1021  Economy / Economics / Re: What has really been behind china's economy on: November 16, 2023, 06:45:41 PM

The other day,  Pawal7777 was talking about recession hitting CANADA, and that's how other countries are having one difficulty here and there economically. So my point is, what economical indices is china adopting to keep their economy afloat?

The strength of the Chinese economy cannot be explained without returning to its historical process since its liberation from Japanese colonialism during World War II. Under Mao's leadership, China adopted many economic models that were inappropriate for the country's specificities. These policies were a blind imitation of the policies of the Soviet Union, and when Brezhnev tried to dissuade them from implementing them, they accused him of revisionism and continued with a policy that relied solely on agriculture and steel production, which led to a famine that killed more than 50 million people. This is only one example of the decline that the Chinese economy suffered from for decades before it realized the best way to build a solid economy based on diversifying resources and encouraging free productivity under planning by the state (the ruling party), which transformed communism from a closed theory into an open policy resembling imperialism. . This is since China is interested in opening new markets, but not in military policies.
You've outlined the historically trajectory of the social political activities that has enveloped overtime in china, however a policy looks like in the theory, if it is not physically manifesting then that theory is just existing in the papers, from what you just outlined, it shows how they've overtime develop policies that are human oriented and that can expand their economic base to what we currently see in this present time.

the economy of China will not grow if they just manufacture different kinds of products that the companies owned by other countries like Apple or Samsung. growing rich means that people will also demand something more. thus the introduction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). they invest not just inside their country but expand. they invest in countries where they build their trains from China to the West.

they grew their influence from Kazakhstan going to Turkey and will probably reach to UK if no resistance from other parties. they mean business with their policies that why there was no resistance against them in Africa and even in the Middle East so they also improve the lives of those countries they expand.

I will let you know if there are any updates. Thanks again.

^ this post should have been inserted into the OP so that users will be updated with what is going on under the thread. kinda like a note: update... under the first post.

everyone is trying to achieve the quota. if this is something that could be added to the rules in the forum, a lot of users will be purged because even the reply of the OP is not seen. maybe Theymos can make the OP replies under the thread be colored to be noticed so that people scrolling down will see some updates of what OP did after. or probably just turn this (OP) to pink?  Grin
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disadvantage of bitcoin on: November 16, 2023, 06:06:03 PM
Now my question is, do you think losing all of one’s coins simply because they didn’t have access to their wallet or key is already enough disadvantage for bitcoin against the local banks ?
I guess that is the "disadvantage" we have to live with if we want to be our own bank. the thing is, no one is forcing anyone to invest in Bitcoin and be their own bank, anyone who wants to invest in Bitcoin need to know all the risk that they are taking and be prepared for what can happen.

I for one understand the risk of losing my coins if I lose access to my wallets, if anyone is not up for that they can simply just avoid Bitcoin.
I don't really know what op means by disadvantages of Bitcoin when he doesn't even know how the whole thing works. I am mostly surprised seeing people just writing whatsoever they like a out Bitcoin without critical thinking. For us to make profits from the market if we are true fan of Bitcoin, we need to invest in Bitcoin and promote it by all means nit coming here to write what we like without understanding much about what's Bitcoin stands for. I think op should go and read the Bitcoin white paper for clarification rather than trying to tell us about the disadvantage of Bitcoin.

that's not what OP was saying. he was even trying to question what those ads are doing trying to tell the Bitcoin community of the minor disadvantage when in fact it is a feature of BTC.  the question should have been, will this disadvantage be enough for a Bitcoin holder to decide to deposit his BTC to a bank?

i think he understands Bitcoin well and for that, it is a rhetorical question. everyone knows BTC wallet is already a bank itself.
but just for the next question. come to think of it. a bitcoin holder will die and he needs to pass on his coins to his sons and daughters, will he need a bank?
1024  Economy / Economics / Re: Boycotting iSrAEl's product? think again. on: November 16, 2023, 05:15:25 PM
Israel attacked Gaza ?! Are you serious?  Huh
Here is some FACT: "On October 7, 2023, the holiday of Simchat Torah, when Palestinian terrorist groups, of which Hamas is the largest, launched a large-scale invasion of Israel from the Gaza Strip, breaking the barrier between the Gaza Strip and Israel and infiltrating into nearby Israeli population centers and military installations. The invasion began in the early morning hours of October 7 with the launching of between 2,500 and 5,000 rockets into Israel from the Gaza Strip and the infiltration of more than 2,500 militants by land, sea and air into Israeli territory, including border kibbutzim and the city of Sderot. At least 1,400 Israelis were killed (including hundreds of music festival attendees). Civilians and soldiers were taken hostage, Israeli civilians were massacred, and there were incidents of sexual violence against Israeli women."

