Keep up the great work Cheesy
782  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] BTCDice.com - The Best Bitcoin Game in the World! - Better Payouts on: October 20, 2012, 09:13:20 AM
I was using bitcoind to send directly to the address.  I can't verify all of the games until more than 24 hours has passed, since the site uses the time of processing to choose the secret used (which it shouldn't, it should use the time recorded in the block chain for the transaction).

I don't know what you mean by "independent," I lost 21 games consecutively.  If we round the <32k game to 50% chance of winning, it's like a coin flip, where the chance of flipping heads is 1/2^1, or 1/2.  The chance of flipping 2 heads in a row is 1/2^2, or 1/4.  That would make my run of 21 losses about a 1/2^21 chance, or 1/2097152.

red flag

The site operator can easily delay processing transactions  until the current time generates a losing secret.
Please use the blockchain timestamp.

None of transactions were delayed. I have two way of processing on transaction, either live transaction or re-queue (during heavy load, or follow downtime), both of which use timestamp for the day that bet was processed. Edit to make clear: ("processed" meaning, when TX was broadcast through bitcoin on server)

Individual timestamp does not matter, only the day of timestamp. Does not matter if transaction occur at 23:59:59 on 2012/19/10 or at 00:00:01 on 2012/19/10, it will use same secret.

You can verify transaction yourself once secret is revealed.

If you claim this is red flag on me, you claim it is red flag on Satoshidice too, because Satoshidice works same way.

Thank you for clarifying that, that was my only concern.
I am further impressed you use the bitcoin time stamp to process the tx against the secret used at the time the bet was placed for delayed bets.
Very very good work.

Just launched https://btc-lotto.com   (same concept, same operators as https://dvc-lotto.com  only difference is the currency)

Good work, as said previously I like to monitor raffles and lotteries for a few weeks before adding Smiley
Please give me a nudge if I forget to revisit your site.

Updated Dragons Tale listing.

Updated notes about BTCDice......

785  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] SatoshiRoulette.com on: October 20, 2012, 02:14:31 AM
We have started our affiliates program.

If you have a game, do not mind some mutually beneficial advertising and have been vetted by mem's list or the general community.
We would love to advertise place your site in our affiliates link section.

Our first site added is BTCMultiplier, we really like his new games concept.

Hi cool idea, consider adding non gambling sites services such as:

Bitcoin Faucet, BTC-e, MTGox, Bitcointalk.org, reddit/r/bitcoin ?
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SRoulette posting PMs in a locked thread. Dishonest person. on: October 19, 2012, 05:57:43 PM
Whats the problem when this was recognizable as a joke? When you dont read it or dont think its funny its your thing. But you didnt get harmed or something. So i wonder what your interest is in here.

And speaking agains wikileaks... that only show that they are idealists with a backbone.

The issue is he took a private conversation and then responded publicly in a locked thread.

He is the one who is making the issue here in public, he wanted the drama.

Oh so you are embarrassed by your own actions hence the hissy fit ?
That is understandable, any decent person would be ashamed of your behaviour.

should not trust someone who thinks being dishonest is funny.

And what of someone who thinks being funny is dishonest?  It's too obvious to be deceitful.

On the other hand posting private PMS publicly is poor form if it's true.

Agreed, but I can understand the motive - if Chaang is really that abusive and threatening in pm he needed to be outed and I applaud them for calling him on his childish tantrum if not for the manner in which they did it.

The original thread and chaangs reaction is simply crazy - only an unhinged person (or a person with an agenda which I suspect is the real case here) would make such a leap from obvious joke to character accusations, it really is revolting to see.

I hope this does not discourage them - still if a troll like chaang could then you should not be running a business i guess.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A formal appology from SRoulette on: October 19, 2012, 05:49:40 PM
Honestly I dont understand why you need to post an apology thread. Its not like anyone would base a financial decision on that poll  Cheesy

He was being provocative. It was clearly unnecessary.

No Chaang, You were being a slanderous dick. It was clearly unnecessary, you start your fires you put them out like a big boy ok ?
Dont run around screaming false accusations because your feelings were somehow hurt.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SRoulette posting PMs in a locked thread. Dishonest person. on: October 19, 2012, 05:41:55 PM
After reading the thread you posted (any accusations of dishonesty directed at gambling operators concern me) I can only assume you have no sense of humour and are just a liar and an unpleasant and bitter dick head.

Stop crying wolf please, the grown ups are trying to gamble.
789  Economy / Gambling / Re: mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST on: October 19, 2012, 10:31:09 AM
Please add BitDraw to your Lotteries and Raffles list.

Thanks!

The site design is nice Smiley
May I suggest generating your result in a verifiable way.

Do you have an announcement thread ?

I like to see a bit of play history on lotto sites before moving them out of pending.
790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thoughts on mid term gain Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: October 12, 2012, 01:23:38 PM
There is nothing better than Bitcoin.

Yes there is, in that there's an algorithm that requires 128 kb of fast memory per circuit as opposed to 0 kb of memory for SHA256.  128 kb of cache (or RAM) is not free and takes up a fair amount of die space.  Additionally, GPUs already have absurdly fast RAM onboard.  So instead of a 100x efficiency enhancement for ASICs, we may only see a 2x-10x gain along with higher production values.

In short the gains that will be made with ASIC are likely to be only similar to those made for BTC with FPGAs, which certainly did not stop people from GPU mining.  BTC ASICs will be the death of GPU mining.  Because product cycles are so outrageously quick for GPUs as well, it will be difficult for ASIC manufacturers to keep up.

Just pure speculation here, but it is a thought I keep having.

AMD already advertise the 7970 as the most "versatile" GPU and I think they enjoyed the drastically increased sales that bitcoin mining farms created.
While as a company they might not endorse bitcoin, I cant see them ignoring us as a potential market.
If they take even more than a passing interest in catering a bit more specifically to bitcoin by adding hashing cores / other to their GPU's Id consider it to be the death of all low level competitors asic/fpga/other.

I think it would be good thing as well, better availability, reliable company, no warranty issues etc etc and they remain a multipurpose device.
The next few generation of gpu's will be very interesting.

Note taken  Wink

We'd like to submit our entry for consideration:

CASINO:
Site - Key - Min Cash In - Min Cash Out - Games - Min Bet - Max Bet - Comments -
BTC MultiplierKissGrin฿0.01฿0.00000001Sic Bo n-Combo฿0.01
฿5.0000
Instant payouts.
Admin is a forum member.

Thanks mem for this list, it really is a great service.

Thanks for making life easier for me Wink

I like how you added  Kiss but I think you have already earned it.
I had a quick glance at how to verify results, it seems like everything is there but I was unable to grasp how to verify (but alas I am very tired right now).
I'll take another stab at it tomorrow.

I think I like this game, its a weird (but good) combination of Sic Bo and Keno Cheesy

Some feedback:

* Site looks great.
* You should advertise that every bet gets a payout (people like that instant confirmation via their wallet, its lazy Smiley ).

In case anyone is wondering why the word ignore is highlighted in yellow next to smoothie's name it is because nobody cares what he has to say -- he is the third most ignored person on this forum.

Damn you smoothie, I have a long way to go to reach your level.
