601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: when will the alts season come? on: May 09, 2020, 05:47:32 PM
poloniex and bittrex are both silent for a long time Roll Eyes

About your title, I don't think anyone knows when altcoins season will start, we can only but trade and hold the potential coins we trust in. Secondly, about those two exchanges, while comparing few years ago to now I tend to understand your point, they were huge and widely known with most projects running after them but nowadays the circle has changed and it is now the likes of Binance, OKEx, Kucoin etc. Hence the reason it's good to embrace change and innovation.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you newbie looking for perceive income? Just be careful of AIRDROP on: May 09, 2020, 05:23:59 PM
If you are newbie and you are looking for ways of making some  Bitcoin and other altcoin, be very CAREFUL with AIRDROP campaign as many of them out there are out to scam/milk you with the little ones at your disposal. Sometimes, they are out to get your personal information like email address, etc and sell it out for money.
Some of them will tell you to send some amount of BTC or ethereum to their address as fee for you to get the aclaimed airdrop reward of which they will later run away and mute their telegram channel.

Be warn is to be armed.

The urge to get paid and sell to Eth etc, is one of the reasons why most people ends up getting scammed because they tend to throw caution to the wind. There are many dead groups on telegram of which some were created for one airdrop or the other. As to add my own opinion, newbies should be careful of airdrops that asks for private keys, ETH, or even to sign a message using private keys all in a bid to get their rewards; legit airdrops doesn't ask for these.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Never trust an ICO ranking site! on: May 08, 2020, 08:11:38 AM
I don't believe in ICO ranking sites. Most of them are paid and not real.
The more they get from the team (payment) the better the rank they will give!

What I am looking for in ICO is looking at MVP, live and working products. Something that really can make a difference. Not just empty words with fancy pictures.

As a start, ICOs are long forgotten because of their untrustworthiness where the team decides the fate of everyone which mostly ends up bad, therefore as it stands now even with MVP, I don't think there will be anyone who can afford to take that risk. Even these ranking websites aren't making it easier because there have been projects which still exit scam even when they have good ratings, that is to say there is every possiblity they collected money from these projects. Nevertheless, nowadays with or without MVP, most projects are going for IEO since it is more better both for the team and investors. In addition, although IEO offers better chances, it is still advisable to make your research about any project you have in mind to invest in.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does the ICO have a future in 2020? on: May 08, 2020, 07:25:09 AM
Good afternoon! In your opinion, how relevant is the ICO in 2020 after many projects turned out to be scammers?

There is no relevance that can be found in ICOs again both this year or the ones to come, my opinion though. My reason for saying such is that, hardly will you see an investor who have been scammed many times by these ICOs investing again not when he can still do same thing with IEO and expect a more better result. So yes, I repeat samething again, ICO is dead and totally forgotten. Not that IEO doesn't have its issues as well, but it offers better chances.
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) Coin Future Price ? on: May 07, 2020, 08:44:11 AM
Good you shared your opinion so that those who believe in the coin will re-evaluate their stands and maybe go for more, but as for me, I do not find Tron convincing for long term investment; this is just my opinion, but I must also concur that the team are working hard. My reason for different opinion is, i have my eyes on other altcoins which I find more better than Tron.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will More Countries Introduce Crypto-friendly Legislation? on: May 07, 2020, 08:32:19 AM
Yes it feels good knowing that more and more countries are coming up with lesser and friendly regulations which will accommodate crypto projects and I think this shows that, these countries are understanding that crypto is here to stay with us and will make sense they tap into its potentials early. As for other countries opening up, well, hardly can anyone say because every country have their perspectives about crypto thus we can only but hope they do it sooner than later.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO SCAM on: May 05, 2020, 06:25:22 AM
Hi, guys, I want to ask how do I avoid ICO scams...

Are there any good ICO's left? or is the market flooded with bullshit coins?

ICO? ICO is dead and long forgotten because there has not been any ICO for a long time now. During the time of ICOs there were many scams which is why IEO came and took over. Hence, if you want to participate in any fundraising method, go for IEOs and more especially, those on top exchanges as they offer a bigger chance of success. In addition, the market is flooded with bullshit coins with only few good ones therefore endeavour to make your findings about any coin as well as IEO as the case may be.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Covid-19 Question on: May 04, 2020, 06:55:35 PM
At the initial stage, it affected stock market and gradually crept into crypto which lead to a massive dump then but gradually most people got the hang of it and focused on crypto since it offers better alternatives and opportunities than stock markets. Even at that though, people are still selling their crypto to hold fiat for many other reasons. Either way we see it, it still affects everyone in one way or the other thus we can only be patient, play our own role and hope for a possible cure soonest.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will binance reach $23 as per experts prediction? on: May 04, 2020, 06:32:43 PM
It may reach and it may not that's how unpredictable this crypto space is, it is hard to predict correctly the price of any coin and Binance coin isn't an exemption. Experts or no experts, there are many things affecting the market now and this pandemic is one of them with no cure or vaccine in view. In my own opinion, invest not because someone says so or because of predictions as it can go against but do so because you believe in the coin.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to everyone today on: May 03, 2020, 06:00:35 PM
This is true and I believe many people will agree with you, and also this is already happening as banks are trying to save and cut down costs and as expected the only issue is not everyone can buy goods with crypto. So actually what I'm doing is to hold like BTC and ETH, and a small amount of USDT which can be converted to fiat; so indirectly everyone still needs the banks until there is massive adoption of cryptocurrencies.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay in waves or convert them to ethereum? on: May 03, 2020, 05:45:56 PM
This might be a tough decision on your side mostly because of the losses incurred from holding. Waves used to be a good blockchain with good flexibility but don't really know what happened that caused them to be on the decline since. To be on the safer side, not that waves is totally bad, I would say keep half of the waves and sell or convert the other to Ethereum.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: World FamilyCoin (WFC) AIRDROP on: May 02, 2020, 12:42:17 PM
It's a good start for sharing your short review about this project but don't you think it is more better if you add links to where we can read and understand what the project is all about and if it is worth it. There is no telegram group link nor website to get more information hence we don't know if it is a scam project like others or not. In case of next time, try and do the needful, provide all the neccessary links for better understanding.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in this new IEO on: May 02, 2020, 12:30:26 PM
Hello, I am new to blockchain and I stumbled on how successful Binance IEO is and the recent IEO conducted there, I witnessed how the coin price spiked after IEO. So i discovered that Latoken is about conducting an IEO. Is it a wise decision to invest?

