If the people really get this real-fake money I wonder if the price of

rice and canned foods rise.
The problem isn't only that, but they will start to trust this real-fake money.

Then they will need policies to combat inflation.
Increase the interest rate, price control, adjust the tax rate etc that make people to give the money to banks/governments. It's a never ends problem, when the inflation rate drop, they will decrease the interest rate etc. They just switch a new policy and hold, then switch back to the old policy, repeat.

we have our own FED that also punishes the citizen. increasing taxes is just like taking back what they gave while the government is not increasing the wages of workers.
people will still be grateful for the distributed money because of the currency economic situation actually.

all countries today are in big trouble due to inflation and the people will start relying on this money that they will send whatever the government asks, if the government asks to scan the iris of these people, they will happily do it for free money.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Thought of Giving Back to the Community? on: November 15, 2023, 04:57:24 PM

if you won enough. it's not so bad to give back to what brought you here in bitcointalk. you would have to win millions for that. but maybe in the form of a contest here in the forum just to have some fun. there are businesses in here that did this as far as i know.

giving prizes from 1st to 10th place receiving BTC for the best meme i think this will be a fun contest for giveaways and you make everyone laugh too.
if i only won the biggest i think i can do this too this holiday season. my idea BEST SANTA Claus meme contest.

1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For sports bettors, are you attracted with bet builder feature? on: November 15, 2023, 04:02:36 PM
I'd say it's harder than parlay bets because you're guessing two or more of your predictions in one match, I prefer to place one bet that has higher risk e.g. over 5.5, heavy underdog etc than picking two conditions.

If you're looking to hit big odds in one match, why not guessing the match score.

matching score also has a high chance of losing. It's fun to bet on these high odds though and very satisfying when you hit one. i have not won any of the parlays i made, it could be a waste of money like its said above but it's still fun.

winning methods is the easiest to guess especially in boxing when you know the puncher is a KO artist.
1045  Economy / Economics / Re: The Thailand government will distribute money to its citizens. Economists critic on: November 14, 2023, 08:17:21 PM

Question : is this a planned experiment regarding money supply manipulation and full control over society? Is this an attempt before implementing "temporary" currency internationally? A test on the population? What are your thoughts on this?

yes. it's a controlled money so they can also dictate where the Thais can spend this money. this must be the implementation of the CBDC in their country. amazing though that they can afford to distribute such funds, and massive creation of digital cash but this is equivalent to printing.

i'm not an economist but this is the kind that will devalue their own currency. are they sure they will do this to the whole country or are they just doing this to a few cities?  i'm sure there are remote areas in the country where people have no phones no internet connection.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think Staking is the Perfect Passive Income Strategy in a Bull Market? on: November 14, 2023, 08:01:20 PM
Instead of you to stake while can't you buy and hold of bitcoin and later you sell when the price of bitcoin or any of the altcoins you purchased go higher, even though you buy any other coins and hold when theirs a bullrun it will also affect the coin you bought in your wallet, so we don't need to stake but everything is depend on your decision and understanding concerning cryptocurrency investment.

Actually to make a profit cryptocurrency investment you have to be calculative to know when the bull is about to manifest and when the bearish is about to manifest, so therefore theirs something we have to understand and their is something we have to practice to know when to hold a cryptocurrency and when not to buy and hold, because its not every time you can buy and expected to make a profit.

If it's altcoins, I'd say staking can increase the potential of more profits but this is only recommended for a user that wants to max out their potential earnings. Otherwise, it's best to just self-custody the tokens. For Bitcoin, there's no staking activity so I think OP was talking about altcoins specifically. If the next bull run plays out like the ones before it, staking would be the best route for anyone looking to max out gains in that you earn staking rewards while enjoying price gains on capital and staking rewards tokens as well.

there are tokens like ADA where you can store them inside your self-custody wallet and at the same time staking. but i think you can max out only if you have invested in such a token from the very beginning where the coins are still less than 10 cents. you probably won't be tempted to dump them even in the bear market because you still can make money out of staking.

if an investor can make money out of it enough that he can live with just the passive income from staking, he surely has made the right choice from the beginning. let's say he has millions of ADA and can make $1000 a week as per epoch, then definitely a great investment.

1047  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Too much transaction fee on: November 14, 2023, 05:48:52 PM
the LN wallets are not spared when all i thought with LN the fees would always be a tiny amount. recently it deducted almost $8 worth of BTC. not surprising because BTC is going up and same as withdrawing from an exchange which also costs $18.

