821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of all projects is worthless and not worth a cent. What do you think? on: September 20, 2019, 08:34:36 PM
You are right mate and the funny thing is, it is increasing on a daily basis. Many projects are just jumping into this space with absolutely nothing to offer other than the hype the create which of course is used to attract investors after which the project becomes worthless. Also, we should be careful of these IEOs springing up everyday as most are just pump and dump, of which only the team and exchanges enjoys; maybe a little percentage of investors.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless altcoins must remove from the whole crypto market on: September 16, 2019, 07:06:53 PM
Painful as it sounds but that's the truth. They will sweep over the crypto space with hype which might be further spiked by many "experts" and once the funds have been raised you will be surprised to see them coming up with excuses to delay listing and before you know it they will list on a bad exchange and the next thing is silence from the team. This is mostly how they operate and reason why this space is filled with many of them; however it will not be easy removing all from the market at once but you can agree with me that many are already dying off faster. Even those on good exchanges but have lacked what it takes to maintain a good volume are getting delisted, so slow and steady we will get there.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why only few projects became successful on: September 16, 2019, 06:59:27 PM
Thank you for this, most people or rather investors are yet to understand that a great project isn't one built on hype or by the recommendation of so called experts, but instead a project built by a team with vast experience in what they are offering. Thus, when this type of team comes together to build whatever they want, things will fall into place as the project will speak for itself which is backed up by its working products. In the same way, with the project being on the path to success, the community will grow tremendously while attracting the right investors.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple Round ICOs? on: September 16, 2019, 06:54:02 PM
Have you heard of ICOs with multiple rounds? Like they raise a certain amount of money now, use that money for primary aims and goals, and then a few months/years down the line (as part of their original plan) launch a second round to fund additional goals and further project development? Just wondering if this is a thing, if so please provide me with some links to projects that have done so.
Yes I have seen a few of them, according to their road map the first ICO is for starting the platform while setting things in motion such that the platform will run in accordance to the road map, then with successful results they will be able to launch another round of ICO to kick start another level of development within the platform. However, owing to the nature of most of them, some don't even last let alone running another ICO, also owing to the nature of ICOs nowadays even if they should host another, I doubt if investors will consider them as it might also look like exit scam (just saying).
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IEOs is a game for top exchanges. on: September 14, 2019, 11:56:39 PM
That's the idea; any IEO taking place on smaller exchanges, the success rate is always slim while those of top exchanges is always rewarding. IEO taking place in top exchanges is always a three way thing; that is, it benefits the team, exchange as well as the investors. The team or rather a good team who knows what they want will always go for top exchanges, the exchange on the other hand most times select only top projects which they know will attract investors while making them more popular in the world of IEOs. In addition, investors also needs profit and as such will always participate in IEOs carryout on top exchanges because profit and peace of mind is sure.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Exchanges, an end to good projects. on: September 14, 2019, 11:47:41 PM
You have said it all but sometimes the team lists their token in shit exchanges so as to exit scam later on, therefore no one can really blame them that much. Last year it was rampant, many hype projects did it ; they planned it very well that you will almost believe they will list on good exchange only to end up listing on a shit exchange where the price dropped badly and thereafter they disappeared. Furthermore, I don't think a team with the aim of building a valuable platform will ever think of listing in the shit exchange, it is all about of the plans of fraudulent team.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to new projects? on: September 13, 2019, 09:40:59 PM
What the *eck is going on? we have many good projects coming into crypto space but they mostly end up failing, too many good new projects are dying as if they are been created to just die, what do you think its killing new good projects apart from scam projects?
First they are dying because there is nothing to show for and with the nature of the crypto space now, most are on the path to closure. Secondly, they are not only created to die but to directly or indirectly enrich the team. Because, looking at it from another angle, why would a new project just fail and die without lasting or giving a good impression?; so it is evident the team are just here to make money and doesn't care what becomes of the project. From the happenings in this space, we should be extremely careful of the projects we get associated with and if there is any wrong signs sell off and move on.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why exchanges most interested to launch IEO? on: September 13, 2019, 09:33:30 PM
IEOs have been growing since its inception and owing to the profitability associated, exchanges are now promoting them on daily basis. Now this is where exchanges stands out, when iEO takes place in KuCoin or Binance etc, the return to investors or early users is always good while IEOs taking place in some other exhanges might not give a good return. Therefore, from this, it can be said that the major reason exchanges are promoting IEOs is to gain reputation especially when it's a success which then leads to growth in the long run more money for them.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO and IEO running at same time for same project on: September 13, 2019, 09:16:48 PM
With the introduction of IEO, there is a great reduction in holding ICO  by the projects.
Even though this is the situation, now a days I have observed that some projects are holding ICO as well as IEO same time. They also don't share the exact amount of funds raised
Isn't it confusing for investors? What are your thoughts? Why projects are using both methods?
I do not think this true or even possible, even if they should it will look suspicious and most people won't participate. The word ICO now give people shivers as no one wants to risk their funds again or begging the team to list so they can trade their token etc. However, what I have noticed is that new projects which were running ICO previously all switched to IEO when it was evident they are bound to fail. With this reasons, I think the ICOs might never come back and even if they do, the participation won't be much like before.
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government-issued cryptocurrencies...Are they the Future? on: September 12, 2019, 06:31:25 PM
We should know that everything created by the government needs to be under their control, so with them creating any coin it will still be centralized because they would like to monitor and control all users. So in my own opinion, I think Bitcoin will still be at an advantage over government issued coins owing to its total decentralized nature, in this case still being the future of cryptocurrencies; especially when users or people gets to know they can really own and manage their assets without the government having control over it.
