been using this miner since its release no issues so far and it has improved drastically with the updates thanks dev Which update? last update was December 07, 2016 Seems like dev has abandoned this awesome miner. The ORIGINAL RELEASE was December 7, 2016. Updates happened for some months after that, well into the summer or early fall - but the dev does seem to have disappeared at some point this fall.

Any reason to use this over dstm miner which is faster?
I use dstm, but I prefer EWBF's readout much more. I agree, but performance over swag 24/7. then use dstm's miner, its a little better and is supported and still developed, ewbf bailed on his miner months ago and is just getting free money from you fools that still use ewbfs miner, stop saying its good, if it was good it would still be getting updated by its dev

The only fool here seems to be you, who never figured out how to disable dev's fee. Many people complain about DSTM's stability and until he optimizes his miner to EWBF's level I stay with EWBF (even though DSTM gives me slightly high hashrate than EWBF I lose more money on rigs restart due to crashes while EWBF is stable for weeks if not months). "if it was good it would still be getting updated by its dev" - ok then if bitcoin blockchain was any good Satoshi wouldn't have bailed in 2011 and would keep updating the code.

Could some of you guys check your devfee stats
The other day I ran 2 of my rigs about 35 minutes each and they produced this:
rig 1: 26 dev fee shares - 100 accepted shares rig 2: 37 dev fee shares - 116 accepted shares
That is much more than 2%.
Hopefully there is a genuine explanation in there somewhere.
I sent EWBF an email and received no response.

Version 0.3.4b.EWBF's Zcash cuda miner. Expected speeds 500 sols/s gtx 1080, 444 sols/s gtx1070. 300 gtx1060 6G. Stock settings. Writen for pascal gpus but works on cards with at least 1Gb memory, and Compute Capability 2 and higher. Miner contain dev fee 2%. Sorry for my bad english Version 0.3.4bA slightly improved speed of about 2% Added option --intensity, sets maximum intensity. Added support for configuration files. Added option --config, sets the name of the config file. Added support for failover servers, through config files. Added new values to the api method getstat. Added http api you can use http://127.0.0.1:42000/getstat address to get statistics. Added simple web page with statistics, simply open the api address in the web browser. (Experemental) Fixed couple of bugs. Version 0.3.3bAdded option --pec power efficiency calculator. Added option --fee developer fee control. Use miner --help command for more information. FAQ:Q: How to select a GPU that will be used by a miner A: Use option --cuda_devices 0 1 2 digits is id of the devices which will be used. Q: How intensity works? A: The miner uses adaptive intensity and tries to use the maximum intensity value, with the help of the --intensity option you can set a limit on the maximum intensity, this will slightly reduce gpu usage and performance. Allowed values 1 - 64. You can set different values for each cards --intensity 64 64 64 64 Q: How to use config? A: You can run the miner like all previous versions with command line arguments, in this case the config file will be ignored. If you sets the --config argument, the specified config file will be used, all other command line arguments will be ignored. If you run a miner without command line arguments, the miner will try to use the default config file miner.cfg. Q: How to use failover servers A: This feature works only with config files, see config examples, supplied with the miner. I have AN (not the) explanation but I'm not sure if it is the right one and applies to EWBF. I just extrapolate it from Claymore's miner for which similar things have been discussed numerous times and the dev explained them: For Claymore: it was notice by some that during dev fee mining dev received many more shares than during normal mining. The reason is that dev doesn't always mine on the same pool as you do and difficulty may be different (low), therefore dev will receive more shares but they will be worth less. Basically you don't need to worry how many shares you or him received, only mining time matters. For EWBF it may be the same, but I guess we will never know, as EWBF abandoned the project (that's why you will never receive a reply on your email); also there is very limited documentation available on EWBF and of course it's a closed source. So if I were you I would just ignore it as long as you are getting predicted number (or close to it) of coins in the long run. Edit: It kinda makes sense for dev to mine low difficulty shares as he only has 30-60 sec every 1h. If he were to mine high difficulty shares - he would get nothing in 30 sec and would stay without pay.

Seems like GPU0 couldnt give more sols ever. Out of my 9x1070s, 8 gives more sols. No matter how intense I OC the cards GPU0 stays the same. Weird. In other algos, it is great so you can rule of defective card or risers.

Hello guys. Any of you who have gotten the --intensity setting working? If I set it to 1 the cpu will be around 95% and thats the lowest it'll go no matter what number from 1 - 64 I use.. Anybody else experiencing this?

This is something i noticed when windows defender suddenly flagged an older version of this miner app on one of my miners. After this detection; on every copy I have of it; it doesn't even run anymore; it crashes. This behavior; made me not want to use this miner anymore. I have yet to try it again since. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Strange bug under Linux after update -- "ERROR: Cannot connect to the pool" Nping works fine: SENT (0.0198s) Starting TCP Handshake > 188.165.195.21:3333 RCVD (0.1371s) Handshake with 188.165.195.21:3333 completed
Strace: connect(6, {sa_family=AF_INET, sin_port=htons(3333), sin_addr=inet_addr("188.165.195.21")}, 16) = -1 EINPROGRESS (Operation now in progress) write(1, "\33[31mERROR: Cannot connect to th"..., 43ERROR: Cannot connect to the pool
I'm guessing EWBF doesn't know how to TCP correctly.
Switched to dstm's miner. Will not be returning to EWBF.

Thanks for the miner! Looking for some help with these questions:
1) How do I create my username & password? Do I need to define this on a pool or is it something that I create myself? 2) Can I add my ZEC address from an exchange? 3) What is the starting command for linux?
System: Ubuntu 16.04 GPU - GTX 1070

Found it:
1) How do I create my username & password? Do I need to define this on a pool or is it something that I create myself?
No - this is just the wallet address, password is not used, so just enter x
2) Can I add my ZEC address from an exchange?
Yes
3) What is the starting command for linux?
Example: ./miner --server eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 --user t1NF6yLUxAAttibU8mzfX86o8aWLcqF38DX.rig1 --pass x --port 3333 --cuda_devices 0 1 2 3

You would be better off replacing that junk Windows Defender thing with a REAL anti-virus program. It does NOT keep you safe, and it is NOTORIOUS for how often it "false flags" legitimate programs for no reason.

I'm not saying it's crap over JUST the false positives - though it is FAR WORSE on those in general than any of the other major anti-virus venders. It also offers the LEAST PROTECTION by a wide margin in EVERY COMPARATIVE TEST it has had done against ANY of the other major anti-virus products, even the FREE ones.