I no sure say the fee suppose reach that 10% electrum nah good wallet, and then get better features so if you see default fee like that Watin u suppose do nah to use the custom fee settings then reduce the fee to how eh go suit you for body, money no too they to come waste am give people way already don get the money.

No be only your wallet fee high like that nah so the blockchain bee the network they congested and fee high for everybody, so if you send your transaction with fee way at least reach $1-$2 eh fit take time but eh go go and if nah just one address you they send am go, after you don send the transaction out you fit use accelerator as one of our own person been share for the local board carry accelerate the transaction to make am faster.

Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. by Charles-Tim

i discovered that when i sent BTC the other day and set the fee to the tiniest possible, i waited long hours and wasn't confirmed, i will likely be waiting for more than 72 hours or more. but sending another transaction and this time following the recommended amount for the transaction fee. the first transaction made was also confirmed along with the 2nd. seem to work.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling and Invest in gambling. on: November 14, 2023, 05:33:46 PM
I am a discipline and a responsible gambler but tend to quit gambling somedays.
I think I am going to be missing the whole fun of it but if I would find it difficult keeping total off it, I have thought of going around the gambling grounds (gambling tables) with a logical lucrative planning to taking advantage over the gambling tables though am not gonna be a partaker in the gambling anymore.

How do I take advantages over the gambles while I am not gambling anymore?
I tend to invest in the gambling. How?
At my visits in the gambling grounds, I will be lending my funds to the losers who has run out of  funds and willing to bet more if they have more money.
I tends to make this a deal with interest charges with concrete agreement to be secured and I will be opened to also accepting collaterals.

I verily know that I will succeed more of the inexperienced and those gamblers who doesn't have gambling budgets including those who can't take control over their gambling emotions

It's nice to see you trying to help others mate, but the idea you just laid down is even more risky that gambling it's self. Giving out money to gamblers whom you think that they need some funds to gamble, and how are you sure they will be able to pay you back your money. And from what you said, losers who you think they can no longer fund Thier gambling budgets. Mate, I would advice you to do something else with your money.

he will be holding the collaterals of these gamblers. like the loansharks, he will choose which collateral is acceptable for him to make sure he is not taking a huge risk.  this business idea is not new, there are bigger loan sharks that he may piss for starting this business. while this is profitable, he will find himself swindled by gamblers who are desperate and will not be able to pay him.

it's the kind of business that requires him to be a tough boss. it pays but it will also keep his one eye open even when he is asleep.
1049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategies on: November 14, 2023, 05:08:11 PM
sometimes when it feels like the team you are rooting is not going to make it, it pays to just cash out to salvage what little you can get back. even in the 4th round afaik the bookie will still allow us to cash out.  the best part of doing the live betting is for this purpose i think.

the availability of that cash-out button made me feel safer. but anticipating that our team will win in the end also burst the thrills in us that's why it's tempting to just hold on to the hopes. i have this kind of situation where i was about to click that button but kept watching the game until it was too late to cash out.

I can't stand that cash-out feature, honestly. I wish they never came up with it. We thought it would be a game-changer, but it just turns us into losing our confidence. I mean, we gamble because we're not afraid to take a risk, right? So why not ride out the game and see where it takes us? This cash-out thing can really tempt us to bail, and there are times when luck is on our side, we could've hit the jackpot, but nope, we second-guess ourselves, hit cash out, and bam, missed out on the big win.

for the time i have been betting, i waited til the game was over even when the team i bet for was losing. its not a healthy strategy. one situation that will help is when an NBA match scores 58 - 94, that's really hard to swallow. even if luck gives my team 10 turnovers in the last quarter, they can't win.

if you can do something to minimize your loss especially when luck is not on your side. it's the kind of option you would want to do as part of your plan.
the bookmakers added this option though so you might as well use it. but in the last ew minutes of the last quarter or in the last rounds of boxing, the bookmakers cancel this cashout option.
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: November 14, 2023, 04:44:00 PM
there are a few that's been shooting up without dumping such as ETH and SOL. you just have to pick the right ones. if you are willing to hold for longer though you may still be profiting. TRON seems to rise continuously. the alt season hasn't really kicked hard since the bull run is not caused by the halving. i think this growth of price is just retracing back to the top and caused by the ETF hype.

but once the halving is here already, major coins will also shoot up even the ones you don't expect to pump. for me its safe to invest right now as long as you mean to hold for months up to its ATH.

