461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCNEX - "SCAM" Withdrawals are no longer available. on: August 06, 2020, 11:26:50 PM
There is no need to play around it, everyone knows that when withdrawals are suspended for a long time and no work is going on within the exchange or platform then it means only one thing, "exit scam". So in essence, the exchange has exited scam with users funds and it is sad nothing can be done about it. Behaviours like this, are what keeps dragging the crypto space behind. And lastly, I believe this will teach those who keeps assets on exchanges a lesson that, no exchange can be trusted and hence assets should be stored  outside the exchange.
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zilliqa Will Be in top 5 as per my research on: August 02, 2020, 07:53:43 PM
When we talk about people carrying out their own due diligence it is to find out what they like most in a project and hence will make them to invest and probably hold long term, I believe this post is a clear picture of it; although many will not agree nor see the need to invest in Zilliqa but you have made your own stand with it. In my own opinion, I have heard a lot about the coin but It really  didn't move me to invest because I have other coins in my portfolio which I think offers more than this one but that doesn't mean it is not good enough because the review so far all points to it being a good coin.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust USDT? on: August 02, 2020, 07:43:44 PM
USDT is a good stable coin apparently the best stablecoin but I do not trust it because of the centralized nature it has, meaning anything can happen to users funds and no questions will be asked since the team have every power to do so, it happened few weeks ago but on a different stablecoin where the user's wallet was frozen. Also, although I don't have any trust for USDT but I won't call it a scam coin, because I have not heard nor seen anyone saying he was scammed by USDT, so I would say that scam and trust are two different words and I know the one to use in regards to USDT.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 mistakes to avoid when investing in Crypto on: August 02, 2020, 07:25:22 PM
I agree with these points and it is well arranged that I think it is also suitable for everyone in this space because there are still people using wrong or rather bad exchanges, fomo etc. Also, about your number 3, I think one need to have a limit to diversification of cryptocurrencies because many of them are not good in any way, hence having a limit is a good idea so that they can be properly monitored. Lastly, the number 5 point is very important, in fact before anyone starts anything within the crypto space, learning how to safeguard the private key should come first, so that all efforts won't be in vain.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do we really need stable coin? on: August 02, 2020, 07:12:40 PM
To an extent, Yes we need them because they help in protecting funds against crypto volatility, this is the only huge usefulness they have. To show you how much they have grown because we need them, take a look at how many users that USDT have today, even to the extent that you can send USDT via three chains, ERC, Omini and TRC, all in a bid to ensure faster transactions. However, irrespective of their usefulness against crypto volatility I do not trust them so much to hold for long. Furthermore, there are still cryptocurrencies that are valuable but however, they are just few.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from centralized wallets on: August 01, 2020, 06:44:47 PM
Do you even know the difference between Centralized wallets and Dec wallets? Days back I lost my coinbase account and the team aren't helping, I'm glad I only have little Bitcoin on the account, would have been a different story if I use coinomi or atomic wallet because they give users 💯 control over their funds, private keys and recovery seed are important, always remember that

Example of Centralized wallets
1. Coinbase
2. Nexo
3. Luno
4. Xapo
5. Freewallet

Any wallets that ask you create an account with mail and password is centralized, they monitor your private keys for you, be smart

The need to keep reminding people of this can't be overemphasized because it is really important as it is a matter of money. Centralized wallets are not good forms of wallet and should not be used, no matter the advanced features within it, it should be ignored. A good type of crypto wallet are those that makes it possible for users to own and manage their private keys, thus they can import their wallet anywhere they like without issues. As for the centralized wallets, the users are always at the mercy of the developers because exit scam can easily be done, even exchanges wallets are not encouraged because they are not secured too. Lastly, some examples of good crypto wallets are Imtoken, Trust wallet, Enjin, Atomic etc.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your favourite coin and token ? on: August 01, 2020, 06:34:59 PM
what are the coins or tokens that you hold at the moment and explain why you choose that
hope this can help others in choosing what cryptocurrency is good for hold and has a bright future  ☺️ .
personally I invest in XLM and XRP , is both coin are good as a long-term investment ?

