281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to know which crypto news will be listed? on: December 22, 2020, 09:19:01 AM
Hi everyone,

How some people know very early on what are the new crypto that will be listed on Binance, coinbase, kraken and others) ?

First, listing on an exchange and releasing the news about the listing depends on the exchange. That is, in some exchanges like Binance, a project team do not share the news about the listing first, it is left for Binance to share the news then the project team can share theirs, and this is why a project team saying they will list on Binance without Binance sharing the news first, that project in particular is questionable. On the other hand, there are other exchanges that don't mind, the project team are free to share the news of their listing on that exchange while the exchange in question will release the listing date; such as Bithumb.
From this brief, it is clear that, to know when a project will list on an exchange, the person needs to be active on Twitter and on Telegram of that project, there is no other way to know.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO 2.0 is too weak? on: December 22, 2020, 09:07:38 AM
Neo is one of the good blockchain platforms we have, but they are not always in spotlight like Ethereum. Also, I remember vividly when Neo platform was highly sought after which of course made many projects to build on it, but nowadays most of those projects if not all are no where to be found and hardly is any project leveraging the Neo platform again; maybe those projects are not solid or they find it hard growing on Neo platform. Nevertheless, I think the team within Neo should work hard on their platform to bring up to an exceptional rate such that, it can be sought after like before, this is because the crypto space is getting highly competitive and every team needs to ensure their platform keeps growing.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!!!! You BitCoin people were right. I wish I had bought back in March :( on: December 21, 2020, 08:42:13 AM
That's how the crypto space works, when the price was really down in March because of the pandemic, many were afraid to buy until it started rising, and yet many were still afraid to buy, until now, so you don't have to regret a thing but just pick yourself up and re-strategize. To say the truth, the price now is high and there should be a price correction anytime, maybe you have to wait for it; also, are you holding for long term? This will help you decide when to enter the market.
On the other hand, about the best wallet, first thing first remember to save your private keys, secondly go for hardware wallets and thirdly buy from good exchanges like Binance.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Covid effect and Crpto blessing on: December 21, 2020, 08:32:33 AM
Hi recently my family affected with covid19 and also huge inflation in my country also job losses . Worried about couple of days after i started looking into alternative income . As always crypto assets became saviour for hard time .
Thanks to bitcointalk and its communtiy . I earned some crypto in past thats helped alot for me .
It is the time i found the real potential of crypto and its communtiy .
I think it is the one of the blessing in my life to get out of my struggles .

I am really happy for you. To be frank, the crypto space really helped a lot of people during the height of the pandemic and even till now, people are still finding ways in which they can tap in to make better their lives. The fact is, the pandemic really forced many people to look for alternatives since they were not working and yet need to pay bills and all that, hence owing to the potential in the crypto space, many learnt about trading, how to research a coin and do short term holding, those who had more spare time, learnt whatever they could and hence didn't suffer much. Lastly, there are many potentials in the crypto space, just find what you are good in, learn about it and kick off with it.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Corona Virus Scams on: December 20, 2020, 03:40:26 PM
With Covid-19 still around then some of these scams and scammers will still be lurking around in different ways hence the need to educate people in any way we can. Also, I think the first step towards avoiding these scammers is through being contented, how? Scammers knows that Covid-19 has affected a lot of people negatively and hence once presented with a good offer or whatever are likely to get their victims, but if people will understand that scams can come in different dimensions hence asking questions when they are presented with such offers, then they are likely to be saved from those scammers or better still ignoring all those juicy offers they always see on Twitter or other social media channels. Lastly being inquisitive with whatever they are presented with, will also save them a lot.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not everyone will agree with Bitcoin, you should know this! on: December 20, 2020, 03:27:14 PM
Not everyone will support Bitcoin of course. We've seen such behaviour in our daily lives; just like not everyone likes you. Another example is Mark Cuban; an American billionaire entrepreneur. In 2017, he said that you should "only invest in bitcoin if you’re prepared to lose your money". We all know that bitcoin is volatile can that 'can cause' loss of your funds but... That statement is like saying you shouldn't invest in Bitcoin. Now earlier this year, in April, Cuban said that he'd “rather have bananas than bitcoin”. Now, in December, he said that his thoughts about Bitcoin hasn't changed.

He also said that "no matter how much bitcoin fans want to pretend that it's a hedge against doomsday scenarios, it is not". While researching, I learnt that one of his reasons for the hate is that he believes Bitcoin to be complex when it comes to usage. "It would have to be completely friction-free and understandable by everybody first." he said. But honestly, I don't see how Bitcoin is complex, all what we know was taught. He makes it look like you need a laptop to access / use it.

He's gone so far as talking his grandma out of it. “She was like, ‘Baby can you help me get me invested in this? Just buy me a couple of the bitcoin, and we’ll just hang on to them' ". This simply proves that some people won't just see the good in Bitcoin. So, don't talk anyone into it. I know he's not the only one who talks such about Bitcoin, but, we are not convincing anyone!

