Can anybody tell me if everyone should re-run benchmarks once in a while, like after difficulty increase? If NiceHash is switching algos based on benched profitability, the values may be false after a while, or I'm mistaken?

Good question. Anyone?
1722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: June 27, 2017, 02:10:59 PM
I just got home and my GPU temp was really low... the ccminer window indicated that mining stopped about 4 hours ago.

Is there a way to prevent this? Eventually all I had to do was click Stop/Start again.

Edit; Does this happen often? I could write a simple tool that will close/launch NiceHash every 60 mins or so..?
1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: June 26, 2017, 07:47:27 PM
but in the long run when it recovers, we should be fine.

I like you for saying "when" and not "if". Smiley

value of coins drop nothing we could do about it

Oh, ok. Damn I feel stupid. :$

I tried earning more and kept playing with my gpu settings.. Now I'm earning less than ever. Can someone help?
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: June 26, 2017, 04:06:23 PM
also, by your screenshot are you at 50% power?  the ti can go to 70% for max hash usually, try that? Smiley  (i own several ti's)

Do you use the asus tweak tool?
What temps are you having? What temps should I reach for? Any help on how to increase the earnings would be welcome.. Thanks Smiley

What you minning?

Whatever NiceHash is mining for me. Any other suggestions that bring in more $$$?
1728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie started mining - GPU Asus GTX 1080 Ti STRIX on: June 25, 2017, 07:44:23 PM
Hmm, was that picture taken today?

Strange that you're making 7.11 eur/day, it should be well under 6 eur/day by today's calculations...

Yes, Nicehash pays in BTC directly.

Yes, taken today. The average earnings per day seem to fluctuate a bit.
5.68 as we speak.

Quote
For a short while NiceHash gave 11+ euro per day as an average.

Only for a short while. It was Pascal I believe.

Edited to add:
20 mins later:

7.32 now. I'll let you know when 24 hours have passed.
1729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie started mining - GPU Asus GTX 1080 Ti STRIX on: June 25, 2017, 07:38:25 PM
Then, if you try mining btc with a computer...

I thought NiceHash mined several alt-coins but not btc? NiceHash just pays in BTC, right?
1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie started mining - GPU Asus GTX 1080 Ti STRIX on: June 25, 2017, 07:25:56 PM
Do you pay electricity bills ?

Yes. I have access to "relatively" cheap power.

Did you build your rig only for mining ?

Yes.

What was the investments for it ?

1190 euros.

6-7$ a day, it will take time before you get your ROI (if it's possible)

At least 6 - 8 months. I guess it's an experiment.
For a short while NiceHash gave 11+ euro per day as an average. We'll see.

I have hope that BTC will rise in value during the next 6 months or so.

And then you just enter whatever you want??

No, it will then re-run benchmark with your current GPU settings and save new values.

Totally worth it, now hitting 7+ eur a day and relatively staying cool (41 C° CPU, 59°C GPU). Thanks!

Oh ok. i'll give it a try. Thanks for the help. Smiley

Is it possible to "override" the benchmarked speed results in order to get even better results??

Yes, it's possible in the 1.7.12 or what is the number. Just select radio button that says benchmark already benchmarked algos.

And then you just enter whatever you want??
1735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: June 25, 2017, 05:56:20 PM

I am "only" earning 4.28 euros a day. Can someone give me some pointers on how to earn more?

Have you benchmarked and enabled all algorithms?

Yes. I must say that I played around with overclocking. I used the ASUS Tweak II app, and I'm now getting 6 - 6,15 euros a day. That's better, right? CPU temp at 41-42 degrees C, GPU at 59-60 degrees C.

NiceHash can not connect to the equihash server..
No anti-virus, no firewall... What's wrong? Anybody got ideas?

Other miners seem to be working fine.

1737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Please help nicehash eqm not connecting on: June 25, 2017, 05:48:41 PM
Same problem here. lyra2rev2 and other work perfect, equihash seems to lose connection over and over.. Suggestions?
No firewall, anti-virus, ...
1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this ether mining rig profitable? on: June 21, 2017, 09:09:22 PM
Still setting up. Still have work to do.

Cheap but decent components. Most expensive component was the Asus GTX 1080TI STRIX graphics card.

I'll be doing some nicehash benchmarks soon.
1739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this ether mining rig profitable? on: June 21, 2017, 08:36:03 PM
All my questions have been answered. I'm setting up my mining rig as we speak. Thanks!

Jdope and Vaccinus, I'll send you a PM.