Asking about those two coins and if they are good for long term investment, I would say yes. Although XRP is centralized and thus not a favourite of many people but the coin has been around for a long time now while still looking for ways to improve, so with that, I think it is also good for long term investment. As for my own favourite coins, they are Bitcoin, Ethereum, ADA, XLM and BNB; my reason is , these coins are unique and has been improving in one way or the other, hence showing an active team, and in my own understanding, an active team matters a lot in a project as it shows that the project will keep growing thus having more value.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: August 01, 2020, 06:28:14 PM
I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin?

In very straight forward answer, altcoins worth buying are top altcoins, this is because they are those whose team looks serious, keeps looking for partners, improvements and so on. Also, although there are others which aren't among the top coins and still performing well, you can still find them if you carry out an in-depth research, but when one doesn't have the time to do such then top altcoins looks more viable. The saying that everything is a shit coin is wrong however I think the correct statement is, a good number of altcoins are shitcoins and also some altcoins with Potentials are Ethereum, Binance coin, ADA and so on.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP got 30 new WHALES!!! on: July 31, 2020, 08:40:16 PM
The same analysis or rather group of analysts who believes several/certain cryptocurrencies will grow but it turns out the other way. It is good XRP have whales, but come to think of it, which crypto doesn't have whales, but using it as a basis to say XRP will go up is what I do not agree with because many things or factors controls the market. Ripple over 1$, will be good especially for their holders but I don't think there is any assurance to that when knowing its current price, so we just have to do our things, trade etc and let the market decide, because the Crypto space itself is unpredictable.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waste to crypto? on: July 31, 2020, 08:33:22 PM
Waste to crypto? That really sounds different and unique if at all the team are willing and ever ready to see it grow; you know most team are good in writing whitepapers but when it comes to the main deal they tend to be found wanting. Nevertheless, I think it would be better you drop all neccessary information here so that everyone can easily and freely read about the project and know if actually the team are serious or not.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: July 29, 2020, 11:27:26 PM
Please there's something I really want to understand about this crypto industry because at times as a newbie in this cryptocurrency industry you might get this wrong by making more mistakes in crypto. Does crypto name really matter before it become successful?

Name do not matter, it is just a form of identification to differentiate all cryptocurrencies, reason why no two crypto can bear the same name and even the same ticker, although nowadays some crypto can have same ticker which can be as a result of the huge number of them in existence. However, on the other hand, what really matters is the idea behind that name, if the idea is good then it defines all within that crypto; thus a project or crypto needs a good use case/idea and team to become successful.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitConnect X BCCX on: July 29, 2020, 11:14:48 PM
BCCX is now listed on unnamed.exchange
https://www.unnamed.exchange/Exchange?market=BCCX_BTC

That is really funny that an exchange will even think of listing that scam token, however by doing this single act of listing a scam token then I can conclude the exchange is not a good exchange. To be frank, we need to be careful of most exchanges that lists whatever token they see that is willing to pay them thus putting their users at risk; this is even the first time I am coming across such exchange.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your fears in new cryptocurrency? on: July 26, 2020, 08:20:20 PM
In the past years in this cryptocurrency project many of has experienced had I know especially me because of some cryptocurrency project I missed to participate because of fear and doubt, as a person if you begin to look at the risk and what you have lost in the digital world you Will never get yourself involve in new crypto currency forgetting that life itself is a risk. What then is your fear in crypto?

My only fear in crypto is the team behind the project. You see, the direction a project will take and the shape it will assume depends on the team and this is also the big reason why I highly prefer already built projects to new ones. In addition, it is good to take risks but deadly to take blind and uncalculated risks which is also the reason most investors invest in a project and once listed they dump everything and then watch the project team and how they will react, thus knowing if it is to buy again or move on. Remember most projects today only pumped at the early days of listing and that's all, so knowing the type of risks to take matters a lot.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum : Its not too late on: July 26, 2020, 07:55:55 PM
Hi guys

