361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should i Invest more??? on: November 08, 2020, 07:46:37 PM
That is really a decent profit, and it shows you know a lot about how to invest. About the projects you outlined, I don't know much about them because I have my attention on others beginning with Bitcoin and Ethereum. But however, one of the good things about old projects is that, the team have made their mark and therefore will try their best to keep improving on the project, thus this is where insolar comes to play, hence check if the use case is applicable, it might be the right choice, just take your time to know more about it before investing since you trust the team more. Some of this new projects are not always worth it.
Lastly, considering what's expected of Ethereum and its forthcoming upgrade, you can also look into it and make the best decisions.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are new to crypto this is for you on: November 08, 2020, 07:32:49 PM
This is well outlined and educational as well, but in as much as I believe newbies will find this really helpful it can also help others to achieve their aims. Starting with greed, it has dealt with a lot of people and therefore I believe that if it is curtailed appropriately, it will help the person a lot. In the case of learning before earning, I think it should be the first point however, because I also believe everything worth doing is worth learning first, as it is through this way that a person will be able to understand what to do and what's expected of him, this also encompasses knowing more about the right projects and exchanges as well. And most importantly, investing what you can afford is the right way to invest in any project because the crypto space is highly volatile.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO still standing strong as ever on: November 05, 2020, 10:53:15 PM
To be sincere, currently I do not think there is any fund raising method or model that can defeat IEO, STO which was assumed will do better ended up not meeting the expectations of everyone, I can't even name a project which had a successful STO. However, in terms of IEO, the success of the fundraising depends on the exchange supporting the IEO, and so far IEOs on top exchanges have always been successful as well as forming a good trading foundation for the project in question while those on smaller exchanges tends to struggle to meet their target where in some cases they fail. Also, IEO on top exchanges gives investors the mindset or assures them the project is a good one which then means their chances of making good profits is possible but same cannot be said about the IEO on smaller exchanges. Thus, from all angles, I can say there is no fundraising strategy that can defeat IEO and to prove this, IEO is still being used by many new projects till date.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold or Bitcoin on: November 04, 2020, 10:40:29 PM
Gold is a physical asset that is very valuable and Bitcoin is a digital asset that is also very valuable, because of that I would go for both of them, as it is more lucrative that way. Owing to the fact Gold comes with more stability I would invest a higher percentage of my money in it and the rest goes for Bitcoin. Another reason for going for both is that, holding Bitcoin comes with more opportunity for gains which is always evident during bull run, that is, those who buys Bitcoin during market dump and hold till the market grows always benefit more, therefore it can be seen that although volatility affects Bitcoin a lot, but at the long run it always brings more profit.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters on: November 04, 2020, 10:32:33 PM
Actually it will be nice but I just started thinking, that how can a project that do not know if it will succeed in achieving softcap pay hunters in stablecoins, we all know the crypto space is unpredictable where some will easily get their funds and others struggles hence only few projects can do that. Some projects did that and from studying the project it was clear it is a good one and in order to protect their token price paid in USDT, and it was not delayed unnecessarily. However, on the other hand, we have many projects whose team are after their own satisfaction and hence paying with stablecoins can never be in their agenda. Also, there are few good projects which can still pay with their token and it will be worth it.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safeguarding funds , your funds on exchanges are safe? on: November 03, 2020, 03:11:44 PM
This post is very informative and educating as well, even a newbie having gone through it can know a thing or two about safeguarding his funds and so on. I like your trading strategy and the steps you take to secure your assets, especially the aspect of withdrawing your weekly profit to your personal wallet, it shows contentment which some people lacks, that is, some people always make that mistake of either keeping funds on exchange or trading with everything both the profit and so on with the mindset of making more, more funds more gain while forgetting the market can go south. Lastly, it has been said many times that no exchange is secure no matter how big the exchange is or how secure they claim to be, Kucoin hack should have taught people great lessons by now; your personal wallet should be used all the time and not that of exchanges.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happens to those DeFi project now? on: November 03, 2020, 02:58:57 PM
Before I used to think the hype is gradually fading away, that is, there is still some hype left but after reading this, I am afraid because there seems to be no hype left again. To answer the question of what will happen to those Defi projects now, let's go down to memory lane to the era of ICOs, we saw how massive it got till it crashes, and thus exposing a lot of projects wherein a good number of them were built on hype and just few were built with good use case. Also those with good use case are still around while those built on hype are nowhere to be found; having this in mind we can relate it to the DeFi ecosystem, that is, the good ones will still stay and the scam ones will fade away. To make it more worst, once a new trend starts attention will be channelled to it thus leading to more death of some Defi projects.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for ETH on: November 02, 2020, 02:08:34 PM
BREAKING: The Reserve Bank of Australia exploring potential use of a digital currency (CBDC) that will be powered by the Ethereum blockchain!

