121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is dogecoin suitable for kids? on: May 02, 2021, 06:17:50 PM
Cryptocurrency has grown so much and gradually the world have started accepting it while looking for more ways to adopt it's services, hence the reason a lot of institutional investors keeps buying and investing as they could because they believe in the future. Thus teaching your kid about crypto is never a bad thing nor is it a wrong thing, in fact it is one of the biggest investment you will do in her life, because when she starts learning at a young age, it will make her more exposed as she grows thus knowing what to do and what not to do. Hence, as a kid, starting with a small amount is a good strategy and of course suitable. Lastly, I don't think there is any risk, since she is young and wouldn't possibly start investing at that age but as she grows you need to know more about crypto and her to know the best way to advise. Also, it doesn't really matter if it's Dogecoin or others, just pick one you want and start with it.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal Experimenting with smart contract !! on: May 02, 2021, 06:08:41 PM
PayPal seeking to leverage smart contracts to make payment more efficient is a good move, but we hardly can say anything until they are serious about it because saying something is different while doing that which has been said is the main deal. However, such move by PayPal will take them forward among others and if they succeed in leveraging the Ethereum smart contracts or blockchain then it would be a big one for them, because everyone knows that when it comes to smart contracts, Ethereum is the biggest and most efficient.
Lastly, news like this are highly good for the crypto space; on one hand it helps to drive more hype, and attention while on the other side it helps to show to the world that crypto has come to stay and the best anyone can do is to get involved as quickly as possible.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to invest in BNB now? on: May 01, 2021, 07:47:25 PM
To be frank, asking when is the right time to enter a trade especially that of a good coin like BNB or ETH is hard to get the correct answer. In my opinion, if you are ready for long term, then don't bother swinging your trade thinking that the coin will dump so you can enter again, many people have been locked out of such trade wherein they end up buying higher. BNB has shown tremendous success since this year and it do not look like it's slowing down, especially now that NFT is becoming the next trend and Binance exchange is already making plans to get involved in a big way. So I would say, if you are not ready for long term then know when to take profit and leave the trade, but selling at a price and hoping to buy low might not happen.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Github activity on: May 01, 2021, 07:39:57 PM
What does github activity actually refers to? According to this- https://www.cryptomiso.com/, there are many project which have very active updates regularly in the github. Is it a good sign of having great futures? I have seen many coins which I count as shit projects are in good ranking according to the github activity.

To the best of my knowledge, when a project have an active GitHub account/profile, it shows how active they are and how serious they are taking their project's development. For me I believe that, for a project to take extra length of having an active GitHub account means they won't scam, since it shows a dedicated team. But nowadays, hardly can we see projects which have active GitHub account, many are just copycats, hyped projects and nothing more and the most reason why they dump without recovering. Also, in my understanding, yes it shows a project with a good future because once the team have get their works adequate and improved, they will last long term..
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments destroy stablecoins in the long term? on: April 30, 2021, 07:52:51 PM
The crypto space has grown so much and therefore I don't think the government will make any move to ban stablecoin, however they can only make moves to launch their own; in this space and current market value, banning will hardly work the only thing that will work is healthy competition, that is, give users or people a reason why they should use government digital currencies other than Tether and others. Also, to back this up, one of the reasons why Tether keeps leading among other stablecoins is because they have succeeded in making it easier and possible to leverage different blockchain networks to carry out transactions thus removing any limitations caused by high fees, that is to say, people want easy payment methods, easy ways to keep their funds without bothering about the government and so forth.
To cut the story short, crypto has come to stay and the government knows that, in fact they know that the world is an innovative place and thus innovations like cryptocurrencies can only keep getting better, so instead of banning or agitating why stablecoins are challenging their central banks, they will come up with their own digital currencies.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Swap eth on trust wallet for ethereum supported alts...failed? on: April 30, 2021, 07:42:56 PM
The best way to know how to help you is through knowing the error you are faced with or you are encountering, without such we can only assume what the problem is and present ideas and solutions based on that assumption. So, just to suggest, copy the transaction hash and scan on etherscan to know the error, but I guess it won't exceed insufficient gas fees. Also, just to add another suggestion, add more or send more Ethereum to the wallet and try again; to transfer ETH or ERC tokens, you will need Ethereum for gas fees. Lastly, don't try to customize the gas fee as it might result to failed transaction.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot Good For Future? on: April 30, 2021, 07:37:53 PM
Some Defi Coins play very well on crypto market. Is it good time to invest in Polkadot Coin?

