1101  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dark Enlightenment on: September 05, 2014, 07:29:39 AM
Your links don't go anywhere that provides a clear list of the principles of the "Dark Enlightenment" without a giant mess of quotes from various threads. That being said, I gather that it has three chief "complaints":

1) "The Cathedral" is lying to us about major issues.

Nowhere do you seem to explain what "The Cathedral" is, or which issues it is lying about other than (2).

2) The common refrain that "all men are created equal" is false.

This is obviously correct, not all men (and women) are equal. In fact, they all differ from each other in countless ways. But few apart from the very dense really take this statement to mean that everyone should be considered equal in terms of their ability, intelligence, attractiveness, strength, etc. What it really means is that everyone should be treated equally in the eyes of the law, and presented with the same sets of opportunities in life, regardless of their race, gender, etc.

3) Democracy is a failure.

Certainly democracy has many problems. Few nations follow a model of pure democracy; usually democracy is tempered by a constitution, a court system, corporate interests, international treaties, etc. Nevertheless, democratic systems of government today prevalent in Western nations have given rise to the most prosperous societies in human history, with the greatest quality of life and freedoms for their citizens. Furthermore, no alternative systems that give rise to a better form of government have been demonstrated. The only alternatives that have been tried (monarchy, theocracy, dictatorship, etc) are worse, not better.

Not many people know that Anarchy has been tried to quite a significant extent. That is until I think the first world war (?) put an end to their non sovereignty.

This book is vital in demonstrating this:

If you don't want to read, Google an interview with the author. I think liberty.me did one.
1102  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fed Gov't Autopsy Finds Michael Brown Not Shot in Back on: September 04, 2014, 03:18:16 PM
It doesn't matter.

When we learned that Trayvon Martin was on top of George Zimmerman beating him, just as Zimmerman claimed and after all the denials from liberals, they just moved the goalposts. If it becomes a fact that Brown did assault Wilson and break facial bones, and it becomes a fact that when told to freeze, Brown taunted and then charged Wilson, the liberals will just move the goalposts again.

It's not just liberals, but this is the case with most propaganda (make it fit the program), it has a very specific agenda. Truth or ethics be damned.

Bump - just curious as to why no one is interested in this? I was hoping to help a friend out to help pay his uni fees but it seems my idea for his extra income doesn't have much interest.

Keep it up Saigon, you obviously have talent.
1104  Economy / Goods / Re: ♨★★★ E-Pipe for Vaping, E-cig ★★★ ♨ Price drop! on: September 04, 2014, 08:55:58 AM
Would it be good for vaporizing weed also, or is it suitable only for these e-cigarette cartriges?

The vaping chamber is for eliquids, it does not vapourize anything else, though I suppose it would work with a cannabis based eliquid too.
Oh these are hard to get and almost impossible to get here..whatever. Good luck in your selling.

You mean that vaporizers for weed are hard to find? I'm unfamiliar with manually vaping weed, though I think I saw it in a vice documentary.
No i've not been talking about that. I did mean these cannabis infused/based eliquids.

Right! Okay, then yes they would be appropriate for these eliquids.

some insensitive cunt is going to accuse her of murder.

I'd be really surprised at this, I would have thought if there was more of a (manufactured) outrage some form of regulation may be put forward.
1107  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 9 year old girl kills bloke stone dead with full auto machine gun on: September 04, 2014, 08:35:36 AM
it's a Uzi, I mean come on!

Exactly! I have no problem with children learning to use firearms, but a weapon this powerful? Anyway, a lot of the culpability lies with the instructor and parents, very sad.

5 Pipes left and updating OP with a price drop to clear the last of them!
1109  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 9 year old girl kills bloke stone dead with full auto machine gun on: September 03, 2014, 07:58:15 PM
What a tragic event, in some ways it could have been a lot worse with her losing control like that (not that it makes the situation any better).

The gun control crowd will go mad for this.

We're there, we just pretty it up in the West and call it democracy.

1112  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] Small amount of BTC with Paypal - looking to gain trust on: September 03, 2014, 02:34:20 PM
Looking to buy a small amount of BTC with Paypal so I can become trusted.  It is very hard to become trusted at first if no one will sell you anything!  I have a verified Paypal account and am willing to agree to your terms.  Please let me know if you can help.

You can build trust with buying things too. Or use local bitcoins, that's usually hassle free.

Or.. You can buy some of my coins Smiley

1113  Other / Off-topic / Capitulation incoming with Silver? on: September 03, 2014, 10:43:40 AM
I'm not convinced we have see the bottom, though $18.17 has held.

There doesn't seem to be that total capitulation, unless you think it was at the beginning of last year.

Thoughts?

1116  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Ebay/Paypal's ridiculous fees on: September 02, 2014, 01:04:04 PM
I've been pretty lucky with PayPal. But I've heard some real horror stories.
1117  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Ebay/Paypal's ridiculous fees on: September 02, 2014, 09:47:33 AM
Doesn't have to be a bit coin auction site though. Those are ebay fees and how they make their money even if they accepted BTC it would still be the same.
Yup,  ebay hosts the auction for you and makes their money off of FEES.

Frankly, sometimes it is worth it seeing as how much time spent/lost on trying to sell local or on other websites. At least with ebay you can reach a larger audience and simply sell your item and not let the fee weigh down the time you saved.

Exactly, the exposure makes it worth it (even if we hate the fees). Do to the scammyness of gumtree and craigslist both buyers and sellers are funnelled into a premium environment which even eBid can't compete with.
1118  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dark Enlightenment on: September 02, 2014, 06:20:22 AM
Sometimes I think people become invested in their own world view.. While I respect Armstrong I think he retains a certain element of blind faith in the state.
1119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme on: September 01, 2014, 07:45:43 PM
This is spot on OP, all these johnny-come-lately "investors" start squealing like stuck pigs whenever prices take a dip.
Most have probably never invested in the securities market because seasoned investors do not have expectations of
a "commodity" like these amateurs do with elevated returns and decreased time frames. These newbies are going to
get burned trying to play the bitcoin game. With bitcoin, your "profit" time horizon has to be in months and years, not
hours and days...unless you are day-trading.

If you're a bystander hoping to get rich quick in a short period of time get ready for a good beating. There are those
who are playing vicious mind games in the forum hoping for destabilization. I'm not going to name names but keep your
wits about you.

Cough-cough-fallling-cough

I wouldn't call fallling vicious, persistent perhaps?
1120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next boom within 3-4 months tops on: September 01, 2014, 07:26:47 PM
