You mean, like your posts on this ANN!

That is not an official announcement from the Ethereum Foundation - do you need spectacles, I can lend you a pair.

It is just a group of random people, having a speculative thread posting session.

Anyone, can start a new thread on any question they want too write and post about.

He is probably just a bagholder of ETCrap, a shorter of ETHF or buying secretly and wanting to lower prices for himself/his house/exchange.
Same kind of BS behavior on OTCBB stocks of people on forums being full of SHT.

ETHF has no future. ETHC does same job x10 cheaper.

How about EXP? They are even cheaper.

Why are ETHF fans so aggressive? Why don't they recognize the obvious?
Ether is a 'fuel' for smart contracts. Why don't buy same fuel x10 cheaper?

If you want to use ether as money (electronic cash) it is quite obvious it is inferior to bitcoin. Unclear money supply is a big issue for ethereum.
But if you want to use it as a fuel for your smart contracts it is quite obvious ETHC is the way to go!

It's quite simple actually.  If you were creating a dapp, which you expect will be a big hit and have (x, y, z) features and uses, what blockchain would you target?  The one with a minority, or the one with the majority?  Quite simply, Ethereum has known, dedicated devs and investors.  ETC is trying to do the same thing, but grown organically (and sometimes completely anonymously) from the ETC community.

To be blunt: Ethereum is going places, and it has the resources to do so.  ETC is a big fat question mark at best, and the market (and network) reflect this.  I wouldn't waste my time with ETC fuel, because compared to Eth fuel, it's going to have so little uses.  The majority agrees with this, whether the ETC community accepts it or not.

Ditto. The only people who keep pushing ETcRAP are the ones with a financial gain from it, the theft and the funds involved.
1247  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 196 blocks solved! on: September 16, 2016, 09:36:15 PM
Just a brief notification that the redirection gateway at solo.ckpool.org will be going down for maintenance approximately 36 hours from now. The DNS has been updated to direct miners to the stratum server so if you are connected on port 3334 or your miners don't support redirection, they will disconnect when this maintenance begins but assuming your mining software properly rechecks dns then they will automatically reconnect to the stratum server without any interruption.

Miners already connected to the stratum server (which is most miners except for rentals) will not be affected by this downtime.

In short, most of you won't notice anything but I will notify once more when this maintenance is over.
The maintenance has been put off for another 3 weeks so this no longer applies.
This maintenance is now complete. Did anyone notice anything? Cheesy

Yes, I didn't get a block!!!  Cheesy

They were used for less than a month and been sitting around in the boxes since, (I went straight to R9-390's after).

I'll get pics up later, but they have the original box and packaging from XFX. They were retail models.

Asking $125 per piece+ shipping form the Northeastern USA.

*Locking thread to keep riffraff out*. If interested, PM me.

**ADD**
They are the XFX Redline models with 75MH higher than stock/normal models and better cooling.

It seems eth etc both are in coma. Tiny volume, least movement in price, lack of general interest. If this condition persists newcomers will never know about these 2 coins in near future.

Is it time to buy?
Yes, it is time ti buy ETHC and sell ETHF.

Says a bagholder... Cheesy

1254  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: September 06, 2016, 10:49:16 PM
Great service offering by Nicehash.

Really amazing services. Any one can start instant cryptocurrency mining with nicehash. As well as if user have own hardware , then it can also be put on lease with time frame and rate.

Nicehash provide both way service useful for user and investors.

How much is the going rate for such dribble?
1255  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: September 02, 2016, 01:14:38 PM
when i connect my antminer s7 & s9 directly to nh it mines properly with very few rejects/stales or dupes but when i connect them via proxy lots of rejects especially dupes & invalid extranonce shares.

INFO:strat.mining.stratum.proxy.worker.StratumWorkerConnection - REJECTED share (diff: 4096.0) from on Nice/West Hash. Booo !!!!. Error: JsonRpcError code=20, message=Invalid extranonce2 size., traceback=null

other miners via proxy are ok, normal with occasional rejects such as stales or dupes just the antminers.

any solutions ?

thx.

