501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xaurum RICO [OPEN] on: July 25, 2016, 04:58:25 AM
What is the physical location for inspection.
Its somewhere in Turkey now (they mentioned the city but I forgot which) but its being moved to Sweden.

Did they say when it will be moved to Sweden, and where in Sweden it will be moved to? What company in Sweden will hold the gold, and how will the dev prove he's holding gold there? Why is it being moved from Turkey to Sweden?

Oh man. please read before you ask. Loomis is based in Sweden. Its an international corporation.
Gold proof was given, you will also be granted public access to Loomis storage of Xaurum gold, when Loomis enables that technically.

Can you share a link to the proof of gold? And information  on the Loomis access? I really want to invest in XAUR but find it suspicious that it's so difficult to find proof on how to get this physical gold

Here you are:
Nadir confirmation on gold purchase: https://www.facebook.com/xaurumofficial/photos/a.797370633733102.1073741828.797065590430273/820987751371390/?type=3&theater
Loomis announcement: www.facebook.com/xaurumofficial/ and scroll down to find it in the posts.

Thanks, I'll take it with a grain of salt as this still isn't 100% proof of legitimacy.  Yet even if I wanted to participate, YoBit is holding my XAU hostage and preventing any withdraws from their site.  This is completely unfair, and they know what's going on.  Does the XAUR team know about this?  How is the everyday investor supposed to join this project if they throw their money away towards an exchange that holds its user's money until a swap/pump/etc. is over? Complete b.s. if you ask me...

What are you an idiot? If I was in your shoes, I would withdraw my winnings and gamble in a reputed website not a faucet! Look at their burning house edge! Why do you waste your time playing there?
i guess he's just gamble with his faucet amount, so he just tried his luck by hunting jackpot. Even if you're gamble in reputed gambling sites, it's doesn't mean you'll win, because it's all depends with your luck too.
Yeah and it's way better to just gamble faucet amounts instead of dumping real money into the casinos.   At least your losses aren't that big and the only thing you lose is your time.

...unrelated, but are you the same 'ThePharmacist' from 420chan?  Please tell me it's true..  Shocked (I went by a different name there btw, if it is you)

Mhmm...a 'reputed' bitcoin gambling site, eh?  Please do advertise your site for us, and we'll gauge how 'provably fair' it is...  Roll Eyes

(i'm not taking sides here, for freebtc or any other site - merely stating that nobody can 'provably' prove their...provability.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of STEEM? on: July 25, 2016, 03:31:02 AM
As evident by the massive spam and only pro-steemit articles being paid, as well as the notion of decentralization being false, I do not think steem is worth a fraction of the hype/money it has received.
505  Economy / Services / Re: In search of a cheap RDP on: July 24, 2016, 08:35:39 PM
I am un uploader and need it for fast download and upload of files.

What kind of files are you going to download/upload and where?

Why are you asking this much ? What kind of files and where is my private business (it's not porn in any case). I provided enough info already

Because criminal liability (in case you do something illegal) will be on the provider of the service, not on you. Get it?

Dude every type of storage hosting has this in their TOS, but no one asks uploader exactly what they'll be using the service for

LOL wut? File type doesn't matter, he just wants storage space and quick transmission...

510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tubecoin (Tube) Low Coin Supply 125% POS on: July 24, 2016, 07:02:55 PM
Hey,

I'm trying to access my node remotely, but don't know much about the whole process (as you can tell by my earlier posts Tongue) Can anyone give me some commands to see if it's up and running? & any other administrative commands that would be useful/interesting?
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit how can this retarded shit be workable long term? on: July 24, 2016, 12:44:39 AM
Thank you for helping set the record straight with your ninja edit.

Dan, perhaps you might want to read my edits again, to be sure you still agree they are accurate.

I see you failed to note the words "may be" and "i can not confirm if this is real or fake" that is in what you quoted before any edit was made. Disingenuous is your desperate trolling tactic.

Edit: there is some more discussion at the Bitshares forum:

So it looks like the STEEM hack might be worse than thought. The site has been read-only all morning and has been completely down for the last hour. Last I read regarding the hack was from @ash about 8 hours ago saying that the attacker is continuing to milk accounts.

Since Steemit is obviously down right now, I figured I'd bring the discussion over here. Anyone have a clue what the hell's going on?

Their centralized wallet got hacked after all this advertisement of advantages of decentralized blockchain. LMAO!

The principal risk remains, however. If someone manages to sneak some JavaScript code into the site, then your keys will be compromised.

This last comment is true that if you are using a website wallet, you really are using a centralized wallet regardless if the private key is only stored on a paper wallet.

Also I am LMAO that Streemit is apparently using PHP server-side, the same insecure language Mark Karpeles used for Mt. Gox.