The attack on 7 October was true but do you know the concept that there will be no smoke if there is no fire? You must be aware that when the attack on 7 October was carried out it happened because for decades the Palestinians have always been deprived of their freedom and of course let alone humans who have brains even if it is an ant class animal will bite if it continues to be disturbed although maybe you will not believe this because the world turns a blind eye when Zionists take various actions against civilians in Palestine even though there have been many lives that will only escape the media because they think Palestinians are real terrorists.

In addition, maybe you should also include another fact that the majority of civilians and soldiers who died during the 7 October attack were mostly killed by Israeli tanks and weapons themselves and that has been confirmed by Israel directly (If you read the news) and still open your eyes about this.

I am still very surprised why the excuse of self-defence is always promoted for the massacre of civilians which is clearly a genocide that is plastered in front of us all.

For some reason, you are now trying to change the cause-and-effect relationship and deliberately forget part of the story.
And I can easily prove this! 1947. This year, two states were actually created - Israel and Palestine. Israel began to develop and build its country on its historical lands. At the same time, I will say right away that the history of these lands is very complex, and it passed from one empire to another many times. Different peoples came and left there. Israel began to revive its statehood. And Palestine had the same chance and opportunity. BUT... then a conflict began, which led to the fact that... Jordan occupied the lands that began to be called the West Bank, and Egypt - what is now called Gaza. Have you forgotten about this? Regarding Jordan and Egypt - as I understand it, you have no complaints or questions? Was everything good there?
Then there were several more attempts to destroy Israel by a group of countries, and they were actively supported by... one of the creators of Israel - the USSR.
Israel defeated its enemies, after which an active anti-Israeli hysteria and all sorts of attempts to cause harm to Israel began, which continues to this day. No, these countries did not help the population of Palestine, did not help them build their own state, build cities and build an economy. They do not have a goal to CREATE, they have a goal - to try to destroy Israel. And they used and are still using the Palestinians as a living force for the release of these plans. It was October 7 that became another attempt, at the hands of Hamas militants, with the support of the governments of several countries, to attack Israel again. For which they are now receiving a legal response. True, once again exposing the residents of Gaza to attack.

And another question completely on topic: why don’t the heads of terrorist countries renounce Western prosperity, boycott the dollar, expensive cars, expensive watches, clothes, iPhones and others? Smiley
PS I don’t even ask why they incite the Palestinians and others to “go to Israel”, but they themselves don’t go to “fight for Palestine”, but sit out in comfortable conditions, warm, cosy, well-fed and satisfied Smiley

who created these two states?
countries in the Middle East are as old as Egypt. countries that were already there long before Christ was born. suddenly someone created two states. Cheesy
it doesn't really matter now because they are now established. they do have governments in fact the first president of Israel has a Palestine passport.

boycotting though will only fuel the war. if they are up to make peace, they just put walls on each other and not grab each other's land.
there is no adult in the room anymore but just keep shooting.

1025  Economy / Economics / Re: Our future with renewable energy. on: November 16, 2023, 04:23:56 PM

German and Scandinavian nations with large funds undertaking eco-friendly improvements because they can? Budget isnt everything. Sustainability and renewable energy's long-term economic benefits are key.

Countries those have large funds are able to boost to the economy, but that's only applied to a short term plan, they need sustainability and renewable energy because those offer long-term economic benefits that are essential for a better future. prioritizing renewable energy sources is the best policy a government can make to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels. Governments should be investing in efficiency measures of energy, because that's the best idea that can save businesses and consumers money on their energy expenditures. Sustainability should be top priority, because that can create a more dependable and sustainable economy for future generations.

there are countries that even today are yet not industrialized. they can't manufacture something other than their local stuff and only for their consumption.
if the United Nations for example is going to force them to use renewable energy while they have winters all the time in their country, they will have a blackout for the whole 4 months.

lucky are those countries that already become rich by industrializing themselves that had been building their economy through fossil fuels for a century.

Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them?
I actually do not believe in other gamblers luck and in my gambling days and in the future, I don't think I will copy even a single bet from them. Luck is luck and consecutive wins is just a coincidence and of course a pure luck. Copying sometimes work just because the tide is on your side and just coincide with your decisions to copy. Some gamblers copy others bets  and ends up so badly.

i did follow some of those guys in the NBA thread and followed their bet slips for some time i have been winning. there are a few who are not actually as good as they think who also are sharing their bet slip. you have to be careful who you follow in order to win and at least learn as to why they pick the team. there is so much to learn about the sport than betting itself.

if you are talking about the copy bets on the lottery and dice, this is merely luck. but people love lucky people even when they play triple zero roulette while the double is available.
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KASPA (KAS) - GPU PoW - ghostDAG on: November 16, 2023, 03:31:49 PM

is KASPA going to be just POW like BTC ffor the rest of its life and not going to turn into a L1 project sometime in the future?

it looks like it grew so fast already and us in the crypto community are not even aware of this project coming out live. i only notice this when its not $0.14 and it is already up on the 27th on CMC. i'm seeing hash will continue to grow. this isn't an ASIC resistant?
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins on: November 15, 2023, 07:47:33 PM
Sure, buying altcoins just because it's the top marketcap on Coinmarketcap is not right, but with millions of altcoins that currently on the crypto market, how could we narrow down the options? do we need to research on those millions altcoins? Who has the time for that?

Those rank on Coinmarketcap could be use for a filter, get into any investment just because of a single reason is dumb, we need to do a very deep research if we want to spend our money on any investment.

there are few that still maintains their status as ranked coin though XRP and ADA seem to have kept their position among the top coins on CMC. the one that is unbelievable is the dogecoin which was nowhere to be found since 2013 but suddenly arose there on top in 2020. but its also true that top coins back then are dropping like they do have an unsustainable ecosystem. i remember holding a lot of bitshares.

looking at the first page, WorldCoin already exists since 2013? this is the project that scans the iris of the mall goers. the plan to enslave the world started way back.  Grin
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: J.P. Morgan Thinks the Big Crypto Rally Is Overdone on: November 15, 2023, 07:28:11 PM
After a small correction which was seen by everyone who knows how Bitcoin works, the analyst at the top company like J.P. Morgan thinks the Crypto Rally, especially Bitcoin is done.
How can they be so bad at their profession? I don't have a finance degree and I was able to call the $26k to $40k to $30k like two months before it all happened.

What do you all think about this?
Analysts at top company like J.P. Morgan know what they say, they aren't drunk. Thy have tons of money in their pockets and are highly educated but that doesn't mean they'll be honest and frank with people. They own centralized services, own financial institutes, have influence on billions of people and control them by controlling the money supply. Why do you expect them to say anything in favor of crypto? BlackRock owns 194.92MM shares of JPMorgan Chase & Co that translates as 6.6% share of the company. BlackRock invests in Bitcoin but J.P. Morgan says bitcoin will fall. Does it make sense? I think the message is clear, they are manipulating the market and people.

i bet those words come from Jamie Dimon. J.P. Morgan does have their own blockchain and they have their own coin too which they would like their investors to use than something else like BTC. that's how it makes sense.

somehow they ask where the money will come from to pour into Bitcoin like they don't know. or he just forgets that the limited supply of BTC and halving is also coming making the rally far from being over.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 15, 2023, 07:07:42 PM
Of course Pereira wasnt serious when he called Izzy. He was just taunting, or preparing soil for a future fight. This does not mean they must have a rematch immediately, because Pereira was the one to suggest Izzy to take a pause and have a rest. Maybe Pereira see a perfect challenger in Izzy, maybe it is interesting for him to fight Izzy. Maybe Izzy or better say his fame, is a perfect way to get a juicy check after the fight. Because whos gonna fight Pereira next? Hill ? Rakic? Krylov or Walker? These guys wont sell as much PPV as Izzy.

This gets a little interesting. Adesanya is the middleweight champion and Perreira is the current LHW champion. In the past, Adesanya failed to achieve double championship when he fought with Blachowiz. One factor was Blachowiz's natural wrestling and weight taking away Adesanya's gas. I see this as Adesanya's chance to win Double Champ. It could be that Adesanya decided to return from his break because he saw someone he had beaten become champion in the division above him.
In this time off, I sure Adesanya is preparing everything, starting from what he has to do to win the title and also silencing Pereira mouth as has happened before.
Even though maybe this fight will happen in the future, I believe Adesanya will return to fight for the UFC title and he is not child who can just go home by giving up.