I believe that the recent movement by Ethereum is good , because it shows the strength even though the 2.0 launch was delayed. If you missed out on buying when it was $133 ( in Jan ) its not too late - its still a great investment in my view. Obviously there will be other altcoins that COULD have a much bigger return from now , but also with much higher risk. I made a more detailed video of my thoughts here : https://youtu.be/gencUwUpwrM

That is just the whole fact, investing in altcoins which might be viewed as potential coins might be a very risky thing to do because they can not be trusted as a result of self-centred team. In the case of Ethereum, considering the fact it is the second top Cryptocurrency, I think there is not a bad time to invest; a good example is the one you highlighted wherein somepeople bought at a lower price in January and I believe most people might have thought it's too risky to buy then, but now look at the price. So I think, when someone want to take such decisions in going after a coin that has grown quite much for days, then it is better doing such with major coins.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dont sell off because of the period on: July 26, 2020, 06:18:24 PM
I beg to differ because this holding of a thing goes a long way. Now about selling off at a particular period, I support it but it depends solely on the type of coin. There are altcoins one will hold and as time goes on, instead of growing it keeps dropping and when checking the team to see what they are up to, one will see a nonchalant team, in this case, selling is quite a better option. On the other hand, a coin like Bitcoin or Ethereum, someone do not need to shake nor panic, because they are trusted. So what I am trying to point out is, there are situation one will see with some altcoins and selling seems to be the best option. There are coins today which had a good pump but are nothing today, so when you see a coin no longer going as it should, selling I think is better.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Liquid exchange token delisting on: July 25, 2020, 11:57:05 PM
It is actually good that Liquid exchange has gained the attention of Singapore authorities for it to be licensed, at least it shows that crypto is growing and most government are seeing the need to embrace it gradually. However on the delisting of those tokens, I see it that Liquid is just trying to maintain law and order with Singapore authorities and can do little or nothing in such case. But nevertheless, I do not think it will affect those token prices badly because the delisting is not due to low trading volume or whatever but due to regulations thus they can still perform well on other exchanges they might be listed on.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens? on: July 24, 2020, 10:59:48 PM
If this question is asked a hundred times the answer will still be the same, YES investing in 95% of new coins/tokens is very risky. It is not hear say but the reality of things, we watch projects brags of what they will do and how they will even challenge other projects but once they are listed all those bragging becomes nothing and fades while the team becomes less serious towards whatever they had promised to do hence dump in price. Also, nowadays I have seen a new class of crypto investors, and that is, those who only invest in a new project with the mindset of cashing out as quick as possible; you can't blame them but they are trying to be safe than sorry.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal are reportedly planning to bring crypto to it's users using Paxos. on: July 24, 2020, 10:52:53 PM
This is just the simple fact and they can't deny it for long, crypto has come to stay, crypto will keep dominating and crypto will keep challenging existing platforms and anyone not willing to leverage on its potentials will be left out. Technology evolves and platforms who are always ready for change stands better chance of growing even more than those that sticks to their old business model. Let's keep watching as things unfold but indeed it is getting interesting and for sure more platforms will soon join up or watch their competitors beat them who might have leveraged on Crypto.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Governments cannot control Bitcoin on: July 22, 2020, 11:34:52 PM
Decentralization is the word here, that is, Bitcoin is totally decentralized unlike other coins and because of that, no one can control it not even the government. But yet because they can't control it, they will only come up with strategies to restrict it but what they will need to understand is that, the crypto space has grown massively and people have developed a lot of trust for Bitcoin, it means that, no matter the regulation or whatever, people will continue using it because they are sure their funds is secured with them and can't be frozen. Lastly, the government actions can always have a telling effect (most times, might be negative) on the price of Bitcoin but not capable enough to totally restrict its growth.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Very Important Advice for Devs on: July 22, 2020, 11:23:27 PM
This is just the truth but they won't listen to the advice instead they will come up with reasons to justify their actions. Truthfully, I used to imagine how a team will strive to build a platform then list the token on exchanges which can kill it, this then makes me understand that only team with bad motives do this. Good team always try exchanges which can help their course just as they (exchanges) has helped others. Lastly, i think the notorious of the exchanges are P2PB2B, Vindax, Latoken and Dobi.
