I think the Nuggets will be the next team to enter the NBA finals if they will remain healthy throughout the season, they cannot spoil this one because such kinds of season performances cannot be assumed to be the same next year, they really need to do something this year to stop their traditional playoff knockouts.

They could, but so the other teams in the west. There are lots of strong teams right now in the west it is hard to predict who will win the WCF. They have the right roster though and with luck they might get to the finals. We will see, we will see what happens after the trade deadline since some teams get boosted with a good trade during that time. Maybe the Nuggets can still get a good trade and boost their roster to win the WCF.

This parlay is so close, 2-1 the Final Score. Only the Lakers lost in this parlay. The Sacramento Kings beat the San Antonio Spurs with a landslide victory where the Kings is up with 13 points. In the game between Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic, Nikola Jokic is the reason why the Nuggets won. His clutch 3 points play save them to OT. A lot of people have hype when they saw the highlights of Jokic earlier this morning. It only prove him he deserve the title of MVP of the NBA. In the 3rd match, Lakers lost in 76ers with only 1 point. I thought that the lakers has a momentum but their lineup right now is not healthy as before.

Yeah, I almost got it. It is devastating to lose the parlay like how I lost it. I was not able to watch the game because I was busy but when I checked the results, it was wow. Just one point. Will watch the replay later. I believe the Lakers can win at home even though the bookies see them as underdog. And they almost did. Maybe I will have a better luck next time.

I'm sorry to say but I don't think there is such loyalty with this teams. I mean even if Dame wanted to stay, but if the management decided to ship him out, he can't do anything about it. Only few players remain loyal to their team and retired with them but they bring championship to that franchise. If Dame can't do it, then obviously management will have to go to rebuilding phase. And when you are out of your prime, then most likely the team will not value you anymore, just saying.

Well, Dame has been vocal about his commitment and loyalty to the team so it will all depend on the management. He still has a contract up to Season 2024 so he is guaranteed to be paid until then. If Dame wants to chase a ring, he should go somewhere else. Since CJ was shipped out, he has no help anymore to make a title run in Portland. He is aging and soon his value will drop. If he cannot bring a ring to Portland because of the lack of support from management, he should get it somewhere else.

I can't believe, Clarkson is again playing like an all star, he scored 38 points against the 76ers. But it's just unfortunate that they lose the game, but it's a 1 point lose only. The level of accuracy and the high level of confidence, that's what Clarkson is now, I believe the management are really pressured because they cannot give the demand of Clarkson, but they want him to stay.

Clarkson really wanted to win this match. It's unbelievable to score 38 points. It would certainly be beneficial for the team if a player with such talent and scoring so many points stays in the team. But it is very important that this performance is consistent and that it contributes to the team in a similar way in every match. It was a sad loss for the Utah Jazz, they lost the game by only 1 point
What a great performance Clarkson put on in his last game. I was surprised with his performance and it's clear that I have no doubts that he intends to become an allstar.
I confess that I was kinda sad with the defeat of the Jazz in the last game with only 1 point, but the Philadelphia 76ers stood out and managed to win the match.
I'll be curious to see if this great performance from Clarkson will hold up... he's been playing very well in a few games lately.

Aside from some moments when he is squaring up some players, I think he is performing consistently this year. I think all players wanted to be included in all-star list and Clarkson definitely wants to be included. But it will all depend on the votes. So if you want to see him play in all star, you should vote for him.

I've read that it was an official cheat and Perfect World has also sent the accusation to Valve for which the action will be heavier and taken more seriously.
They're never scared of the sanction and it will cost them their entire career. I can remember the Malaysian team(arrow gaming) and players that have been involved in a match-fixing. They were very promising during that time but ended up too soon when they got involved in the issue and now, they can just join those mini tournaments that are not managed by Valve and other big organizers.
That is some serious stuff. Thank you @ralle14 & passwordnow for the info on this news on the DOTA2 match fixing accusation on team knights.
Just hope all who bet on PSG-LGD got their betslips refunded or void from their accas.
No problem.  Wink
I've just thought that it may not be refunded for some since it's likely that the winning might already be sent and spent by those who have received it.
But it should have been voided earlier in the first place if there are bookies that are aware of it but I guess, they can't adjust too quick when it's on the process and investigation on it.

