Scheint leider so, ja.

Phishing?

I agree with TryNinja, it doesn't make sense! Does any one know why BlueWallet doesn't allow importing wallets that have no history?

It is probably the same reason as why exodus doesn't allow you to create a backup (showing mnemonic code of your wallet) until you have actually funded one of your addresses:
Bad implementation, bad wallet.

Whenever possible, avoid such wallets.
1463  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: All used addresses on: July 03, 2020, 03:54:06 PM
In this case you could proceed as mentioned above.

Use core to sync the whole blockchain with the txindex flag.
Then build a database using this data.
1464  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: All used addresses on: July 03, 2020, 01:49:33 PM
How to dump  mainnet all used addresses without balance or tx ?
If there are no balance and also no tx
He's asking for used addresses, so they must have received a transaction at some point.

And at the same time he is asking for addresses without a balance/transaction, so they have to be unused.

Since the request itself is illogical, we need to wait for OP to clarify his request.

@OP
In case you are simply looking for used addresses: Download core and the whole blockchain with the txindex flag.
You will have the complete data.
Then you just need to extract what you are searching for.

This way you don't need to rely on a 3rd party which takes weeks to download from.
Depending on your processing power and bandwidth, syncing the whole blockchain might be much faster.
1465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is SCAMALERT on: July 03, 2020, 01:37:29 PM
The common scams are:

Since when is the "Dark Web" a scam?
A relatively anonymous network where human right activists in countries like china can communicate with each other and the western world without having to fear that they will be murdered is considered a scam ?

That's like saying "The internet" is a scam.

Both is simply wrong. Scams take place on the internet. Scams take place in the hidden part of the internet. But this doesn't mean that everything automatically is a scam.
1466  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is Exodus a good wallet? on: July 03, 2020, 01:19:18 PM
Exodus is pretty good.

Not really, no.

build-in exchange (but the fees are high)

Instant exchanges are the worst way of exchanging coins.
They lock up funds regularly and systematically for "security reasons" and require KYC.
Most of them (e.g. changelly) even lie about their country of origin.

and 24/7 support.

Which can't help you because they don't have access to your funds.

I don't like that you’re not able to choose the fee of your transactions. Some smaller wallets like OWNR provide the option to set variable transaction fees.

Every half-way decent wallet allows you to choose the fee.

p.s. Exodus doesn't require passing kyc Wink

Neither does any other non-custodial wallet.
They can't force you to do KYC if they don't have access to your coins.
1467  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to restore electrum wallet using other client on: July 03, 2020, 01:12:44 PM
As others have mentioned already, electrum mnemonics can not be used in other (BIP 39) wallets.

However, if all servers stop running this doesn't mean that you can't access your funds anymore.
You can still just open electrum and export the master private key or the individual private keys. These can be imported into most wallets.

You'll just need an electrum executable. You could either archive one yourself, or clone the github repo to build it from source if necessary.

Instead of exporting/importing the private keys you might as well just create a transaction and use any other service to broadcast it.
1468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Coinomi BUG or ...? on: July 03, 2020, 01:09:14 PM
i run kaspersky + malwarebytes licensed version

This doesn't mean anything.

coinomiwas downloaded from official website ....

We hear that extremely often. And in the end the user made a mistake and it was a phishing site.
Did you at least verify the checksum?

Code:
.exe checksum (SHA256):65b3d96a0ff403fee6166be5149df9f270466b3ed24ba77bcf3c58cb7a815607

Not that hosting the executable and the checksum on the same page would be secure.. but at least that's something.

Could you answer mocacinno's question?
Did your system load increase dramatically while this event was happening?

Generally, i would recommend you to not use coinomi.
There are better and more secure wallets available.
1469  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best way to store bitcoins safely without a hardware wallet(ledger, etc) on: July 03, 2020, 12:39:45 PM
If bitcoin is illegal which prevent OP from buying hardware wallet, it's likely that using VPN/Tor is illegal or blocked by government.

It is not that trivial to block VPN communication.
It can be masked to almost look like regular HTTPS traffic (assuming you are using your own VPN server).

The most common blocking techniques are by IP and Ports.
Not using a public VPN provider and connecting to an abnormal port (e.g. 443) would already help quite a lot.

Further, to prevent deep packet inspection where the traffic has to be decrypted, using a strong cipher and certificates to not connect to a man-in-the-middle is recommended.

VPN/tor isn't banned, the only thing banned is crypto, and I just want to store a sum of bitcoins in a wallet and leave it there for months+ I don't usually use crypto to transact anyways, only holding

Then just generate a paper wallet.
You can even do so without downloading/using any wallet.
1470  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best way to store bitcoins safely without a hardware wallet(ledger, etc) on: July 02, 2020, 02:11:43 PM
What could go wrong with having a offline device to store your wallst on? Any risks I should be worried about?

Well, don't lose your device. And you should have a backup.

But the important question (which you didn't answer yet) is how often you want to send BTC.
If it is quite often, you need some form of watch-only wallet to create unsigned transactions.

And here is the difficulty. You need to make sure that you are not leaking any information (i.e. that you install / use that wallet) to your ISP (or who are you trying to hide it from?).

If you don't trust your ISP -> Use a VPN and Tor. (This btw is one of the rare cases where a VPN actually is useful; If you trust your ISP, do NOT use a VPN).
And do not use winodws. Use linux and encrypt your installation. This is important.
1471  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain wallet shows innsufficient funds when trynig to send btc on: July 02, 2020, 02:06:20 PM
I did everything correctly I choose Legacy and I choose BIP39  and it works and I see all my transaction.
But still 0 MBTC.

Then this wallet simply is empty.
Check blockchain.com more closely. You may have some BTC in another "account" or "wallet" or whatever it is called there.

