It can go to such amazing levels but it depends whether a lot of people adopt or don't and of course the way it is presented to the people.It has to be explained the benefits and the pros of adopting it.Then we can actually see a huge spike in the economy.

You heard wrong. They attempted to dump all the ETC to buy ETH and use that to fund development on the forked chain. The exchanges Poloniex and Kraken now have frozen some of those funds.
The white hat hacking group actually has connections with the Ethereum foundation. Now they have Swiss lawyers involved in the return of the funds. That is bad news for the DAO holders because they might lawyer their way from giving the funds back to the actual owners.
Why did they not return the funds right away?
I think they want to influence the price of the ETH and ETC. But that is just my speculation, not necessary true. |

It seems that is no firm decision yet. Following the events of the last 24 hours we want to keep the community updated: After having received repeated legal threats from various individuals holding significant stakes in The DAO (still continuing), we sought legal advice to help us pursue our goal without endangering ourselves or the salvaged funds. We found support and legal advice from Bity SA, a trusted Swiss entity. It has agreed to protect, secure and later distribute the funds equitably under an independent Swiss legal structure. The number 1 goal has always been to ensure that the salvaged funds are distributed in a fair, transparent and just manner. This remains unchanged. When the salvaged ETC were able to be recovered, signals were received from the greater community to distribute these ETC in ETH, to continue to support Ethereum projects. Also, a large portion of the community does not have the technical ability to safely work both with ETC and ETH in the same address; therefore, returning part of salvaged ETC in ETH seemed to be the safest for all the parties involved. The first actions from the Swiss structure took place Tuesday August 9th and it preferred to not announce the movement of ETC in advance to avoid speculators taking advantage of the situation. Right now just holding the bitcoins is the best investement as fas as i am concerned.Other investments are pretty risky like investing in any altcoins because can not trust them much and also there are ponzy sites so stay away from them.Just hold bitcoins and wait for the price to increase.
Not all are scams. Dash, zeitcoin, clam just to name a few. it is better not to invest in any cryptos because even if it wasnt a scam the price of it can easily go down and not allow us to make any good money Of course you can invest in crypto, crypto is the future and it will grow beyond our expectations and if you don't have faith in crypto then why are you wasting your time here. It is just nice that we are here in the crypto world because I can see a lot of opportunities here aside from having work online. With our chances to invest that makes it more favorable for us but still we need to be a risk taker to make money. I bought a few bitcoin in early 2013. But I think I am not the first taker. we've heard a bunch of times about fiat money and escalating problems. any reason for bitcoin to decline rapidly and all the online wallets closing down how will everyone fear the loss of bitcoins. It can happen because its the problem with real money its causing bitcoin to get blocked halfway.
I always think about this. Some people say if the bitcoin price goes down to 1$ then I will buy as many as I can afford, some people say if the price drops down to 1$ after all of this then it means there must be something wrong and definetly should be stayed away. I realized I am in the middle of it. I will not sell everything I own and buy bitcoin if it drop down to 1$ but I will probably buy at least 100 of it. I think bitcoin won't decline that much, the price is what people say how much it is. Instead of fiat where goverments and finance sector decides how much 1$ is worth. I have bought a few bitcoin in 2013 and 2015. I have hold most of them since then. I just used some in the mean time. |

If they dumped the ETC at a price of $2 each, that is good money. thats true though the hacker is definitely not going to be dumping his money soon, i think that he will hold it for the future when a pump will happen Nobody dares to pump the ETC if he knows somebody will dump the coins to him at a very high price. |

For any coin if you buy it and hold for longer and prefer it for your usage, and all other also do the same, then you will get it at a higher value within a shorter time, I am holding my LIR and I promote it and suggest to my friend to invest in it, I hope it will have greater value sooner. I have mined some ETC recently when the profitably was high. I usually sold it instantly just in case it was dumped by big holders. You are quite wise. There is a drop of ETC price recently. The price trend is going lower, so it is better not to mine it. If you are a miner and also an investor, you can mine it and hope you will sell it at a higher price later. |

Invest your money in trading if you want to get a good profit, and don't play gambling or invest your money in gambling because it is risky and winning chances are very less. And one thing more don't invest your all money in trading too because it is also little bit risky. Yeah invest part of it in trading and rest save it for future, so even if your trade goes wrong your saved bitcoins will help you in future. yes I think trading is currently the best way, many new coins are born, you can take advantage of the new coins and invest in ICO. but you should still be careful and choose a nice coins. For me ETC is the best altcoin at a moment, I already double my coins in last one week, and I am still playing with it on daily basis, but not sure how long it will survive. yes one week ETC is a very profitable coin, I also benefited quite a lot from the ETC, but if you choose a safe coin I think ETH safer than ETC. If you go through the news related to ETC then its very positive and it has lot potential to grow in coming weeks, so my primary focus at this stage is to invest in ETC. The ETC price is dropping at the moment, in fact in the last week. So you can buy more ETC with the same amount of investment. |

The only crisis that I have witness now is when there is a hacking with the bitfinex and I can really tell that it affected the economy of bitcoin as evidenced by the big price fall back, but we are too lucky now as the price is rising back again and it is going to the right direction to be back to normal or even surpass the last high price before the big fall back.
The Bitfinex hack delayed the bitcoin price rise to $1000 by at least three months. I thought the price could reach $1000 in the middle of next year. |

As long as there are people who measure bitcoin's price with usd, there won't be a mass adoption. Actually we are already in a mass adoption phase. People are using bitcoin to gain more Usd, that is the base problem.
It depends on how to describe mass adoption, for me we are still in the early stage and we have not achieve a massive adoption yet. If massive adoption will be achieve we are not seeing this price only because it will significantly grow substantially IMO. We are in the very early stage of mass adoption. The mass adoption is that when many people use bitcoin once a week at least. |

BTC future prediction is simple - dedicated computer user market, small for the whole computer user market. No shops in nearest future due to long transaction time and most possible also just as exception - some banks.  The infrastructure of fast transaction is being built, for example the lighting network. The block size will also increase. |

Well, that is why there are a lot of ways to earn money because we do have the same skills, others are good in trading while some are just good in doing an online work and no risk for them. Since trading is more profitable than any other means of making money it is also fair that it is more risky.
Investing in bitcoin does not need too much skill. I just bought some bitcoin in 2013, and keep them, and the price rose. That is what I am doing. I mine some altcoins and then sell them for the bitcoin and hold the bitcoin. |

With ETC you know this will not happen. Now we only need Charles and the rest to start a solid team of professional coders to start doing all the hard work. You should buy more ETC if you think that way and if you are a strong support of Ethereum. The EthDev is going to let you have the ETC. |

The bitcoin price is around $592 now. I think the price has recovered from the Bitfinex hack and will rise again.
not fully recovered, but as expected the 600 mark was very strong, and we are seeing a fast recover after that gigantic hack of 120k coin before the dumping the market was ready to increase The 120k bitcoin hack means the 120k bitcoin to be taken out of circulation. So it is something like holding. |