After Pereira victory over Jiri Prochazka in the light heavyweight fight, he looked quite arrogant and words to say to Adesanya.
From what Pereira has done, we can be sure that Adesanya will never remain silent in the future when the time comes.

For now, it looks like Jamahal Hill will be tough and difficult challenger for Pereira because he is former light heavyweight champion and he stated that when he returns he will show how the champion really fights.
From here we see that Jamahal Hill really intends to stop Pereira in the light heavyweight class.

didn't Jahamal avoid Ankalaev? challenging Alex will pull his rank down and finally face Jiri or Ankalaev.

a lot of ufc fans will really see Alex as not a warm person because he rarely smile. i saw a video comparing him to the character of Javier Bardem in the movie No Country for Old Men. Alex looks like a psycho who can murder using his bare hands.

but i think we just misinterpreted that Come to Daddy to something else but i think Rousimar Palhares is the worse since this bone cracker doesn't stop even when the opponent taps. Alex stopped hitting Jiri already after seeing the ref run towards him.

1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's a good app for watching your porfolio? on: November 15, 2023, 06:41:08 PM

Trustwallet. i have some tokens and BTC and in order for me to monitor them all, i just import the wallets that i am tracking and there i can see them all inside one app.
it's not recommended since it is owned by Binance but because i was curious after investing in TWT, i tried doing this. it helped me monitor the crypto i followed which sort of a portfolio to watch.

there should be something like this that is opensource sadly there is none but wallet. I think you can also do this on Mycelium, this wallet has improved a lot like hybrid where you can also import just about any tokens.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to invest AI coins? on: November 15, 2023, 06:25:36 PM
The world getting hyped for useless things has been a common thing forever, it is not really all that shocking. We are talking about a situation that is normal, we are talking about AI being overblown because people think that it is going to solve everything, when in reality we are nowhere near that level yet.

It can't even respond properly to most questions, a human that is masters at that topic would be able to answer a lot better, AI should be able to think much better than a human could, with all the data that it has, and nowhere near that level yet. But it is going to grow, not yet, not anytime near right now, not in a few years, but given enough time, I can see AI tech could be a lot better in ten years or so, should bring in better results.

AI able to think smarter than humans will be the end of it. this is much scary thing to have. i'd rather have them dumb still but can do the job needed to help in the manufacturing industry.

let's say they are smarter than us, it will decide who can act more like a god than a human and we are all screwed. i prefer to have a robot that can cook and wash dishes or play nurse for maybe the old ones will not need full assistance anymore.

AGIX and FET seem to be old AI projects, the newer ones i guess are the ones you can ignore.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your Favorite Altcoin and Why? on: November 15, 2023, 06:11:40 PM
It would have to be Doge for me.

you are probably a gambler most of us here. doge is fast and cheap to spend. i like Doge and Tron because of their use case being accepted mostly in every casino in crypto.

many of us hold different crypto i have some unknown crypto that i still hold even when its ANN doesn't surface anymore in the altcoin section. i still have some exchange token that still traded well but are not very popular since it's a dex. weird thing is that i'm hooked to its chatbox where we all chat about just about anything sometimes intimate stuff already. If the people really get this real-fake money I wonder if the price of

rice and canned foods rise.
The problem isn't only that, but they will start to trust this real-fake money.

Then they will need policies to combat inflation.
Increase the interest rate, price control, adjust the tax rate etc that make people to give the money to banks/governments. It's a never ends problem, when the inflation rate drop, they will decrease the interest rate etc. They just switch a new policy and hold, then switch back to the old policy, repeat.

we have our own FED that also punishes the citizen. increasing taxes is just like taking back what they gave while the government is not increasing the wages of workers.
people will still be grateful for the distributed money because of the currency economic situation actually.

all countries today are in big trouble due to inflation and the people will start relying on this money that they will send whatever the government asks, if the government asks to scan the iris of these people, they will happily do it for free money.
1036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Thought of Giving Back to the Community? on: November 15, 2023, 04:57:24 PM

if you won enough. it's not so bad to give back to what brought you here in bitcointalk. you would have to win millions for that. but maybe in the form of a contest here in the forum just to have some fun. there are businesses in here that did this as far as i know.

giving prizes from 1st to 10th place receiving BTC for the best meme i think this will be a fun contest for giveaways and you make everyone laugh too.
if i only won the biggest i think i can do this too this holiday season. my idea BEST SANTA Claus meme contest.