I am not aware of the cheating but if the dispute was filed after the game, then bookies have no control over it. Normally, online bookies instantly send payments to the winners so even if PSG filed a complaint and proved, the payment was already paid. I do not think the bookies will return any money. It is what it is for now. Let's hope there is no more cheating done. There is so many cheatings done this season. This season even opened with a series of bans.

What the hell happened to Bay Area Dragons? I'm expecting a close Game 7 series after their Game 6 win performance.

That is also what I am asking myself while watching the game. It is like I am watching a different team. Their outside shooting was off, they cannot penetrate the paint and even their free throw shooting was absent. I do not know if they are intimidated by the huge crowd cheering for Ginebra but their performance really took a steep decline from what we usually see. One thing I know, Ginebra is really going for the win. They are active at both ends of the court and they are relentless in their defense against the dragons.

Congratulations to Ginebra and their backers!!!

I agree that he deserves a better pay with the way he's playing now. The question is how much is his desired range? He's probably asking a franchise player level kind of deal that's why Jazz management couldn't give it to him.

Right now, the Jazz can only offer up to $16 Million for a contract extension. With the way Jordan Clarkson is performing right now, he deserves above $20 Million for the first year. The Jazz cannot legally offer that because of NBA restrictions on extensions. I think he will wait until the off season and then he can legally negotiate a higher price, whether it will be with the Jazz or another team. And if that does not pan out or no offers came, he can always pick up his player options for the 2023-2024 season.

....Jazz will miss the opportunity to have a player that will make the team better if they will let go of Clarkson,
Clarkson is good and their current best player but he is not some generational talent that would make Jazz management keep him until he retires or build a team around. Donovan is still better and would have been that "franchise player" for them but they still traded him.

Since they are rebuilding, the Jazz probably will get their franchise player from draft picks and will need Jordan Clarkson as a veteran that will guide or mentor the young superstars.

And I think Dame + Lebron might be a good combo.

Looks good on paper. That would be Dame + AD + Lebron. Dame is the outside shooter that the Lakers need. He would complement very well how AD and Lebron play. The only problem I see here is that these 3 will eat a big chunk of their salary cap. They will have the same problem that they have now. There is no budget left to get good role players that they need to support these 3. They will end up getting aging veterans to fill up their roster. But knowing the Lakers, if given the chance, they will push through in getting these trio together.

6th place to 13th place doesn't have much difference and could be changed but I agree with you. With David less Lakers, it won't be easy to climb to the 8th spot. If Anthony Davis will always be like this, it is not far from happening that he will be like others who lose their shine because of injury.

They don't need to climb to the 8th spot. They just need to qualify for playin and force their way into the playoffs. This is possible if AD is healthy since the standing is very closely knit together. I think that is the only way they can make it to the playoffs. Anyway, even if they qualify, there is no way they are beating the top teams in the west. Not with this current roster.

The 1.4 odds from Rollbit is very low. What's the solution? Bet against it Cheesy.

It's only a small amount that I put my bet with but that will make me more enjoyable to watch especially that I'm against the herd. For sure, most of the PH people will go for Ginebra to win the title but I still believe that the record of Powell in this conference will not end up with a loss. His undefeated record and the fact that Ginebra can't stop him is the reason why I put my bet to them. Well, the game will happen after 1 hour so lets just enjoy watching.

If you want better odds, do not bet on money line. Bet on over/under or spread, it will give you better odds than betting on straight money line. Rely on previous games on betting over/under to be sure which line to take.

This game is so much hype. Just the introduction of the first five have good production. I am sure we will watch a thrilling game tonight.

To all bettor, whether its for BAD or Gins, good luck!!!

As for ZywOo and S1mple, it's pretty understandable why HLTV opted for S1mple. The guy has been consistent for years, and even though his team is not performing that well as of late, he still managed to post high ratings albeit being on the losing side for many tournaments.

