1721  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trezor bug lost my bitcoins! on: March 10, 2015, 04:43:37 PM
How did you manage to create a transaction that leaves your balance in the negative? That should not be possible at all.
The transaction will not be confirmed because that would constitute a double spend.

Onkel Paul

its was bug.. i had 15 BTC, and tired to sent them.. but for some reason its leave me in -6.. and sent out 22 BTC what you think should i do to recover them back!?
What bug are you talking about? this seems like an huge problem that would have been mentioned before but I cant find anything.

1723  Economy / Economics / Re: Machines and money on: March 09, 2015, 04:49:34 PM
once i've read, that the first thing a machine does, is to create a more powerful/better machine of itself

so a machine will probably make a better bitcoin

So if a machine creates an even more powerful or better machine of itself, then how come you would say that it will create a better bitcoin? Is this machine that you're talking about is bitcoin? Huh
No, just stop it, we'll all die without seeing AI, it will never be a problem for us, the people of the future are the ones that will have skynet problems not us.
1724  Economy / Economics / Re: How to earn money with bitcoin ? on: March 09, 2015, 04:48:15 PM
you can try trading or faucet and try join signature camp too.
They don't pay enough.
Bitcoin Is money. So the question OP is asking is "how do I earn money with money"? It's a non sequitur.
1725  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make money on this forum on: March 09, 2015, 04:47:15 PM
Can someone explain what are the ways to make money on this forum?

Thanks
Offer quality services, other than that it's a waste of times. Faucets and signatures don't pay enough, its just a tiny extra. Try to make money off alt pump and dumps if you like gambling.
1726  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin useres on: March 09, 2015, 04:46:12 PM
Does anyone know how many people is using bitcoin very often and how many are "weekends" users, with weekend users I meant people who bought it and hold it for a long time Smiley
you can't really get exact number of bitcoin users, it's not possible i guess. for rough ideas check out the links posted by Anillos2.
You could more or less extrapolate from rate of adoption, downloaded wallets, amount of transactions... but it would only be a gross extimate.
1727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trojan targetting bitcoin! on: March 09, 2015, 04:45:07 PM
Trojan targets everything, Bank system, nuclear power station, companies, etc ,and it try to make money or for some politics reasons.

Bitcoin is growing, becoming a traget is also quite common.
Who will benefit here .. By the way any trojans take bitcoin. And what should we do to save the bitcoin ?? All I know is using offline wallet to save btc
There's a lot of trojan stealing wallets. Obviously the trojan owner would benefit. If you take safety precautions such as not installing random softwares, it should be fine. It would be rather inconvenient to save BTC on an offline computer so most would just put it on their online computer.

Just keep things common sense and dont download wallets from recently announced coins specially those that do not release the source code right away.
1728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you do with your bitcoin today? on: March 09, 2015, 04:44:27 PM
I HODLED too , and ended up buying around a coin more, being optimistic frrom this week on. Lets hope we reach a new high by the end of this week.
Same as the guys above. Holding and hoping tat the people that already got them hold, hoping that the people that are mentally retarded enough to not have any yet, buy and hold.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a virus to humanity, just another thing to manipulate us. on: March 09, 2015, 04:43:47 PM
Is bitcoin a virus to humanity. A mathematical virus. Something Dr. Who or someone is going to need to jump into action and save the world from. Its really an alien extraction wealth. Most are far too blind to see it if you step back far enough and look at the current world, society, structures, etc. Bitcoin is an anomaly that we don't know nearly enough for how it will work with humanity…

Bitcoin inside its coding might know its own destiny, but it could be no different than subvert alien invasion… Once you realize it, its too late.

For one, bitcoin is not going to work for 7 billion people and if it the world tried to make it work, it will fail and some how, something will be created and the aliens will come and take it after we create it.
Bitcoin is an extension of the human brain trying to solve problems, if it's a virus it's a good one, it must reproduce and spread all across the world to better ourselves.
1730  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do we destroy ISIS an co? on: March 08, 2015, 06:29:19 PM
We don't need to do anything, they are going to destroy themselves since they are barbaric and derranged in nature. They are already failing. They give the illusion of winning via propaganda but they are getting defeated. If US sent armed drones tomorrow it would be over.
1731  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hillary conducted official State business on her private e-mail account — ALL on: March 08, 2015, 06:26:56 PM
I would assume if you make it that far in live to reach the institutions you would be more wary of what you do on the internet, but it seems these people are literally clueless.
1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi make any comments about the initial 'imbalance' of Bitcoin wealth? on: March 08, 2015, 06:23:00 PM
Satoshi was no doubt a genius of moderm times, but even him couldn't predict Bitcoin's outcome, otherwise he would have thought about what the current to fork or not to fork problem for it to never arise.
1733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: March 08, 2015, 06:21:09 PM
If anyone should have become an overnight millionaire it should have been me. I've been involved in virtual economies for many years now (mmorpg gold exchanges) and if anyone should have had the foresight to become an early adopter of bitcoin it should have been me but instead I was wasting my time fucking around with virtual gold. I wake up every morning feeling depressed.

I go out and bust my ass every day working. I save and invest a percentage of my earnings. When I retire I will be well off. That gives me a great feeling of accomplishment and increases my catalog of knowledge-based skills and experience that increases my confidence levels as well. Stop being depressed and get mad at it, dig deep, bootstrap yourself, stick your nose to the grindstone and go earn and invest wisely, and maybe someday you will be that millionaire. In other words, anger is more useful than depair.
True, im also trying to retire as soon as possible, but the thing is, all these pre 2011 investors are now retired for life. It's pretty devastating knowing it could have been us too, I understand OP's frustration.
1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The proof-of-work is spurious and not useful computation on: March 08, 2015, 06:20:04 PM
Some people say that the proof-of-work is actually very useful computation because it is securing the network, but I don't think that is the point when one says that all the SHA256 computation that miners do for proof-of-work is completely useless computation.
Of course, it serves a purpose and that it is very much needed but the point is that it is pretty much a waste of computation because you are not actually getting anything from all those SHA256 hashings.
So, I think that saying it is also useful computation is besides the point.
The point is that maybe there is a way of having a proof-of-work that uses the computational processing power in a more interesting way.
We should be clear of what we mean when we say that all that computation is spurious and useless.
It is indeed basically a waste, just as it was a waste with hashcash proof-of-work for email.

