1561  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Anbieter von Bitcoin Prepaid Kreditkarte on: June 19, 2020, 12:47:17 PM

Hätte wohl eher weitere MCO verkaufen sollen.

1562  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Die Default Trust wurde geändert ! on: June 19, 2020, 12:44:11 PM

Try this get a brush and lacquer flo thinner clean the USB socket and use a known working cable.

In addition to that, make sure to use an USB cable with data pins. Not your regular cheap charging cable.
An USB cable which can be used to transfer data from your mobile, does have the data pins. A 1$ charging cable, mostly doesn't.
1564  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Fake Bitcoin Transaction on: June 18, 2020, 05:56:57 PM
There are no "fake" transactions.
If they are fake, they are not real and therefore are not accepted by the network.

What do you think did you see in this video? What effect did it have?

Which video?

THE video.
1565  Other / Archival / Re: [ CWE-79 ] *.nastyfans.org is vulnerable to script injection on: June 18, 2020, 05:54:29 PM
Effect:

A malicious person can inject a shell script and get the personal deposit address of respected accounts, email..etc along with server information. If the website as claimed to operate 1000s of BTC then the vulnerability is intensified.

What you have shown is "just" a reflected XSS, not a persistent one.
You would need to send the URL with the injected code as a parameter to a person. That person would need to click on that link and have JS enabled for the script to be executed.

You can't inject a script into the server this way. And you definitely can't steal data from the server with this method.

It does exist. To take advantage of it the attacker would have to coerce someone to visit attacker's site and nastyfans site at the same time (in the same browser session) and obviously have JS enabled. This is a serious hole. I hope there are e-mail confirmations or 2FA for any withdrawals etc.

This still depends on whether and how the same-origin-policy is implemented.

1567  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Re: Wie erkennt man SegWit Adressen? on: June 18, 2020, 05:40:34 PM

Korrekt.
1568  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For Crypto Users: Reasons why we should not download pirated softwares on: June 18, 2020, 05:37:01 PM
- Stay away from torrent sites

Torrents are fine. A lot of software is distributed this way.
You just have to make sure to verify the signature.

You need to understand that people mostly download pirated software because they can’t afford to buy the original version. This is especially pronounced in some parts of the world, and companies that sell software should adjust the price to the markets, because for some $50 is just pocket money, while someone else has to work for that amount for a whole month.

There are free alternative available for almost any software.
You don't need to pay if you don't want to. There are only very few software where you actually can't find a free alternative which is as good as the paid version.
But this mostly is some statistics and business software. And if you are actually working with that, you should have the money to buy it. For anything else (especially not work related), free software is just as good as the paid one.
1569  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Chipmixer.com SSL cert Domain value on: June 18, 2020, 05:34:28 PM
P.S. Just ignore me, I don't know anything about crypto or infosec ...

That's the most important part here.

You are able to enter an URL into the bar of another website. Congratulations.

With that, you are almost as technically experienced as the guy who claimed to have found an incredibly dangerous vulnerability on a betting site.
This was a XSS on the (community hosted) forum instead of the actual betting site.

But don't worry. Read a few more tutorials and watch a few more youtube videos, and you'll also be able to find a huuuuuge vulnerability. I believe in you.
1570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: wallet.dat recovery Pls help me on: June 18, 2020, 05:27:46 PM
You could try using pywallet.
And create a copy of your file before doing anything with it.

P.s. If you bought the wallet.dat, you got scammed.
1571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Did UTXO not exist in the very beginning of Bitcoin? on: June 18, 2020, 12:31:55 PM
They do get combined if you send them in one transaction, but won't if you send them in multiple.
Not necessarily. You can make a single transaction which has multiple different outputs all going to the same address, and these outputs will not get combined.

Obviously, yes.
But which sane person would do that?  Grin

Read the pinned thread: [READ BEFORE POSTING] Tech Support Help Request Format

You didn't provide any information at all.

If you are looking for proper help according to your specific problem, you need to give us more information.
We don't have a crystal ball where we can see what your problem is as well as the solution for that.
1573  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Suggestions about the best ways to backup seed phrase on: June 18, 2020, 11:13:00 AM
Using Shamir's Secret Sharing, the seed phrase can be divided into two in a way that each halve will be useless to hackers if seen. But using the common sense to separate the seed phrase, if one halve of it is known to hackers, it is possible to know the other halve of the phrase.

