 ?? If their avatar is a penguin of some sort they are a linux supporter they hate windows. But so do we, but its readily available and has a low learning curve. Anyway, if you need a pc, you could win the contest, and opt for an equivalent priced item that happens to be a netbook/laptop on the site. I know there are a few in the same price range. |

What is going on with Devtome.com ? It is not responding it seems...

It's up. Yeah i was having issues connecting to it at points throughout today... but seems ok now.... will jkeep an eye on it, but what protection have we against a DDOS? not saying they will but incentive for people with large investment in writing to stop people from posting on the site for next few days so that the number of shares does not increase too much.... what would happen in such a situation? Hmm if it becomes an issue we can move the site to the beast mode server. But I have nit been able to duplicate it so far. What time roughly was it. |

You might want to try a lottery, provably fair based on either the bitcoin block chain or the hash of a megalotto result, because if it's for the most articles after a while it'll be obvious that most people don't have a chance, so the incentive would be gone.
Touche. Good point. Let us also have a drawing on the 1st of june. For a second of the same prize. Unthinkingbit would you do the honors for the random drawing of the winner. So one is a goal based prize and one just full luck. The article one is the only one with the free accessory. Lastly the users that are wanting to enter will have to have a sig on their account stating something about dvc. Lets brainstorm for that now. I don't see the benefit from posting for the sake of it, the articles are what make money and we're already accounting for them. Their posts on recent threads around the forum for that month would give devcoin free advertising for the month since it would be in their signature on each thread. Could I get suggestions for the signature text/links/whatever we should have them post in their signature. They do not have to delete the rest of the info in the signature though IMO. Devtome, Where you get paid for sharing Devcoin, Supporting starving developers since 2011 :-) Lol nice |

Until he resets it, it may be difficult, the people who are in the game now are pretty ingrained and control everything already. You may need to wait for the games next "round" when he starts everyone from scratch.

Can someone explain to me EXACTLY what The Galactic Milieu is and how it pertains to DVC??? I want to know how it pertains to CPU mining, and how DVC/BTC are tied in to this.
Its a mmo, markm has integrated the various coins into the game to be used for exchanges as a currency. |
