No.

Datapoint:

I just made a donation to the Trump campaign for the first time.  Standard credit card type (no Bitcoin option unsurprisingly...I broke my rule about never supporting an entity except via Bitcoin.)

I thought it funny that they would not at least send me a thank-you e-mail.  They did, but it didn't show up in my 'inbox' (Google Apps platform.)  I do find it in my 'all mail' box and it seems to have only an 'inbox' tag.  It's not in the 'spam' mailbox.  The email came from 'revv.co'.

In looking around a bit, I noticed this article which might be interesting to some people.  Espeicially those with industry experiance:

https://www.indicative.com/how-the-presidential-candidates-spy-on-their-supporters/

It more-or-less matched my expectations.  Clinton, as the last best globalist technocracy candidate standing, is out in front on this sort of thing.

Actually this is quite relevant as well since it was put originally quite close to the spot (I've followed this). On the other hand, the wall guy or girl is playing games with us. He first sets walls and the bids are increased to around 7 000 btc, then suddenly pulls off 1000 btc from buy orders. I am not quite sure what he is trying to do...

I think whoever it is is trying to make a big buy-in without massive upward slippage. So they put the wall there periodically enticing someone to move coins to the exchange and dump, and remove it to avoid pushing the price up.

It's probably a large Bitcoin whale who wants to reallocate/hedge in a big way onto a different chain/project. Someone on the level of Roger Ver, or possibly literallly him (but probably not).

But the volume is huge. If you wanted to buy 7,000 BTC worth of Monero, why not just have a bot do it? If you do it correctly you won't get crazy slippage and you can start the next move up.
That said, I do hope you are right.

One way to look at this scenario, a person with a large ask wall may pull it if a counterparty gives away his/her intention to accumulate with slow nibbles and move their asks higher surmising he/she could fetch a better price, increasing the accumulator's cost

another thought, a person employing a trading bot is probably not working with insignificant amounts of capital
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: August 31, 2016, 09:56:03 PM
Network hashrate is growing. It's 28.75MH/s right now and it's new ATH.
So no more cheap moneroj.

And now 30MH/s

Does this give any insight into the "debate" about whether price drives HR or HR drives price (with mining technology remaining the same)?

Increased prices encourage a higher hash rate, higher security from higher hash rates adds some value to the chain (but at some diminishing rate)

I just flipped some coins out at 85 before it jumped up again never to go back.

I think I understand better the way people went with bitcoins. Its all lessons.

From one of my favorites,

And right here let me say one thing: After spending many years in Wall Street and after making and losing millions of dollars I want to tell you this: It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight! It is no trick at all to be right on the market. You always find lots of early bulls in bull markets and early bears in bear markets. I've known many men who were right at exactly the right time, and began buying or selling stocks when prices were at the very level, which should show the greatest profit. And their experience invariably matched mine -- that is, they made no real money out of it. Men who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon. I found it one of the hardest things to learn. But it is only after a stock operator has firmly grasped this that he can make big money.

...But to me it doesn't matter. I think Monero is still severely undervalued.

I can't post a chart right now, but XMR is looking bullish as hell ATM. We might be looking at another leg up tonight.

So hard not to buy more. Must resist. Wife would kill me. Must resist.

The networking effects from this rise... I can't even guess at it.

It's like this: I like picking winners too. Back in 2012, I may or may not have placed a bet on betsofbitco.in on Barack Obama winning the election. I wasn't rooting for the guy—it was only good for business.

^^^^^  If this were true, why would Trump spend the next 8 years vocally doubting his citizenship?

Did Trump’s involvement in the birther thing confuse you? Were you wondering how Trump could believe Obama was not a citizen? The answer is that Trump never believed anything about Obama’s place of birth. The facts were irrelevant, so he ignored them while finding a place in the hearts of conservatives. For later.

Is it Conceivable Trump is Deliberately Throwing the Election?

The decline is all based on silliness. Worse yet, it is self-imposed silliness.

Some of the things Trump has stated are so ridiculous that Brent Budowsky, columnist at The Hill asks Is Trump deliberately throwing the election to Clinton?

Why might Trump, in theory, want to lose the election?

Think about it. If a candidate genuinely wants to become president, would he repeatedly insult the giant wave of Hispanic voters? Would he insult veterans who were heroic prisoners of war by saying that he "like(s) people who weren't captured"? Would he repeatedly insult the 2008 GOP nominee and great war hero, Sen. John McCain (Ariz.)?

If a candidate actually wants to become president, would he and his advisers plan a strategy that includes praising the mass-murdering communist dictator of North Korea? Which voters did Trump believe he would win with that one?

Staffer: Keep focusing on Not Being Donald Trump. You’re so good at that. You’ve done that all your life. You could do it in your sleep. It’s what America wants from you.

Hillary: You think so?

Staffer: Think of it this way. If you asked someone, “Would you like to climb into an old scow full of garbage?” most people would say “No.” But if you say, “Would you like to be saved at any cost from the apocalyptic flood that is rising to destroy your city?” most people would say “Yes.” The trick is to focus on the second thing and not be too specific about the first thing. Okay?
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 23, 2016, 05:05:05 PM
If you have considered entering in margin long position with XMR but was not willing to take high bitcoin interest rates, now the rates have gone down a little offering very low annual bitcoin denominated cost for borrowing bitcoins for the purpose of buying bitcoins.
The annual rate is around 3-4 % only these days. Ladies and gentlemen, if you trust Monero will be higher within 1 year or so more than 3-4 % from the current levels, you might want to consider taking long positions. But be careful, make sure the estimated liquidation price is low enough so that you may not get liquadated at the bottom if there is a sharp flash crash. Therefore, buy some extra Moneros with real money, put them to margin account and start taking margin long positions. However, margin trading is risky but also if it plays right for you might be wealthy within 1 year, and the cost is only a few percentages.  Shocked

Can't lenders change rates after the lending period ends?

Looks plausible to me.

As for Megan Kelly, that incident pretty much washed her up, didn't it?

It didn't.

They aired a mutually profitable interview in May:  http://nation.foxnews.com/2016/05/16/megyn-kelly-previews-prime-time-special-interview-donald-trump

All a part of the master plan:

This guy called that interview months before it happened.
