261  Economy / Speculation / Re: I LOVE BITCOIN on: January 18, 2018, 12:38:47 PM
Forget HODLing, BTC is on sale. BUY BUY BUY!

Its Christmas time.... I just got some extra btc, eth, xmr and siacoin for a good deal, its funny that everyone saying its to late and too expensive to get in when price is up and the same people keep nagging that its Armageddon time and they are not going to buy because its crashing. Lol

My own friend got some btc last week and was complaining that he was regretted that he didn't listen to me couple of years ago to buy and now its too expensive. He just called me for advice asking if he should get out as everything is crashing..... I told him this is exactly the right moment to buy but as expected he is totally stressing. Funny thing is that he owns only 250 euro worth of bitcoin (his car is 30000 euro) and he is totally freaking out about his bitcoin. I love bitcoin  Grin

New investors don't know how cryptocurrencies markets behaves, and he's frightened by the dip in bitcoin price. - 30% in two days is huge for some markets but not for bitcoin.

True Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are extremely volatile and this dip is nothing special.
262  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why this sharp drop in currencies ? on: January 18, 2018, 11:54:44 AM
This happens every january. There is a drop and everybody starts panic selling.
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KFC now accepts Bitcoin! on: January 15, 2018, 09:47:25 PM
I'm wondering how KFC can accept Bitcoin when BTC fees are through the roof and confirmation takes so long.
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: January 02, 2018, 07:18:51 AM
Bitcoin will never replace gold. It is the digital equivalent of gold though. Gold will be here forever too.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to invest 1btc on altcoin, whats your choice? on: December 18, 2017, 05:20:48 AM
I don't necessarily have a suggestion as to which altcoin to invest in, but my recommendation would be don't panic if/when the price drops and plan on selling for at least 2x the price you bought for after a few years.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoKitties proves Ethereum and it will only get better. on: December 10, 2017, 03:11:19 PM
My opinion is that the CryptoKittie craze has been very good for Ethereum. I've seen comments that the Ethereum network can't handle a large number of transactions but this is patently untrue.

Prior to the cats being let out of the bag, in one day about 10 days ago now, Ethereum processed over 500,000 transactions, more than half of ALL cryptocurrency transactions and the vast majority of those were at approx 12 seconds and for a very low gas price.

Since then, the number of transactions per day has been increasing up to almost 800,000, even with kitties and dwarfing transactions by all other currencies combined!

Yes, transaction times have increased as has the price of gas (which is extremely frustrating), but this is due to scaling which will be sorted out in due course with solutions coming on board, in fact some are already on the mainnet.

We have Plasma, Raiden and in particular, Sharding, to look forward to which will not only bring transaction times back down again, but also GAS fees.

The crypto world has never seen the like of kitties before and even CryptoKitties themselves never expected such a reaction to their project, it's unprecedented but actually works and is continuing to do so.

This can only bode well for the future as we are now aware of the issues at a very early stage in the Ethereum network development and development of solutions will now be at the forefront of developers minds.

Rather than be disheartened this is positive I believe.

Yeah I am seeing tons of posts about CryptoKitties, or at least a couple so far, and it seems to be going viral. Hope the ETH network gets faster and gas prices decrease soon though. Tongue
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STRATIS for Longterm investment! on: December 10, 2017, 03:00:31 PM
My long-term go-to is Monero. I heard Monero has tons of potential compared to any other altcoin right now because it is 100% anonymous which is one of, if not the main points to crypto in the first place.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So the first blockchain game is now live on Ethereum. Wow. on: December 10, 2017, 02:58:29 PM
this game is not made for me. eth games don't take my interest but i m concerned when more games will be developed and eth blockchain would be slower than now. i can't trade correctly with eth blockchain currently. and what will happen with eth price when games will run on eth blockchain.

Having the same experience as you. ETH trading is slower. There are much faster altcoins out there, but hopefully in a few years the major cryptos will have their stuff figured out as far as LN or whatever.
269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin More Important Than Ethereum ? on: December 09, 2017, 11:48:55 PM
Bitcoin is more important the Ethereum right now because it has the first-mover advantage and it is a worldwide known brand and the only brand everyone knows associated with cryptocurrencies. ETH is catching up though, only a matter of time before it passes BTC I think.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What the games you play as you earn? on: December 09, 2017, 03:40:32 PM
I do not do so much gambling but I do trade and earn cryptocurrency from trading on WEX (formerly known at BTC-E before being shut down by the USA government).
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 09, 2017, 03:33:59 PM
What a win from West Ham. Rather than talking about the losing team, I think Moyes and his players deserve all the attention. I don't think there's a clear MVP as the whole team displayed a great performance today.

Burnley (7th) vs Watford (8th)

This one looks like is going to be an entertaining match. Burnley could potentially jump to 5th position with a win, but only if Tottenham and Arsenal drop points. Over 1.5 Goals

Yeah I am surprised at how well they performed as well. They should give the MVP to the goalie as a default when it is too hard to decide. Tongue
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: December 09, 2017, 03:29:14 PM
This is an easy one to answer man. It is way better to invest your money than to gamble. When you gamble you can win a lot very fast, but normally you will lose in the long run, whereas investing usually pays off in the long run. Tongue
273  Economy / Gambling / Re: Feedback platform for protecting players on: December 09, 2017, 08:10:49 AM
Yeah I think this is an amazing idea. There always needs to be some sort of feedback/review mechanism otherwise things get very shady and it is impossible to do business.
274  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinople.com - Casino software as a service on: December 09, 2017, 07:20:58 AM
The problem I have with such software is that once a few people use it it stops being unique and you can't operate or I should say you can't dominate your field of business if you are not unique in what you offer.
275  Economy / Gambling / Re: Article: Australian gamblers lose a record $24b in a year on: December 09, 2017, 07:15:50 AM
This is understandable since when you multiply the population of Australia it doesn't amount to that much per household despite that number being so high.

278  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinCasino.info | All you need to know about Bitcoin gambling! on: December 09, 2017, 06:50:32 AM
I didn't go to the site (don't have time right now), but might check it out later. In my experience, it is always important when gambling to bet according to the best mathmaticall probabilities to avoid losing your money even faster.