If you take a careful and closer look at the crypto space nowadays, the crypto space you are seeing today is entirely different from the one people knew years ago. In other words, the crypto space has grown massively with many projects presenting ideas and different solutions to problems thus making them big competitors to those already at the top; Polkadot is one of such projects with great use case which will make it a great competitor. So to answer the question, Yes, Polkadot is a good coin to invest in and hold for long term. If not that Ethereum is a very giant platform with amazing developers, Polkadot would have given it a run for but nevertheless, investing in Polkadot is a good idea just as investing in BNB is also a good idea.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Or Invest ? on: April 29, 2021, 07:46:25 PM
When the altcoin price was experiencing a positive change I was confused ... whether to invest or trade directly ..
your advice is advice to me .. thank you

I think you are confused because you are yet to learn about trading and what it's all about as well as how to trade carefully because I doubt if experienced traders will ever be confused in their trades, which of course they took time to analyse. Nevertheless, when an altcoin price is experiencing positive change, you can either enter the trade or wait for it to retrace or correct but most times, it doesn't work for all coins, that is, there are coins which you will be waiting for it to retrace only for it to keep going higher. Therefore my own opinion is, if you are considering long term, then you can enter such trade but if you are after short term investing then you can wait patiently for an entry when it retraces.
Lastly, trading and investing are quite different, for trading you need the right knowledge while for investing, you need to understand what the coin offers and if it will last long term or not. So if you don't have the right trading knowledge, then just invest and know when to exit.
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To keep coin long term on: April 29, 2021, 07:37:43 PM
Hello community here,

I am newbie here and happy to join here.

My ask is what will be your advices about keeping a coin long term ? Which coin is worth for it?

any ideas will be appreciated.

As a newbie the first thing I would implore you to learn is the risks associated with investing in cryptocurrencies, once you are okay with it then you can take the next step of knowing how to research on projects thus knowing the one to go for and the ones to ignore. With that being said, the only way to know a worthy coin in this current market is through knowing what the utility is all about and how the team intends improving on it to make it attractive all the time, once you find this, the coin in question can be held for long term. That is to say, not all coins are worthy to be held long term. Lastly, the coins i would say are worthy for investing and are also good for long term are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin, Cake.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next 10x projects picked for 2021 on: April 28, 2021, 02:27:22 PM
Movements started in major altcoin which i suggested yesterday they all have fundamentally strong projects which is having future vision