Or it might simply be buggy (which wouldn't be unusual at all because blockchain.com is extremely bad).

  • Hast du das "Gap limit" verändert (also in der Konsole in Electrum was eingegeben) ?
  • Fangen alle Adressen in deinem "leeren" electrum wallet mit "1.." an ?
  • Woher hast du die Adresse ursprünglich ?

1473  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best way to store bitcoins safely without a hardware wallet(ledger, etc) on: July 02, 2020, 12:36:36 PM
What about Electrum? They do have a backup seed when you create a wallet no?

Every wallet does so, yes.
But if bitcoin is illegal in your country, you probably don't want to use a wallet which leaks any possible information about you.

The question is, how often do you plan on using BTC?
If it is just for storage and accumulation, then go with an encrypted paper wallet.

If you need to transact often, use a privacy-orientated wallet. Either something like samourai for android or wasabi for a desktop system.
Do not use windows. Do not go online with your wallet device.
1474  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has 2^512 bit security on: July 02, 2020, 12:20:58 PM
Bitcoins security strength is at 128 bit.
With ECDSA on secp256k1 and a key size of 256 bit, the strength is at 128 bit.

2512 bit is an absurdly large number and completely off. But i guess you meant 512 bit.
ECDSA's security is dependend on the key size. With a key length of 2n bit, the bit strength (security) is at 2n-1 bit.

But I disagree with that.

No. That's nothing one can agree or disagree with.
You can either decide to accept or to deny it.
1475  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Running personal server for Electrum on: July 02, 2020, 09:50:40 AM
They can have some more target categories like 0.001xx, 0.005xxx, 0.01xxm 0.05xxx, 0.2xxx, 0.5xxx and even more instead of only 0.1xxx

These options will be added later if (and when) enough people use wasabi and want to participate in a coinjoin.
Adding them now would just increase the wait time for everyone.

And IMO 0.001 BTC is way too low to mix. The demand would need to be quite high for that denomination to be added.
1476  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: NEED HELP! BTC SENDOUT A DAY AGO WITHOUT TXN ID AND IN PENDING QUE on: June 30, 2020, 10:17:34 PM
For the future:

If the sending address does not belong you (i.e. you don't have access to the private key, which you don't have if the address belongs to an exchange), the only thing you could do is a CPFP (Child pays for parent).
This means you spend the unconfirmed inputs in a transaction with a fee high enough to pay for both transactions.

But if you aren't in a hurry, the best thing is to wait.

You can always check the current mempool on http://core.jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,24h.

As you can see, the mempool got quite congested within the last 24 hours, which means that transactions either 1) will take longer to confirm or 2) are more costly because a higher fee needs to be paid.
1477  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wasabi Wallet 1.0 Is Released on: June 30, 2020, 06:42:43 PM
Sorry but in windows 10 wasabi software i dont found the way to delete one wallet. Is important for me because in the wallet0 i dont set the pasword but i learn i dont whrote the seed neither  Sad so is a wallet useless.

Wait, did i understand you correctly that you did not wrote down your mnemonic code ?
How were you able to create your 2nd mnemonic with the password then? Or did you create a new one?

Nevertheless, make sure to have a backup of your mnemonic code for every wallet you want to use.

To delete a wallet in windows, navigate to C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\WalletWasabi.
Then there is a file for each wallet: walletname.json.
1478  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer/Impersonator hip3r/bizoxi/elmanchez on: June 30, 2020, 01:27:53 PM
After reading the first 30 posts in this topic (while ignoring Telegram screenshots), I still haven't seen any convincing evidence.

Since the whole conversation took place on telegram, it is quite hard to find evidence without looking at the chat log.
But elmanchez himself confirmed, that this was his account:

~snip~
@elmanchez, did you contact the OP on Telegram, and are you Telegram user @hookgo?
Right!

Quote
Regarding the linked thread.. i mean come on.. Who receives a message saying "please send a message containing address X to account Y" and does exactly that.
The other thread was indeed more convincing. It was dumb to PM someone else's addy, but I can imagine how a naive person trying to be fast does something like that.

IMO it is more than just suspicious, that
  • He was involved in the linked scam by sending an address he does not possess to some random person
  • He suggested hip3r to register on this forum to have another channel for his (hip3r's) business. They allegedly met on another crypto forum. But afterwards hip3r refers OP to elmanchez. This doesn't make sense
  • He lied about previous deals with hip3r by claiming they already made deals. hip3r on the other hand was denying that.
  • He contacted Lucius via PM and asked him whether he wants to trade PP for BTC, without them both ever having deal nor Lucius asking for such a deal somewhere

While there is no evidence that he intentionally scammed the other person in the linked thread, and no evidence that he indeed tried to scam OP, the are enough signs to assume that he indeed actively tries to scam others.
The same applies to all these new ponzis. There is no concrete evidence, that they are not paying 100% daily. But there are enough signs to believe that this is a scam.

If there were some unassailable evidence, both a type #1 and type #3 flag would be appropriate. However, i agree with you that this is not the case here.

The main warning should be: don't use Telegram for users you don't know!

I'd even go farther and would say to not use telegram at all.
Deleting message from the other parties chatlog is retarded.

There are better messengers available.
Either Signal (which uses old ID's in from of a mobile number), that's probably not what people want to use on the internet or Threema (which costs a few bucks), which people are not ready to pay because they are extremely cheap and don't want to spend 2-3$ for a secure communication application.
1479  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Anbieter von Bitcoin Prepaid Kreditkarte on: June 30, 2020, 12:57:38 PM

The first thing i'd like to know is whether the signature is valid.

Monbux was last active May 14, 2020, 01:41:32 PM.

I doubt this mail is from him.
Could you please forward this email to alice.bob123@web.de ? I want to check the mail header (whether the address is spoofed) and the PGP signature.