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to hidden or Delete all coin in myether wallet? on: September 12, 2019, 06:24:33 PM

I used to do Air drop and bounty. Get all coins in time when the market is down. The value of all these coins lost 90% even now looking at it I do not believe it is no longer valid.
I cannot sell them because no one buys them, and its value can only be enough to transfer to exchange.
So do you have a way to hide it or delete all the coins from your wallet?
For a coin not worth anything I don't think I will spend any ETH sending it to any address just to forget it. My own advice would be to create a new ETH address and move on from there while still keeping the other in check just in case something unpredictable happens in the future. And I believe you (just like me)  have learnt your lessons so you don't get involved with worthless coins again.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why i prefer mining and investing in ICO/IEO on: September 09, 2019, 07:32:06 PM
That's your opinion and should be respected, however I prefer investing than mining owing to the cost of electricity in my location and mining equipments, so I don't think it's profitable for me. Also, when I say investing, am not referring to ICO but rather IEO in major exchanges; I prefer trying my luck in IEOs and so far have had some wins and some losses too. At least IEO in major exchanges do not come with scams, so in ramifications better for me.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops safe? on: September 08, 2019, 10:10:33 PM
The way they usually work is they give you some string and you sign it to prove you own the address.

Could a malicious air drop make a transaction sending all your BTC to them, and then you sign it, and then they broadcast it to the network?
Or is signing a message different than signing a transaction?
Airdrops are meant to be free and in no case whatsoever are you required to send anything to them. Also, when they asking for private information like signing of message which involves your keys, you need to be careful especially when they provide a link for you to access your wallet with. Most airdrops are fraudulent and one really needs to be careful with the way they go about it; the first step should be having a separate wallet for all that pertains to it.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You think ICO Investing Is Worse Than Online Gambling on: September 08, 2019, 10:02:22 PM
This can be seen in different ways, if you approach an investor who has been scammed severally by fraudulent ICOs or ICOs which didn't return any value, he will say it is worst than Online gambling. On the other hand, if you meet a gambler who has lost huge he will say it's gambling. In my own opinion, ICO investing comes with huge risks with little chance of success while being exposed to different treatments from the team while online gambling, although filled with its risk but you will actually have a say over your funds thus every loss or win is based on you.
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think advisors help new projects? on: September 08, 2019, 09:55:35 PM
Yes I do but in this case has to do with good and experienced advisors. If really the advisors has nothing to offer I don't any project team will be happy employing their services. Now talking about success, some advisors can help draw hype to a project which will of course lead to success while some will add both hype and the neccessary experience so as to ensure long term sustainability; therefore it can be seen that although advisors helps projects to be successful, it comes on different ways.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is whitepaper important in the project? on: September 07, 2019, 11:06:59 PM
Is it important to research the whitepaper in the project? then is there a right way to find out if their whitepapper is real, not fake? What do you think?
First it is very important to research the whitepaper in any project so that you will be educated on what the project is all about. In fact, it is the first thing we should ask of the project team thus knowing their level of knowledge and experience. Secondly, I don't think there is anyway to know if a whitepaper is fake unless you have gone through it and find it having somethings in common with another project; in this case you can query the team or make more research to know how legit they are.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Brandt: 99% of Altcoins Will Be Forgotten in Five Years on: September 07, 2019, 11:01:06 PM
Some of the thing he said is practically true but saying about 99% will cease to exist sounds too much for me to believe. Yes, there are many useless coins in this space and taking a good look at the crypto market it is evident more and more going down the drain while those whose developers are hungry for change are coming up in rank. I think in years to come, we will have just few altcoins in addition to BTC, which are truly useful and the crypto space itself will be filled with competition, thus keeping all project team at edge. It's time to focus on only valuable altcoins so as to partake in what the future holds.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of this Exchange jetxcoins.com on: September 07, 2019, 10:40:23 PM
Thanks for bringing this to everyone's notice. Owing to the fraudulent activities which always takes place on Telegram, I find it hard replying or giving attention to unnecessary chats, as I always "report spam" on those Accounts. Although this wasn't the exchange and format they used on me months ago, but it all points to them looking for ways to scam innocent and carefree people. Let's always learn to be contented, as someone rightly stated, it is greed that leads most people into getting scammed. Have taken note of the exchange for reference purposes.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it safe to exchange big amounts? on: September 07, 2019, 10:32:40 PM
Hey.
Is it safe to exchange big amounts on non-custodial exchangers like changelly or shapeshift, or are they designed for small transactions?
I'm a newbie and I want to know if it's safe. Also, I want to know if it's safe to exchange crypto on classical exchanges like binance.
The best advice and probably the one which will save you a lot of unforseen circumstances is by trading or exchanging your crypto assets no matter how small or big on prominent exchanges of which Binance is one of them. The reason for this is, in case of any issue you can easily access the customer care to work on your issue, and also with Binance being a major exchange they will always ensure all activities are adequately taken care of. Thus, visit Binance and exchange your assets, if you are not a kyc fan then exchange in batches less na 2btc.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung Launching a Galaxy Note 10 Crypto-Phone Edition: Sources on: September 06, 2019, 10:43:05 PM
Yes that is great, I really got to know about Whole Network crypto phone today and it is really a good step towards the right direction. With these crypto platforms as well as Samsung taking such steps it will succeed in exposing the affairs of blockchain and cryptocurrency to the world. In fact one can't be mistaken for saying that blockchain adoption is really sooner than later, because no platform want to miss out on the long run.