Sure is.. Mine at a better pool.  Cheesy
1256  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: September 01, 2016, 04:29:57 AM
thedreamer, Nicehash is working for sellers income, not the renters income.

Yup, but if the renters get screwed there will be less of them to rent your gear. Simple as that.
Either way, looks like NH has lost 50% of the hash rate and is dropping from before the 'update' so......

1257  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: August 31, 2016, 03:54:52 AM
We explained several times already, why price dropping is not freely. Let me explain for you again;

Let's assume you mine SHA256.
If price drop was free, you could first set high enough price (1.5) to gather all miners (15 PH/s), then suddenly drop price to 0.0001. Since miners are being slowly reassigned to new orders by random time intervals, it would take several ten minutes before miners would be reassigned off your order to more profitable orders. Meanwhile, profit ratio for all SHA256 miners would drop near to 0.0001 and slowly rise up.

If we enabled free price drops, NiceHash would soon cease to exist, because all miners would rather mine elsewhere due to very low profitability on NiceHash.

Every rule we have there is for a good reason. We don't make rules just for fun or to annoy any party, but to prevent all kind of malicious activity that would either harm buyers or sellers.

Wow a reply from NH Support.

The scenario you are using for an example can not be true though as if someone gets all the miners at a high price, then drops the price to anything lower, the current other renters' prices (which will be higher) will protect against huge drops. So limiting a down-ward trend to a miniscule amount would not make Nicehash 'cease to exist' but cut into your profits at letting people stay at artifically high prices.

Another example, is if current prices are 'x', you start a new order with a max of 'x+5', but when the order starts it almost always goes to 'x+5' at then can take forever to get back to the 'normal pay levels' that other people are getting.

So you are essentially forcing people to keep resetting orders and deleting/recreating new ones constantly, putting extra transactions on the books.
I am surprised you guys don't have a minimum set amount of fees for creating orders.

Before your latest system 'update' everything seemed to work well for everyone, other than nicehashbot crashing constantly. Shoudl have stayed with that system and not hoze a lot of people. Notice how your hash rate is like 30-50% less than it used to be?

I love what you said but they are selling...apparently a lot of rats can't tell rat poison from month-old cheese!  For once I would love to see all miners band together and show biteme who really has control...it's the person who holds the money!  I think we tend to forget that little tidbit.

Unfortunately most people have no scruples and brownnose the company that they THINK will make money for them, even though that company has already calculated that they will more than likely never Profit, if ever ROI. Also said company doesn't give a sht about running a good business with business ethics, which is pretty much how most CHinese co's are run (speaking from experience, so don't hate).  Cheesy
1259  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: August 28, 2016, 07:35:01 PM

If I understand what is being talked about, then it cannot be changed in the code.
The amount an existing order can be decreased is a set amount, and time, from NH, you basically have no say in what the amount is. (Kinda like an easy button)
When you increase the price you can go to any amount but when decreasing you must step down one increment at a time.

Quote from NH site here: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqb6

You can also decrease price of your existing orders. To avoid manipulation, price decrease is only available within predefined price steps, can be applied only each 10 minutes and resets your position to the bottom of sub-list of same-priced orders. The predefined value of price decrease is displayed on Decrease price button. Of course, once you decrease price you can always later increase it without any limitation.

When I first started using NH I really didn't like this either but, now I am use to it. I guess they have wore me down.
Am I a lemming now?  What cliff?

Funny how they say "...To avoid manipulation.....". This is exactly what they are doing though and what is going on. Someone pops in with a crazy high paying order, ups the prices by 20-30-40% or more for a short while. Then all the people using nicehashbot are stuck spending a ton more in BTC as it will take them hours or days to get back to normal levels (in which case the price manipulation happens again). I've seen this many times lately since nicehash's system 'update'.

So instead of combating it by allowing either a user-defined drop price amount, or increasing it to something more than the miniscule amount every 10 minutes, they limited it even more, screwing renters. It makes them earn a ton more in fees though.

I'm surprised anyone still uses them. MRR is much better even, although there you have to deal with renters who have no clue to hwo properly configure a pool.

Also, notice how nicehash never replies to actual concerns that MATTER on here?