Good you realised that Binance have had many successful IEOs which also gave good returns to investors, but same can't be said of Latoken. IEOs on Latoken are always seen as a waste of time because it doesn't end well. Also, Binance try as much as possible to list good projects for IEOs but in the case of Latoken it isn't so. Left for me, I would say overlook the IEO on Latoken and focus on IEOs on exchanges like Binance, Okex, Gate, Kucoin and Huobi.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Futures on: May 02, 2020, 12:14:49 PM
There are lots of cryptocurrencies and lots of coin but everyone can't make a future.  10 years ago bitcoin started their journey and they reached there goal!  But no other coin is  like them because they starts their journey for profit not to making them worldwide!

Bitcoin had a goal, started its journey and have achieved the set goals although there is still more to attain; reason it is always seen as the future of the crypto space. While other altcoins or maybe 90% of altcoins have no goals and objectives, they are just to be used by their team to enrich themselves and nothing more. This lack of goals has made altcoins look like they are a waste of time nor have any future but good a thing there are still some that are breaking boundaries such as ETH, BNB etc.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: May 01, 2020, 03:24:33 PM
Seek for more crypto knowledge before investing in new projects, it's not always that easy to choose, as a newbie it's better to stick with old top altcoins on coinmarketcap, why? Because many newbie are in rush to make fast returns, if you are this type pls go for better top coins, 90% of new coins aren't serious at all, they are here to steal money from investors and give fake promises in return

Newbies are safer with top altcoins until they start learning how to choose wisely, do better diggings on new project to avoid scams

Cov-19 have been used to scam many newbies and even Corona virus coins are built too which have no real use cases

Play safe and be willing to learn
When most people (especially newbies) are asked if they know anything about crypto the first thing or coin they are likely to refer to is Bitcoin, then pondering why it is so shows that, Bitcoin is the most trusted coin in the entire space; since that is true and have been proven as well for years now, I believe BITCOIN is the coin they can be safer with at the initial time. Then when they must have gotten a good knowledge of crypto they can start with altcoins with Eth being the first.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Best Exchanges for Your New Token on: May 01, 2020, 10:38:58 AM
What are the best exchanges to try and get your new token listed on? I'm talking about realistic exchanges that you actually have a chance with.

There are things to consider first;
a. Is it listing for IEO or,
b. The team already have funds maybe from private investors and is good to go for direct listing.
For the first one, that is IEO, it depends on the amount the team wishes to use for listing, top exchanges are known for charging high, therefore other exchanges such as gate or Kucoin can still be good. But if the team believes they have the amount then Binance or OKEx.
On the other hand, if the team already have the funds for direct listing, personally I think starting with exchanges such as Kucoin and gate is still better then from there, going for other top exchanges.

618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 Wallet Address on: April 29, 2020, 06:37:22 PM
Hi,
Sorry I am new to the Crypto world.
Trying to find out more details on the ERC20 Wallet Address and how Do I get one.
Is the ERC20 Wallet Address the same as the Etherium wallet address which I can get on coinbase.com?

Thanks

Welcome to the crypto world, the best wallet I can suggest for you is trust wallet, it is user-friendly and if you later want to store different coins like BTC, you can still use it. Also, since you are new, another important thing to learn is how to safeguard your private keys, mnemonic phrases etc; it goes this way for trust wallet, download the mobile app from play store, install and open it, then create a wallet and carefully write down your mnemonic phrases accordingly which you will store in a safe place only accessible by you. Then proceed to confirm the mnemonic phrases and that's it, you can copy your wallet address for your transactions.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I would like answers on that on: April 29, 2020, 06:27:35 PM
To the best of my knowledge, a team can tell an exchange to block all deposits maybe they are working on something, or could be they are improving their network, it can be for a whole lot of reasons. But however, if the deposit suspension is taking too long, then the team are in the best place to answer and clear the community on why the deposit on exchanges is suspended for long. Lastly, if they aren't giving any good answer then something suspicious is wrong.
