Micon - "I am not the law, but my parents were siblings" *

*Yes I am fighting him at his level, perhaps then he'll leave?

It's funny how you insult people by calling them "inbred", implying some kind of intellectual deficiency.

Don't you see how ridiculous that is when those you insult still have all their coins, yet you were dumb enough to invest in every single ponzi available?

If you had listened to Bryan Micon instead of insulting him, you would still have your coins. Now, because you were so ignorant and unwise, you have lost god knows how many.

Micon is a little bit crazy. Most pro poker players are. However, he had the wisdom, the foresight and the kindness to warn everyone about these ponzi schemes. The fact that you chose to ignore him is testament to your own lack of wisdom. A fool and his money are easily parted.

I just can't believe that, considering the embarrassing position you have put yourself in, you have the audacity to insult him or anyone else. Maybe it's some pathetic way to regain some dignity in this situation? I can't believe that you have lost so much money and instead of thinking "Fuck maybe I should have listened to that guy who was telling everyone it was a big scam" you are like "I am going to insult a guy who tried to warn me." It's beyond juvenile and beyond stupid.

It actually makes so little sense that you have me wondering if your parents actually are related in some way and your comments are some kind of projection to deal with the shame of losing money in obviously unsound "investments" and the worry that it might somehow be connected to the fact that your folks were 2nd cousins or something. I don't know, I am just speculating about why you are acting in such a bizarre and obnoxious way.

Wow, it took Mosrite a while to get out of the newbie area.

^ Thinks nefario will pay everyone back.

You're exactly right only the big fish need worry. Hope he keeps to him self and they don't have record of them. All the small fish need not worry but don't expect Nefario to go out of his way to take care of you if it steps on any government toes right now he wont do it. For all one knows he bites the bullet gets the law off his back and does everyone right in time. Someone of that caliber is rare and should not be expected. You do dirt you get dirt sometimes. That's how the game works.

I did nothing wrong.  All I did was open an account (on Oct 4th), and deposit 50 BTC.  Then boom, it's all gone.  I wanted to buy some shares of ASICMINER, but did not get the chance to.

How is any of this "dirt"?

I feel your pain, sucks when a exchange confidence scam decides its time to pack up shop before the restless natives decide to burn your house to the ground. I had not even accomplished anything on the site due to their terrible customer service. And then Nefario decides to close up shop and pocket my btc.

Did you ask him if we can have the fees back we paid for an IPO he now will not provide since he has turned tail and run away?

If the IPO took place right before the shut-down I would imagine they would be paid back.  You best contacting - support@glbse.com

Never even got that far, they never answered any emails.

I for one have a lot of sympathy toward Nefario, there have been missteps but what he (and other shareholders) were trying to accomplish was out of this world.

And he deserves some support from the community.

+1 running the GLBSE was probably where Nafario made his living.  The GLBSE was his brainchild and he was very passionate about it.  For him to stop trading on the GLBSE must have been a very big and important decision to make.  He wouldn't shut it down for the fun of it and is definitely not trying to steal coins or scam.  So he definitely does not deserve the scammer tag.  Also Theymous its in your interest to make sure Nafario's legal fees get paid over GLBSE matters rather than slandering him and nominating him for a scammer tag from the community.

I do not think so, he deserves to be doxed and haunted for the rest of the time he uses the internet by the online mob.

You are just a troll, probably an adolescent and insecure  Roll Eyes

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Although my kids may disagree with your opinion of me. Anyway, I have seen people doxed on here for stealing 20btc. Anyone here lose more than that to nefarios disregard for his own rules, laws, or ethics? The scammer tag in this case would ensure that none of these people would ever choose to do business with someone who so obviously has no regard for their own customers or the standards the pretend to uphold.

Yeah maybe for the best, seems like it may have been a bait and switch tactic?

I just had a chance to look at the ufasoft program and I think their gui looks great. What did you not like about it?

Yesterday my antivirus started picking out trojans in the ufasoft program, maybe I got a bad copy, where did you get your download at?

Quote
Nefario has defrauded me and others in several different ways and deserves a scammer tag.
- The BitcoinGlobal bylaws state that BitcoinGlobal's purpose is to operate GLBSE. By shutting down GLBSE without amending the bylaws, Nefario has violated the bylaws.
- He has stated that he would ignore any motion to remove him as CEO.
- He is knowingly making BitcoinGlobal shares worthless, violating his fiduciary duty.
- He is refusing to release my GLBSE balance without my ID, which I did not agree to.

Theymos has backed up all of these with evidence, and I'm satisfied the burden of proof has been met, even for the last point, which I didn't initially buy (MtGox anyone?).

However, if Nefario is being compelled to do these things under threat of force (govt), should he still be given the scammer tag? Normally the burden of proof would be on him to prove he's under duress, but what if he's not allowed to, again under threat of force? That was one of my first concerns with the situation with Nefario/Goat, and it still is now.

Laws and regulations are a pain, and make things a lot more complicated than they need to be.

Glad your keeping us all in check badbear, better to have this looked at rationally then its not questioned later.

Lets get a pic of Nefario taking stock ticker symbols and flicking them off the stock ticker listings and in the background give him a getaway boat with a stack of bitcoins sitting on the boat. And have pirate telling him to come on the mob will be here soon or something like that. And add whatever else you want to it Tongue Maybe have a note on his desk or whatever that says "Sorry, no refunds."

2175  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario GLBSE on: October 06, 2012, 01:27:55 PM
I think accepting fees for a service he was knowingly going to close down a couple days later makes him no better than any other scammer who simply accepts payment and does not deliver.

We will begin retuning bitcoin once we have recieved all coins from the GLBSE treasurer that manages the GLBSE cash reserves. BitcoinGlobal (GLBSE's partent company) shareholders and board voted for them to be returned immediately, we are awaiting compliance with this order.

What nonsense. I hold a very small percentage of user funds. 600-800 BTC. He can't even start paying back users without that? And I already said I'd send that part to him. He hasn't given me an address yet.

I wouldnt send him anything, it will just go into his lawyers pocket.
