Man I am a total chump for paying for assembly. Seems pretty obvious the software problems are holding things up.

Heard from him last week and as you've read I received my refund. I think it's reasonable to expect an update from him this weekend.

Problem is that it could be that not everyone who is being refunded will be posting in this thread, so it's hard to gauge how things are progressing. I know I just want to be done with this whole mess.

I'm sure he's reading this thread, but if no update comes soon or refunds are not being processed then I'd be suspicious.
Best I can see from the blockchain he has not paid anyone since the 11th, and only has about 12btc left.

He has refunded most on the forum batch 2, however he took 340 btc through his website address that seems to remain mostly unpaid.

I do not see the coin to repay this at this time.

I did think that could potentially happen if funds were dispatched before hand or costs increased more than expected. Or if Steve has decided to 'reinvest' in something else. Honestly it's all guess work until he gives us an update.

I'm just glad that I was able to sort a refund. I'm sure everyone will be reimbursed (I know that's easy for me to write), I just don't understand the delay.

Nice, that your refund is on the way.

I'm still waiting for any info on my refund - sent email to alphahpc.com requesting refund (on September 9th).
Now posting order info here, maybe more easy for Steve to process:
Order: #1307
Chips + Klondike16 boards (2.146 BTC) x 4 = ฿8.580
Shipping: ฿0.700 via International Delivery
Order Total: ฿9.28

https://blockchain.info/tx/a9018a14d0603aaf17841221ae3b1cca23fb497536ba1ec369feb6488d47bf5c

I emailed throught site and eventually got a response. So I would think that you should be getting some communication soon.

Assuming that the orders start from #1000, that's over 300 orders that Steve has taken, not to mention the payments strictly made to the escrow. If even half of these customers are emailing him, it would be a pain in the neck to organise, not that this is an excuse.

Unless Steve get's a chance to really sit down one day and work through these refunds I feel like refunds and other news will be in fits and starts, which isn't ideal really.

Just received communication from Steve. The transaction is now confirmed. as yet unconfirmed,  but I'm sure it will be fine.

All quiet. Anyone else been in contact with Steve?
1788  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: October 10, 2013, 01:35:53 PM
Seems that Steve is probably dealing with a lot of emails. I was in communication with him concerning my refund which he says that he sent, I have NOT received them nor have I been provided with a tx ID.

Either he has made a genuine mistake and is getting mixed up (which I think likely) or he is getting ready to bolt, the longer that communication goes unanswered the more it seems this way. But honestly I don't see this as likely.

If I don't hear from him soon I'll be taking legal steps.

I've been behind you the whole way Steve, but this is just getting ridiculous.
1789  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: October 08, 2013, 08:16:20 AM
Steve has got into contact with me. Hopefully should be processing my refund today.

Well, still no word from Steve. Again, I see no reason why he hasn't been in contact, but it also doesn't make sense that he would write that he would refund his website orders and then pretty much cease communication.

I for one am very tired of this and wish to move forward. Steve, we need an update. Why aren't you replying to emails or messages concerning your website?

I believe that one person has received a refund for the site order, has anyone else?
1791  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: October 07, 2013, 08:20:20 AM
Anyone who was cut off want to sell 10 of their units? Please message me with offers if you're interested.

Edit: Also I'm based in the UK.
1792  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: October 02, 2013, 04:33:20 PM
Did anyone get chips? There has been no word that Yifu even sent him any for real...

-MarkM-

SB said he would do an update on the forum "today" - 2 days ago.

I'm waiting for him, but I think he should post the info he gave me.

I think we'll all be relieved to have at least some communication from SB. Look forward to it.
1793  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: October 02, 2013, 09:49:58 AM
Well as long as refunds still are coming, that is something.

This radio silence is just counter productive. If there is a case of some refunds being ineligible, a process should have been adopted to minimise the exposure of everyone.. I know that people had concerns over this very situation occurring.
1794  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: October 02, 2013, 08:48:06 AM
Steve had just answered to my e-mail and refunded the chips Cheesy

I guess when I update my wallet I can probably expect the same then!

Edit: Nope. Nothing.

Steve, if you could let us know why there is a hold up with the Web orders that'd be great. You did say that you'd have processed them already.

I'm confident in your integrity, but even I would like to read an update.

I still haven't got the refund....

ordered via AlphaHPC webpage
Order number: #1372;
Bitcoins paid: ฿18.41;

Why is that?

Why aren't you answering Steve? You said you're gonna refund webpage buyers last weekend.....

I know it's easy to stress in a situation like this, but Steve has been on and has been refunding people as the past few posts have shown. He is probably  just busy with work and life. Personally I can't imagine fitting a full time job and child around a group buy, not that this excuses Steve, but I feel far more comfortable with him when I see the state of the other group buys.

The website refunds should be the most straightforward, I expect they'll be sorted in a day or two and the weekend at the latest.

Yea sure, I'm aware of that he's busy and I'm happy to see people getting refunds.
But he could answer me before he replied to guy who published a post after me... it would take 15 seconds, which I believe he has.

Have you PMd him? He's usually pretty good in getting back.
1797  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs -- Monarch (pre-order misinformation) on: October 01, 2013, 09:30:59 AM
BFL Is over.

For $300 more you can get 575Gh of mining from KNC in November (if you order today)

Otherwise wait until February for your 600gh (if you are lucky)

575Gh of mining power in November is worth 300% more than 600gh in February.

Yep. I'm just stocking up on the popcorn for when the donkey show finally grinds to a halt. Are there any bets on when they will file for bankruptcy?
1798  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: October 01, 2013, 08:51:28 AM
904 chips
batch 4
refund requested 16/09 (before 16/09 in fact, but don't have the exact date anymore - possibly around 10/09)
54x K16 assembly+testing+hosting

no refund for chips received (and possibly no full refund at all either). I'm pissed off.

What happened? You're getting chips when you requested a refund? Were you notified that chips have been received by SB?

Yes, something like that, some chips some refund, with the added twist that I'm the "cutoff customer" while others have actually requested refunds after me. That's BS.

What are the criteria for being a "cutoff customer"?

I won't be holding my breath on that one. Yifu could have made this smoother in many ways, and now he is mentioning compensation? Right now I be thankful to get the refund.

edit: messed up the quotes
