Now they're one loss away from elimination and will fight against OG tomorrow in the lower bracket as both Greyhound and paiN knocked both of them out in the middle bracket. They were able to keep their bid alive by eliminating OG from contention. OG throw their lead away and was not able to protect it even though they have at least 3 chances to put the game away. It went 2 over time and NiP was able to win in the second overtime. I think degster is not playing well missing some crucial shots as an AWPer. Good game for NiP overall. |

Earlier I woke up seeing a clip on Facebook of Kevin Durant slipping on the floor while warming up against OKC. I thought it won't become a major issue until I heard updates that he is not playing against OKC. It was supposed to be the first game of KD as a Suns in Phoenix. No update on his injury yet but hopefully it isn't that bad. Phoenix Suns are on fire right now with a 4 game winning streak. They'll be in trouble if KD isn't back as their next 3 games are against the Kings, Warriors, and Bucks. Imagine if it is once again a season-ending injury. Because he is actually being able to perform well whenever he is eventually being able to play, I believe that they should give him enough rest so that when he is able to play, he is performing great. Now if they do not give him proper rest, he is going to be more injured and he will also not be able to perform well when he is playing. Now if this is unacceptable for the team, and they want to replace him, it is totally understandable. But if they want to have him, they will have to make some sacrifices. I think that the Sun will do. They traded a lot of assets for him, so they have to make sure that he will recover fast and stay healthy for the playoffs. That is the time that he matters the most. The Suns can survive the regular season and maintain their rank. They still have Booker, Ayton and CP3 in the lineup. It should not be too hard to maintain a good rank with the caliber of the players they still have. |

If he can land to a SMC or MVP franchise, maybe he can do that but with underdog team, he will just play and be forgotten, I like him in terms of skills but without solid squad the talent will be wasted better to chase for high-paying job overseas if there's still team that interested to sign him instead of going back here and waste his entire career.
Just my own opinion, it will still be depending if how he and his camp will take his career. Nothing is close for now after parting ways with his overseas contract.
If he performs well in his team, in a year or two, SMC or MVP teams will make a way to acquire him. That is if he performs well. I do not know why he is not successful in Japan, but he is athletic and quite skillful. You're missing the discussion, we're not talking about Kai but Kobe Paras. But since you've mentioned Kai since he's is about to get his NBA dream soon, once he's done with Hiroshima AFAIK, he's going to head to the US.
I've forgotten if it's with G League or another league that's associated with NBA and that's what he's trying to get on. With the replacement of his manager/handler, I think that he's fairly doing the right thing just after he came from Australia and didn't get that much exposure there but with the experience that he's getting, I'm optimistic and supporting his way to NBA.
He needs to show that he can dominate Japan B-League because he was not able to dominate NBL when he was there. NBA or even D-League will not be interested to him if he cannot even dominate a smaller league. We will see how the Japanese will use Kai in their team. He does not have much playing time in NBL but hopefully he gets more in B-League. |

NiP, on the other hand, struggled against a strong Brazilian team but managed to win. NiP has a good roster but I feel like they need some time if this roster is to remain stable.
Yep, definitely not in the same tier as FaZe right now, I expect an easy 2-0 for FaZe. Putting my money on Viality and FaZe for today's matches. I expected Vitality to win their match against OG but I did not expect them to win so easily. They breeze through Anubis just giving OG 5 rounds. On the second map, Vertigo, OG showed some resistance and played better, but Vitality still got the win. They are way too strong against OG right now. Next match is NIP vs Faze. Faze is favored to win but @ 1.27, I do not think it is worth it to bet on. |

For OG, yeah, this is the best thing that they can do. Thankfully no one was really kicked out from the team. Chu has already showcased his support skills to the world on several tournaments, and he has performed according to what the rest of the squad wants. Misha's analysis and knowledge on drafts and metas can be used on the coaching position by providing great insights on the team pre-match. Hopefully with this switch they achieve great tournament placings and earn as much points as they can to qualify for TI invite.
I believe OG just needs experience in order to win. They are a young team. Though they have played a lot of tournaments, it is not yet enough for the team. Their time will come since they are a good team. We have seen them win a few tournaments last season, so they are very capable. Misha becoming the Coach is also a good move. There are times when he gets a problem getting a visa so that affects the team. Now that he is a coach, even if he gets a visa problem, the players are not that much affected. |

