641  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: December 22, 2023, 02:39:33 PM
I don't know what you mean by the market going to a trader or the trader going to the market, but all I know is that a lot of newbie investors lose money because they FOMO if that's what you mean. They see a coin or a token that has gone up significantly just recently, and they think it will go up more so they take a position in it, and as always, the coin/token starts dropping right from there since it has already reached the peak and it's never a good point for buying.

So, what newbie traders and investors need to learn and understand is that you can't enter this late and still expect to make great profits, and if you are doing it for a small share of profits, you shouldn't do it because it has more risk than reward which is never a good thing to do as a trader in this financial market.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 22, 2023, 04:14:50 AM
I am not so much concerned about who wins the Premier League title, but how they will win it in the end. I think the most important ingredient for an exciting race for the title is that at least two teams stay close to each other until the end of the season. There is nothing killing the excitement more than one team having a 20 points advantage after 30 games. But this season I don't think that is going to happen as they are very equal at the top for the time being. There is Arsenal and Liverpool and Aston Villa and Manchester City. But there are still some teams behind that waiting for their chance.
Currently nothing is surely about title winner with we have few interesting changes at the top too many teams are coming and going down after few weeks which is making this race more interesting and surely this is the biggest difference which have Premier League from others we have many teams which are level in quality and performance is also at the top level now as we are heading for the 2024 things are going more interesting and who is going to lead in coming weeks it's also not sure.

Round 18 are going to have good changes at the top we will have Liverpool vs Arsenal and before this match we will have Aston Villa vs Sheffield Utd in case win Aston Villa could be league leaders for the one day, and then we will have again new leader but best thing happening this fight is going till end of the season and fans will have action packed matches as well.
643  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are we expecting between now and Bitcoin halving? on: December 21, 2023, 11:59:25 PM
Up until now I have just been buying throughout the bear market and not sold anything , my portfolio is currently 26% in profit which I am happy with but wondering if I should keep holding till past the bull run or take some profits now.
Next year halving will happen but it is not exactly when the Bitcoin price will be bullish. It may also be that Bitcoin starts to become bullish after the halving event ends or may take more time. But it is certain that the market will go back to a bullish movement. If you are holding Bitcoin then I would say definitely hold it because investing in Bitcoin will definitely give you good returns in due course but if you are holding any cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin then there will be fear. Altcoins can take you from profit to loss at any time. So do market analysis and take appropriate decision. If you invest in Bitcoin, you will definitely have the right way which will be supported by all.
I believe that the best thing to do in regards to something like this would be just making sure that we do have some bitcoin that we are holding. Too many people are missing that point and they are trying to just figure out when would be the best time to buy, but they are not aware that today is the best time to buy and second best day is tomorrow.

You should get in, and you should get as much bitcoin as you possibly can during this period so that it would make sense, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with anything better, we need to keep it working. All those people who still hold their money at tether or similar stablecoins, waiting to get in, are making a huge mistake right now and it will be terrible for them.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has gambling ever whispered you with different strategic prediction measures? on: December 21, 2023, 11:51:05 PM
When my balance is running low, I do that sometimes. It gives me some kind of a suspense. Indeed our eyes are very sensitive that what ever we see, can influence the way we think/decide, but I think that organ wasn't alone. You already mentioned heart there. This is another one. And then there is also the most important among all, and that is our brain.

It's actually true that when we play gambling, we should take our time and play according to what our heart says, as it may help us to decide properly and satisfy our selves very well, than if we will rush. I'm not sure if closing our eyes while picking up a prediction or hitting the slots is what we can call a trick or a strategy, but to me, I think it's just playing the game randomly.
645  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 21, 2023, 03:03:31 PM
Why make things difficult for yourself with this temporary solution? If you learn self-control and the ability to say no when you need to say no, that's going to be more beneficial to you in the long run and the benefit of locking out your funds isn't that good of a solution anyway because you can still deposit money to fund your gambling habit so besides being a temporary solution, it's a bad one at that. With learning self-control you end up affecting your whole life too, your decision making and being able to stay calm and collected when under the pressure is probably a good way to go so stop with this temporary stuff and go for the permanent albeit difficult one.
Patience, self-control, discipline, and all other things are not to be learned, especially if you are all grown up now because you tend to learn and practice all these things when you are growing up, it also depends on how you have been raised and what kind of a life you've had since childhood. People who were spoiled by their parents at a young age can barely be able to have any patience or self-control or know how to stay disciplined when it comes to things like finances because they have just been spending their whole lives without having to worry about anything.