Their team did start strong early last year. They had good finishes in some tournaments, and they remained favorites even in the latter tournament of 2022. S1mple was fragging consistently in every tournament though some of his teammates are quite inconsistent. COngratulations to S1mple for making the top player twice in a year. It is quite an achievement.

Taking some actions on DOTA 2 later.

If Brown Lee naturalized already, is this mean Ginebra can have another import?

I am sure they are not allowed but even if they can, is that going to help them or make them worst? It will just disrupt the chemistry that they already have in the team. Better just stick with the current roster since they are strong enough to beat the Bay Area Dragons and get the Championship.

Anyway, let's just focus on the game 7 and I'm sure many are already excited to watch the last game between this two top teams. With a help of the crowd, Ginebra will have a good advantage here. There's nothing wrong about the line-up of Ginebra, though they have to adjust right away if one of the key players are not playing well so the Bay Area will not have the chance to take a huge lead. Ginebra can win this one, let's all watch this game.

Having a talented coach is a great advantage for Ginebra. Sure, they were overwhelmed by the presence of Powell in Game 6 but that will surely be fixed by Game 7. They have a lot of days to plan and practice how they will contain Powell. I am sure, by game time, they will be ready to execute their plans to perfection. And with the crowd backing them up, we will see a fired-up Ginebra playing tonight.

933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 14, 2023, 08:36:56 AM
I'm guessing that 70% of those in attendance for this game will be mostly Gin Kings fans and only 30% of the Bay area Dragons. May the best team win, this Sunday. Then we run out of tickets dude and it's hard to get one, it's even better at home because there's no hustle, to be honest.
Much much more higher than 70%. I do not think that Filipinos will support a foreign team in our country. Even though they look like they are stronger, Ginebra proves that they can take the Championship away from the favorite Bay Area Dragons. Even if you are a TNT, RoS, Magnolia, San Miguel or Ginebra fan, I am sure if a filipino team is going up against a foreign team, you will support the Filipino team. I think 99% will cheer for Ginebra. Just a few ones will support Bay Area.

I guess that's it and just like how the Bay Area Dragon reactivate their import, Powell. So, there's the possibility that there could be an import on the side of Ginebra on Sunday.
Just for game 7, there could be some surprises on their roster based on the naturalization of Brownlee. Thus, it's just the same roster and Brownlee is going to be for keeps of the Ginebra for the next conference.

No, they will not have a new import. That will be too unfair for Bay Area Dragon. 2 imports playing at the same time.

There is no betting line in Stake yet, but I am guessing, Ginebra will be the favorite this game. If not, that would be a big chance for us to have good odds for Ginebra.

Rockets key injuries: Kevin Porter Jr (foot) out

PSG LGD is like a new team now. The only remaining player from the previous roster is Nothingtosay and Y. Ame (retired), Xinq and Faith_bian are not playing for LGD anymore. They are still performing very well even though they are recently assembled team. They can dominate, it just needs more playing time together.

PSG.LGD is the way they are because of their coach and not necessarily their players. Xiao8 is what PSG.LGD is all about, and I think the True Sight have already conveyed you this because everything revolves around xiao8's strategies, metas, and decisions. He wouldn't be called Director 8 for no reason. Even with the departure of Somnus, Chalice, and xNova who brought the said team to prominence in 2018 - 2020, PSG.LGD as a team is still very strong because of the leadership of Xiao8. It'll take some time before they can get their shit together but I'm pretty sure LGD is still deserving as a Div 1 team.

We cannot deny that. In any sport, a coach is a vital element in the success of the team. But in the end, it is still the players that play the game. PSG LGD is still like a new team since half of the roster is new. We still cannot know how strong this new roster would be playing together.

Both Secret and Nigma keep on losing their game though. It will be fun to watch both of them getting the straight up ticket to 2nd divison  Roll Eyes. Well Secret was atleast better last season compared to Nigma overall and at this point, I'd rather have Nigma abandoned all their current roster then straight up sign another team to compete in the DPC

I do not know if this will work. Since the new rule is implemented, if they change the roster, they will suffer DPC points lost. They will not qualify if they change the roster.