Shamirs secret sharing scheme is a N out of M scheme, which means you can not only divide it into 2 shares, but a (somewhat) freely chosen amount of shares.
The reason such a scheme is used, is that having N-1 shares does reveal any information about the secret at all. You inevitably need all N shares to learn the secret.

I don't know about others but I do back up with a private email address that I dont use for any online things[...]

Emails are unencrypted.
If you not explicitly encrypt the content, the mail server (i.e. your mail provider) can read the content.

1575  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum not recognizing coldcard on: June 18, 2020, 10:14:51 AM
To troubleshoot, first check whether windows is actually recognizing the device (i.e. by looking in the hardware manager).
Depending on whether this is the case, you can slowly localize the problem (e.g. its the HW <-> Windows connection or electrum related).

On a side note.. stop using windows 7. It is an unsecure piece of sh*t.
If you care about security at least a little bit.. don't use it. That's like an open barn door with a huge sign stating vulnerable.

The update to windows 10 was free for a very long time. It might still be possible to update it for free.
If you want to continue using windows, at least update to a version with more security features which at least somewhat protect you.
1576  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum bitcoin wallet review 2020 on: June 18, 2020, 10:10:20 AM
Unlike modern wallets containing countless features, [...]

Actually, electrum is one of the wallets with the most (standard but useful) features available.

A lot of wallets still don't let you select which Inputs to spend. Or to freeze inputs.
Fee estimation using the size of the mempool is not included in a lot of wallets too.

You can adjust a lot in electrum, which then offers quite some features.

Features like coinjoin and paynyms are still missing tho. However, a lot of features which aren't included in other wallets are included in electrum making it a feature-rich wallet IMO.
1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Did UTXO not exist in the very beginning of Bitcoin? on: June 18, 2020, 10:04:24 AM
If you send multiple utxos to an address they don't get combined together.

They do get combined if you send them in one transaction, but won't if you send them in multiple.

OP, the address received multiple transactions and therefore accumulated multiple UTXO's.
Then later, he sent some of them (but not all).

So everything is fine here. Every transaction works on a UTXO basis, from the very first transaction.

You always have to fully use an UTXO. But you don't have to spend all UTXO's associated to the same public key.
1578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Anonymous Bitcoins on: June 18, 2020, 09:58:49 AM
If you care about privacy in terms of no link between where you received your coins from and where you send them to, yes.
That's what a mixer is for.

However, i would suggest to use a more reputable one.

Regarding the other cryptos mentioned here.. ZCASH, Dash, etc.. are not anynomous.
They claim to be.. but they aren't.
The only crypto which is private by design, is monereo. Everything else is just faking to be anonymous.
1579  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Clipper on: June 18, 2020, 09:48:36 AM
Its less a "Bitcoin Clipper" than a clipboard hijacking malware.

An easy way of getting rid of this forever is by running a scan on your computer for bitcoin clippers and other viruses by a professional.

AV's won't detect it.

Another simply way is just double/triple check your bitcoin address before sending.

That's actually something you should always do.
And don't download shitty unknown software.

You won't mine 1k$ BTC per hour with this new high-end_miner.exe which is free.

Use your common sense.
1580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For Crypto Users: Reasons why we should not download pirated softwares on: June 18, 2020, 09:46:01 AM
How can this easily be solved?
Scan files with virustotal.com first. It's a legit site and it will always tell you if there is a virus. However, sometimes it will give you something called a false positive, where virustotal thinks there is a virus but there isn't.

No.
No AV will detect properly written malware.
They can just detect already publicly known malware by checking the signatures.

Another approach would be to use runtime analysis, which also can be circumvented.

Do never trust an AV to determine whether a file is malicious or not. You can never be sure.

Another way to do it is by buying a VPS (virtual private server). You can download things on there without harm because it's not on your computer.

You can't run resource heavy software on a cheap VPS.
Additionally, if the VPS is compromised your PC can easily get compromised to by logging into it using ssh.

So that's not an option either.