So, one cannot start gambling, become addicted to it, and wake up one day and decide that he will learn to be patient and have self-control to avoid gambling. It doesn't work that way, and you will need to find other ways to get rid of your gambling addiction if you've realized it's having a bad impact on your life.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 21, 2023, 02:11:05 AM
The thing about Ja Morant is that, he may miss the all-star because he didn't play all season long, but he is also looking like the best player at that position to be given that reign as well.

He is fun, he is high flying, he doesn't do anything bad on the court that would hurt anyone, he is not like suspended for the same stuff that Draymond did, he didn't do anything on the court, he had a friend who shared an instagram video where Ja has a gun, not that I actually enjoy any of that, but I would say considering the gun ownership numbers in the USA, I would have to say any player having a gun is not really all that crazy, and considering these players worth tens of millions of dollars, we could even consider it a smart decision, not to flaunt it of course, but to own one to protect yourself.
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 20, 2023, 03:34:52 PM
There were quite a few surprises from the IPL auction yesterday. Players who were retained would be complaining that the ones who got the bid this year benefitted a lot. Mitchell Starc setup a new record, with a bid of $2,980,000 from Kolkata Knight Riders. Pat Cummins was not far behind, with a bid of $2,470,000 from Sunrisers Hyderabad. But the real surprise package was Daryl Mitchell who got a bid of $1,687,000 from the Chennai Super Kings. Cricket Australia would be most happy, as they will receive a fraction of the contract amount (20%) as foreigner release fee.
I am also surprised with few bids because I have feeling Pat Cummins not deserved this but still he is happy with Cricket Australia is enjoying this all because we all know this IPL is well benefited for the B-4 and they all enjoying and having good financial help as well, but my biggest disappointment was Phil Salt which is today's social media hot topic as well because he scored two back to back centuries and already having good time in T20i for the England he also deserved good bid but no franchise goes for this which is surely big disappointment.

Overall we have nothing new thing as Australians were expected to have this with their recent ODI world cup win in India and mostly other players were already retained by franchises, but I have a feeling Pat Cummins is going to be overrated on this price.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one you are good at? on: December 19, 2023, 06:54:00 PM
I love sport betting a lot. Am not frequently betting on sort because am not so good at predictions. So i have a good freind who sends me some predictions whenever i cannot see one for myself. However, am more interested in managing my bankroll, because that is what am good at doing that making predictions on sport betting. If there is a simpler way to be at a professional level, in terms of managing bankroll and predicting bet then i would love to have both knowledge.
You know what, what you said in your first sentence are contradictory to each other. Maybe what you really mean is, you like sports alone a lot but not sports betting, because we know there is a risk on it that we can lose our money but for the many, they think having a good knowledge in different sports is an advantage. They just elevate it by placing a bet on the sports or team/player that they know the most.

Between managing a bankroll and making predictions, I think you are right that managing a bankroll is more important because we are sure with this already, but not yet in making a prediction. There is always a good chance that we can lose our bet.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 19, 2023, 04:09:24 PM
I agree with you. Two decades ago the Kenyan squad had several world-class players. This team could have done well against the likes of Bangladesh and Zimbabwe back then. But in between the Kenya team was almost lost. Their performance deteriorated badly. And we haven't seen a Kenyan team regularly in cricket for a long time. But in the last 2/3 years, Kenya wants to back cricket again. And slowly this group is improving. Compared to teams like Uganda, the Kenyan team is experienced. I hope Kenya's win against Uganda will prove their mettle.
I have noticed some improvement in the performance of the Kenyan team. But now the situation is much different. Teams like Namibia and Uganda are much ahead of them. And 75% of the squad is now comprised of Asian origin players (two decades ago, 75% were native). I am still hopeful of a turnaround, but it will take them a long time to recover from the backstabbing that they received from the ICC. The positive thing is that because of social media, the ICC can no longer ignore the associate nations. In recent past they have seen an increase in funding.
Due to good popularity of the T20I we have good activity which is good for the game now just because of this we have too many countries from African region are working on their teams and bring good talent as well which will help the game specially now countries like Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria and Malawi are doing good work and just because of this Kenya is also improving their quality which is good for the game even still we have strong base in Asia but now due to good activity in this region we can expect more competitive teams in this region.