DYIP almost had this win, and it was an entertaining game, but in the end, Ginebra made sure they would not let DYIP upset them. The performances of Brownlee, Thompson, and Malonzo were impressive in the last few seconds of the game.
Brownlee made a 3-point shot, Malonzo dunked the ball, and although Thompson missed the follow-up shot, he got the offensive rebound, giving Ginebra the ball position.
Congratulations to the winners, as the handicap for DYIP was easily covered.
It is quite exciting. Terrafirma posted a good fight against Ginebra and the game was close until to the last minutes. Terrafirma is still giving their all even though, technically, they are already out of the tournament because of their standing. Ginebra executed perfectly in the last minute of the game though to secure the win. Next games will be after 6 days as we will see PBA going to another place for the All-Star. Anybody here that is living near the venue or at least will go and watch in person? Ahh, that's the reason why there's a six days gap of PBA games huh but i don't think that many fans are excited to see this non-sense All-Star game now. Those from Iloilo will surely watch the game since it is not often that PBA players go to their province to play. It is their chance to see the players of PBA in person. I thought there was a game tomorrow, as I am used to betting on Thursdays. However, there is an All-Star game, so we have to take a break from betting. I believe there won't be any betting odds for the All-Star game. If there are any, then I will bet on the 3-point shooting. Do we already have a list of the participants in the 3-point shooting contest?

Honestly, I didn't expect the Lakers to win anything during LeBron's absence, but now they have 7 wins in their last 10 games, and that's surprising. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but they've been doing really well since getting rid of Westbrook. However, it's too early for them to relax because there are 16 more games left until the end of the regular season, and they're not even guaranteed a Play-in Tournament or Playoff spot yet.
It is more because AD is back. And now, they have a decent team because their role players are better now than when Westbrook is in the Lakers. The Lakers did good moves before the trade deadline. Now. they have a flicker of hope to be included in the play-in tournament. Speaking of coming back, I wonder how the Grizzlies will come back after the series of events that happened with the team.
First is the Ja Morant issue in his social media account. Second is Brandon Clarke suffering a season-ending injury. I wonder how will Coach Taylor Jenkins make an adjustment with his team. Morant doesn't have a timetable right now on when he will return. How will the "Dynasty" team play without their captain? Right now, the Grizzlies are already 3rd in the Western Conference, currently tied with the Kings who is now in the 2nd spot. We are nearing to the end of the regular season. I'm exciting on how the Grizzlies will adjust with what's happening with them.
It will be hard to have a consistent win while Adams and Morant is out. But once Steven Adams is back on the court, they will have a better chance to win games. Morant may take more time out because of the investigation and everything, but if he gets back in the playoffs, that will be a good thing for the team. |

I think GSW is lowkey still a great team, people are sleeping on them even right now. They are the team that won it all last year, that is why I believe that we shouldn't really expect them to lose right away neither. They had some injury issues all season long which kept them low, but if they are in the playoffs, then they are contenders, of course with the condition that they stay healthy. I personally see a team that has curry, klay, poole, dray all on the same team with some decent role players not really that bad, they are quite good actually. Suns is good, Mavs are good, but GSW will definitely be good too.
They manage to stay afloat even with all the injuries they suffered this year. That is quite impressive. They could have a chance to repeat what they have done last year. They also were not on the top of the ranking last year but were able to win it all. But it will be harder to duplicate that right now since Durant is also in the West now with the Suns. The Warriors are still a contender, but it will be harder to win now. |

GG won the major without dropping a single map in playoffs, impressive! After Liquid beat talon it was looking like they could give GG a fight in the finals even with a standin, but ended up a clean 3-0 instead This just proves how valuable supports are This proves how far the skill level of SEA region is from WEU. Even without their main support, team Liquid was able to defeat Talon with ease. This gave us false hope that Team Liquid will give a good fight against GG. But GG is too good for an incomplete Team Liquid. They were able to take the Finals without dropping any maps. It could have been a better series if team Liquid is complete. Liquid was able to defeat GG in the Regionals. It is not far that Liquid could have won Lima Major if Boxi played. |

You are not wrong in some sense but Secret is going to play in division 2 for the next DPC so that means they are going to miss out the DPC points as well as the next Major. Even if somehow Secret ended up making their way up to division 1 and somehow win the 3rd DPC as well as the 3rd Major, they could even not make it to TI with their DPC points rank
So based on that, Secret is on the same position as Old G which is getting to the next TI through open qualifier
You are right. Anyway, Team Secret is going through a revamp right now since Zayac is also moving out of the team. It seems Puppey is disappointed in their last run that he is willing to let go of these two great players. OLD G will surely benefit from having Reso on their team. Open qualifiers for Spring Tour will start soon. We will see soon who will Puppey take as their new member in this DPC run. |

