I'm confused. First you say not to sell bitcoins now, and then you suggest trading in both directions (ie selling and buying) during 2015. Which is it?
It's hard to call the bottom, it could be 280, 200, or 100 for all I know. So money can be made on these areas if you want to risk missing the boat in the long run. |

You certainly have some strong faith in bitcoin. I just hope you don't go too far and you have a plan B for when (not if) the bottom falls out of the market. You seem to take things for granted based on your faith (ie. Bitstamp WILL re-open, and price WILL rally again) but there doesn't seem to be any catalysts on the horizon for such a move. There is no more momentum behind bitcoin like there was up until 2013, when merchant adoption was beginning and the silk road still seemed like a possible black market business model. Now people barely take notice when companies adopt bitcoin, China is out, and Ulbricht is behind bars (and his coins seized... so much for bitcoin being completely secure).
You're right that there is publicity, but most of it is associated with hacks, exchanges going under, and people who denounced their citizenship and trying to re-enter the country to pump their investment. Not a good image. Well, good luck to you.

Bitcoin isn't going to go up again without an actual Use Value. We know how to use Bitcoins to permanently upload files to the blockchain, and if we let the world know how to do this it would start driving up the value of Bitcoin immediately. Why aren't we doing it then?
Because people have hopes of BTC going really up in value and spending it in Anything is already a risk. Bitcoin feels like Gold, it doesnt feel like worthless dollars, so you double think spending anything with it. |

Bitcoin is not gold that you buy it and wait for it to rise in price because when it does rise all you silly guys would do is dump all the coins and create a bigger crash. Just do day trade, Bitcoin is a currency so trade it like it is one and not some rare commodity. What do you mean trade? in the markets or buy stuff with it? And why it has to be what you say it has to be? It is what people make out of it. If people want to hold it they can do it freely. usd = pieces of printed paper backed by military that will nuke oil-countries that don't want to accept it for oil. These pieces of printed paper also have to be given to the government as taxes. So there is a large economy willing to work for these pieces of paper. Unfortunately these pieces of paper crush any other form of currency for now. |
