286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whales questions? on: November 29, 2017, 04:02:21 AM
Ok anyone over 1000 bitcoins is a whale yeah.

Makes them a multi millionaire I see.

Curious to know how many people own more than 1000 BTC each?

Those multi millionaires why are they not cashing at $10000 and become multi millionaires now? What are they waiting for  Huh

They want to earn even more money, will you sell now knowing the price may hit 25k or 30k in the near future, they may sell a part of their stash and enjoy the great life but they keep most of their coins that way you get to enjoy your riches and you have the possibility to earn even more if bitcoin keeps growing.

That's because anyone who is a real BTC whale knows that 10k BTC is just the beginning and not even close to what the price will be in the coming years. This is what happens when the supply is the way it is, scarce, and all these network effects going on at the same time. It's a whirlwind of good energy for BTC and it's network and we are seeing this with the price now.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: November 27, 2017, 09:53:19 PM
If BTC dies, which it won't, then yes altcoins die as well. I don't know why people think altcoins are not somehow tied to BTC. They think because they created them via an ERC20 toekn on the Ethereum network that they can just exist individually. The thing is that all these other cryptocurrencies are tied to the value of BTC. BTC is the ruler bceause it is sound money that functions on an immutable settlement network.
288  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: November 27, 2017, 09:41:23 PM
What do you think a about it? is it good or bad for bitcoin?
my opinion is good because there we can exchange ideas by mining bitcoin to gain profit. I am one of the bitcoin members in my city. I can learn many things from how to earn a lot of money.

Yeah and at the same time, it's being introduced to more and more people which of course will further increase it's value. It's likely this year that many people took btc seriously considering the blow up in btc demand

AS for me, BTC looks only as investment instruments. No, better sounds like that "great high-profitable investment instrument". It won't be use as fiat currency, nobody will spand coins for orders, only HODL. It's great for community and other HODLers, but not for bitcoin expancion.

The Bitcoin community is always on the rise my friend. Ever since the first transaction happened between Satoshi Nakamoto and Hal Finney. This is because the network is voluntary, open source, and decentralized. These 3 fundamental characteristics is what builds the foundation for Bitcoin and bitcoin. The network, and the currency now have something to build from in terms of network effects.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin seems outdated on: November 24, 2017, 10:08:05 PM
Bitcoin seems outdated because you are American. I don't even have to ask. You want instant gratification and do not care able everything that is involved with making consensus happen on a universally immutable ledger that benefits everyone. You want your coffee, with your low fees. You probably love alts too. Get outta here with your impatience, and find balance in your life. The world still doesn't even know about BTC yet...
290  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: November 23, 2017, 09:49:39 PM
The Bitcoin community is still rising no doubt. There are a lot of people talking about it and there is a lot of research and work that is going into making the network stronger and better and more immutable to attacks. Soon people will be able to build on the network to a greater audience but they can still practice and get in on it early before everyone wants to build on the BTC BC.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoin will make us rich? on: November 22, 2017, 06:03:52 PM
There is no guarantee on which altcoin will make you rich, but the ones with that are privacy related and speed related tend to do the best. Obviously you need your solid developer team that listens to the community with what it wants, and actually gives it. For that reason, I am highlighting Groestlcoin as that altcoin that will do that. They are the first to implement Segwit and the Lightning Network I'm pretty sure - LN for sure.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I the only one this unlucky during my entry into investments and crypto? on: November 21, 2017, 10:01:01 PM
Buying some books and getting into the basics would save you money.
However even if you get some knowledge + experience and won't be doing trivial mistakes, it's still not easy to multiply your BTC (by >1 of cource:). I mean it's relatively easy to make some profit in USD on growing market, but making profit in BTC is takes A LOT of skill and sometimes luck.

Dr. Alexander Elder says in his book, that a very good result for the first year of trading is not to give up and not to loose more than 10%. For second year it's good if you get the same you started with. And only third year of daytrading you can hope to make some profit.