Now in coming days we will have Philippine team will also be touring Indonesia for the few matches and then Vietnam is also starting their tours which are positive signs for the game in this region which was completely under control of soccer, but now this new game is also spreading.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 19, 2023, 02:38:51 PM
I understand that Manchester United is far from playing their best football. With the way other teams are performing it will be hard for them to make the champoins league spot. What Manchester United should do is to take their focus off the top 4 and make sure they can make the Europa league next season. But they should focus more on rebuilding the team next season.
Rather than forcing to qualify for Champions or Europa League, it's better for them to develop their club first.

They need to find two wingers, midfielders and few defenders. Although Onana sometimes make mistakes, but we have Bayindir who can replace Onana. While the other positions I mentioned before, Manchester United really lack of good players.
It will be too bad for a team like Manchester United to stay without European football next season, that's why I said they need to make sure they secure Europa spot. They can buy players in the positions you just mentioned in January. It will be hard for Manchester United to attract quality players in the summer if they are not offering European football next summer.
If they are going to build their team for the long period then surely once they will not play European soccer this is not going to have any problem for them, but this can bring good results for them in long run as described they need to invest on right players which can give them better results instead of investing on big stars which are already in this team but sadly not able to perform as club needs from them just because of this now things are going on wrong way.

Ten hag is also having problems with his strategy in early days he was impressive with giving best results and having spot in Champions League was super from his skill and method but now in this season all things going against him even now many are asking for sacking of him but most chances if we have any changes it's going to happen after end of this season.
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: December 19, 2023, 12:38:03 PM
It is very sad to see Brazil's current performance. I see them relying heavily on Neymar for their game tactics. In the past, Brazil was very strong in all lines, even their defenders could have the qualities of a striker. In the past, every line was able to score goals and it didn't matter if one or two people were injured because they were still able to show their best performance. I still remember watching Brazil in the 2002 and 2006 World Cups where they performed very well and didn't just rely on one or two players as is happening now.
I am not sure whether there is any decline in the performance of the Brazilian national team. During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, a number of players performed really well, such as Vinícius Júnior, Richarlison and Casemiro. But the other teams have caught up with them. Brazil no longer dominates world football. At this point they are ranked #3 by FIFA, behind Argentina and France. And there is not much gap between fourth placed Belgium and Brazil. England may also overtake them in the future.
Currently, as team Brazil is having some problems because overall if we check they are still producing one of the best soccer players in the world and dominance is not challengeable but sadly as team we are not having better results from them which is currently the biggest problem, and now they are going to have first non-Brazilian coach which will help them for having improvement into team, and they will be tried to have change of strategy because problem is too many star players are not able to creating room, and they mostly exposed which are not allowing to them for having better results.

Most chances in September they will give charge of coaching to Carlos Ancelotti which will stay for few years, and they will be able to have their dominance back into soccer world which is their trademark for decades.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risk and reward of having Bitcoin on: December 19, 2023, 06:51:23 AM
BTC's volatility isn't even a disadvantage if you know how to utilize it well.

BTC isn't accepted by all but many are into it now. Plus you can always transact online if you are struggling offline. Hacks can be prevented if we are very careful. The last one might only be the real disadvantage of BTC. But again, we can prevent this, if we are very careful.

The first one in the advantage list seems exaggerated. I think it's enough to say that we can earn a profit with it if we know what we are doing. BTC is decentralized but some platforms related to it aren't. There are still people who don't care about it. But what important is, they can still benefit with BTC.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trend or long term projects? on: December 18, 2023, 05:44:21 PM
For altcoin i still realize that the long term is a condition where its like gambling for them.
Not to say this is bad but I have felt that in the end being in the long term for altcoins is a waste of time and energy because in the end it is not the best option for the long term and we know what is best for the long term until now.
If you are in altcoins I think it would be great if you just take advantage of momentum even though I am currently not in altcoins anymore and focusing more on bitcoin but I think taking advantage of momentum is the best option for altcoins rather than forcing yourself for the long term.
If your thinking is right, then we can say that investing in Ethereum is useless as well. We can't generalize altcoins because some of them are still profitable long-term but if we talk about these new projects, I could agree that they are not worth investing long-term. That is if we are planning to invest in crypto for the long-term, we better consider choosing old coins but of course, spending more shares in Bitcoin is advisable. And we know the reason why - altcoins are fully reliant on Bitcoin.
Indeed that he must specify if what altcoin he is referring to. But if let's say it was Ethereum, maybe he is only doing it wrong, like he got greedy to not sell during its peak thinking it will continue to rise. I think that we shouldn't judge the new altcoins quickly and say that they are only best for the short-term and not for the long-term.