When people don't bring themselves down to learn something how will they know how it works? Yes, he doesn't know how Bitcoin works because he has failed to bring himself down to know it. Also, when people fail to read up on something, it is obvious they will have little to no knowledge about it thus saying all manner of things justify their stance; this is the case with many people out there saying whatever they want because they have failed to understand Bitcoin, hence there is no need being bothered by them. He has been saying ill about Bitcoin since and till date, it is still growing, so who is lossing and who is gaining, what about institutional investors, platforms and cooperation getting involved with Bitcoin, does it mean he knows far more than them?
To be frank, we shouldn't be bothered about talks like that, however allow them to keep seeing the growth within Bitcoin, a time will come when they will be the ones to convince themselves.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin can't be banned on: December 20, 2020, 03:10:22 PM
On a more lighter note, it is definitely impossible to ban something with great value like Bitcoin. At this current stage that a lot of people has invested in Bitcoin, believed in its technology, developed on it and thus proving that for once, payments can be done in a peer-to-peer manner, then it means that the knowledge of Bitcoin has reached far and wide hence the government can't ban it. The only pain of the government is that, they understood they can't control it because of its decentralized nature, thus what the government has done so far is creating fud but nowadays, they are relaxing their laws to suit Bitcoin in any way possible because they have lost their battle towards it. Hence in my own opinion, banning Bitcoin is not going to happen and institutional investors will only but keep coming in  because they have no choice.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Take Profits in BTC or USDT on: December 19, 2020, 08:15:11 AM
I think first, you need to decide what you want, that is, do you want to hold or do you want to trade. Taking profits in BTC might warrant you to hold it because of its valuable nature but if you are afraid of volatility, then taking profit in USDT will be best, they are just two different things. Also, talking about maximum profit, I don't think there is anything like that, because it falls on you, that is, selling to USDT will not afford you any profit because the coin is a stablecoin, but taking profit in Bitcoin will afford a good range of profit but not maximum profit because you might sell at a particular price only for it to keep growing, just like those who sold at $20k only for it to Keep growing. Therefore, I think you need to decide what you want first, but if you want to enjoy the profit then selling to Bitcoin will be the best.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: here comes the alts days? on: December 19, 2020, 07:55:25 AM
Bitcoin dominance is still much and hence just few altcoins are really enjoying the favourable market where in others, it seems users are selling theirs to participate in what the market offers, it means that, buying most altcoins now is risky unless it is the top altcoins. Also, most people keep saying altcoin season is here but looking at the market as well, it is clear enough that, just few altcoins are really enjoying the altcoin season as well, and as usual it is still the top altcoins. Hence my own opinion is, buy altcoins which are worth it such that, even if the market goes against your expectations, you can still hold unlike in some where the price will only but keep dropping. However, most importantly, invest what you can afford to spare because the market is always unpredictable.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to hold now or not? on: December 19, 2020, 07:45:44 AM
Although the whole market is red, I'm very much afraid of holding ETH now. In my opinion, ETH was fluctuated to its ATH when people were more interested investing in ICO. Nowadays ICO is almost dead. That is why it has less demand. I don't think it will get another ATH soon.
What's your thoughts on it?

First it is true that ICO is almost dead if not totally dead but a careful understanding of the Ethereum platform shows that, Ethereum do not only found its use case in ICO only there is more to that, to understand this better, take a look at what happened during the DeFi early days and is even happening till now though, that is, a lot of Defi projects were based on Ethereum blockchain, that is to show that, Ethereum blockchain offers something unique which most upcoming projects seeks for.
Furthermore, it is quite true that Ethereum might find it hard getting to its ATH, at least Bitcoin hit a new Mark, but yet Ethereum kept growing alongside Bitcoin and look at the price today. Therefore in my own opinion, in whichever project you want to invest in, make sure it offers a unique idea that will keep attracting users to it, this is what makes Ethereum the best altcoin till date.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is giving $1 Million in Bitcoin on Twitter on: December 18, 2020, 08:19:24 AM

