CL.

An incredible game at St. James' Park finishes level. 🤝

Not the result Newcastle would have wanted before kick off but at 4-2 down with 25 minutes to play you can guarantee Newcastle would have been delighted with a draw.

So bearing that in mind, a good point for The Toon. Would have been a great game to see live.

I’m supporting Japan to win the tournament. We’re at the 1/4 final stage now with Tajikstan vs Jordan on 76 minutes as I type this, Jordan lear 1-0.

Here’s a write up on the games - https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/sports/2024/2/1/titans-prepare-to-do-battle-as-the-asian-cup-hots-up-in-the-quarterfinals
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: February 01, 2024, 09:59:43 PM
As a result, the quarterfinal pairings turned out to be as random as possible:

Nigeria - Angola                  1.69 - 3.53 - 5.19

Congo - Guinea                   2.35 - 2.84 - 3.38

Mali - Ivory coast                3.68 - 2.88 - 2.21

Cape Verde - South Africa    2.69 - 2.86 - 2.84

Some really unfancied teams have made it this far. I did not predict the likes of Senegal, Morocco and Egypt or even Algeria to get knocked out before the 1/4 finals.

I guess every dog has its day. It’s time for somebody else to become Kings Of Africa. It’d be a beautiful story if Cape Verde could do it, they are such a small country, it’d be a great story.

Why does Chelsea have to lose the match? If not that Chelsea performance has dropped drastically, they should be competing with Liverpool, and they shouldn’t be losing matches to even a club like Liverpool. I was just surprised that Liverpool scored four goals in the match, Chelsea should be ashamed of themselves for that. I was even expecting something better from Chelsea in the match, but they ended up surprising me. The match was just kind of easy for Liverpool. Seriously, Chelsea manager is really having a lot of things to work on in the team, Chelsea shouldn’t continue like this.

Chelsea got humiliated because they are crap and have been all season. Liverpool are on fire, every player is doing everything they can on the pitch to try to win the title for the soon to be departing Klopp. You can have all the talent in the world but without the hunger and desire to do anything in your power to win you will underachieve. Chelsea have talented players but they aren’t as driven and hungry to win as Liverpool. We may not win the title but our players will come close to dying on the pitch to try to win it. I feel like the attitude of Chelsea players is they are on big money, long contracts and they aren’t as committed as they should be.

Any way, regarding the games tonight, West Ham drew 1-1 with Bournemouth and Man Utd are heating Wolves 2-0 with 20 minutes to go. A huge game awaits Liverpool at the weekend as we go away to Arsenal.

No. 10 ETFs sucked up about net BTC10.000 in last two days. GBTC outflows are slowing down from peak of about BTC15k/day to now about BTC5k/day in last 4 days. Not sure where they're getting their coins from but their supply will surely dry up soon. Price action is a mystery for now, oh well, relax, and just keep on stacking

Spot BTC ETFs now own 3.3% of the supply. That number is only going to increase.
https://watcher.guru/news/spot-bitcoin-etfs-hold-3-3-of-current-btc-supply

I think the supply shock is going to create explosive upwards price action shortly after the halving. We’ve never had this much potential fiat ready to enter BTC before.

$250,000 in play.

THREE GOALS AND THREE POINTS AT VILLA PARK! 🤩

Massive and much needed win for Eddie Howe’s men. Hopefully this is a shot in the arm that they’ve needed to really kick on and attack the remaining games. They can still make a late push to get into the CL spots but it has to start right now.

Aston Villa have been great at home for a while now so to go there and win 3-1, totally dominating them is hopefully a sign that Newcastle can get back to winning ways.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin [BTC] Price Could Reach $1.5 Million by 2030 Says Cathie Wood on: January 30, 2024, 09:35:24 PM
$1,500,000 is possible by 2030, I agree with her. It’s top end of what I think is possible by the end of the decade but still possible.

We have a halving in 2024 so our cycle high should land in 2025, I predict something like $250,000 as a possible blow off top.

We will then enter a bear market in 2026 and 2027.

The next halving is then 2028, I predict that cycle to be over $500,000 in late 2029. Cathy Wood knows more about markets than me though and I’m sure she’s done the math on how much capital is going to flow into Bitcoin now that it’s becoming a mainstream financial tool. I think somewhere between $500,000 and $1,000,000 by 2030.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: January 30, 2024, 07:52:44 PM
Gambling, to most, is a hobby. Hobbies by nature, should be enjoyable, they should be fun. The moment it stops being fun is when it becomes a problem and you probably need some time out.

The only person whose fault it is, if you lose enough money that it becomes a problem, is you.

With most addictions, the addict needs to take responsibility for their actions if they want to change. There is no point blaming anybody but yourself. All reputable casinos and sportsbooks do all they can to promote responsible gambling, you can set yourself limits. Ultimately, the punter is in control of their gambling habits.

As the home team, Liverpool is certainly the favorite to win. But I remember one thing, Chelsea is a better team when they have strong opponents. Liverpool need to be aware of all the possibilities and Chelsea's resistance, so this definitely won't be easy.

I am quite confident we will beat Chelsea tomorrow night. My prediction is 2-0 or 3-1 but it won’t he easy. I do think we are better than Chelsea in pretty much every position on the field. So far we are not missing Salah too much as other players are stepping up with the goals.

We play Arsenal away at the weekend though, I think that will be much tougher, Arsenal are better than Chelsea.
For tonight I will watch Aston Villa vs Newcastle, should be lots of goals in that one.