PoW secures the network other than any available algorithms out there. The 'useless'  concept is good for the security and the overall network. Satoshi would have thought of the energy that will be spent as the difficulty goes up, but heck, the protocol itself is very well-designed and simple enough for problems not to occur frequently.
This. What you guys don't get is "all that waste" is required to make it difficult to the point is pratically impossible for the network to be compromised.
1735  Economy / Speculation / Re: This a good time to buy? on: March 07, 2015, 04:18:47 PM
I bought at 245. I sold at 278 and waiting now.

I would not buy now in the pump but whatever floats your boat.

I always remember myself prices will not go up forever, as well as they will not go down forever. Best of luck. Smiley

For whatever it's worth, I'm back in at 270.
Imo don't overdo too much buying and selling. Take a position and wait for a month. It requires too much luck  to make gains in these small corrections.
1736  Economy / Economics / Re: Dollar coming to an end on: March 07, 2015, 04:17:25 PM
Seems Euro is falling to the dollar value as well. If dollar overtakes Euro, I don't see dollar going down after that.,

The strong Dollar is helping the Dollar stay high but it will surely fall sharply at some point, in 6 months ? In a year ? It could start Today !
Not today, next month or in a year. But during the next decade. Luckily Bitcoin will keep growing as USD fails.
1737  Economy / Economics / Re: EUR might drop below USD on: March 07, 2015, 04:14:35 PM
Euro just dropped further! 12 year low  Shocked

it's going to drop even further. nothing shows any sign of recovery any time soon.
i only hope it will not go below the us dollar. for me as european it's horrible.

Some say it may reach dollar parity in the next decade and potentially lower like 85cents. If you are Greek you better have a lot of Bitcoin already.

Or Russian rubles since Greece is now trying to make friends with Russia as its savior and companion in their disdain for the European Union and dislike of the U.S. world hegemony.
I think Greece may end up getting betrayed by Russia if they don't fully adopt dracma again, they may end up alone.

Isn't that what they really want, i.e. to be left alone ("Grexit")? Greeks seem to be blaming the European Union for their misfortunes and severe economic downturn as of late. Besides that, many in Europe loathe at the idea that Europe’s economic crisis coincides with Germany’s rise as the dominant power on the continent, and Greece is no exception.

A friend in need is a friend indeed.

They don't necessarily want to leave, but they can't stay within the European Union accepting their premises since it's literally killing people. The problem is, if they leave, they are equally fucked or most likely even worse.
1738  Economy / Economics / Re: I need bitcoin to be $690 to break even.....will I make it? on: March 07, 2015, 04:07:56 PM
Don't give yourself excuse to break even. Since you have waited for quite some time why not just hang on there a little. I don't expect price to gain a lot during the halving which is supposed to be around next year but there is a high probably we'll see bitcoin crawling up to the previous high after the following halving.

You expect it to approach $1000 around 2020? I think it'll be long abandoned by all but the ultimate die hards if it isn't much, much bigger by then.

1000$ by 2020, is a bit optimistic imo. I just hope it comes back to 600 and stays stable there.

Is this your break-even too, and are you going to sell your bitcoins as soon as they reach 600$? In other words, did you lose your faith by now?

He's delusional to think "1000$ by 2020" is optimistic. We'll reach that within two years again no doubt.
1739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas M. Antonopoulos testimony for Australian Senate on: March 07, 2015, 04:02:17 PM
OT: Whenever someone says Mr. Antonopoulos I think of Snuffleupagus from Sesame Street.

Personally, whenever someone mentions Andreas, I immediately visualize an older Eddie Munster for some reason...

Lol. The kid reminds of Vegetta the character from Dragon Ball anime series.
1740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you deny evidence? bitcoin has deluded all us on: March 07, 2015, 03:59:13 PM
I see many idealists still thinking in a future rise. Why? The only real rise of bitcoin was due to a bubble, simply a bubble which lasted all 2013? from that bubble we always thought that was a trend, it was not. We and I were all super enthusiastic. None could forecast that after almost 2.years bitcoin was worth less than before. Tell yourself the truth do not try to convince about what you would like it to be. Actually people are NOT interested in using bitcoin. Yes banks are evil, sure, devil itself, but people like simplicity, many people are...how can I say? stupid and get used to their simple things.  Most people do not like to change. And they do not like to risk. There is no real reason why bitcoin should be mass adopted...to do what? Send money to someone, something you could do with very small fees (I can assure you I constantly do bank transfers I usually spend 1 euro whatever the bank transfer is) doing it A LONE with no warranty? knowing that a small minimal error, a hacker, a sudden Loss in value, could make you lose everything or a big part of your money?   as you see its nonsense.
There will be neither mass adoption nor total failure. Bitcoin will still be used for some years by some nerds, and it will get slowly less and less valuable until it will be finally forgotten, buried in some history book in the chapter ".utopias".  See history. How many utopias (political economical etc) have realised, how many failed soon or.after?  I know it's a good dream but we should wake up until it's to late... bitcoin will slowly be forgotten.

Why? Look at greece in the next months and then you'll see how bitcoin is going to save a lot of asses. You are the one that is deluded since you cant see beyond current price.