1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For sports bettors, are you attracted with bet builder feature? on: November 15, 2023, 04:02:36 PM
I'd say it's harder than parlay bets because you're guessing two or more of your predictions in one match, I prefer to place one bet that has higher risk e.g. over 5.5, heavy underdog etc than picking two conditions.

If you're looking to hit big odds in one match, why not guessing the match score.

matching score also has a high chance of losing. It's fun to bet on these high odds though and very satisfying when you hit one. i have not won any of the parlays i made, it could be a waste of money like its said above but it's still fun.

winning methods is the easiest to guess especially in boxing when you know the puncher is a KO artist.
1038  Economy / Economics / Re: The Thailand government will distribute money to its citizens. Economists critic on: November 14, 2023, 08:17:21 PM

Question : is this a planned experiment regarding money supply manipulation and full control over society? Is this an attempt before implementing "temporary" currency internationally? A test on the population? What are your thoughts on this?

yes. it's a controlled money so they can also dictate where the Thais can spend this money. this must be the implementation of the CBDC in their country. amazing though that they can afford to distribute such funds, and massive creation of digital cash but this is equivalent to printing.

i'm not an economist but this is the kind that will devalue their own currency. are they sure they will do this to the whole country or are they just doing this to a few cities?  i'm sure there are remote areas in the country where people have no phones no internet connection.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think Staking is the Perfect Passive Income Strategy in a Bull Market? on: November 14, 2023, 08:01:20 PM
Instead of you to stake while can't you buy and hold of bitcoin and later you sell when the price of bitcoin or any of the altcoins you purchased go higher, even though you buy any other coins and hold when theirs a bullrun it will also affect the coin you bought in your wallet, so we don't need to stake but everything is depend on your decision and understanding concerning cryptocurrency investment.

Actually to make a profit cryptocurrency investment you have to be calculative to know when the bull is about to manifest and when the bearish is about to manifest, so therefore theirs something we have to understand and their is something we have to practice to know when to hold a cryptocurrency and when not to buy and hold, because its not every time you can buy and expected to make a profit.

If it's altcoins, I'd say staking can increase the potential of more profits but this is only recommended for a user that wants to max out their potential earnings. Otherwise, it's best to just self-custody the tokens. For Bitcoin, there's no staking activity so I think OP was talking about altcoins specifically. If the next bull run plays out like the ones before it, staking would be the best route for anyone looking to max out gains in that you earn staking rewards while enjoying price gains on capital and staking rewards tokens as well.

there are tokens like ADA where you can store them inside your self-custody wallet and at the same time staking. but i think you can max out only if you have invested in such a token from the very beginning where the coins are still less than 10 cents. you probably won't be tempted to dump them even in the bear market because you still can make money out of staking.

if an investor can make money out of it enough that he can live with just the passive income from staking, he surely has made the right choice from the beginning. let's say he has millions of ADA and can make $1000 a week as per epoch, then definitely a great investment.

1040  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Too much transaction fee on: November 14, 2023, 05:48:52 PM
the LN wallets are not spared when all i thought with LN the fees would always be a tiny amount. recently it deducted almost $8 worth of BTC. not surprising because BTC is going up and same as withdrawing from an exchange which also costs $18.

I no sure say the fee suppose reach that 10% electrum nah good wallet, and then get better features so if you see default fee like that Watin u suppose do nah to use the custom fee settings then reduce the fee to how eh go suit you for body, money no too they to come waste am give people way already don get the money.

No be only your wallet fee high like that nah so the blockchain bee the network they congested and fee high for everybody, so if you send your transaction with fee way at least reach $1-$2 eh fit take time but eh go go and if nah just one address you they send am go, after you don send the transaction out you fit use accelerator as one of our own person been share for the local board carry accelerate the transaction to make am faster.

Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. by Charles-Tim

i discovered that when i sent BTC the other day and set the fee to the tiniest possible, i waited long hours and wasn't confirmed, i will likely be waiting for more than 72 hours or more. but sending another transaction and this time following the recommended amount for the transaction fee. the first transaction made was also confirmed along with the 2nd. seem to work.