1051  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Client Executives Kidnapped, Forced to Empty Crypto Wallets on: November 14, 2023, 03:40:33 PM
Kidnapping and forcing customer to empty wallet? Hmm, sounds strange to me because I haven't heard of such case although I know it's very possible but I believe someone already said which is if this particular story is even true because it's kind of awkward that CZ was on the frontpage and saying that binance had already frozen the funds just makes more weird. Well if it's true then everyone now knows how important it is to actually keep and try securing your holding and how keeping it secret is really important to you.

its hard to believe when it comes from CZ and no police report so far even if you search it online there is no Montenegro police report coming up about this Binance executive. all articles are published by crypto news only with no names about this victim. but i'm not gonna be surprised if CZ silences the police

this kind of crime may not be common for now but with the adoption and criminals knowing about Bitcoin, those criminals will start learning to get around and find someone to point their guns to and take their hard wallets or send their coins. this is when social media gonna be of help to the criminals for they will start watching those users posting crypto wallets.
1052  Economy / Economics / Re: How to survive hyperinflation? on: November 14, 2023, 02:54:07 PM
inflation is still not done. price will still be going up. and the only we could do is to earn more by having multiple jobs these days. minimizing spending and just buying the basic necessities. no overspending on fine dining and champagne. if you have a truck still that burns 1 liter per 12 kilometers, don't use that car anymore or sell this car and buy a mini car that burns 1 liter per 18 kilometers.

in my country, the central bank encourages cashless payment already. cash is no king anymore. so invest in crypto. there is no better way to make money and solve your own financial crisis than by earning this coming bull run. you won't miss this out if you have DCA BTC and at least buy some top tokens.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategies on: November 14, 2023, 02:06:19 PM
I must admit most of the times that is the best strategy which unfortunately sometimes can cause also lost games but there is no better strategy than watching the game live and betting on it.However let me make an example from yesterday when Manchester City scored the 4th goal and I had the option to cash out but I didn't as I thought watching the game it will be difficult for Chelsea to equalize with just 3 minutes left to play.In fact Chelsea got the equalizer from a penalty and this shows that even live betting is totally unpredictable.
In each strategy, even if we think it's the best that we can ever imagine, there will always be a loss on it that we can experience and it's normal because this is gambling and all kinds of gambling always involve some luck, even if it's only small and we can't control our luck. Watching the game live and at the same time betting on it, can be called as a strategy for some sports bettors but this can also be called as an experience.

This makes sports betting fun and thrilling. If you are a long-time sports bettor, you will know that some outcomes are possible, although I know that many of us can repeat the same mistakes again. It sucks when it happens.

sometimes when it feels like the team you are rooting is not going to make it, it pays to just cash out to salvage what little you can get back. even in the 4th round afaik the bookie will still allow us to cash out.  the best part of doing the live betting is for this purpose i think.

1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 13, 2023, 06:47:57 PM

privacy concern individuals are the first to have suggested not to submit those IDs actually and then we learn it's important to hide our data.
until then if there is still an option where users are not forced to send documents and IDs to the casino, they will take that option.

not withdrawing funds that are more than the threshold for KYC mandatory i think is one of the options they are taking. seem to have taken more risk but if that's the way they like it then be as what they want it to be. the funny part is that when it is airdropped that asks for KYC documents, they are sending those documents for an uncertain amount.
1056  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hong Kong regulators might allow spot ETF on: November 13, 2023, 06:27:39 PM
Seems ironic to talk about Hong Kong when its been taken over by China who had previously banned Bitcoin.  To look towards this now with some optimism is quite comedy.  China didnt keep its promises and agreements over Hong Kong remaining separate with independence in jurisdiction from their communist regime, unfortunate as this promotes decay in HK as the finance asset and trading hub it had become.   It was worth leaving alone just for that revenue benefit but communism couldn't suffer the comparison and HK was assimilated.  I got little faith in action occurring in Hong Kong now for the long term.

China is seeing the US about to approve ETF, so they are also establishing their own. the two superpowers are competing in different areas. but regardless of communism, HK is still going to be the business hub in Asia. people are free in that region from the mainland, but Hong Kong is no different from any other state or country the businesses are still controlled by the government through the laws.

either US SEC or Hong Kong, investors will anticipate the price to shoot to the moon when ETF is approved. it's just a matter of when it will be because they seem to be making us all wait til the hype is gone and we lost patience.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategieski on: November 13, 2023, 05:11:49 PM
So i wanted to ask from experienced gamblers here, who make live bets; how do you choose your bets and what kind of bets are you preferring (other then betting for winners).