There is no point on staying with Secret any longer as they will be playing in division 2 so he might as well want to take his chances with the Old G instead. Correct me if I am wrong but I think OLD G was not even qualified for Division 2. So, Reso is actually going a step down in division. But he is joining Ceb and Topson. And maybe this time they will be more serious since NoTail is stepping down as well from OLD G since he said he is still not ready to go back to the serious grind for Professional DOTA. Who knows why Reso is leaving Team Secret but it is obviously not an upgrade to go to OLD G. I think Secret is still in a better choice if you are thinking professionally. |

Not sure if this is just the beginning for Morant or he might serve longer suspension because of that video.
As far as the latest information regarding Morant's issue is concerned, I will assume already that Ja Morant might not return to action in the remainder of the season until in the latter part of the playoffs if they will able to advance. There's no room in NBA to do such an act. I might be wrong though. Should serve a lesson now for him. What an unfortunate thing happen to him in just the early period of his career. With what happened, the whole Memphis Grizzlies now need to do some adjustments to fill Morant's absence. What is worse is if that action affects his endorsement deals and his contract with the Grizzlies. He has an extension contract with the Memphis Grizzlies coming up. Hope he really gets help and not just release a statement to get clear of this trouble. He has a bright future ahead of him and it would be bad to see him blow it just because of some silly actions, Booker has always been a bit of a weak trash talker, and that will continue to be like that for a long time considering that's a bit about someone's character and not something about their talent. Booker and Doncic's argument was funny, but it was clear that it wouldn't grow any further. As long as there is no physical violence in this regard, I find such quarrels amusing. Phoenix was a really dangerous team, as you all said. Having both Durant and Booker on the team offers more offensive options. They became one of the duos that scored 35 points each. It's hard to defend that. A healthy Phoenix will pose a threat to all opponents. Booker starting another weak trash talk. But hopefully they will be able to defend his trash talk because remember last year he trash talked Luka, but the Mavs won their series in the playoffs. |

So, this means that he intentionally underperforms in their last game against Ginebra in response to the coach's instructions to share the ball. Very unprofessional response to a valid instruction from the coach.
The dude gotta be forgetting how to remain professional if it was intentional. Anyway, Coach Aldin knows what's best for the team and he won't take those with attitude for sure. He knows if it's a force play or out of luck but that's it, they'll pay for his remainder based on his contract, and let's wait if there's already someone who's going to replace him. But I'm sure that if it's coach Aldin that has decided on this one, he's gonna take someone better than him as he's serious about coaching the FiberXers Hopefully, they find a good replacement for him. They are still in for the playoffs, so a good import is really needed for them to move to the next round. Hopefully, they will find someone that has no attitude problem and will follow the instruction of the coach. It will be a quick fix for them and if they've proven that he did it intentionally then he can just walk away with the pay that he's got.
I'm really eyeing for the Converge FiberXers to have some momentum and get to the finals and then you know, get the ring.
They are good but I do not think they can get past stronger teams like TNT or San Miguel, especially, now that they have a problem with import. They are a young team, so they have a lot to learn yet. Maybe when they mature more, they will be able to challenge stronger teams in the finals. |

Lots of speculations that Converge lose that game on purpose as their import only scored lower compared to its usual in 35 minutes of playing. But looking at the standing, win or loss, I don't see how it will impact the final position of teams.
The courtside reporter also tells during the game that Franklin is always trying to make several hoops last game even if it's hard to attempt and not sure if it's going to be a successful shot. That's what Coach Ayo pointed out and maybe Franklin take it as a big deal.
I don't think so. He had some open shots, but it looks like he wasn't a willing shooter in that game. Though he shot a lot, he knows his outside shots are of high percentage. They were also in a position where the lead of Ginebra had already ballooned, so as an import, he should act and try to come back to win. I'm seeing that there's something wrong with him, or maybe he was ordered not to shoot the ball and let the Kings win. Just came across this article stating that Converge is letting Jamal Franklin go. They will still pay the remainder of his contract, but they are moving forward to the playoffs without Jamal Franklin. I do not know who will replace him, but it is too near the playoffs, and they may not have the chemistry needed to win a series.