So Hodl your coins and it'll save lots of time, nerves and cash. And rather likely than not you'll get some profit.

And a little bonus to support you. Here is the poll about cryptotrading.
https://goo.gl/forms/3XVfqoendEXSVl7E2

You'll find out the results when you complete it.

I did one in one russian telegram channel and got over 150 responses from traders. 65% didn't make any profit. And 70% out of the successful part are trading less than 3 months. So this might be just a luck. Let's find out how things look here on bitcointalk!

Naw man you're not, and if this is the case you should just stop investing into other cryptos and hold your BTC. You will be much better off and live a less stressful like because you will actually make money and you do not have to waste time looking at charts so you can use your time and energy to make more money. This is what it is all about for newbies, or how it should be anways.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is illegal in some country on: November 21, 2017, 02:08:24 AM
Yes bitcoin can be deemed illegal by whatever nation or state but that is there choice and it is not a good one. The reason for that is because they are segregating themselves from the rest of the world. BTC can be used all over the world and if you try and make people scared of it or regulate it and tax it then people aren't going to want to build anything there. People can still get away with using it though, that doesn't matter.
294  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 btc=8000$ (buy or sell?) on: November 17, 2017, 05:03:33 PM
Bitcoin is popular now and 8000$ is not the limit to this crypto. The demand is big, but it is going to become huge in sooner time. So, if you have not enough patience to wait for some more - cash it out. But I swear, you are going to regret of your decision and impatience.
Yeah your right, but for security it's better if we sell now bitcoin. Then when bitcoin value goes down again in the market then buy again bitcoin. That's the right way of controlling bitcoin amount in your wallet. It is a simple trading that gives you a sure income in the future.

Keep buying. Keep buying until $100k BTC, even a million, because it's going to be worth billions and trillions once it accounts for all the current debt that exists today when it is the new reserve currency of the world. You can sell a tiny amount after several years but that is it because there is potential for a lot more in the price of BTC so just stay patient my friend.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Losing faith in BTC... on: November 15, 2017, 09:13:29 PM
If you are losing faith in BTC then you should sell and do what everybody else is doing which is buying BCH, right? Wrong! Don't listen to the hype and look into what really matters. If you cannot shut out the noise and you are susceptible to getting excited and being invested in projects without doing the proper research then you are never going to succeed in any. BTC will never die, it'll be the world's reserve currency forever.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a mode of payment on: November 15, 2017, 01:13:41 PM
Bitcoin as a mode of payment right now is not what it is meant for. I'm tired of reading people complain about fees and using the Bitcoin network right now. It is not meant to be a medium of exchange right now. It is not at the point in it's scaling process. It is still in it's store of value stage and that is just where it needs to be right now. The world needs censorship-resistant settlement network, not a payment network.

298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit $8k in December due to CME on: November 14, 2017, 09:33:48 PM
Bitcoin will hit 8k in December but it won't necessarily be because of the CME. There are already half of the total supply of bitcoins that have been distributed and I heard a stat of about roughly 25% of those bitcoins being lost. If you think about that and how much supply is left and match it with the demand which is huge, this is the driving force of the price IMO.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS Altcoin Transaction Confirmation Speed on: November 14, 2017, 01:03:11 PM
This is an ongoing thing in the space that is starting to get frustrating because people aren't taking the time to look into the networks they're going to be using. Bitcoin is not meant for fast and cheap transactions right now. It is supposed to be this way so people use it as a store of value while the network becomes more decentralized and more secure. In the meantime sure you can use LTC for small spends.
300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: job and trading together.. on: November 10, 2017, 12:23:03 PM
Having a job and trading is not the best idea because if you lose you will just be depressed at work waiting until the next chance you can invest again. If you are working you don't have time to focus and figure out a relaxed strategy so you end up making rash decisions just to try and start trading to make $ because it seems like that's what everyone else is doing.