NOTE :- Do your own research before investing this all picks are my opinions

$SC (Siacoin) :- can go up to 0.5$ old ATH 0.1$

$TRX (TRON) :- can go up to 0.5$ old ATH 0.2$

$KIN :- can go up to 0.1 $ old ATH  0.00122572 $

$Easy :- can go up to 150$ old ATH  $31.36 $

$UNI :- can go up to  200$  old ATH  35.88$

Just like you said, it's important to do your own research before investing in any cryptocurrency because there are risks which might come along the way or the market not going as projected. Looking at your list, I think I will put more interest in UNI, because with further upgrade coming up means it will grow and if gas fees are taken care of, more growth will be witnessed. Tron might be another to look into owing to the type of CEO they have but I won't place more hope on it. And lastly, I think I will need to look up KIN and EASY, to know what you saw in them.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many scammers have you funded by putting your money in? on: April 28, 2021, 02:22:30 PM
Many people have being involved in many scam projects starting from ICO days till date, at least in my own case I have involved with many as well, and the funny thing most times they come with good ideas, features and so on, all in a bid to look legit but at the end, they still scam their investors; I think I would say only a very few (maybe around 5%) are really genuine and ready to last long term. Also, nowadays, I think the best way to go about investing in new projects is doing so through top platform's, be it IDO, IFO , or IEO, in this way you are sure of not getting scammed as you can sell once listing takes place or wait till further price surge. With more growth of the crypto space comes with more scammers, so it's very important for everyone to be careful.
132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I convert bitcoin to another crypto with coinbase without any fees? on: February 10, 2021, 05:06:38 PM
Exchanges do not joke with their fees, be it withdrawal fees or trading fees, it is very important to them because that is one of things they need in order to operate effectively. Suppose you have Bitcoin and bear market enters and Bitcoin goes down, you can covert to USDC easily without any issues and of course you will be saving any further losses but it doesn't come free you will be liable to pay any trading fees set by the exchange. Also, I do not think there will be any other loss in transaction apart from the trading fees, unless you are withdrawing to a personal wallet where you will be charged withdraw fees.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In financial crash what btc will do ? on: February 10, 2021, 04:57:30 PM
You were quick to make reference to previous 2020 financial crash caused by Covid-19 wherein Bitcoin went down but was not quick as well to attest to the fact that after a while it picked up and started growing massively, you also failed to point out that it was in the same last year that it crossed its ATH, set a new one and continued in like manner till this day, what does that mean? It shows that, Bitcoin has passed the stage of crashing because of world financial problems, and that although it will be shaken as humans and emotions works closely but even at that, it will grow as well. For Bitcoin to survive this long, means it has come to stay, and although there will be hurdles on the way, it will still keep going because what it bears is highly appreciated and institutional investors are getting to understand it better.
134  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Keep bitcoin in Coinbase or move to a private wallet? on: February 10, 2021, 04:46:08 PM
I take it as you are new, however the best way you can account for your Bitcoin's security is through keeping it in your private wallet, not just anyhow private wallet, but a private wallet which will make it possible for you to control your Bitcoin, which as well will make it extremely possible for you to secure and keep track of your private keys. Any other wallet, which doesn't allow you to control your Bitcoin, or afford you the chance of having your private keys, be it exchanges or other online wallet, you should avoid it. Also, there is no advantage of keeping Bitcoin on Coinbase. In the case of fees, it is cheaper to send from personal wallet to exchanges but to withdraw from exchanges to personal wallet comes with fees, and the fees most times is also dependant on the nature of the blockchain network at that time.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I messed up and feel terrible about it on: February 09, 2021, 02:42:01 PM
You should learn to control yourself in this market especially when it comes to Bitcoin. Let me ask, what if you had slept and woke up, only to find out it has dumped badly, what would you have done, maybe hurt yourself or refuse to eat for days. The truth is, no one can predict this market therefore when you sold in profit which is the most important, then don't regret it but learn to be contented with it. No one knew it will pump like this, therefore since you had it in mind to buy back later, if you are yet to do so, then wait for market correction and do so, stop worrying too much as it will not solve anything but learn from it, maybe another time, sell a portion at a time, such that when it goes up, you won't miss out but sell again.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla buys 1.5 BILLION worth Bitcoins !! Good or Bad ? on: February 09, 2021, 02:30:39 PM
When we refer to mass adoption what were we actually referring to? what do we mean when we say so? Is mass adoption not when platforms, industries, companies and so on starts embracing Bitcoin hence using or seeing it as means of payment? If that is correct (which I think it is, in my own understanding) then I don't think there is anything to worry about in the case of market manipulation, why will you think of manipulating the market when you can use Bitcoin to buy what you want. This means that, people who have been holding Bitcoin will now learn to use it freely without worring about the government, because I believe for a company like Tesla to do so, means they did their homework and fulfilled all regulatory compliances. Therefore, in my own opinion, this is a very wonderful news for everyone in the crypto space, and this will also act as a motivation to other platforms, industries and sectors whether big or small, to embrace Bitcoin and see it as a means of payment, thus leading to more mass adoption.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I regret selling BTC for entering DeFi. HODLing is the way! on: February 09, 2021, 02:18:15 PM
According to you, you took some loses and some gains, all these are seen as experiences and lessons at least you took some gains, what if you didn't, that would have been a terrible experience in all. Also, what if you had held and the price of Bitcoin dumped while those DeFi you invested in pumps, I don't think you will say they are useless, hence I see it as experience all the same; moreover a lot of people never believed that Bitcoin would reach $47k. Nevertheless, I think what you would have done is, holding some Bitcoin no matter what because it is the best to hold at all times, while Investing some of it in other projects since you already had it in mind to do so.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serbian nationalist to be sued Over $70 Million Bitcoin Scam on: February 08, 2021, 09:20:42 AM
When you defraud people, then you should get ready for whatever that comes from it and in as much as some people will escape others might not, and from the article they actually launched a lot of Bitcoin services which were of course not existing, thus meaning they were really out to scam as much people as possible, and when such case like this happens, it is hard going scout free because lots of reports will be made against them. Also, with this level of fraud, you don't really expect the law enforcement to stay mute, they have an obligation to protect their citizens and that's what happened. Decentralization never means people should go about defrauding others, moreover some of the services they offered were not decentralized services but they collected their payment in Bitcoin so that it wouldn't be traced. In the same way, of course there are cases which are bad, at the same time, there have been reports of many of this fraudsters who defrauded people through one scheme or the other who were also arrested.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OK BITCOINERS, which one of you is this? on: February 08, 2021, 08:56:52 AM
Being a crypto trader or Investor is one thing and being a drug addict altogether is another scenario as well, what I am trying to state is that, he being a crypto trader doesn't rule out the fact that he has issues, I mean this case scenario could be a banker, a doctor or whatever and when you break the law, you dance to the tone. Therefore even if the media states that a crypto trader or investor was arrested for crime, it doesn't change anything as same will be said of other category of people; maybe he had a quite a good profit and the best way to celebrate it is by shooting, since he threatens the life of people he ought to be arrested. Lastly, the issue here is totally not crypto but the man in question, and If he comes out from this, he will learn how to celebrate success or whatever peacefully.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cz taking advantage of the Nigerian government ban on bitcoin wrongly. on: February 08, 2021, 08:29:22 AM
No exchange is safe and secure and the more people or investors starts having that idea stuck in them, the better for them as well, Binance is a good exchange no doubt but funds security should be done outside the exchange, in a wallet only you can control. Many exchanges which were hacked never expected it and I believe they must have told their users that their funds are safe just like Binance founder but when the hack took place what happened? Many even ended up dying as they couldn't withstand what was stolen. Also, in as much as the tweet might be a statement to give some sort of assurance but yet it still looks like, it was posted the wrong way. Therefore, just like you rightly stated, if you have your NGN in Binance, selling to any coin it is paired with be it Bitcoin, USDT etc and withdrawing to your personal wallet is the way to go.
