AFAIK, no one is selling dev's coins right now. Developers lose their stake in percentage to overall supply quite quickly. And if they start to sell, the price will plummet.

If all is so bad you could easily sell your coins (if any) on the exchange and get some cash for walmart. Or you could create those bots a little bit cheaper. However it seems to me that nothing of this will happen.

The price is really low at the moment - about 200 sat. But it won't last long I guess.

- user executes a command with the bot and adds his DNA address as an argument
- the bot watches if the node that belongs to that address is online
- user could easily also choose an individual timespan at which the online status should be checked
- if the node isn't online anymore, the bot sends a Telegram / Discord message to the user that added the address
- the monitoring of the node could be easily added and removed by the user
- the service would be free. not payment involved
- no possibility for the bot to actually scam you or anything like that since no RFC call is used and bot is not deployed on users system. it would be just a centralized service that would watch identities that belong to specific wallets.
- no security issues at all since the bot would analyse data that is currently present on the explorer. it would just automate the check for online status

- Can create polls with configurable answers
- Poll can be set to end on a specific date
- Each option for the poll will have it's own DNA address
- Users can send DNA to each of the possible addresses
- The amount sent doesn't matter. Sending is only used to get "in touch" with validated identities
- At the end-date of the poll, bot will count all unique transactions for each poll option, but only from accounts that are validated
- After poll ends, bot will post result in Telegram IDENA group
- The sent amount of coins will not be returned. so it makes sense to only send very small amounts. basically the minimum amount to be able to create a transaction. Around 0.0000000000000200 DNA
- Everyone (if verified) can create it's own poll with it's own answers

- i can imagine three types of votes:
1) largest number of votes wins (users just send a minimum amount to an address so that the bot counts their vote)
2) largest amount of DNA wins (users send DNA to the addresses and the vote that gets most DNA wins. every other transaction for every other address will get refunded to the users that payed it - or maybe not, that could be optional)
3) funding proposals (not really a vote, but a proposal with a DNA address and everyone, not only validated accounts, could send DNA in and if a specific amount is reached until date X then the proposal is funded and bot pays the amount out to the address of the developer)
- not sure i want to run this service (bot) since there is DNA involved, i'd hope that admins are willing to run it but if not, i would most probably do it.
- admins of the bot could always extend the enddate or close a vote earlier if necessary
- option that i need to check out first: the bot could generate the DNA addresses that are needed for the votes and thus admins would not need to add an address for each vote manually. but i'm not sure how easy that is. have to check it out first

I can't agree with you about flips getting better. Below is given statistics on validation results:

Epoch #32: 625 flips in total, 3.2% of which are with weak consensus, 3.5% are without consensus, 2.0% are bad flips
Epoch #33: 729 flips in total, 3.8% of which are with weak consensus, 5.1% are without consensus, 2.3% are bad flips
Epoch #34: 887 flips in total, 7.1% of which are with weak consensus, 7.8% are without consensus, 1.1% are bad flips

So percentage of flips with weak consensus and without consensus is rising constantly.

First three options aren't easier than fourth. But in first case you are ended up with $3000 invested in a project and can hope for some dividends on that sum. In 4th option you can only hope for dividends on your $8/month worth of investment. Yeah, you can buy additional coins to get some leverage too. But buying/selling DNA is a problem currently cause there is no any exchange yet.

Why total mined sum differs so much on scan.idena.io website from one epoch to another?

Example:
for epoch #0011 (10/08/19 - 10/12/19, 4 days) total mined is 363,101.98 DNA
for epoch #0013 (10/16/19 - 10/20/19, 4 days) total mined is 247,992.00 DNA

Other epochs also differ significantly from each other. Why is that? I thought that this sum is easy to calculate for any epoch of 4 days:
51840 x 4 = 207,360.00 DNA.

No, I believe that penalty roughly equals to 10 hours worth of mining and that relation doesn't change with epochs passing by.

Is there any statistics about percentage of virtual servers (AWS, DO) being used for hosting nodes among all nodes? Is such percentage being significant considered to be bad for decentralization?

The main concern for me is definitely premined part of the supply. Maybe some rigid plan of spending/selling of this sum over time (the budget) would make this whole thing more transparent and trustful for newcomers.

Думаю, что кризис уже сказался на крипте, т.к. по сути она грохнулась первой и при этом всех круче, ну разве что Боливар сильнее пострадал. 
А кризис меж тем ещё только начинается. При всём при этом думаю, что намного сильнее чем сейчас крипта уже не упадет - максимум еще раза в три сложимся по битку. Т.е. крипта вполне может стать своеобразным убежищем для смелых в разгар кризиса, именно благодаря тому, что большая часть падения в ней уже отыграна, и расти она тоже может начать первой.

Я планирую ближайшие полгода покупать крипту по чуть-чуть. Буду брать каждый месяц примерно на 1/6 от запланированной изначально суммы. Сначала больше биток, затем (при  появлении признаков роста) - буду альты подбирать. Если же падение не остановится через полгода, буду ещё год продолжать данную процедуру, только уже с двухмесячными интервалами.
