Ouch, so pennies is still going? Sort of?

Sadly the only way to do this is trust that the person will pay you if Gox returns the money. Then you might as well bet on it.

Pretty much. I don't think there is any way to do this except based entirely on trust. That and I suppose you could take their ubikey, if they had one?

I just wanted to say thank you to theymos for having decided to ban our crawler twice during the last 12 hours.

Thank you, theymos.

Can't say I'm that surprised, but it's a shame to see such a good project be hamstrung.

Will the devs be taking into account the coming wave of scrypt ASICs in the next year?

Sad to see diamond sinking like this. Such a great name with no real community behind it.  Really the big diamond holders need to get more active. The coin code is stable and solid i guess it just needs some development.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what's going on right now.

Any predictions on future value? I've been quietly mining away for a while with a few threads, but I've only mined about 20 right now. Is it really worth just buying instead of mining?

Hi All,

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this but I have a November Jupiter that seems to have died.

The fans are on and a blue light is visible from the front but I cannot connect to it and it does not respond to pings. Also the red and green lights on the front never go on.

What do you suggest I do ?

Trippy

Have you contacted Knc?

UPDATE

My problem was finally resolved. They refunded me in full, and I really appreciate that.
Sorry for putting all this pressure, but I have nowhere else to write to.

I understand they have some issues to be resolved, I understand that.

All the best!

Glad to hear you got your coin.

I knew Trollcoin would find success.

It's the true Anti-Doge.

Now that is some inspiration for a coin design Smiley

How would you guys like to buy some physical coins that have Troll-Art painted on them? We're talking zinc-alloy/copper, silver/gold plated with really nice art on them.

btw, I'm not trolling. Just thought some of you guys might like to spend some of your trollcoins on something other than trolling!

I would seriously buy some.  Anything to support the use of Trollcoins and an entrepreneur!  herpes!

Good to hear. I have a great troll design I'd like to use, I've been working on a MtGox Commiserative Coin that should be available for sale in a couple of weeks- I'm having samples made as I type.

You can buy my Goxxed For The Last Time coin with Trollcoins too when I have them in stock if you're interested.

When I've finalised my Physical Trollcoin I'll post here too.

How does one tell minting is on? None of my wallets show any indication of any proof-of-stake activity so far and some certainly have old enough coins.

Sorry for that but there seem to be a built in security feature that prevents form staking whenever a new CP is used. We need to wait some time before it's allowed.

Central Checkpoint is working as it should without returning any errors, Diamond is now protected form 51% attack and the chain cannot be forked. This alone is great news. Of course for stake to initialise we still need to wait as it's hardcoded and the only thing that speeds it up is patience.

Thanks pop for the answer.

So I get "Minting suspended due to locked wallet"

I have never 'unlocked' my wallet before, besides having never used PoS. Any helpers please?

So, what's the verdict, is this a reversal? It's hard to tell with such illiquid coins.
1597  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Possible Scammer - John K on: March 22, 2014, 10:09:55 AM
I really can't believe this issue is still up in the air.  There should be some kind of updates from those who no john k and have worked closely with him over the years.  The is a shocking turn of event indeed.

My thoughts exactly. It makes no sense. Which leads me to believe that there is/was/will be no interest of Theymos to provide any info or even just an opinion on this.
1598  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is a Madmax outcome coming before 2020? Thus do we need anonymity? on: March 21, 2014, 04:18:45 PM
Some great info on this thread, but also some doomer stuff.

Yeah the system's we have are screwed, yeah banks will keep rinsing us and yeah it'll probably implode in the next 20 odd years as the west falls off it's demographic cliff ala Japan.

But the public simply will not wake up any time soon. There more interested in attacking the rich or denigrating the underclasses led by sock puppet MSM when they're not watching the Kardashians or some other mind rot. And therein lies the problem, all the slaves are still fighting among themselves without looking to the problem of centralised control of government and money supply.

Here, we are part of an incredibly tiny demographic (I'm talking broad strokes libertarian, freemarket, awake and aware types, I do not mean to speak for all). We have almost zero representation in the mainstream, Ron Paul? Nigel Farage? Yeah they are good for entertainment but they are pin pricks in the ass of an elephant. But it will come one day. The sooner the SHTF the sooner we can move towards a more civil society. The world is fast approaching a moment where the math of free money and power to banks will have to fail. Will we see it in our lifetimes? I hope, but certainly don't expect it.

What's left of the free market will continue to churn out innovation just as the efficiencies and wealth it creates are then used by governments to make up more reasons control countries. And personally I'm not even sure that bitcoin truly contributes to freedom in it's current form, though it is disruptive and innovative.

Things will shamble forward, but it aint all bad Wink

I found a great video recently, while I already knew most of it I enjoy Don Harrold's musings thought you guys might like it:

1600  Economy / Goods / Re: 9ct GOLD Bitcoin - Laser Hallmarked - Assay Certified on: March 21, 2014, 02:08:09 PM
Initially, I could move down to about £200 / $330.
I could move down further in bulk.

Obviously the price is above spot due to the cost involved in minting / assay.

However the more i sell the cheaper they can be produced.

Yep, getting coins struck in the UK through traditional channels is VERY expensive. I speak from experience.