Also are there some good tips on how to make most of from those? Because to someone less informed like myself, most of the other kind of bets seem like shots in the dark. I am assuming that there are more profitable strategies. Like what kind of other bets are worth looking into?

If you are already x3 of your bankroll then I guess everything works well with your strategy and there’s o need to adjust unless it’s not working anymore. If you are consistent with your analysis then you should not worry about losing it all since you are using a low risk low reward method which can be enhance by analysis skills.

If it’s working then just continue. Remember only to set stop loss and don’t be trigger when you encounter losses since it’s inevitable. More important is your consistency because that will give you more profit.

he is not doing a detailed analysis, mostly it's based on the odds he is taking the cue from the bookmakers. this is not a bad strategy actually but like he said every win is just a tiny amount of a win. it will be a good strategy if he stake a huge amount. to earn $50, he has to stake $1000 for the odd he example is 1.05. that is still good easy money if the bookmakers allow it too.

but with just one loss, he loses $1000. how many bets will he make to chase this loss? this is the risk that he meant. you couldn't continue the strategy if you lose twice. in sports, the underdog winning the game often happens.  Cheesy

1058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your parent disinherit you eventhough you have not proven to be chronic gambler on: November 13, 2023, 04:11:00 PM
the parents have the right to what they wanna do with their money. the will is already the last words of your parents. not sure if you can change it unless they give the conditions you get the inheritance when you are not chronic anymore.  if it means life and death to you, you will really fight for it against your siblings. this is the kind of story been told a million times that leads to a tragic end. it's not gonna be good for this thread to end that way.

if you are independent enough and you can have your own and earn your own wealth, the better.you'd be glad to say thanks pap and mom you didn't raise a fool
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favourite Alt-Coin, and why? on: November 13, 2023, 03:44:52 PM
Doge coin has been my favorite meme coin for quiet a long period of time because of how well I have benefited from dodge coin, few years back I bought dodge coin, that was in 2020 I left it for two years and back in 2022 I sol off and I made a very good profit from it and since then I've always gat my eyes on doge and have gotten to love it as one of my favorites meme coins. So basically the profit I got hodling doge had made me developed that love for dodge coin.
Great for you bro but it would be better to add other altcoins, just in case DOGE won't repeat that same thing again because like you said it was only just a meme coin and we all know meme coins, right? They lack in utility or they don't have any at all. Some are only lucky that they are being hyped/manipulated by the big people and those who invest on them are also lucky to earn a profit.

Aside from the profit, Dogecoin still have other charms on why there are people who have developed a liking for it. It has a cute logo and a cute back story. We should only treat it this way and not in a serious manner that we will put most of our wealth on it and bet that it will rise more in the nearest future.

you can not go wrong with doge because of its price. it's still the cheapest coin that is above the rank of the majority of the altcoins listed in big exchanges, they beat it all despite doge being just the start of a joke.

and it has the use case that one would need who gambles around in crypto. almost all casinos you can see in crypto, i bet doge is accepted. for doge as an investment, it is also favorable because its already popular. if it goes up every bull market, it sure will do this coming bull run. last but not the least, the transaction fee of BTC that users complain all the time during bull run is not happening with doge.

1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think Staking is the Perfect Passive Income Strategy in a Bull Market? on: November 13, 2023, 03:30:28 PM
I agree that staking can be a smart strategy for passive income especially during a bull market. The ability to earn rewards from staking is also beneficial if value will rise of your staked assets can be a dual advantage.

But keep in mind one aspect to consider is the volatility of the market. While a bull market generally indicates a positive trend but there can be downturns too. That may impact the value of the staked assets.

But the specific cryptocurrency you choose to stake can also lift up the success of your strategy. And the staking rewards and potential returns can vary in different platforms.

I also use staking platform and currently I have invested in ATOM, Juno and Osmosis.

hitting 2 birds with one stone just like OP's view of it. it's a passive income if the bull run continues forever unfortunately it doesn't work that way and it's always going to end which is time to sell. if staking takes time, your dump may be delayed.

it's all up to the staker if he continues to stake but remember the regulators are not going to look at staking as it is.  i think there was a discussion about token stakers being taxed.