This is really nice and a win win situation for both her and cashapp. From every look, cashapp is using their influence to reach a lot of potentials users and investors while on the other hand, it will also help grow her followers and bring more recognition to her. Also, this is a period where many platforms will spring up and others will up their games so as to leverage on the favourable market in all ways they can thus growing as well if they offer the right features.
Lastly, congratulations to those that will be choose and with this, more people who might not know about Bitcoin will be opportune to have it, and therefore building a curiosity in their minds to know more; that is to say, at the long run, more people will be joining the crypto space.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When this gonna change. What's happening with advancement? on: December 18, 2020, 08:08:49 AM
Yes the world is going digital and hence every organisation or cooperation which aims to be part of this digital world will take steps to be part of it, and I believe that one of such organisations which will surly be part of this is the banks, because they will try everything possible to make work easy for them and their customers. Thus for the banks to still paper works even till now means they have found out that, they can't do without it, no matter whatever upgrade they do, there will still be little need for paper works. Also, actually blockchain can still work so far there are developers with that idea and skills, therefore if the bank finds it convenient enough I believe they will go for it because at this era, blockchain has grown more than many can imagine and ensures a lot of transparency and reliability.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Experts...how long do you think this bullish trend will last? on: December 17, 2020, 11:08:51 AM
Many experts have been on different prices of Bitcoin before now, with their own different time frames but unfortunately none worked till recently when Bitcoin passed the $20k towards a new ATH, this shows that, predicting the price of Bitcoin is always hard and there is no expert that can give a concrete answer on how long the bullish trend will last or the price it will get to. So, you have to decide on your own what you want, hold Bitcoin or not, whatever be the reason just know there is a very big distinction between Bitcoin and other coins, one of which is, Bitcoin is the highest valuable cryptocurrency with more room for growth.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major Australian investment firm moves from gold to bitcoin on: December 17, 2020, 09:52:32 AM
This is just the beginning, in fact many cooperation will have no other choice than to find a way to leverage on what Bitcoin offers, and those who really made that choice before the massive growth of Bitcoin will be very happy now while those who doubted will be left wondering on what to do, unless they change their mindset sooner than later. I believe as time goes on, we are going to witness more of this, because from all ramifications, Bitcoin is becoming a major store of value and the government can't do anything about it other than looking for a way to adopt it.
295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touch 22000$. 🤑 what's Next? on: December 17, 2020, 08:24:22 AM
First I am very happy that Bitcoin has surprised us more than a lot of people imagined, most especially with the presence of Covid-19 yet it kept growing and look at the price today, what this means is that, Bitcoin has proven its worth and potential, hence the earlier most people get involved the better for them. Nevertheless, no one can confidently say the next move of Bitcoin therefore we can only but keep trading or keep holding as the case maybe while keeping track of the market, but it still goes to say that a price correction might occur anytime soon and with more attention will reach another ATH before the end of the year.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Senator plans to teach Congress how to use bitcoin to reduce the national debt on: December 16, 2020, 08:07:43 AM
This is positive coming from a politician because I hardly have seen any politician saying good things about Bitcoin. Even though she later did not succeed in bringing congress to understand her own point of view towards Bitcoin, it is good to know that, the knowledge and potential of Bitcoin is growing and reaching where no one thought of. Furthermore, for her to be this bold will likely make it easier for others who might have had such opinions to come out and voice their suggestions as well; the crypto space is growing everyday and the government will soon not be able to contain it.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A free land for bitcoin on: December 15, 2020, 10:05:38 AM
Is there any chance that we can find a place like Africa or island in pacific ocean to make bitcoin a totally legal currency?no shit from government.

Be it Africa or anywhere, it still belongs to a government, and since it belongs to a government, it means they can still dictate the terms and conditions on which they will probably recognise or adopt any cryptocurrencies; this is just how the government works in order to ensure they are in charge of their nations. However, I believe it is quite possible for many countries to adopt Bitcoin but it will not come easy most especially the aspect that Bitcoin is totally out of the control of anyone, Nevertheless as time goes on and many platforms keeps adopting it, the government will come to terms to look for a way to accept it.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will eat Gold’s market share, according to JPMorgan on: December 15, 2020, 09:58:50 AM
To the best of my knowledge, I think Gold is the only major asset which can challenge Bitcoin but nowadays the table has turned and Bitcoin is now challenging Gold to the extent of taking a chunk of its market share, this is a confirmation that more people are now seeing Bitcoin as a store of value despite its volatility. In addition, all these are happening this year which is as a result of the different Institutional investors and players massively going for Bitcoin because it is evident the future revolves around it. Furthermore, I believe with more adoption from all round, Bitcoin will continue soaring high while becoming more valuable as well and thus keeping gold in check.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adult companies and bitcoin? on: December 14, 2020, 11:48:00 AM
Would they have adopted Bitcoin as a payment option if it isn't worth it? I believe everyone knows the answer, hence what I see from this is value and acceptance, that is, Bitcoin is of huge value thereby it's trusted and this trust leads to it being accepted by this platform. Also, with this move by this adult platform Pornhub, shows they are freeing themselves from any form of payment restrictions thus setting the part for others to follow. What will happen to cryptocurrency is that, more audience or more people will now understand the potential it has and that is can be perfectly integrated into any business or platform thereby accommodating all users, thus a win-win for them.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early signs of crime with bitcoin. on: December 14, 2020, 11:34:37 AM
Even if there is no Bitcoin, he can still carry out the laundering maybe through other means like fiat, or even art works, so the problems is not about Bitcoin being used the problem is from the individual and I think it is time we stopped using such case scenarios to judge Bitcoin and its use. Some people uses Bitcoin to carryout money laundering and some people are still building platforms which can also leverage Bitcoin as a payment option, Institutional investors are still buying it, thus means that irrespective of what negative thing people think about Bitcoin, it is now a valuable asset. Hence my thought is, just as fiat is being used for various purposes both good and bad purposes, and ever since then have not been rejected same is also the case with Bitcoin.