Game 7 do-or-die game will be on Sunday on the Philippine Arena. I'm a bit curious how many people will try and watch the game. Based on Wikipedia, the Arena has 55,000 seats. Will we ever see the Arena be filled with audiences? Will we ever see the greatest number of audiences who watched a PBA game in history?

Oh, there will be a lot. First, it is a Sunday. It is Ginebra's favorite day to win and the crowd usually pours in to support Ginebra play on a Sunday. Then, it is the most exciting series recently in PBA. Filipinos will be excited to watch it live.

Maybe at least double the total attendance in game 6. Philippine Arena has a capacity of over 50k, so accommodating a huge number of fans is not a problem. This would be in history too, so it's nice if Ginebra will win this doe-or-die game.

I do not know if there will be that many people watching, but I know it will be more than the attendance in Game 6. Most of us are rooting for Ginebra to win. Let's see if they can counter the offense of Powell. I know the focus of their practice will be how to stop Powell. Even though he is still injured, he is still very unstoppable in scoring. And he can impose his will against Ginebra. I am curious about what Tim Cone's response will be to him.

Same goes for PSG.LGD as without AME they are struggling to find perfect engaging time as they are well known for this little things that will break the game in their favor. Cool

At least for PSG LGD, they are at the top of the standings in China. Team Secret is at the bottom right now in WEU. It is still too early to predict anything though. All that I know is, there is a lot of adjustment needed for both teams. I do not know how Team Secret will approach this if BOOM does not dwell well with them. The penalty for changing a player in the official roster is very stiff.

... also the LGD we know they strong before but image still they cant manage to make a win in their matches recently with a good performance most of the time they choke I guess time for the new era of players.

PSG LGD is like a new team now. The only remaining player from the previous roster is Nothingtosay and Y. Ame (retired), Xinq and Faith_bian are not playing for LGD anymore. Team Secret has a rough start this DPC season. Nisha's replacement, BOOM, is not sitting well with Team Secret. I think he is still at loss on how to play with his new team. OG run them down easily in their match today. OG won an easy 2-0 against them. Team Secret is now 0-4 to start the DPC Winter tour. They had a rough start last season too but got to end TI in second place.

They were lucky last season when they picked up Reso because he fits perfectly how team Secret plays. They are not so lucky this season replacing Nisha with BOOM. Hopefully, they will recover and get synch up. It is still a long season.

Clarkson is ready to square up, he is really all the time, that's his trademark, LOL>.

Seriously, you are right because he should set a good example, maybe he was annoyed but he wasn't too smart to control his emotion, which is not good for his career and for his team. Look at Jokic, he is good in the regular season but once he is in the playoffs, the tactic of his opponent is to put a very tough defense on him to annoy him and probably make him lose his focus.
Yeah, the time Jokic clotheslined Cameron Payne due to frustration but there's a big difference, Jokic didn't fight and ended it by apologizing to Payne before he exits the game due to a flagrant 2 automatic ejection. He knows it's his fault, while on Clarkson side he won't admit it and even had the guts to raise his fists.

Clarkson is becoming hot-headed; I do not think he was like that before. Squaring up is becoming his default stance lately. He should not let other players get into his head, it will ruin his game. He is having a stellar year given the situation. He will have player options next season and after that, he is free agent. This kind of attitude during the game will ruin his chance to get better contract in the future.

Yeah they were rolling, this is just going to be a fact of life for him.  Tall bodies as they age never tend to age well.  Their goal should be to get into the playoffs and limit his minutes when he gets back and then unleash him for the playoffs.  Might be worth betting on kyries per game point totals from here on out.  My guess is that he gets 30+ shot opportunities a game with Durant out.
I hate to say this, but it seems that load management is the only answer to keep them superstar healthy, especially the injury-prone ones. Hopefully, when he gets back, they won sit him down every other games but just limit his minutes on the court. I think fans are being short-changed when star players are benched for load management.

Let us view this as an opportunity for Ben Simmons to step up and fill up the void that Durant will leave for a while. He should really step up since he is the third superstar on the team.