We need to realize that the old altcoins that we are seeing now are also once a new altcoin. There are old coins who are not performing well anymore and have a high risk of being de-listed later on. By this, we can say that it's not only about being new or old, but it's also about how they are doing, is what can matter.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers should not believe in first game win trap on: December 18, 2023, 04:58:55 PM
I noticed there has been some topics about how first time winning is dangerous. What I am saying is someone that has not gamble before, to gamble and win. That it is dangerous. Yes it may be dangerous because the person may have the exciting mind to gamble more  and lose. But that is not the whole true story.

The main reason is because they think gambling is a way money can be made. Unless they change their the way they think about gambling, that gambling is is not a money making means, first time win or loss is not necessarily the cause of their addiction.
But newbies who just won on their first tries are more likely to get hooked because of the feeling that it is easy money, although we cannot rule out that even if newbies lose on their first try they can still get addicted, it is on the character of the newbies some newbies are persistent because they have seen other gamblers who made a lot of money and they believe that if you continue playing, you will eventually find the luck and the knowledge to win in gambling, so they continue to win even though they are losing a lot of money.
Getting addicted to gambling is dependent on one's views about gambling. If a gambler sees gambling as a way to earn money, they are bound to get addicted to it eventually even if they get a profit in their first gambling session or not because they will always come back looking for profits as soon as they get money even if they have lost what they had, and when a person does that, nothing can stop them from getting addicted because they are not disciplined.

On the other hand, a person or a gambler who gambles not just for profit but finds it a fun and entertaining activity or hobby and they don't mind losing, winning makes them happier, of course. Such people will have lower chances of getting addicted to gambling and any other activity that they might find more interesting can easily take them away from gambling.
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security is important in Bitcoin on: December 18, 2023, 12:55:41 PM
Wallets right now are more user/beginner friendly, in which they can also have that notice on how important it is to secure our seed phrases before we create our wallet. So, I don't believe your friend when he says that he don't know that seed phrases are very important.

After your friend dropped the paper which contains a seed phrase to his wallet, it's possible that someone that has a knowledge on crypto found it and stole the coins inside it. Did you asked him on which place he dropped it? Was it on their house only? Office, or somewhere? 2 months is long.

So, maybe the coins were already spent. I guess the best thing that he can do is just move on and take this as an expensive lesson.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 17, 2023, 07:12:56 PM
Even myself dont really have that sufficient or preferred time on reading up on everything on which i would really be that skipping it out all  the time.
I also don't read terms and conditions when signing up at an online casino. I prefer to read summarized reviews about the respective casino on the internet, because the people who wrote the reviews already read and highlighted the most important points of the terms for the audience, so they don't have to spend their time on it.

This way everyone gains, it's a win-win situation: reviewers are paid through traffic and views for the long length of time they took to read those terms in order to write the articles and gamblers don't have to be fearful of depositing at a casino because they haven't read a dozen of pages at the casino website. Moreover, online casinos in general also win, because many of them are being promoted on the reviews' websites.
Reviews are not always reliable, especially if they are not from a trusted source. A casino can always pay $20 to a blogger to write very good things about them and publish it for the audience to see and read. Even if a certain review isn't paid or fake, you can't have any idea about the terms and conditions of the platform by reading the article. An article about Stake will only give you a review about their services, their website, customer support, etc. It wouldn't tell you anything about the terms and conditions.

Even though it's not mandatory, I believe it's important for someone to read the terms and conditions before joining a platform if they have plans of staying there for long and are also going to entrust them with their KYC information. It will make things more clear for the gambler and for the support as well if the gambler gets into trouble later on.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 23/24 - discussion thread on: December 17, 2023, 06:40:53 PM
There are some good matches today. The most important match of the day will undoubtedly be the AZ Alkmaar-PSV Eindhoven clash.PSV have had the opportunity to continue without losing a point so far.PSV have 15 wins in 15 games in the league and will be looking to make it 16 wins in 16 games. Although being away is a disadvantage for them, we know that PSV has the potential to get 3 points in this match.Although AZ Alkmaar has been in poor form in recent weeks, it can be expected to show a resistance against PSV.We can expect this match to be high in terms of viewing pleasure because both teams have no problem scoring goals.
Feyenoord won their game against Heracles so easy, 4:0 probably don't even reflect the game. Stats of game better reflect their dominace. Twente unexpectedly dropped points in Rotterdam against Sparta. It's impressive that Sparta scored 2 goals after one of their players got red card in 1st half. Ajax is leading 2:1 vs Zwolle, 20 minutes remaining, so, ending might be interesting if Ajax won't score 3rd goal.
I put some money on PSV, don't expect much from AZ. Maybe I understimate them too much, but for me they're not looking great and I'm surprised that they still hold 4th place with just 1 point behind Twente.
Today we have few good interesting matches with Feyenoord won their game easily and have three points which will keep them strong at the second spot in another match 10 men Sparta which was leading by 2–1 held by visitors Twente as injury time goal from Unuvar give them one important point, and they will be happy with this but in last game which was played between Ajax vs Zwolle give big setback to home team which was trying to recover from their early loses and were leading by 2–0 in first 60 minutes lost 2 important points and match ended with the score of 2–2 which is disappointing for them.