That is really a great news both for Ethereum and the entire crypto space, who would have thought years ago that Ethereum will get to this stage of being recognised by the government, thus meaning that, it is very important to build something that will be worthwhile as time goes by, unfortunately this is what most new projects developers are yet to understand. Also, for Ethereum to get this type of recognition it means the blockchain is worth it and I wonder what those platforms that claims to beat Ethereum will do with this news. And most importantly, this year the crypto space has been gaining lots of attention, as huge organizations are now coming on board gradually, I believe there is really more to expect in the near future.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right investment for cryptocurrency... on: November 02, 2020, 01:59:11 PM
I would say before you learn, first and foremost, understand the risk associated with investing with crypto and then decide within you that you can handle the risks. Then secondly, learn how to study any potential project, how to ask the right questions to the team to ascertain their level of expertise and so on. If it's about crypto trading, then find an expert or mentor who can teach you all you need to know, then practice very well before giving it a trial. And lastly, this can be considered as the most important, invest or trade what you can afford to lose, do not be moved by what others are doing that you invest all your funds, invest yours and be contented with it.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fast food restaurants accepting crypto as payment method? on: November 01, 2020, 10:35:08 PM
I think everyone will be happy to see such developement. Considering that fast food restaurants is a growing business that one can set up in strategic places, now imagine accepting crypto as means of payment, this means that more people will be educated and hence introduced to what crypto offers and the benefits. However, on the other hand, to achieve this goal, I think Ethereum will be kind of better, since it is faster and more reliable than other altcoins, nevertheless if the idea can be adopted by fast food restaurants, they will most likely chose the coin best suited for them. Therefore, in all things, if this works out, it will set faster the crypto adoption.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Keep3r token going to be the next YFI? on: November 01, 2020, 10:24:48 PM
I think I will begin by saying that there is no one that can answer the question correctly, because no one can see the future. Now about this tokens, what is their use case that will make them worthy of your investment? On a more serious note, one person is creating two different coins, what is the motive behind it, why not continue with the first but improving on it, must there be a new one?. In my own opinion, this particular reason is a discouraging one, because I see it that, the hype has gone down from the first, he now want to create another and continue from there. Lastly, people should be careful of these tokens, as the idea might be that, since YFI was over hyped this second one might do the same, but what is the guarantee that it will?
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: October 31, 2020, 05:39:54 PM
First, I do not think being a deflationary token is enough reason to invest in any project, there have to be other good reasons which must prove why the project is worthy enough to be invested in. Although there was a time the trend or rather hype was much about deflationary tokens, because the team made it look like, by having small supply which will reduce overtime, then the price of the token will keep increasing, this idea was used to create many scam projects, until it became clear that without good use case, being a deflationary is nothing. In the same way, another purpose of having deflationary token is this, when a coin supply is much and the team aims to reduce it as time goes by, they can implement deflationary features or burn features, thus for every transaction the supply keeps reducing.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous teams on: October 31, 2020, 05:30:31 PM
I am now seeing reasons to believe that all these projects with anonymous team do not worth it at all especially in Defi, they are claiming that since their project is decentralized or is a DeFi that it is okay for the project team to hide their identity. The fact is, with their identity hidden, they can say whatever they want and do whatever they want without anyone holding them accountable, and now assuming a project team decides to exit scam, who will the users hold, no one. Yes, we can carry out our own research but there have been many projects that started well only to list on exchanges and exit scam, now assuming they are anonymous, that's it. Lastly, it is easy for scammers to hide under Defi, hide their identity, hype their project, get funds and exit scam. In addition, anyone aiming to Invest in any project with anonymous team should invest what he can afford to lose.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Even huawei refused to be left out on: October 30, 2020, 07:27:21 PM
I really like this and in my own understanding, this is just the beginning. PayPal has succeeded in opening their eyes towards the potentials of the crypto space and since new innovative technologies, ideas and solutions are what drives the world, many platforms will gradually come on board so that they will be able to offer crypto services to their users in the process not losing them to their competitors.
