1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 18, 2014, 07:48:52 PM
So people are getting out of their pram about a standard contractual clause? Is that the top and bottom of it?

I'd be very surprised if these guys are out to scam, from what I understand they are pretty serious devs?
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 18, 2014, 07:44:19 PM
So, is this the most epic scam of bitcointalk altcoins?

It would be epic, but I think not. Never attribute malice to what can be likely attributed to incompetence... Or something like that.
1183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 18, 2014, 07:01:15 PM
We have been on this price level from roughly March 31 until May 19 this year, so what's the deal

Nobody knows. Plenty of stories flying around. Regardless of the causes, we are flirting with key technical resistance points. If we break $440, then things could get interesting... imo of course.
1184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update Now to 0.9.5 wallet on: August 18, 2014, 12:56:50 PM
Trouble loggin into Cryptsy... Maybe there is more up there than I thought...
1185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update Now to 0.9.5 wallet on: August 18, 2014, 12:27:14 PM
just wait when uno is spiking in a few months - cryptsy will have deposit-issues. I can already bet my ass on it. I have been screwed by them many times before by this shutting off deposits/withdraws - tactic. I missed out on HUGE gains with VTC because they were keeping my deposit in limbo for 16h right after they added the market. I will not forget that. These are no technical issues. That shit is on purpose.

They are trading their own markets. Shutting off deposit during spikes and withdrawals during down-times makes perfect sense.

You could be right. Crypto world is full of chicanery.
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update Now to 0.9.5 wallet on: August 18, 2014, 12:08:37 PM
Yeah, I'm not sure that there's a greater conspiracy here. Looking at it, there just doesn't seem to be a market. If anyone here is trading, they're on alert about withdrawals not happening and if anyone did any UNO research, they are as well, so they likely went to the other exchanges...

It's just troubling to see problems not just with UNO, but the other coins listed above. I'm guessing there may be something larger going on with Big Vern and his crew...

This I feel is more likely. DMD was having trouble withdrawing too. Don't know about the other alts. My guess is some technical hitches, I have no reason to think it's anything more sinister at this point.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update Now to 0.9.5 wallet on: August 18, 2014, 11:40:29 AM
cryptsy - you know what makes sense to me?  They are under some kind of orders to repress UNO as much as possible, even holding an untouchable reserve slated for this purpose, (a large %, remember woo-long's quota?  Not that I'm relating this to him in any way, but there is an evident design pattern for entities to hold a very large percent, almost like a strict rubric from a cabal white paper for repression of cryptos.)

I've seen the patterns in all kinds of cryptos.  Along with these orders might even be instructions on what to say when they get 'hacked'.  ...And just look at those tiny-volume sell bot orders~!

cryptsy is BS, now.  This is not acceptable behavoir from an exchange.  Further, are we back to fractional-reserve cryptocurrency'ing?  Like Gox?  Hmm, smells like a federal agency around there.  (Was that the problem with CoinEx, too?)  If it isn't clear, I think cryptsy is being visited by crime boss henchmen, and are being told what to do.  Crime boss, as in, government associates.

Of all the coins on cryptsy, you genuinely think that they would target a specific alt? It makes no sense. Government could care less about small cap cryptos, Bitcoin is essentially centralised now, which means at some point it will be under corporate control of one sort or another (if it becomes that valuable). They are interested in control, which if they truly wanted it would take them no time at all to implement.
1188  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: August 18, 2014, 09:55:31 AM
I am calling it quits.

You are quitting what? BTC?

My guess is that the weak price action means he is tapping out.

Drooling over the chance to go sub 470.. Not too much though!

This is a resounding success by BFL standards. Party time.

Are you serious?  Another product that should have shipped in Feb!  Another joke in my eyes.
This forum desperately needs sarcasm tags.

No I think it's appropriate, my humour is so dry in real life that sometimes even my wife doesn't know that I'm joking!   Roll Eyes

With only 42 coins, what's the point?

Exactly. Without hype and uses the limited amount of coins basically means that it is dead coin hashing right now.

There are seriously interesting alts out there, not sure why this coin is zombieing along!

I think the hype is that all the "dot 0's" are still fractions of a large value coin. I don't expect to get one of the 42 but I also don't expect to find a Bitcoin block either, but I mine them also, and play the faucets.

I was taught to save my pennies growing up, now I'm collecting "dust"!

Each to his own. At least 42 has less to fall right now.

Title say's it all.

Yeah sorry, I suppose I must have been mistaken on the hash rate.

I have a question about the DMD multipool (http://multipool.bit.diamonds/).

It's the third day I'm mining there with 320 Gh/s and I still got no payouts. Is this normal or will it ever happen?

three days no payout that is not normal stop the mining and try to withdraw your coins.

This is a multipool from which I can't withdraw manually. Looks like I'll have to wait for the exchanges working properly.

u cant withdraw manually thats true

when u click mining stats and confirmed BTC u see how much btc u gathered
(and this number increase  if u continue mining so u know mining rewards are arriving and wait for conversion)
and once cryptsy opens withdraws again we will run the btc-DMD conversion and u get the DMD

to switch multipool onto usecryptos need first a market with buy and sell orders there and a price close to cryptsy price
and second the api need a withdraw command which isnt existing now but they implement it for us

i expect a few days more until dmd payout from DMD multipool will arrive

but it will be big junk
multipool have already close to 0.5 btc gathered and waiting to convert it

Yes -- of course -- I've understood that. Are you considering to leave Cryptsy some day? There were a lot problems with them in the past. Now let's sit and wait.

I think cryptsy is simply bloated by it's size and slow to deal with any issues. While I don't like that and it makes me wary, on further reflection I don't think that there will be too much to worry about by the time they get their act together.

I ordered some for fun, but you won't be making anything with them unless you have free electric!

The spread amongst uneducated people is very sad. But for the most part I think it will self-contain, being as deadly as it is. Even in a densely populated area.

Hi bigtime, is the case big enough to fit a gpu? I've sent you pm to talk.  Thanks

I had a look when I first got it (was going to put an old 7950 in if I kept it) and it should fit a GPU no problem, there is adequate room in the case.