Now after few minutes we are heading for another big game which is going to play between top Dutch teams AZ Alkmaar is going to host leaders PSV, even mostly are feeling this is going to be easy win for the visitors but still we will be able to have entertaining match between these two inform teams.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: December 17, 2023, 01:11:24 PM
Loans are very dangerous things and when one gambles with these loans it becomes a death trap for him.  So it must be avoided at all times.  Because gambling can't guarantee that someone will make a profit.  So if you don't have the ability to gamble with a loan, it will be a very scary experience for him if he loses the gambling.
The worst thing a gambler will do is gamble with loan money, which is very risky. Whether you win or lose, gambling with loan money will not favour a gambler, so therefore, I consider those who take loans and gamble as people who have become addicted to gambling, so they are looking for a way to gamble just to derive pleasure. However, I will advise all gamblers to avoid taking loans and gamble, even if they think the game they predict is a sure one that will come and they will get their money back with profit. This is not advisable, and if they continue, it will end in financial losses and the loss of property, so therefore all gamblers should avoid taking loans and gamble.
How can it not favour the gambler if they win? The thing is, that a gambler will eventually lose everything, even if they win initially because they won't stop there. If a gambler has taken a loan of $1000, started gambling, and won $200. Do you think the gambler would stop and return the loan and become satisfied with only $200? No, they will think that they can earn more from the money because many gamblers think that it's easy to earn money from gambling if you have a lot of money to gamble with.

When the gambler doesn't stop and continues gambling to turn that $1,200 into $2,000 or maybe more, there will come a point in their journey where they will lose everything that they have won so far along with the amount they have borrowed, and that's when the tension starts to build up day after day as the repayment date closes in.

I'm a 19-year-old boy living in South Korea and now btt, doge, shiba inu, etc.. have skyrocketed in just a few hours on our country exchange 'upbit'. A little fomo is coming. I can't believe it's gone up more than a months I've invested in bitcoin. I personally don't want to invest in other coins, as I think bitcoin is superior.
What kind of mindset should I have to stay in Bitcoin? And I think Bitcoin is about to hit the highest price ever, so how should I plan my dca strategy?
I'm not aware yet that those coins you mentioned are now sky rocketing. I guess I'm too much focused on Bitcoin, and then it only happened earlier, so not many people in the forum are posting it yet. The reason on why it happened were maybe because of BTC's performance nowadays. It's also rising consistently and reached this far (its current value which is at $40k something).

If you think a FOMO is coming, then don't join it, because it's not good. But what you think about BTC right.  There is nothing wrong with your mindset. Just continue that mate, and I'm sure you will be successful soon on this venture you are having now. And yes, you can do a DCA if you haven't yet.
660  Other / Archival / Re: New strategy for casinos! on: December 17, 2023, 06:40:23 AM
Many of those top quality posters who joined mixer campaign aren't gamblers, so the drawback they might not post in gambling board.

I'm not sure if we will see a new casinos campaign very soon after the mixer ban begin, but the current casinos can volunteer hiring them, just like some top users are wearing Duelbits signature.
But, how did you know that they are not gamblers? It's possible that a user isn't picky, and there is an opening in the mixer campaign, so they joined it. Or the pay rate for it, and other conditions are much better, so they switch on it. If you are on a gambling campaign, like it or not, you will be making some gambling posts. It was only a few posts anyway, and most of the posts are still going to be spread in many areas of the forum.

Mixers and casinos are different services. So even if there is a new casino that will spawn, right after the banning date, I am sure it has no relation to the mixer. And even if let say a mixing service will create a casino with a mixing feature, they won't still be allowed here.