About Huawei, by building a wallet that will support digital yuan, I see it as a good step towards more growth hence will force other smartphone companies to take their own steps as well. In the midst of all these news, both PayPal and Huawei, what I see is platforms that are ready for the future.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why DeFi is high risk investment on: October 30, 2020, 07:13:18 PM
You are right about your observations or post. The first point about glitch in the system leading to loss of funds is becoming rampant, the team calls it bug or glitch while some people might call it hack, whatever be the case, the thing is, it is not a good thing most especially for DeFi owing to the features or benefits it is assumed to offer to investors. With this glitch becoming the order of the day will only lead to one thing which is lack of interest in Defi projects.
About high yield, that might be the only reason investors are rushing many Defi projects, now if you look closely you will realise that, because of this high yield many Defi projects are now everywhere both the ones whose developers knows what they are doing and so on, and because investors cares only about profits they don't bother studying them to know how solid they are, hence the reason for insane pump and insane dump of some of them.
Lastly, I agree with you, looking at the risks, scams, glitch and so on, it is clear the risks in Defi is higher than that of ICO.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC trading pair or USDT trading pair? on: October 30, 2020, 06:59:10 PM
This is a good question but however comes with varying answers because everyone have his own preference and reason for choosing any pair. Some people will go for BTC pair because BTC is the best coin and hence there is every opportunity that their profits from the trade will appreciate, at the same time it can also depreciate thus the reason why most people prefers USDT pair since the profit will be stable. As for me, I can use both, that is, BTC or ETH pair when the market is in a good shape, so that I can get any potential gain and USDT pair when the market is dumping so that my profit won't be affected.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Emirex delist their token after unlocking it what a joke on: October 29, 2020, 06:07:18 PM
What they stand to achieve with this, is what I can't fathom. They locked the token for a very long time, then unlocked it and also delist it from their own exchange. I think I read somewhere about swap, but why didn't they swap the token before releasing it to hunters, now they have found another reason to delay hunters from selling their tokens, it is really disheartening. Also, a new project having their own exchange without growing to gain attention first doesn't make sense to me this is because they can do whatever they want, if truly the project is worth it, and is listed on another exchange, I do not think they will be able to play their hunters this way.
Nevertheless, maybe the hunters should wait and see what will become of the delisted token and the possible way out for them.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I believe this is the way on: October 29, 2020, 05:55:45 PM
You are right but to achieve this, one need to be less greedy. Some people believes that when they hold a token that they can have an imaginary price tagged to it, that is, maybe they have seen what the team are working on and thus have the mindset that, it will pump to a certain price before they will sell. But they tend to forget that the crypto space is unpredictable, hence I agree with you, taking profit at as when due is the right way. Also, there are coins one can hold, and by looking at the partnership of the project as well as the team's vision, you can hold and wait for the next exchange it will list on and then sell off. However, everything comes down to taking profit at the right time.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most searched cryptocurrencies on Google on: October 29, 2020, 09:51:15 AM
I will start by saying that when someone hears anything about crypto the first place to go is Google. For example, educating someone about Bitcoin the first place the person will seek Information is from Google hence the reason for the major dominance above others with regards to the report. But coming down to the coinmarketcap is a different thing altogether, I will say those who uses coinmarketcap much are those with knowledge of cryptocurrencies. However, looking at the results, it is evident that people knows what they are looking for, the reason for such results is what no one can actually say, but in the case of Binance coin, maybe it is because it is an exchange coin but as for EOS to be frank I do not hold that coin in high regards because I think the team really needs to work on their platform. As for the other, that is Bitcoin Satoshi Vision, people do not know about it, what they know is BITCOIN.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you invested for Attractive projects?? on: October 29, 2020, 08:59:30 AM
What can you say makes a project attractive? In my own aspect it might be level of expertise and seriousness the team displays, in another person's aspect it might be the exchange the project is listed on and in another person's aspect, it might be the use case within the project. Each of this aspects, have something backing it up, when you talk about the seriousness of a team this will be seen in their working product and to crown it all, if the project is now listed on a good exchange. I succeeded in combining the three different cases or aspects to form what I believe is an attractive project; website or whitepaper do not constitute a good and attractive project, roadmap matters too but most team can change or even delay their roadmap at will, therefore defeating the purpose it was created. Nevertheless, about this particular project I do not know much about it and do not judge it because of location as it doesn't matter, rather judge it depending on the team's expertise, exchange and use case.