And more people are starting to realize this is a corporate controlled block chain:

Quote
Steemit needs more decentralisation and open communication. At this point it is basically a centralized service that uses a blockchain to attract people in this space by pretending to be decentralized.

As soon as steemit.com is down, nobody knows whats going on. The steemit organization still has full control over the blockchain, as we saw yesterday they can simply do a hardfork without asking anybody.

Steemit.com is not decentralised. It is only a gateway GUI to the Steem protocol. You can open your own gateway competing with Steemit. Right now the only alternative is using the command line to interact with the protocol. But normal users would hate to interact with the command line. Also it is nice for new users to get a gift of a few SP when using Steemit.com for signing up.

In the future I guess some people will fork Steemit and customize their own thing.

The block chain isn't necessarily decentralized either, because it is DPoS. At least the checkpoints have to be centralized.

Glad to see not all of us have the wool pulled over our eyes here...still can't believe all the hype this has been getting, it's ridiculous.  But, you know what they say...the harder they fall...(users whom invested, obviously...not the 'devs' who make off like bandits)
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PIO]PIONEERSHARES|MULTI PLATFORM BACKED COIN|PROFITSHARE| ICO ROUND TWO - CHIP on: July 23, 2016, 11:21:48 PM
NOOOOOOOOOO

Been having really bad luck, missing all these deadlines  Angry

I don't know how I feel about buying in with CHIP so someone can exit with a profit, only to risk it on an unknown ICO...the whole 'shares calculated at the end of funding' idea hasn't worked out in the past for me.

Can someone explain how this 'CHIP pegged @ 300 sat' works?  What is this in regards to (seeing as the price on exchange can't be fixed)
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][RMC]Ride My Car / Ride Share / proof of journey / on: July 23, 2016, 11:08:33 PM
Been waiting for an UBER-killer, finally someone got the ball rolling...

...but...Ride My Car?  Since this is a Pre-ANN, we should try and come up with a better name for this...no offense, it just sounds horribly tacky.  Regardless, good luck - I'll be watching this to see how it progresses Smiley
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]✴ AurumCoin AU ✴ SHA256 ANDROID WALLET ✴2014-2016✴ ██Cryptopia Exchange██ on: July 23, 2016, 07:45:21 PM
So what's the difference between AU and XAU (which is apparently swapping to XAUR)?  All three of which supposedly can convert into gold - has anyone actually seen this 'gold' or is the team behind this just dumping the coin and walking with the BTC they gain?
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ======[ANN][WOW]====WOW COIN X11 POS/POW on: July 23, 2016, 07:43:36 PM
So this is an infected wallet?  What's the purpose of the virus/trojan/backdoor/logger? Any info on what this scam dev is attempting?
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: July 23, 2016, 07:07:30 PM
A coin may survive much more than a longer than expected period with no updates. People may give up as fast as they come back. Who holds longer wins. If you do what all the others do, you will not succeed.

Beautifully said - never letting go of my ESP.  Coins have gone years then made huge turnarounds, and I believe 100% this will do the same  Smiley
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ARDR][NO ICO] Ardor, or Nxt 2.0, a Scalable Child Chain Platform on: July 23, 2016, 07:33:56 AM
Is there a way to verify that a snapshot of our nxt accounts have been taken?
Click a node with OpenAPI on http://www.peerexplorer.com/nodes, and click Open Wallet GUI, Returning user, and enter you NXT address (not your passphrase). Then click on Ardor Distribution Status.

Thank you for the help!  Much appreciated Smiley  But why is my current balance only .08% of my expected balance?  Can anyone explain this?
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Mentrio | XMT | Crowdfund | Intellectual Property Management Framework on: July 23, 2016, 07:32:11 AM
Real proof of scamming by Frostynug. See picture.
You can delete this as many times as you  want, I WILL! keep reposting it!

What are you trying to say here?  Please explain - I'm curious about this, and surprised this is going ignored...
519  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coindesk banned this post two times on: July 23, 2016, 07:23:48 AM
I've also heard that bitcointalk censors certain posts regarding ethereum & its devs, so I wouldn't be surprised if having a couple million dollars from a shady ICO allows you to control the presses (to appear less shady)!
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin To invest? on: July 23, 2016, 07:17:05 AM

Steem
Ethereum
Lisk

All three coins have already passed their introductory launch pumps, and 'investing' now would only cause you to lose money.

STEEM blog link spam will be the new scourge of this forum

already hating steem - can't wait for all of its users (non-stop 'blogging' which amounts to nothing more than steemit circlejerks in an attempt to win the dev's money) to get shafted like all the other recent shaftings Smiley
